....definitely.

Yes, they were releasing hotfixes constantly but there are still some with certain issues.
-
You can report griefers using the in-game feature. You can also report them through R* Support (there is a sub section for it) and provide Feedback through their feedback site. I would also suggest using Defensive Mode when possible to also help mitigate their advantage over you in a fight while also providing you more options if you are killed.
-
Your mode should go back to your default choice automatically after an offensive mission (they changed this in one of the updates) but it's best to check anyway as that may not always be the case. I don't think it always works as intended.
-
Defensive mode should be in the Free Roam menu under Online Options I believe. I'm not aware that PC is different than console in this regard.

Do you have the weapon storage option available / unlocked for your camp? If not, maybe try logging off and closing the game, etc. .....and maybe stating the obvious, but are you sure the horse you're trying to access is yours? I might also try stabling the horse and calling out another if you have one, etc.
-
Gotcha, thanks. I couldn't remember for sure how that worked.

I believe you're right @Madrigalianwhich was why I went with the medium(?) scope on my rifles.

Hi Lucy and welcome to the forums.

If by restocking you mean your reserves rather than what your player is carrying, you can do that through the catalogue anywhere while in Free Roam vs. doing it in the gunsmith's store for example. Ammo you buy by pulling up the catalogue will immediately be made available at the Post Office or your campsite lock box. You can buy way more than you can carry and simply resupply your character from that pool of ammunition at those locations. That way you don't need to go to a gunsmith.

Treasure Maps - Locating the 'Natural' Way

That's the beauty of R* games and why I like them. .....the details. Hell, I'm still discovering little things even after a year. ....I try to avoid all walkthroughs, guides, etc. tit Too many devs dumb down this aspect of their games IMO. -
I was referring to the way the purchased stacks work and the quote I added from R*: Purchased Gold Bars not arriving in Red Dead Online Created December 14, 2018Updated May 23, 2019 FollowPrint Question: I bought Gold Bars in Red Dead Online, but they haven't all arrived in-game. When will I receive them? Answer: Delivery of Gold Bars in-game is limited to a total of 500 purchased Gold Bars at a time. Purchased Gold Bars are delivered as full stacks based on the amount purchased. Any amount of purchased Gold Bars over 500 will be held in reserve until there is sufficient space for all of the next stack of purchased Gold Bars to be deposited. Example: If you purchase two stacks of 350 Gold Bars at the same time, only the first stack of 350 Gold Bars will be deposited to your account, until you spend enough Gold Bars so that there is room for the next complete stack of 350 purchased Gold Bars to be deposited.

That "fake" gold is also at the heart of RDO's MTX system so yeah, there's that. As for short cuts, it depends what those are. Using hacks and/or some types of exploits in online play can easily cross the line. Again, those "members" should know that they are bound by the EULA for the game and their gaming system. A "glitch" in the game can be a bit of a different story and can depend on how some people are taking advantage of it, it's accessibility, how often they used it (i.e. exploited it), etc. This isn't necessarily black and white. Hacks / exploits / cheating can also affect other players when they are used to gain an advantage in online play. It can also affect the overall health of the player population because people aren't going to want to play in an environment where cheating is ignored. .....and it will appear R* condones the act or simply doesn't care. There are still exploits that exists that never really get addressed. .....the MTU trick in GTAO for example. Folks use it all the time to force themselves into solo, public sessions. R* knows about it but does nothing to attempt to correct it from what I have seen. I use it too simply because I don't like to play with randoms in that game but still want to experience the businesses, etc. only available in public sessions. I think R* also also realizes this and may choose to ignore it so that folks like me still have that option. ......again, not necessarily a black and white matter.
-
The limit is intentional as that quote is from R*. Now, whether that's the way it works in practice or not, I have no personal experience. ....or if it has changed over the last year, no idea. As for why the limit exists (or existed) for purchased GBs, I also have no idea but they have their reasons.
-
.....it may very well work the way they say.
-
Good point and yes, thanks for recognizing that. .....so, I'd ask that we keep the side discussions to PMs or other thread. Thanks.
-
....still not sure if it works that way in practice though as I have never purchased GBs nor had more than 100 at a given moment.
-
My suggestion is to open a trouble ticket with R* in that case.
-
For purchased GBs, that is the way they say it is supposed to work.

12/3/19 MOONSHINERS: A New Frontier Pursuit Coming 12/13
Kean_1 replied to Kean_1's topic in Red Dead Online
Yeah, they take a lot of liberties with those kinds of aspects of the game including the reloading mechanics / speed, calibers / ammo, etc. Personally, I think they could have been more realistic in that regard while still finding a balance between weapons fiddling with stats, pros / cons, etc. -
They are in your account but won't show up in-game until there is enough room for the stack you bought to fit within the 500 GB limit.

He purchased them in the store. @The_Liquor is correct. They should show up in your inventory of gold if you bring that up on the display. However, only 500 GBS will appear in your inventory at one time and if you purchased more than that, they will be held in reserve. I'm assuming you completely quit the game and logged back in to see if they appeared? ....and as mentioned, purchased GBs are for RDO (online) only.
