Agreed. I play these games for the enjoyment of them. That's why I don't like to skip portions of the gameplay just to make money, wait / run down the clock to maximize profits, repeat the same missions / actions over and over again, etc. If it's not fun, then it's not fun and I won't play. When it becomes too much of a grind, I move on.3 points

More popular? The game has been out for over a year. I'd also say it's relatively popular already and the current economy is the result of tweaks they've already made along the way. In fact, they made drastic changes early on in the beta because of the cost of in-game items were too high. Also, any items locked behind GBs are essentially cosmetic. .....and gamers love their cosmetics these days. If anything, I think they will continue to add more items people can buy with gold like that to encourage more GB purchases. I don't think they would necessarily screw with the in-game economy so that it's harder to make money in regards to progression. That would further discourage any new players just joining the game who have to start from scratch in a game world that is much bigger content wise than it was a year ago. .....many more things to spend money and gold on. That in itself will encourage some to buy GBs. As for high level rewards, players that spend a lot of time in RDO are already richly rewarded IMO. While they haven't been able to benefit from all bonuses offered, there have plenty of giveaways of free in-game cash / gold, payout/XP multipliers, etc. People that don't play RDo frequently miss out on a lot of that. .......but yeah, special outfits, special gun skins and cosmetic stuff like that, why not. It's a really popular thing these days and if it makes higher level players happy to have them, I think they should consider it as an incentive to keep them playing especially since there are no more unlocks after a certain point.2 points

^ Same. I've completed the Moonshiner role and I haven't been to my shack even once ever since. I'm not going to bother - selling 10-15 collector items to Madam Nazar gives me as much (if not even more, depending on what kinds of items they are) money as a really good Moonshine sale and it's just not worth it. AND I don't have to pay anything to prepare things. Same goes for Trader - I'm not gonna bother looking for non-existing animals for hours and hours and I'm not gonna bother trying to set up a camp over and over again. And I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way. R* really needs to do something or they're gonna lose even more players than they already have lost over the issues that have plagued the game ever since the beta went live.2 points

They cut it early for GTAO too. All I know is that certain people here had complained about it so I'm sure they're happy it's gone. ......but then again, I think some wouldn't be happy regardless.2 points

Yeah, if your not going to kill the revenue men, why even bother? LOL. I myself prefer the kill them at the roadblock before it becomes an issue method. It just makes it more fun... especially more fun than auto playing the game from another room... ”The revenue man wanted grand daddy bad, went up to the holler with everything he had. It was before my time by I’ve been told, he never come back from Copperhead road”2 points

My cousin has the same problem, he see's no bounties on the board except legendary, which he's done and gets no reward or xp. He also has a permanent bounty on himself for 0c. Everytime he comes near me I get a mission prompt to kill near by player for 0c. If I accept the mission and kill him I only become hostile and he still has the bounty on him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dSgwaWMNjI&t=8s We are guessing thats his problem but if you don't have the 0c bounty on you then I have no idea.1 point

So, I did finally finish the moonshiner role. Not because I enjoyed it though. Just so I could complete it and never repeat it. Love the new horse btw. I did exactly what I said above. Start the Mash. Go into the bar and set a timer. Read a book. When timer goes off 10 minutes before mash completes, add flavor. (this helps make sure your buyer doesn't change or disappear before moonshine is ready) Deliver the moonshine. Return to shack, rinse and repeat. This helped to minimize the bugs and glitches as I didn't do anything else to get in the way or come and go from the shack during the process except on delivery runs. And the book isn't bad either. After lvl 10 and onward I did start to make some money in the process. But hardly worth the aggravation and boredom. I will probably repeat the Maggie missions quite a lot. They were a lot of fun. And if it glitches out on me now it's no loss to progress. Other than that, my moonshine days are over. Good riddance. Completed my outlaw pass as well. Love the rebel poncho. Will definitely be sporting it on July 4th. Who knows, maybe by then there will be animals to hunt again.1 point

@Darconios not offended in the least... as for the bong rips, we’ll, I'm on the liquor and my bar is near enough to my TV I can play from there if I wanted... Or, just have a glass on my side table. I’m kind of with Kean... I don’t play this game to get fake rich and get all the virtual stuff... I’m a crazy old alcoholic who likes drinking more hooch than I sell and am making it my life mission to have those revenue boys go running at the most innocent mention of my name... LOL1 point

This is what I thought but even though I was on on the 23rd, it is not an option for me so who knows. Oh well. Not that big of a fan of the gun anyways.1 point

You can upgrade it, I did. First buy the shot gun, no variant then upgrade its parts, ie: barrel, sights, etc.. then, go ahead and change its look to what you want, ie: gold, brass, copper whatever you had in mind, then add the variant. Now, to get your metals on the variant, it is a process of the following. Open the customize screen, pick the dble barrel shotgun from the list, then variant, then Krampus or whatever it says, then back out to the customize screen where it is the list of weapons and do it again, if you do this as fast as you can 4 times, you will notice the gun change appearance as you do it, first the barrel will disappear, then the rest except the frame, etc.. after 4 times if you did it right you should land on the krampus variant with your metal colors in tact. It may take a few tries to get it to work, but it does work, I did this with my bolt action, my pump shotgun my lancaster and now my dble barrel shotgun, you get a variation of the variant. I didnt take a pic of it, but if I can remember Ill post one later. Mine is gold.1 point

Both are unlocked in Chapter 6, the Litchfield after the mission mission "Mrs Sadie Adler, Widow - Part II" and the Repeating Shotgun after "Visiting Hours."1 point

I don't think I've ever seen a white one, but aside from selling it or breaking it down for its consumables, what point is there in keeping it when it will soon rot?1 point

It would be nice if it fit the semi auto shotgun. I opened it in gun store just to try,, nope. If you have the coupon then your golden vendetta.1 point

I thought if as long as you logged in prior, you would receive the shotgun regardless of the time you redeem it.1 point

Just wanted to give an update on my ban. I couldn't get a refund so I decided to play story mode until then. Got my ban lifted on 12/20. Started the game at reset level, but I had my 105 gold. I was really worried about the gold mostly and I got it all back. Needless to say I won't be starting any random posses in the near future. Thanks for the help everyone.1 point

Multiplayer games seldom do well on Steam in terms of reviews when they port them over from consoles. Look at other major games like the CoD ones for example. Most have a 50/50 split of positive and negative reviews, or worse.1 point

We certainly have lots of club that consider themselves our rivals, but we really try to just focus on ourselves. At the end of the day there's really no way to win wars in video games. We maintain the same name, same player accounts, and same standards for years. Others don't carry that burden the same way. We've had many many many clubs make runs at us over the years, only to shut down, change names, and pop up as other crews to start shooting at us again. As such, we've learned not to take game beefs too seriously. That said, I've certainly been in many club wars over the years and they can be great fun. It's just important to maintain balance. Our club is full of mature gamers and individuals that like to participate in all kinds of gameplay activities, like racing or taking photos, so as a club we need to be conscientious of that fact. If all we do is fight continuously online it would not be much fun for our more casual members.1 point

It's just a matter of focus. We're still very active on GTA, but to make the move to Red Dead successfully we needed the full attention and energy of the club behind it. Our recruiting process is extensive and requires a lot of club resources to support. If we split those resources I'm not sure we would do a great job on either game. As such, we decided to invest in making Red Dead a success and ultimately I think it was a good move. Individuals that earn club membership on Red Dead also earn the privilege of wearing the patch on GTA. Ultimately a Reaper Lord is a Reaper Lord no matter what game or console they are playing on. We recruit people, not accounts.1 point
