  1. You've got a knife, right? Just off the top of my head.... You can kill someone and steal their money. You can trample on fish in the shallows of rivers and collect them in the water or as they wash up on shore. You can get up close and kill animals in a pen on farms. Obviously, some of those actions come with consequences of their own. .....or how about this.... Pick herbs and sell them to the doc / shop. There's plenty of them and you can get enough money to buy some ammo so you can hunt. Build up your ammo next time and keep an eye on it.

  2. Lasso a deer (or antelope etc.) and kill it with your knife... sell to butcher... repeat a few times and stock up on ammo...

  3. Hate to be the one to break it too you, but doing the long delivery just puts you at risk. That’s why it pays more. Also, I’ve personally never noticed the animals so bad it takes five hours to find one... when the spawns are bad, I just jump servers and it seems to fix it. As for the camp, well, it might not always end up where I want it, but even with the bugs it doesn’t take me more than about 10-15 minutes of screwing around to set one up (while doing other things such as a bounty) though I agree that bugs making life difficult is annoying. Now what this has to do with someone else (or multiple someone else’s) using the game mechanics to rob you and save themselves the hassle of hunting and screwing with their camps (you know, kind of like an outlaw in the Wild West Might actually do) I’m not so sure. You are after all volunteering to make the long delivery and expose yourself greater risk, and they’re just playing with it the mechanics of the game to profit off of you. I get it can be frustrating, but there are things you can do to lower your exposure, such as making a local delivery for less money, or teaming up with a posse to make delivery runs. Bottom line, if someone jacks your long delivery, they likely aren’t doing it just to make you feel bad. They are just using the game as designed to boost their supplies. They likely don’t know more information than some guy is making a delivery and there are no dots around him, easy target for some quick free supplies. And Honestly, it’s your own fault for making the long run alone. I mean, I do it frequently myself, and if someone comes for my wagon I fight like the devil to keep it. But I like the challenge. When I’m not in the mood to take the risk or fight players I’ll stick to a local delivery.

  4. What you want to use is eagle eye and look for the little particles floating up from pick-able herbs... I don’t know the PC buttons to turn it on. As for lassoing deer, the only real way is to charge after them on your horse with no regard for breaking his leg (he won’t break his leg, though you may crash into something).

  5. I am guessing it is in part to keep people on their own launcher but there has to be more to it than that. With the issues I have been having as well as everyone else, I am thinking maybe they wanted a month to fix the problems before the game comes out for Steam. It is far easier to get your money back if you find the game is having too many issues on Steam vs buying it through the Rockstar launcher. Thoughts?

  6. We are going to give this a trial run to see .)1 who might be interested and see if there are people who want to do this and .)2 what ideas we can put together for it as a group. So my thought was start with 1 persistent posse of 7, unless of course we have enough players to form 2, 7 man posse's. We would then work as a group or whoever was on at the same time, and do patrols, if we find a situation where newer players are being harassed we form a quick plan of attack and come in gunz blazing and protect them, wipe out the griefiing squad or individual. We set up a temp for now discord so we can chat and figure stuff out outside of the game, it is free and easy to use, this way we have a central meeting place. In game we arent goign to claim territory and get bogged down with defending turf, our turf is the entire map. We will decide everything we do as a group, so for that reason we want to recruit like minded people who think this would be fun. If you have any interest in an xbox group like this let me know, Im trying to get a feel for if there is any interest at all or not, then we will go from there. No ranks, no strict rules, possibly partial uniforms, but nothing too serious, just something to show we are together, probably the same hats and shirts, or ponchos, but again, we are just brainstorming. Most of all it needs to be light and fun, and positive, we want to make a positive impact on the game we love. All levels are welcomed however it woudl be nice to get as many higher level players as we can for obvious reasons, I am level 148 currently, my partner in this is level 32.

  7. There is a problem with annoying mouse cursor during all game process. It's just don't disappearing, moving across the screen everytime. SOLVED. Found a forum with lots of people with same issue. In my case helped next solution. 1. Totally reinstall Rockstar Games Launcher and Social Club (maybe optional) 2. Add to exception to Windows Firewall Rockstar Games Launcher and Social Club 3. Rockstar Games Launcher and Epic Games Store set to run as Administrator 4. In game directory set PlayRDR2.exe compatibility with Windows 8 5. The main thing: totally delete C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\Rockstar Games folder 6. Start game. No more annoying cursor! IMPORTANT: completing paragraph 5 may cause reset of game progress. I didn't synchronized my cloud saves with local after reinstalling Rockstar Games Launcher. But my progress ended on first chapter, so I didn't lost much. Solution search progress: 1. Looking for any corresponding triggers in options menu - No effect. 2. Changing ingame screen resolution - No effect. 3. Changing fullscreen/windowed mode - No effect. 4. Trying to shutdown Social Club Overlay - No way to be done. 5. Alt-Tab game - No effect. 6. Playing with Xbox gamepad - No effect (!). 7. Video driver update - No effect. 8. Launch as Administrator - No effect. 9. Searching solution in the internet - No effect. 10. Contacting Rockstar support service - No answer. 11. Dancing with tambourine, beating head over the wall, praying, crying - No effect. Thanks for following ideas: 12. Installing old drivers - No effect. 13. Turn off Nvidia overlay - No effect. 14. Display pointer trails in mouse options - No effect. Maybe someone here? Have any ideas?

  8. Completed five long distance deliveries a couple of nights ago with my posse. Each taking turns as posse leader with a full large wagon. A pretty nice chunk of change for all concerned with no hint of trouble, which if anything disappointed us. If you want big money running solo then collecting is your safest bet. Local deliveries are a decent solo payday as well. Many prefer to lone wolf it and that's fair enough but if you play with that (or any) constraint then parts of the game will always be harder or completely out of reach. I wouldn't be able to do the big bounties alone either.

  9. The game worked fine for the first 15 hours then it crashed. when I restarted the game I had the mouse on screen all time issue. After looking around all day I found this and it worked for me. Turn on mouse pointer trails. All the people I found doing this say to make the mouse trails long but I found setting them to short worked as well for me. That way you can leave them on all the time and you wont go crazy looking at them on desktop. After you set this you will have to use the back space, arrow keys and enter key to navigate the menus in game.

  11. That is excellent advice and what R* recommends as well. In fact, part of the reason they delayed to the released of RDO with the console was to allow some time for players to get immersed and enjoy the campaign first. For some reason a think a good portion of folks jump right in to online with the idea that if they don't, they'll be left behind, etc.

  12. Thanks! I got my lasso out and naturally a cougar jumped me lol. I have to get more familiar with what keys bring up what weapons. A friend has started this game too and just advised me to go back and do the single player story first to learn things and THEN do the online so.. I am off to try that now

  13. for dead eye just press middle mouse button that is the default. Once you are in Dead eye assuming you have eaten and maintained your Dead eye core. (check cores by double tapping left ALT , if they are orange/red or empty you need to eat the beer in camp is great for dead eye. Then press middle mouse to go into dead eye look around and you will see like magic seeds rising from the ground (those herbs you can pick by holding R over them. Also when you get a Treasure map you can use Dead eye to find it it will also glow like the herbs but its going to be orange.. makes finding anything really easy! GL

  14. Hey I'm on now! We are older guys 30's we dont curse or are high rate its a chill environment and I'm showing my best friend who just got the game the ropes as well. You dont have to use voice chat you can always use a type chat if there is one. If you are still confused make ur way over to Twitch or Mixer and look for a stream with like 10 people or less. Ask them all the questions you like they are always very help full.

  15. Thank you for the suggestions. Killing is a no for me lol. I want to be a good girl. How do I find herbs? I have read something about using dead eye but I have yet to figure out HOW to access dead eye. I am only level 5, could that be why? Trample fish.. will try it. Lasso a deer.. will try but so far I have not been able to get close to any animal since they run away. . except wolves! They always find me.

  16. No, I actually run solo most of the time. I also don’t tend to steal wagons all that often, maybe once in a blue moon if I happen to see one and I’m not in the middle of something else. But if I did steal your wagon, not only would it not be griefing (you are allowed to steal a wagon from a rival and it’s actually encouraged. Not to mention well within the theme of being a Wild West outlaw) but I’m really not put out all that badly if you destroyed your wagon. I won’t get the free supplies, sure, but I wasn’t likely banking on them anyway. It was merely an opportunity for a little bonus to me. At the end of the day, I’m out 10 seconds to respawn and get my bearings and I go on with my day. You are the one out all that work that never translated into money. I’d personally make the effort to actually recover my wagon. running local deliveries is a good strategy if you are not willing to take the risk of being robbed. There is a reason you get payed more for the long delivery...

  18. Welcome to the forum man. Loving the avatar choice. I am sure you will find some people on here to posse up with. When I start playing online, I may send you a PM. I have only tested it for a bit but had a few buggy issues so I am sticking with the campaign for now.

  20. When you are in dead eye mode, depending on what weapon(s) you are using, you mark enemies (One, or several) by touching them with the "crosshaair", press left mouse button to execute your directive. Edit: Just discovered; When you advance far enough you get to manually mark your enemies with "Q", when you are in dead eye mode, so you don't accidentally mark everybody on their thighs or shoot their horse or whatever all the time.

  21. From a different game: Works for some. I know you tried Alt/Tab already fixing the bug 1. It is actually very simple, all you have to do when your mouse cursor is in the game is to simple press ALT+TAB and go back to your desktop. 2. ALT+TAB again in to your game once (the game window should be filled with darkness). 3. Use your mouse and move it in to the middle of your screen, if you see it there, that means that the mouse will be visible in game. 4. Move your mouse to the outside of the game screen ( i prefer right edge, don't ask why). 5. click once, move your mouse back in to the middle of the screen. If you dont see your mouse cursor, then you are good to go. 6. ALT+TAB in to your game. if it has not worked repeat from step 1.

  22. Same. I'm not much of a Parleyer, myself, but in Pluck's situation, (a lvl 4 being griefed by 3 x 150+s for 1.5 hours) I'd have thought the option would have come up, and I might have been inclined to deploy it, by then. I've never actually resorted to changing servers yet, but that would be the other option. Or accept an invite to a freeroam event, for that matter. The point being that you don't just need to spend 1.5 hours being murdered - there are multiple ways to get out of the situation, if you want. I personally haven't got to the point yet of it not being fun - if the going gets tough, load up the explosive rounds and dynamite arrows, and at least take 'em down with you.

  23. I tried those a few weeks ago. They smell amazing. The flavor is similar to those pastel melting mints with the white balls on the bottom. I think they are meant for baking recipes. My mother always had a bag when I was growing up and have be a few after dinner each night.

  24. I was wondering the same thing. I am just going to start it once I am done messing around on my computer for the night. I know sometimes when I am downloading a game, my internet kind of slows down and that can be a pain if I want to play something or watch something while I am waiting.

  25. You can definitely mod online, there’s no question about that. There’s seems to a lot of people modding in GTA Online.

  26. My guess would come down to the cost of running all the servers. I am not familiar with how the network system works entirely but to host a lot of private lobbies among the rest would likely cost them more money.

  27. I do own it. When I see that red dot appear, I'm hard riding towards it, loading E-rounds, eating minty big game, and guzzling moonshine the whole way. And yet I'm honorable, helpful and have never picked a fight with someone minding their own business. I become "provoked" when a "RIVAL TRADER" makes their own CHOICE to throw the gauntlet down and select the "try and take it" button instead of choosing local. They threw it down, I'm picking it up. I have a choice, and so does the seller.
