Ok, I’m guessing that we don’t have the full story about what’s going wrong here. You say that you got a message indicating that you couldn’t pick up the watch because you couldn’t carry any more. You then say that you have the Satchel of the East, so that’s something that’s not right - I’m not sure there’s more than 98 watches in the map. And I’m pretty sure that Lenny’s pocket watch is a unique item so that inventory limit probably wouldn’t be affected anyway. We don’t hear about the camp requests being broken in this way- it’s not a known and common problem. So a couple of questions here. What else is broken in your game? Do you have a constant internet connection to your console? I’m not sure how the game works when it’s not connected.

Yeah, just share to OneDrive, that’s the easiest way. It’s a pain that you can’t share to YouTube directly from the console.

If you’re on an Xbox, you can share your capture to OneDrive and then download from there. I’m not sure how PlayStation works.

What happened to the special weapons I gained?
Foxtrot replied to Foxtrot's question in Questions & Answers
Darn, they’re right there in the weapon wheel as you said. But not in the compendium, which is weird. Oh well, not going to sweat it, there’s more weapons out the for me to complete the 48 needed for the completion criteria. -
Paint Your Wagon This brings back memories from my childhood. My granddad was a heavy smoker and he could sing this just perfect.

If your satchel is too full to pick up another watch (the right one), then discard some, or sell them to a fence and go back to the shack to collect it again - it'll still be here. Sorry, I missed that detail before I last posted. I'm just used to having the Satchel of the East and almost never seeing the "you can't pick this up" message.

I looked in the nearest stable, it was gone. Maybe the Valentine stable is something special, so I'll look back there. At some point, I'll go and claim Buell since I've (hopefully) done most of the dangerous stuff now.

What happened to the special weapons I gained?
Foxtrot replied to Foxtrot's question in Questions & Answers
I'm pretty sure I looked there. But I'll look again later on when I'm home. The key thing for me is that they're not in my weapons compendium - I only have the one (hunting) knife listed, along with the various throwing knives. -

Do you mean visiting the hermit, or glitching your way into the cavern with him?
-
Earlier in the game, I picked up the Civil War knife, and was given the jawbone knife as the reward for the Dino bone collection. However, neither of these weapons are in my inventory or appear in my compendium. What the heck happened to these special weapons (and probably others I've forgotten about)? Interestingly, I have the hewing, double headed, and viking axes, but the knives are gone.

I seem to remember that the Hosea request was initiated by examining a book by his tent, not just by watching him read. Some aspects are triggered by actions, some are limited to time of day, and some are only available in certain chapters (for example, you need to play dominoes with Tilly in Chapter 2). The triggers for these are documented on many of the gaming sites - Powerpyx is a good resource and there's a Wiki Article about this here on rdr2.org

Yeah, I lost my pre-order warhorse over that bridge. It can be really deflating to wake up after dying to see a strange brown nag wearing your saddle.
-
It should have been on the desk next to the typewriter. I've never really had a problem in finding items like this, so I'm wondering whether you've been to this place before and sold the watch to a fence without knowing the true meaning of it - I mean, there's plenty of watches around in the world and it would be easy to assume that this one is just another one to sell on. There's more than enough camp requests to get the achievement/trophy, so no need to assume they're all broken when you can't find one item.

My partner is way too conservative to let me watch Supergirl.

Phew, that's Horseman 9 done. I was afraid that crossing Dewberry creek at Emerald Ranch would count as water, but thankfully it didn't. I got a little slowed up by a Skinner ambush - I don't think they expected me to just ignore them and ride on through.
-
Yup, just tried that challenge and failed it. There was one part where the horse ran into a rock and John decided it was time to camp rather than get back on the horse again. Now I wish I had saved my game before making the next attempt.

Huh, so after all my problems trying to get Gambler 10, it turns out to be stupidly simple. I just went to Valentine and went all-in three times in a row and won each one.

Interesting find. I wonder whether this is some kind of glitch. What time of night is this, I'll take a ride over there and see if I see the same thing. Sometime later: Yes, this is confirmed. It looks as though there's a glowing light within the schoolhouse that turns off when you approach. If you back up, it goes away again. I thought this might just be the moonlight reflecting off something, but it's not. I captured this and stuck it on YouTube. Hope this shows what you saw well enough.

Barely Anyone Is Finishing Red Dead Redemption 2
Foxtrot replied to NewsBot's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Yes, some of the collectable strands actually requires John as Arthur isn't meant to get to the south western part of the map where some of the collectables are. -
Legendary Channel Catfish (#15) not in the map
Foxtrot replied to Pekke's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Ok, hope I've not spoilt too much for you. It looks as though you generally know what's coming up anyway. -
Legendary Channel Catfish (#15) not in the map
Foxtrot replied to Pekke's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Attempt to catch it. You've seen how that mission ends, and that's the end of it I'm afraid. If someone had figured out how to catch it, it would certainly be common knowledge by now. You'll see in your compendium that the Legendary Channel Catfish is 100% and Caught 0/1. -
Yes, stand on the ice toward the south end of the lake, looking toward the northeast shore and use the special lake lure as the bait. If you stand in the right place and use the right bait, then you almost always get the legendary fish on your first cast (well, that's how it happened for me). If in doubt, searching on YouTube will show you exactly where to stand.

Yeah. I started in van Horne early in the morning. I tried twice and hit the train twice. Ended up killing my horse. Again.

Gold bar locations re-stocked in Epilogue?
Foxtrot replied to lumper's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Yes, that’s the guide I’m using. I did wait a few in game days for the gator eggs, also tried a save/exit/load and they wouldn’t come back. I had the same thing with golden currants - I camped out for days on end waiting for them to sprout again. They only reappeared in the Epilogue. Still it’s a good thing there’s more than enough in the game.
