  3. No worries. There's nothing there in your post really that is a big spoiler. I'm just letting folks know about the other little details regarding missions and the new role that you think some folks might consider a spoiler. For instance, I'd rather play a mission myself and figure it out than have someone make a post detailing how to shortcut it.
  4. Just a reminder...... Please use the "spoiler" tag when revealing things about this new role, the new missions, surprises, etc. that you think some others would rather discover for themselves. I appreciate. I know some folks are going to plow right through this new role but there are many others of us who like to take their time and would rather experience some of those things without spoilers.
  5. ....doubt that. I never doubted that they did and that is evident in many of the updates they have made since the beta. Obviously, there will still be some that will never see the features they would like in the game or be satisfied with some / most / all of what they add or change, but that doesn't mean they are not listening. I'll wager some features are simply more requested than others or are a focus for other reasons due to popularity, design, balance, vision / goals, etc.
  6. Sorry, yes.
  7. This was in the new update today: In addition, we’ve added the ability to spawn directly at your Camp and made improvements to help mitigate the issue players have been experiencing with setting up their camps – and we will continue to work on ways to address these problems. As always, your direct feedback on Red Dead Online is integral to our ongoing work to make it all that it can be – please visit our feedback page to let us know your thoughts.
  8. I was thinking the same. I currently use dual Schoefields. 40 GB but you can make all that back just like the last one.
  9. Yeah.... Saw that thanks. I already updated the original post.
  10. 7.730 GB on PS4
  11. RED DEAD ONLINE: MOONSHINERS NOW AVAILABLE Peddle white lightning as a black-market bootlegger in Moonshiners, the latest Frontier Pursuit available now in Red Dead Online. Team up with an infamous distiller to start your own Moonshining business and run it out of the new Shack property. Moonshining takes your Trader skills to the next level and gives you your first business established outside of camp. Not only will you need to source ingredients and produce the goods, savvy Moonshiners will learn the demands of the market and time their shipments to align with the tastes of buyers. With that in mind, Moonshining requires you to have cut your teeth as a Trader, having attained either at least Rank 5 or completed one Trader Sell Mission. Once that’s been achieved, Cripps will get you connected with Maggie Fike at Emerald Ranch, an old hand in the bootlegging business that will help you get your fledging operation rolling. To run a proper shine trade – not some backwoods Lemoyne Raiders operation – you’ll need a property. Throw in with Maggie to purchase one of five Moonshining Shacks from which you’ll conduct your business. Once you’ve sourced your cook and equipment, Maggie will maintain the homestead’s front upstairs while the art of distillation takes place downstairs. The basement has room for optional expansions including a Bar, space for a band and a dancefloor, with additional upgrades for your moonshining equipment. Your mercantile journey will also offer a new series of Story Missions to take on solo or with your Posse, as Maggie Fike helps you build your business and gets a little revenge of her own along the way. Each mission earns you benefits to propel your business forward, as you eliminate rivals, learn new recipes and establish a steady clientele. Expand your burgeoning enterprise by developing different blends and distributing across the five states. You can also serve patrons directly while entertaining friends by expanding with your very own bar. Like all Specialist Roles, the Moonshiner features its own unique progression path that unlocks bespoke apparel and accessories, equipment upgrades to improve the business, new weapons like the Flammable Moonshine Jug, and a unique ornamental design for the Sawed-Off Shotgun, new Horse Breeds and more. The Outlaw Pass returns with an expanded 100 ranks of fresh rewards featuring all-new clothing and accessories, Role XP boosts during the Club Membership period and Gold gifts up to 40 Gold Bars. You’ll also receive a variety of Offers and Rewards, a new feature in Red Dead Online detailed further below. In addition, the free Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Club Membership entitles you to select perks as you accumulate XP up until March 10th, 2020. All Red Dead Online players are automatically enrolled in the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Club just by playing. For more details on The Outlaw Pass No. 2 and the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Club, visit the official site. Offers and Rewards is a new feature in Red Dead Online that can be found from the Benefits page in the Pause Menu. The Offers and Rewards page will display your collection of gifts, discounts, and promotions that can be applied to a range of goods. Rewards include gifts like Gold Bars, Refills on Trader and Moonshiner Business supplies, clothing items and accessories, and other complimentary gifts, while Offers include discounts on select items. Be sure to visit the Benefits page often to see the latest Offers, Rewards and ongoing promotions in Red Dead Online week to week. Today’s update to Red Dead Online also features new clothing including Bandoliers and Corsets (with more items due to arrive in the coming weeks), a powerful new sidearm in the Navy Revolver, and more in addition to gameplay improvements and enhancements as we continue to build on and refine the game world. Among many other improvement, today’s update adds: The ability to quick-swap weapons in the heat of battle – simply assign a “Quick Select” firearm within the Weapon Wheel, then tap L1/LB/Tab during gameplay to quickly switch between this and your currently-equipped weapon (you can still holster your weapon with a double tap of L1/LB/Tab or by selecting Unarmed in the Weapon Wheel) Ability Card rebalancing on certain cards, and limits on Tonic use to ensure a level playing field for all players Accessibility improvements for fishing, allowing players to reel in a catch by holding a button rather than circling the analogue stick Increased stability for Horses, making your steed slightly less likely to fall down after a collision and quicker to get back up after a fall or revival In addition, we’ve added the ability to spawn directly at your Camp and made improvements to help mitigate the issue players have been experiencing with setting up their camps – and we will continue to work on ways to address these problems. As always, your direct feedback on Red Dead Online is integral to our ongoing work to make it all that it can be – please visit our feedback page to let us know your thoughts. And be sure to check out a range of discounts including 5 Gold Bars off the Butcher’s Table, Rewards like a free Mash Refill for Moonshiners and a free Resupply for Traders, and bonuses like RDO$200 for each Role you start. Visit the Social Club Events page for a full rundown of current bonuses and discounts. If you’re a Twitch Prime member who has already linked their Social Club account to Twitch Prime and claimed your benefits, you’ll get a free Polished Copper Still Upgrade for your Moonshine business, which will help you brew stronger batches and also help improve your Bar. You’ll also get the Collector’s Bag for free, if you have yet to pursue the path of a Collector – finding and trading valuable treasure to Madam Nazar. Red Dead Online players who become Twitch Prime subscribers on or after December 13th will be able to purchase both of these for free within 72 hours of becoming Twitch Prime subscribers. Moonshiners is available now in Red Dead Online for PS4, Xbox One and PC – and coming to Google Stadia later this month.
  12. I would like to remind you to keep the discussions in these forums civil and leave out the personal insults. All four posts so far since you joined have been geared this way. This thread has remained pretty light-hearted up to this point before this. Let's leave out the personal insults toward other members. "Off Topic" doesn't mean we throw all the rules out the window, etc.
  13. I deleted your first two posts on these forums because you necro bumped two old threads from the dead only to write inflammatory responses meant to provoke arguments. I saw nothing constructive in those or really necessary. Those two threads died 6-9 months ago and I really didn't see the need in having them resurrected just to sling more insults. Since you're new here and seem to be a little confused as to what this site is about..... At heart, this is an RDR2 fan forum meant to bring folks together to discuss the game, share feedback, ideas, help fellow members with questions / issues about the game, etc. How about we focus on that, yeah? Next time I would suggest PMing one of us vs. trying to make a public argument out of a decision we have made. I personally have no issue explaining to you why I make any of the decisions I do or helping you understand anything else about the forums. .......but these types of posts need to stop. I'm closing this thread. If you have any questions about it, please PM me. Making insulting threads like this questioning or decisions is not the way to do it. ....nor will it be tolerated. If this is why you joined here, you may want to rethink that.
  14. You asked "glitch or not a glitch", etc. and people answered. My suggestion would be to contact R* Support directly if something in the game is not working for you and you want them to know about it / fix it.
  15. Please don't double post threads. You've already got one on the same topic in the other Q&A section.
  16. I meant that you could ask R* Support to see if it's even possible. I don't think they would provide that option but you never know. At least if you ask R*, you can get an answer.
  17. Yep. You can see that it doesn't necessarily take a ton of force either. You can imagine a hand on the range being in several situations throughout their day where this might be a risk as they work. Just want to clarify something though..... He makes a point to show the firing pin on the hammer as a reason to leave a chamber empty which needs more explanation IMO. Their are modern day revolvers with firing pins like this but also have a firing pin block, rebound slide and/or other features that keep the pin from contacting the cartridge so you can safely load and carry the firearm with 6 in the cylinder. My S&W is like that. .....my single action Ruger Blackhawk on the other hand has a transfer bar (no pin on the hammer as it is in the frame).
  18. I guess we'll find out more this Thursday or Friday it seems.

  20. Load one, skip one..... As @The_Liquor mentioned, this was to prevent an unintended discharge due to the firing pin striking the primer of the cartridge. Modern revolvers are typically designed with several safeties to help prevent this kind of thing from happening like a firing pin block, transfer bar, rebound slide, etc. ....and btw, guns don't just "go off". In this scenario, the reason one would discharge like that would be due to the hammer being struck while holstered, dropped, etc. Something has to initiate it. Not really sure but I have a feeling something is coming soon. There hasn't been any news re: bonuses, etc. that we usually get on Tuesdays today. I'm looking forward to it personally as I have with all the past content, tweaks and changes they have been providing with each update. EDIT: Spoke too soon:
  21. "Only a New Orleans pimp would carry a pearl-handled gun."
  22. I agree with @The_Liquor on the variations. Aside from possibly different choices of brand in a particular caliber, it's not likely you would find a variation of bullet types to choose from other than what he mentioned. .......and even so, it's doubtful those small shops in a lot of these towns would have a wide selection to choose from anyway. Just common calibers and likely one type / brand. Personally, I think we have too many types of ammo as it is in relation to Express, Explosive, Split Point, etc. I would rather they focused on creating different types of ammo based on the weapons and specific calibers rather than just generic pistol, rifle, repeating, etc. cartridges. While they were at it, get rid of the explosive ammo, increase the overall lethality and then tweak the balance of the weapons, tone down auto aim, make reloading more realistic / slower for each type of weapon, etc. I also think ammo is simply too abundant (once a player unlocks all types) and players shouldn't be able to carry all of their weapons on their horses. From the beginning I always thought players should have to go to there camp or some other location to swap out what weapons they carry on their horse. There should be a limit IMO. .....and to take it a bit farther, a stamina hit on their horse by carrying more. .....even further, a weight system where weapon weight factors into the equation. This could also be a variable in the balancing of guns in the game and add to the pros and cons of each. The one thing I never really liked in R* games was the gunplay and lethality (or lack thereof). The worlds are rich in detail and even realism in some respects but the gunplay is arcadey at best. .....which is why I don't mind the auto aim the way it is now and accept it for what it is. If the gunplay / weapons /ammo and lethality were changed, that would be a different story entirely. ......but yeah, I'd rather they work on those other aspects than add some new kind of bullet type that only breaks the immersion even further for me.
  23. I don't see glitches in any of these things. ......perhaps some misunderstanding in why or how some work, but not glitches.
  24. You can use external storage devices to store and/or transfer files I use an ext SSD to play games from). You can even download and install PS4 system updates this way. No need to burn a disk. ......but yeah, I don't think R* offers a way to update the game on console using this method. OP, you could always contact R* Support and ask them just to make sure.
  25. Fact is, parents need to be more responsible and involved in what their children watch especially in this day and age of the internet. It's a lot different than it was when I was a kid watching Saturday morning cartoons. .....no cable, no internet, etc. Children will never be completely safe but it's our responsibility as parents to prevent things like you describe from happening which to be quite honest is completely preventable on our end. The problem is, some parents simply aren't as involved as they should be in regard to what their children do on the internet, watch on YT, cable programming, social media, etc.
