  1. I don't think you're giving it a chance. I have a proper job, a family, a dog to walk, other time consuming hobbies, and I currently have everything I want and need in game, plus RDO$3,500 and 220 gold bars in the bank, and I must have spent another $3,000 on stuff I never use. I did buy the opening offer of half price gold bars, but I never really needed them. You only need to buy gold if you want EVERYTHING! NOW! Otherwise, it all comes in good time. Do some daily challenges to scrape together 15 gold (should be able to do that in 10 days, if you try), buy either collector or trader role, and the $$$s start rolling in.

  2. Never tested that specific scenario, but I don't think they could. My hypothesis: last night a posse mate shot someone who killed his horse. Player parlayed with the posse. I left the posse to avenge the horse, and I couldn't touch him due to the parlay, even though I didn't shoot him and wasn't in the posse anymore. So I doubt they could attack because they were in the posse when mission started. I am interested in finding out for sure though. I'll test it tonight or tomorrow. I'm intrigued. But..... In addition to that, you don't get money or goods for stealing a wagon. You get a portion of the "materials" . The traitor would still need to produce goods and deliver to make money, putting them even farther behind, when they could have gotten $312 already And.... The chances of that happening are so remote I wouldn't worry. You are FAR, FAR, FAR, more likely to lose your wagon to the biggest wagon thief in the game.....ROCKSTAR.

  3. Not saying people wouldn't do that but amazingly R* seem to have set it up that its not worth the trouble. If you're doing a full 100 goods distant delivery, a posse member stands to make $312. If they do what you say and hijack the wagon I think they have to take it to their own camp to steal the goods (not sure, never done it) which is a major hassle to them as it may be a long trek from your delivery point and they have to fend off 1 extremely irate ex-posse leader to win.

  4. So, 4th times a charm I guess, I have had the game for over a year, played it to completion three times and got my online character up to level 291. I was looking at the pc version and graphics and then looking for Stadia info because I really would love to see it at 4k/60. I was getting 4k/30 with my set up but it didnt feel it. I decided to look at my tv settings and realized I have two or three settings that are specifically for the refresh rate/vsync, they were set to their minimum values and said to increase the refresh rate and reduce judder turn them up, so I did and TADA !!! its like a new game!! I cant believe how much clearer it is, the graphics are the same, but the fps have increased dramatically. When I would ride on my horse and look to the side before to see something it would be blury, hard to focus, etc..I got used to it and managed, but now when I look to the sides it is crystal clear, like a cinematic mode all the time sort of effect, it looks amazing and has inspired me to play it yet again!! every step of the way as I go through the game is blowing me away it looks so amazing I am loving it all over again. I cant believe I had the game a year and never realized I had the ability to increase frames per second in my tv settings, I just never thought about it. So, if you do play on a 4k display, you might have some settings in there that are designed to help reduce artifacts and judders and issues that if you try them you may find that you get better frames and smoother play. Ive played the game at 1080p and 4k and now 4k / 30 or smoother and the difference is night and day it is like a different game, more breathtaking that ever, my next stop is to look at Stadia to see if I can run it at 4k/60 as they claim but I want to see at what quality they run it at on their servers, if it is as good as the xbox one X I am all in with it, but we have to wait and see, I think it releases in a day or two. I loved the game before this, it looked amazing, I only had a little slow down in St Denis or Valentine or sometimes around fire and trains and lots of people, etc.. otherwise it runs pretty smoothly all the time, but now as I said it is much better than I was used too, I am so glad I took the time to look into it, but wish I had done this a year ago.

  5. .....and thats pretty much what it boils down to. I'm sorry but it sounds like some want the ability to reap the benefits of these missions without the risk. Long distance deliveries are meant to be more challenging by introducing rival players but they also encourage people to play as a team. Posse up if you want to even the odds. .....or use the option R* provided to soloists looking to avoid conflict and do local deliveries.

  6. Hate to be the one to break it too you, but doing the long delivery just puts you at risk. That’s why it pays more. Also, I’ve personally never noticed the animals so bad it takes five hours to find one... when the spawns are bad, I just jump servers and it seems to fix it. As for the camp, well, it might not always end up where I want it, but even with the bugs it doesn’t take me more than about 10-15 minutes of screwing around to set one up (while doing other things such as a bounty) though I agree that bugs making life difficult is annoying. Now what this has to do with someone else (or multiple someone else’s) using the game mechanics to rob you and save themselves the hassle of hunting and screwing with their camps (you know, kind of like an outlaw in the Wild West Might actually do) I’m not so sure. You are after all volunteering to make the long delivery and expose yourself greater risk, and they’re just playing with it the mechanics of the game to profit off of you. I get it can be frustrating, but there are things you can do to lower your exposure, such as making a local delivery for less money, or teaming up with a posse to make delivery runs. Bottom line, if someone jacks your long delivery, they likely aren’t doing it just to make you feel bad. They are just using the game as designed to boost their supplies. They likely don’t know more information than some guy is making a delivery and there are no dots around him, easy target for some quick free supplies. And Honestly, it’s your own fault for making the long run alone. I mean, I do it frequently myself, and if someone comes for my wagon I fight like the devil to keep it. But I like the challenge. When I’m not in the mood to take the risk or fight players I’ll stick to a local delivery.

  7. Hello, I purchased RDR2 the day it released for PC. My brother also purchased the game. I was able to login and play the game without any issues other then the random closed unexpectedly crash. My brother on the other hand, was never able to play online at all. He would always get the error code due to Rockstar services code. We tried so many things, uninstalling/reinstalling, changing out SSD's, changing routers, updating display drivers, windows 10 updates. Obviously did the recommended suggestions from Rockstar, deleting such and such and relogging in. Nothing ever worked. Finally, he was able to instead of selecting free roam and trying to logging straight in and getting error, he selected Fear of The Dark game mode, and when he got to the menu, he just selected Exit to Freeroam, and finally he was able to get into a session and play the game after 4 days. This worked for us. He sometimes still gets dc'd, but finally able to play the game he paid for. This may or may not work for you, but it's def worth a shot as we deserve to be able to play the game we paid for ! I really hope this helps even a few people, GOOD LUCK, and hope you don't cross me on the Poker tables !!!!!! ALSO, if you have someone you trust that can play the game NP, they can log onto your account/char and press esc, go to play and delete the char. This also works Brother was still having DC issue after about an hour or so, and we tried this and worked fine, havn't dc'd or got connection error all day !!

  8. The brown one is a thoroughbred and the black is a Kentucky Saddler. Both roamed the Heartlands west of Emerald ranch. I noticed that the thoroughbreds are bigger. The smaller ones are the Morgans. I don't get those.

  9. Same. He does amazing work for sure! Marry me? Divorce me? lol jokes aside, yes I am playing it. Yes, I am loving it. The story is refreshing and breaks away from everything else out there. Too many games are too similar and I am not a fan of that. I like to experience different stories, styles of game play, and different genres. This has buttered my role nicely and will keep me content for at least a few months. I am playing it very slowly.

  10. Yes I'm playing it. I'm a big fan of Hideo Kojima's games. Ever since MGS1. Played most of his MGS games. Really enjoyied MGSV. Remember the controversy and drama with him and Konami's breakup. So when this game was announced, I was very curious to see what comes of it. The trailers made it look visually stunning and impressive. But what the heck was going on!? What kind of game is this? I took the plunge and got it. Started playing it last week when it went live. It is weird. It is trippy. It's like being in someone else's dream. I am only a few hours into it. I am enjoying it. Most of my missions have been delivery missions. Where "stuff" happens. Being intentionally vague as to not be spoilery. These missions are oddly relaxing. Before "stuff" happens. It's like hiking in real life, where you try to figure out the best way to go from point A to point B. You can wind up in dangerous terrain if you are too hasty. It's a walking simulator. I know that may sound lame for a game, but it's actually fun. When "stuff" happens, it then starts to remind me of being stealthy in MGS games. Very tense. Scary when it goes south. I'm playing on Hard difficulty. It feels like a good challenge. I wanted to see what happens when I didn't get away from one of these encounters. I was able to respawn nearby. But now it looks like there is a ginormous crater where that went down. Hmmm ... I wonder what happens if I lose multiple times? Also, no boss fights yet. The game has an online component. But is not multiplayer. So things other players do in their world, building objects, can show up in my world. And I can use them to help me out. And vice versa with me building things, that players in their own games can interact with. I imagine this game is going to split people. Some folks like me are going to really like it. Others are not.

  11. Oh sorry, I completely misunderstood you. You just aim your gun and click down the scroll wheel on the mouse.

  12. If you want it now, you pay for it. That is how a lot of these games function. It is not a pay to win game but a pay to progress quicker game. This is not to say it takes a long time to stack up gold and supplies nor does it take forever to level. Once you get going, you will actually find it becomes too easy to level up.

  13. When I used a PS4 controller on my Windows PC for gaming, I had to use this additional free software called DS4 for it to work. At the time, it did not have rumble support. Otherwise it worked pretty similar to an XBOX controller. http://ds4windows.com/ Here is a video guide. I ended up getting an XBOX controller to use instead. For it was confusing to me to have the game tell me to hit A/B/X/Y referencing XBOX controller, when my PS4 Controller is Squard/Circle/Triangle/X. Also at the time, I really wanted that rumble support. This was a few years back.

  14. In rdr1 there was an option to join servers that had auto aim off completely for everyone. That should be for rdr2 too.

  15. Since the roles update, money isn't an issue. If you're new and can't afford a role, then money may be tight while you save up for it, doing low paying stranger missions. But that's just paying your dues, and earning your way up. I've never bought gold, and never will. But...I paid my dues, sucked it up and earned my way up, now I have more money than I can spend. If you're worried about a $20 Cripps resupply (10 minutes fyi) then you're doing it wrong. Posse: if people have been in your posse before they can rejoin anytime you have it formed. Unless YOU have too many already, or THEY are affiliated with too many. If someone has more than you, OR is better than you, that means they have no life, and no job. Wow, learned something new today.

  16. As @Harlock1796 said above, give it a chance as it really doesn't need to be full time to pay. I have four kids and two jobs, my wife has a career job, too, we're a very busy household. I bought the half price initial gold, bought the trader role, a few weeks later I'm rich and I play Saturday mornings and several evenings a week (but not for that long, generally - one long session but the others are just an hour or less while my wife does the kids' bedtime. Both Trader and Collector rake in a fortune. And with Collector you rank up very quickly so get to most of the unlocks, if you're in a hurry. It rewards patience (like anything worthwhile), but does not need massive numbers of hours invested to get somewhere. But then, I didn't try to run a permanent posse in my first week.

  18. Thanks for all the replies - I've been running 100 goods distant deliveries solo until now, which carries its own frissant of excitement (had to deploy explosive ammo last night to discourage a lone opportunist), but will try inviting a posse next time, if its not worth them ganking me.

  19. I imagine the horses you will be able to tame aren't generally going to be particularly good performers. Most of the wild horses I've seen have been things like Morgans and Kentucky Saddlers, i.e. beginner level horses. Perfectly good to capture, tame and sell for a few dollars, but not likely to become your new ride. If there is a new horse related role at some point (let's hope) that might give you the opportunity to track and tame better quality horses, in a similar vein to legendary bounties.

  20. Yes, there are missions that unlock features like this. For this one, it's the Chapter 2 mission: "Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego". Other missions through the story missions unlock other aspects of gameplay, so there's a balance to be found between free-roam exploration and the story missions. If you really want to get the full experience of the game, I'd recommend that you use your first play-through as a practice run to learn the mechanics and when certain aspects are unlocked. Then restart the game over - you're looking at months rather than hours to get the most out of this game.

  21. Wife let slip today that it's going to be my Christmas present, possibly a couple weeks early. I don't own a console, so it's been a long wait as it is, a few more weeks won't matter. I wonder if my watching all those Youtube vids about it might have been her clue...........

  22. Thanks for the link! I did submit the suggestion if it’s the case with the PC that you indeed cannot create a second account in order to create an online character. I’m investigating it more.

  23. Thanks. Yeah, this is the new PC version. If it can be done simply by creating another account then heck yeah, that would make more sense - if indeed you can create a second account on the PC.

  24. No penalty for target for jumping. But you'll spend more than 5 minutes loading in and (maybe) setting up a camp again. I just ride the RR tracks when targeted. Never been caught, and in 5 minutes I get their reward. Although now i hardly ever see it, when I do it's a level 12 or something. Seeing people doing stranger missions is rare since the roles update. I.M.E.

  26. Completed five long distance deliveries a couple of nights ago with my posse. Each taking turns as posse leader with a full large wagon. A pretty nice chunk of change for all concerned with no hint of trouble, which if anything disappointed us. If you want big money running solo then collecting is your safest bet. Local deliveries are a decent solo payday as well. Many prefer to lone wolf it and that's fair enough but if you play with that (or any) constraint then parts of the game will always be harder or completely out of reach. I wouldn't be able to do the big bounties alone either.

  27. The feedback link allows you to submit your feedback (e.g. likes, dislikes, suggestions, etc.). You will never receive a response when submitting feedback. That's not the way it works. Besides, what would you expect them to say besides a canned response they would give everyone? ...."Thank you for your submission. We review all feedback and appreciate your contribution". Don't think that the feedback doesn't matter because it does. In fact, many of the changes made since the beta for RDO were a direct result of this feedback. .....and just because your particular idea isn't implemented doesn't mean that they don't care or think it's a bad idea but perhaps it's just not that popular? ....so, use the Feedback site if you want or don't if you think you're wasting your time. In either case, I doubt you will ever get a personal response acknowledging your request for these items and a confirmation that they'll be included. That's just not the way it works. The fact of the matter is that if enough people submit the same or similar ideas, then it may likely be included in the game at some point. ......but if no one submits these suggestions then nothing will get done, right?

  28. No, I actually run solo most of the time. I also don’t tend to steal wagons all that often, maybe once in a blue moon if I happen to see one and I’m not in the middle of something else. But if I did steal your wagon, not only would it not be griefing (you are allowed to steal a wagon from a rival and it’s actually encouraged. Not to mention well within the theme of being a Wild West outlaw) but I’m really not put out all that badly if you destroyed your wagon. I won’t get the free supplies, sure, but I wasn’t likely banking on them anyway. It was merely an opportunity for a little bonus to me. At the end of the day, I’m out 10 seconds to respawn and get my bearings and I go on with my day. You are the one out all that work that never translated into money. I’d personally make the effort to actually recover my wagon. running local deliveries is a good strategy if you are not willing to take the risk of being robbed. There is a reason you get payed more for the long delivery...

  29. I remember having to return something on Black Friday. It was my only option as I was going out of town later that day for the week. I get the feeling that support for a popular video game is similar to going out on Black Friday. It is just a mess.
