What's Your Favorite Nintendo 64 Game of All Time?
madfretter replied to DylBandit's topic in Off-Topic
I was working for Funcoland when the N64 launched, probably played every game when I was "working". While I did devote a lot of time painting questionable graphics on vehicles in Off road challenge, there was another. My N64 heart belongs to Goldeneye ....................slappers only -
Well, maybe......but definitely not Van Horn. Annesburg is a different story though, those people need an excuse to get out of that miserable town.
-
That is definitely one of the best solutions suggested so far. I'd want them to add a 30 second delay to go into it as well, to stop people from shooting and hiding so to speak.
-
............dude. How much caffeine did you drink prior to writing this? I mean, can you see noise now? Seriously though, this made me crack up. I really would like to have the option to set up a small camp anywhere on the map, makes it feel more real to me. They also could add a camper wagon since that's what people slept in back then anyways. They can shelf the war wagon for all I care. lol

It's all speculation until it's not. 8)

They are saying that they know they never will be able to stop all of it. Just by adding new things to do in the game they will "lessen griefing". Griefing is at a high point in this game right now because people are bored and just looking to kill time. Unfortunately that usually turns into them killing people while they are clearly not looking to be bothered. R*needs to give people more things to do and rewards for winning fights with people that fight back. Then, griefing will lower to a level where people won't even notice it.
-
Nothing concrete, but R* has stated roughly a few more months. But that can change at any point.
-
Yup, that's exactly what is happening to me. Are you still losing the upgraded horse moves, like the slide for a short period of time? Or do you always have them?
-
I haven't seen this happen yet, but there are definitely a lot of issues with the horse bonding. The one that I get constantly is a message telling me my horse achieved level one. When that happens I don't have access to the upgraded slide move. After about 10 minutes I gain access to the moves again. The bonding level always reads level 4 in the progress menu.

I buckled and bought enough gold to add to what they gave us to purchase the fast travel from camp. Normally I wouldn't, but it was a help for me and my posse to avoid tools. I don't regret it.
-
If R* split the servers and made half of them free aim , there would be a mass migration of trolls to the auto aim servers, leaving the rest of us in peace. Which I would be totally ok with.

Back in the beginning before we were 7. Need to take an updated photo. And before someones asks.... Yes, we always cook our dead. Ladies and Gentleman I present to you...... Skinnin for Innards.

I'm torn on this. one part of me wants to be able to pop into a pve mode, but part of me also sees where people will use this to grief and then go safe themselves. But I guess it wouldn't matter if I was pvp myself. I would only use this option when I am hunting and fishing. Other than that I'd have it on, when I'm riding around and what not. You bring up a really good point about the passive griefing, because the shooting does scare every animal in the area away, which sucks for all players. I still think the private lobbies are the way to go, adding more xp/cash for doing the same things in pvp servers.
-
In story mode.. how many main story missions involve riding your horse? Doing menial supply missions for the group? Can't progress without doing those either. I'm not going to try and convince you the game isn't a shooter. It's set in the old west, of course it involves guns and shooting,,, but it involves alot more than just that. My point is that this game isn't just a shooter.
-
Idk... I mean, I ride my horse more than I fire my guns, depends on the player.
-
Yup, private lobbies are needed desperately. They will give people a much needed break from the PVP. I don't agree this is a shooting game though, it is a game that has shooting, but that's not the sole focus.
-
That is very true. People are going to pick out the aspect of them game that they like most. Which is what makes this game awesome. R* just needs to make sure all aspects can be played without treading on the others.
-
I think the issue is that a lot of people consider this an online shooting game, which it is not. Call of duty is an online shooting game. RDR is an immersive online adventure game that has far too many other aspects to be considered just a shooter. Hunting, gathering, fishing, eating, animal care, treasure hunts, a compendium of animals and goals to complete.. the list goes on. Call of duty is an online shooting game because that is the main focus, requiring minimal other activities to complete the game. It is impossible to complete RDR2 without doing the things I listed above. Just because RDR2 used shooting as the base to build upon does not make it a shooting game anymore than Madden 19 is a running simulator. So, with that being said, I'll answer your question. I expect this game to be treated and developed into the open world, historical, interactive game that it was designed to be and not into yet another mindless run and gun shooter that requires nothing more than all of our available free time to memorize the spawn points and map and a ton of Mountain Dew.

part of the update.

It's probably a snake. They are super skittish and move so fast by the time you go to look they're long gone.
-
Good idea............but phrasing though.....lol
-
I was curious of that as well. I can tell you it is like 125 gold to purchase. Having the ability to fast travel whenever you want, without having to go into a town is priceless.
-
............I might have purchased fast travel at my camp... I regret nothing.
