It gets old kinda quick when it extends for as long as it did in GTAO. I'll wager folks made them aware of that this time last year and this was their response.

What I'm saying is that you can't make a guess at the percentage of people having issues from total sales based on Steam reviews. Id say there's a good chunk but this "30%" is just a wild guess. .....could be more, could be less. We simply don't know.

Will the next "seasonal" content not be till summer?
Kean_1 replied to YellowDragon's topic in Red Dead Online
.....personally, I doubt they would go that long without another update. Check the update sticky if you want to get an idea of how they've been spacing these out. ......which reminds me, I have to update it with the latest patches / update threads. -
I got that but you missed my point.
-
......30% based on Steam reviews? Ok, but realize many don't even bother to review the game on Steam or anywhere else for that matter. Those who have problems, I'd wager they tend to voice their opinion and / or seek help via these types of mediums. .....point being that the actual number could be even lower as a whole.

No. There is no option to sell guns although in Online there is a gun locker available similar to what they have in GTAVO where you can store unused weapons. .......not in the campaign AFAIK though.

More popular? The game has been out for over a year. I'd also say it's relatively popular already and the current economy is the result of tweaks they've already made along the way. In fact, they made drastic changes early on in the beta because of the cost of in-game items were too high. Also, any items locked behind GBs are essentially cosmetic. .....and gamers love their cosmetics these days. If anything, I think they will continue to add more items people can buy with gold like that to encourage more GB purchases. I don't think they would necessarily screw with the in-game economy so that it's harder to make money in regards to progression. That would further discourage any new players just joining the game who have to start from scratch in a game world that is much bigger content wise than it was a year ago. .....many more things to spend money and gold on. That in itself will encourage some to buy GBs. As for high level rewards, players that spend a lot of time in RDO are already richly rewarded IMO. While they haven't been able to benefit from all bonuses offered, there have plenty of giveaways of free in-game cash / gold, payout/XP multipliers, etc. People that don't play RDo frequently miss out on a lot of that. .......but yeah, special outfits, special gun skins and cosmetic stuff like that, why not. It's a really popular thing these days and if it makes higher level players happy to have them, I think they should consider it as an incentive to keep them playing especially since there are no more unlocks after a certain point.

Will the next "seasonal" content not be till summer?
Kean_1 replied to YellowDragon's topic in Red Dead Online
Seems the "big" content updates have been seasonal / quarterly. ......so yeah, I'd expect something most likely in the next 3 - 4 months or so. -
Offense? .....naw. Just giving some other viewpoints on the subject is all. If you're in to playing the game the way you suggest, more power to you. I didn't take anything said here as trying to be offensive toward you or what you suggest (I certainly didn't intend to). ......sorry you took it that way.
-
Agreed. I play these games for the enjoyment of them. That's why I don't like to skip portions of the gameplay just to make money, wait / run down the clock to maximize profits, repeat the same missions / actions over and over again, etc. If it's not fun, then it's not fun and I won't play. When it becomes too much of a grind, I move on.
-
That's been something folks had noticed since the beta. Try submitting a suggestion through the R* Feedback site. Its obvious the effect exists but why they don't use it in the Grizzlies, I don't know.
-
....and yet you keep playing it.
-
They cut it early for GTAO too. All I know is that certain people here had complained about it so I'm sure they're happy it's gone. ......but then again, I think some wouldn't be happy regardless.
-
Yeah, not everyone is having problems and not everyone who is is having the same ones. My suggestion to those that do is to report them to R* Support if none of the recommendations people have been providing help your situation.

I can talk to the admin to see if there is a way to reset your password on your old account. .....or I can close the old account and let you use this new one but I will have to close one or the other either way. Let me know. EDIT: didn't hear back from you. I suspended your old acct and sent you a msg. PM me if you want to try to keep the old one vs. this new one and I'll help you.

Ah... I didn't know they got rid of the app completely.
-
The blips were taken out of the app quite a while before the PC release. That's when I ended up deleting it. It was pretty much useless to me at that point. I never made any connection to the PC release but yeah, ok. I'm not bent over it.
-
I didn't say it was neutered due to obsolescence. .....just that it became less eelevant after the changes with the inclusion of the new proximity blip mechanics and changes in that direction. I still found it useful for situational awareness, etc. but it didn't provide me any significant advantage as it once had. .....I used it religiously prior to that. I have no idea why they did it though. I do know that it provided what I felt was an unfair advantage to those who could use it though back in the day. ......didn't stop me though.
-
Well, before we didn't use to have proximity blips so the app was way more useful since everyone was visible. ......but then we got the proximity restrictions and the app (while I still found a use for it) simply wasn't as relevant. There was no advantage as there once was. The one exception is when fishing. The app used to give users the ability to see others approaching even with proximity limitations but now that's not an option anymore.

That s a good idea. I see certain people getting so frustrated over the game and I just think to myself, why bother? Report the bugs you guys have and take a break. .....well, that's what I do when I run into problems or a lull in interest regarding content, etc. GTAO and RDO are those types of games for me. Ones I play and then put aside for a while for various reasons. I'm usually engaged in several different games depending on which friends(s) I hook up with, if I'm solo, my / our mood, etc.

....well, it's not like common sense was some sort of foreign concept back then and that plays a big part of safety. .....but yeah, I get we're talking movies and games. Just had a knee jerk reaction to that video.
