  4. I agree..... My own take on this whole food share idea is that it's really a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Gathering food is already ridiculously easy enough for anyone to do as is cooking. As for actual sharing, you can already do that with friends or randoms nearby (if you want to take that chance). I do it all the time when I have a good carass, large pelt, meat, etc. I'll let my friend take it or vice versa when we go hunting together. A good portion of the RDO experience is about the grind and some of the routines folks need to go through. .....and hunting, cooking and/or buying your own food from a vendor to maintain your character is part of that. The same an be said about leveling and earning enough money to create or unlock certain ammo types for yourself.

  5. Nah, got better things to do than to be trapped inside a carousell format of a video game. No offense dude

  9. Or even a butcher in every town. Surely towns without a butcher must fancy meat purchasing locally rather than a long journey to another town. In those days frozen food was a like witchcraft, rotten food was the norm.

  10. The whole thing is being blown out of proportion. If you kill more animals than you can carry, they despawn. They respawn fairly quickly. It is not like the buffalo spawn once in a day cycle or something. I just don't understand to need to simplify one of the games basic activities. In GTA , your character was not dependent on food like it is in RDO. Apples and oranges. I played solo until about level 50 and not once did I feel the need to go to the local Red Dead Soup Kitchen for a hot free meal. I don't feel it really has a place or is needed. Nothing should be free. Want food? Hunt/buy. Want money/xp? Grind missions/Showdown,etc. Seems pretty simple. Why over complicate it? I'm all for people buying all the meat you can hunt in game from the butcher. If you don't want to hunt or can't shoot animals...you have the options to buy what you need. Handouts are never a good idea. And I feel most have been respectful for the most part. It is just some people like to release their dark side apparently when people don't agree with them. No need to lash out at people. I understand this is the internet, but still. No need to get insulting or disrespectful. I know personally I am an asshole. And I am fine with that. But I have behaved myself very well even when provoked. So Chill out. Maybe try decaf.

  11. I'm only pointing out why I feel this "food share" thing isn't a good idea and how the OP is suggesting ideas to a problem that he himself created. And quite frankly sounds fairly lazy. His and others crying about things like that cause good games to go in a bad direction that most don't want. The pve/lazy crowd tends to win and cause the game to spiral and then in comes the pay to win (ohno i don't have money to fast travel, or ohhh why can't i just buy explosive ammo with gold despite not being ranked for it). Maybe if you pvp'd a bit more you'd have something to do eh? Nothing to complain about the new modes, it's there for a good reason. I feel quite positive about it in fact, despite my intention of staying offensive. Even I get griefed, although I can count on one hand the times I have been (although once was my fault for being too stubborn to parley).

  14. No one is stopping you from hunting for yourself either. If you're so bad at the game that you need handouts, then idk what to tell you. It's a nice gesture but not needed. You can just as easily kill something and give it to someone. Also also, to the one wanting to open up a shop to sell animal parts. Why? When it's cheaper to hunt the animal yourself. What do we need parts for, right now? Even single player the stuff that the trapper was asking for wasn't difficult to get.

  16. That happened to two guys in my posse at the same time last week. I couldn't stop laughing. It was horrible because they were making diabetic jokes (one of them is a diabetic so I guess that makes it somewhat okay? lol)

  18. Lack of Content. People are just bored as hell with the game, and their dripfed content and PvP mode updates aren't helping anything in Free Roam which should be their main focus. There are a million PvP games with the same game modes. There are few to non with the Free Roam aspect. People have already hunted to the point of extinction, same with fishing. Stranger missions are being done in people's sleep considering they played the hell out of them. As long as there isn't anything noteworthy being released in Free Roam you will see this increase at a fast rate.

  20. I believe animals are just graded small/medium/large when it comes to XP awarding. Birds are your best bet as they can easily be taken down in groups and award the same as a medium animal. Hunting is better for grinding $ than for XP although it does rack up the XP over a time, especially when you add in the XP for the awards you can get from it.

  23. You can't put yourself on call for player assassinations. It just happens randomly no matter your rank or dot color. Supposedly it's supposed to target purple/dark red players but sometimes blue ones too. I guess you've not been targeted yet it seems.

  24. That's really to cool to hear. I'm one that thanks you guys, i mean you get enough disrespect from people i figure you'd like to hear a thank you now and then. I do the same for police and firemen. I think it takes a special kinda person (in a good way) to do what you guys and the law enforcement and rescue services do.

  25. Well that was quite a read, so thanks for that. Let's see. First, no I am not trying to create problems for myself or complain at all, lol. I enjoy the game very much and feel it is very detailed, so I like to think of ways to add to that experience,. To me it is all part of living in this era in this place with these people., Sure they are make believe, this is all a game, I know that, but I am playing it to escape for a while to experience life as an outlaw in 1899 or thereabouts, so why not enjoy it and try to help others? I do believe in helping others, especially new players. Think about this, if every new player that came along at this point saw the problems with this game and decided to bail how that would effect us all, the game needs players, all players of all types, so if you dont agree on something or find it useful, that is ok, just move on, you are allowed to skip a post, and if you disagree, you can express that but remember it is not my opinion vs yours here, it is an idea, lets let those who like the idea cultivate it, they arent hunting anyone. I appreciate your concern for my ability to enjoy the game, but I want to enjoy it my own way, just like you, and just like every other person, I would never stand in the way of another person enjoying this game. Not every idea is a good idea, but not discussing it, is a bad idea, from these discussions come many great things, so, if you dont like me or my posts, that is your right and I dont mind at all. We dont have to agree or disagree, there is no right or wrong here, only discuss. Whether you get my idea or think it is stupid its all good. The food share has its place and merit, your play through may be diferent than mine, but I really enjoy elevating people, helping them out, surprising them with kindness. Everytime I have 6 gators at my feet and I see a blue dot, I always let them know, they are welcome to come by and grab one on their way to wherever they are going. I know it is pixels on the ground not real, but it is a game, it feels real at times and so I want to play it like it were real, if that bothers you, I dunno what to tell ya, we disagree about the game, lol so what? You do you, Ill do me, we will both be fine. Im glad to see so much discussion, while we wait for things to improve. you never know what might come of it, but there are no bad ideas or thoughts, as long as hey remain ideas and thoughts to discuss. It isnt about feeling bad for the imaginary animals,it is the experience of feeling like, wasting perfectly good animal carcasses just doesnt sit well with me, and I want to be more conservative and less wasteful. In a world where earning 100$ takes a while, free carcasses you can sell for a few bucks makes perfect sense. If I looked at this game as some do, feelingless pixels I wouldnt be so passionate about the game, Rockstar created an incredible world for us to enjoy, we have an obligation to do our part to imagine the rest and feel apart of the time period, otherwise why bother with all the details and awesome graphics? May as well play a mmorpg on your phone. ( I have no idea what an mmorpg is) sure you can chose to reduce it to its dumbest common denominator and see it only as a shooter, and hey there are game modes within this game that allow you to do just that, and those are really fun, and thats fine, but I see it differently, and I am not alone, so why not take my advice and live and let live, if you disagree, thats fine with me, but why tell me about it? In Free Roam it isnt like any other game, maybe the GTA series since it is the same company I suppose, but this is the evolution of these games in this genre, so some people migth not get he idea of playing the game like we are really living in this map, I try to do just that, and sometimes things like wasting money pop up and I have a thought, lol that is why we have forums, to talk about these things. I dont care that you disagree, lol just go back to the game and skip my post, better yet block me if you dont like my content, it is your choice, I am talking to like minded folks who also have god ideas and we enjoy the idea of "what could be" or "why is it like that" sometimes and i is nice to pay devils advocate sometimes and discuss said things. After all it iis a role playing fantasy game with incredible graphics and amazing details, it makes me think about living in the time, and if I did you can bet your butt I wouldn't leave dead animal carcasses everywhere feeding the vultures and worms, I would probably use a cart, lol but since that is a tough thing to repeatedly do in RDR2O the next best thing is to share the animals with other players who I see out hunting near me, and guess what? they like it too and have taken the carcasses so..... it works.

  26. ^^^ I agree...well said. I went from a 'holy smokes, these graphic look awesome' to a 'meh...looks nice'. The game has lost some of its beauty and lustre...and it now looks at tad bit drab and muddy. I really didn't think it would be much of a hit... but it does change the way I feel about the game now. I'm all about visual candy. It's pretty equal to gameplay for me.

  27. After a few days of exploring, I think I've found all of the jewelry spawns in Online. I think I've hit every location across the entire map but please let me know if I've missed any. I haven't found any jewelry past Blackwater which is odd. General rule, Loot everything in these marked locations and you will find it. (Unless somebody has beat you to it) - Jewelry items are random. Example: you might get a ring, bracelet, necklace, or 2 earrings from the same "box" in multiple tries. - Some locations have 2 jewelry spawns ("Hanging Dog Ranch", "Painted Sky", "Martha's Swain")
