  1. Who is having a Red Dead Online gaming marathon this weekend? I will be taking breaks to watch Wyatt Earp's Revenge and other Western's as well.

  4. I was actually wondering about this. I didn't know if you got all the games free, just one or what. Thanks for clarifying that @Vendetta I am going to preorder the game shortly here. Just waiting on the misses to get back with my card. Had to do some food shopping.

  5. I'd love to me. Unfortunately, my say was wasted at work and I have to go to a family thing tomorrow. I feel like I didn't even get a weekend this week. The last time I got to play RDR2 for longer than an hour was months ago. Thankfully, work will slow down soon and with the PC release, I can avoid the kids and wife and lock myself in my office. lol

  6. While you have a pistol drawn quickly double tap R1 (RB for Xbox, I assume) and Arthur or John will spin it on his finger before holstering it.

  7. Have you heard anything on the stream preorder deals? Like if they are going to have some or not? I have not been able to find any information on this myself. I would much rather use Steam than go through Rockstar's launcher.

  9. Back in January I would have thought no way will they introduce hammers as weapons. Lol. Also from January, we ended up with bolos and lamat as well.

  10. Yes, solo players can do it. You will have some normal 2 or 3 star bounties that you need to collect 2 or 4 bounties in one mission. With the 4 bounties, I just shoot them all throw them in the bounty wagon & bring them in. If you don't have a bounty wagon & have to capture 2 bounties. I hogtie 1 of them, throw um on the horse & shoot the other one, lasso the dead bounty & drag his ass back to the sheriff. For Legendary you can do them solo too. The Owlhoot family we had to gather 4 bounties, but the best part was each bounty had it's own separate camp. But for the Barbarella 4 & 5 star you had to capture her & 2 of her lieutenants. She would run, but the other two bounties stayed back in the camp. It doesn't cost 35 gold for the bounty license, it's only 15. The Outlaw Pass is 35 gold.

  11. I do not think that getting attacked during a trade delivery is the same as griefing, unless attacks are continued after the mission is over.

  12. I see attacking rival wagons as a totally legitimate part of the game and not griefing at all. Having said that I would like to see it trigger a decent bounty, if only for a while to alert bounty hunters. When stealing these supplies we're playing bandit so it would make sense. It would also give the bounty hunter players something to do which they were sold but is sorely lacking. Another point not made so far is just how much those wagons are worth to a good size posse. With 625 dollars for a long distance delivery and six posse members scoring 300 each that wagon becomes worth close to two and a half thousand. It's worth making friends out their folks.

  13. Personally, this is the type of purpose I’ve been craving since launch. Want my wagon? Come and try to take it. Want to keep your wagon? Try and stop me from stealing it... I hated the random senseless psycho killer thing going on. I see much less of this now and much more purposeful conflict. I’m happy with these changes and look forward to even more.

  14. No, not that I know of. I always thought Halloween was only an issue in heavily Christian areas, TBH. They have been trying to get Columbus Day changed to Indigenous Peoples’ Day for some time now, but outside of extremely liberal areas like SF, no one seems to care and Columbus Day continues sailing onward.🤣

  15. ...thing is, the mechanic isn't broken, it's just that you don't like it. Nothing wrong with that though. This is part of the risk / reward. If you commit to a delivery, there's no backing out which IMO is good. Part of the risk / anticipation / excitement is that other players may choose to ambush you. You decide on which route you want, etc. based on how much risk you're willing to take. If people were allowed to cancel when things got hairy, where's the challenge in that? Deliveries are risky and part of that risk is being attacked by other players. .....as such, it's is not considered"griefing" when you fall victim. Right, wrong or indifferent, that is part of the game in relation to these kinds of missions / events. You're talking about levying penalties against players who are playing within the rules of the game as if they were griefing. The reason they are able to go into defensive mode after the event is because it's over at that point. If you pursue them when all is said and done because you're upset about the outcome, then you are the aggressor. Same as the target side missions, mail deliveries, etc. Again, you're punishing players simply for participating in the missions / events. It can't be handled the same as griefers are in Free Roam. If penalties are so high, then no one would want to even try to attack. .....what would be the point in even allowing it then? As others said, choose the safer routes or better yet, find a group to team up with so you have added protection. IME, that alone is usually enough to deter aggressors on these types of missions.

  16. To add to what @C20Dragon said, use ONLY the varmint rifle. Any other weapon will destroy the eggs.

  17. Ah, griefers...if I remember, my very first feedback to Rockstar had to do with why when I'm fishing, I'm basically standing there with a fishing rod in my hand, no map for me to see, totally defenseless. It's like my pants are down around my ankles and I can't even move to protect myself. Why, when in that mode, don't I have camp-like protection? Even when I'm hunting, I at least can be aware of my map and surroundings and I have a gun in hand. But fishing? I find myself to be totally vulnerable in that mode--and I find no reason to let griefers attack me then. If camp is supposed to offer protection (though it really doesn't...), why not when I'm fishing? Why should every griefer in the game be able to one shot me in that mode? I could even see mutual combat in free roam, the way the Old West was before the ways of the East settled in. But that's mutual. Not griefing bullies taking advantage of players when they're trying to go to the butcher. Many griefers say they want to live free and pot shot people "the way they did in the Old West," but they want to do it with little or no consequences. What's the going rate for murdering someone in Red Dead Online, $2? Sure, grief the way you want with little or no consequences--but that's not what happened in the Old West. Spawn killing and back shooting while fishing or hunting populate this game--but Rockstar has actual modes in this game that highlight the shoot 'em up portions of the Old West that I want. It also has missions that I enjoy and want more of (and I'm still trying to figure out why one of them was deleted). Some sneaky griefer who pops me while spawning in or fishing or at the butcher isn't worth my time. That's why I just take the death, report, block, then send their name to Rockstar in my feedback asking them why they are allowing this to go on. Now to the real reason I posted here--I personally don't want a murder-free roam (though I am tired of the griefing in this game) but I do want to rank up my character and get money. I try to gain XP and money because the best weapons and equipment are locked behind level and cash locks. That's why I built my character up, along with ranking up to get better hunting weapons and ammo. Hell, you even have to be a certain level to fish, right? What weapon should I use on that grizzly bear? I certainly don't use any of the beginner weapons. The only thing I felt might be worth a gold purchase is that fast travel hitch in my camp--but I'm rank 54 now, so I figure I'll just grind it out--and I can do that because I did rank up and have ranked weapons and ammo to do that. XP and money are needed to do most things in this game efficiently. I also enjoy taking down bandit camps, something I wouldn't risk without ranked up weapons and ammunition. Sure, Mrs. LeClerk finishes Teddy off, but I want to help get rid of his boys and put him in that weakened condition for her. I can do that because I have ranked up and have the materials to do that.

  18. R* doesn't want you to be in PVE only mode earning money with no risk. They want you to buy Gold. And if you are grinding away in a Farmville mode, you most likely will not buy Gold and have a ton of cash. Why do you think they nerfed hunting?
