Self made fun

Soooooo while we wait for new content, can we post ideas on how make fun for ourselves?  Here's some of my ideas:

Play pooh-sticks with hog-tied captives

See how many things you can run over in the train

Chariot (wagon) races

Try to kill predators with melee weapons

Canoe round the map

Bring the law to camp and let them shoot Cripps

Fist-fight your way through StDenis (no weapons allowed).  Bonus if totally drunk at the time.

Dynamite fishing

Any other ideas ...?

LOl, glad it's not just us doing stupid stuff to keep occupied:

here's a few of ours:

Piggy back races with a corpse on your back

Hide and seek in governors mansion in Saint Denis and on the grounds of Braithwaite manor

Take away - using a deer carcass on your horse

Lassoing wolves and cougars

Bungee jumping (well, sorta) using the lasso and a high bridge... This is kinda cool looking in 1st person.

Tag and release with the lasso.

Hogtie some griefers  together to make  a raft to float downstream.

If this were possible I would do nothing but this..lol...  You can hogtie people and throw them in the back of a stolen stage coach, then shoot the horse in the butt with the varmint...

You just need a few more whiskys in you MrCreed. :)  And I don't believe for a minute you don't find punching your way through a town, or dynamite fishing, a bit of fun ;)

Or maybe Fire arrowing as many NPCs as possible is more your style?

@Poggy .... I'm pretty sure what @BropolloCreed79 is suggesting wouldn't require any other players or NPCs... most likely just need to buy some socks from the tailor..lol

One of the most enjoyable experiences I've had in this game was when I decided to ride into the oil fields east of Valentine and go on an Archer-esque Rampage.

Climbed the ladder to the chimney on the roof of the factory, and murdered well in excess of 100 NPC's.  I'd shoot them one by one as they came up the ladder, or if more than five were congregated on the stairs below, I'd toss a firebomb on them.  Since the building is brick, only the bodies would burn.

Sometimes, at night, I can still hear their screams as I drift off to sleep.

Bountyhunters would come down the road to the north, looking to give me "The 'Ol Number Six", only to have their horses felled by flaming or poisoned arrows.

Eventually, there was a lull when I had to pour another drink for myself, and the Marshals gave up and left.

One of these days, I'll make a video of one of those Rampages and keep count of how many I take out, but for now, I content myself with similar sprees in different locales in single player (make sure you do a manual save first, boys and girls!) just to blow off some steam, and the benefits of such murder sprees go a long way to enhancing my enjoyment and appreciation for the rest of the game (except for Micah, who I hate more than Jar Jar Binks).

Haven't tried it yet, but a capture the flag game with a deer carcass could be fun. Place it in the middle of some area and first team to bring it over to a pre -designated scoring area wins. Would have to be done in free roam, so could be tough with griefers, unless you tie them into the game somehow. Like if they come around, treat them like the third party they are, just a neutral team trying to stop anyone from scoring. Maybe give a point for each griefer kill and have it a side game to get more kills than the other team before someone scores with the "flag".

I'm a simple sort, I start off most sessions by finding an NPC with the fancy hat I want for that session... melee, pick up hat, sorted. Sometimes I even get to take the hat into Series with me (though sometimes it doesn't come with me)...

It's the little things...

We didnt figure out any way of scoring, but my friend and I were sitting on a roof in Saint Denis, waiting for the cops to find their way up to us for execution kills, and got bored. He ate a can of something and dropped the can, and after a bit we started shooting the can around while waiting for the cops. Could be something interesting, Shoot the Can.  Get a point for every time you hit the can, first to 10 or most hits in a minute wins, or something like that.

Trolling a bear? See how long you can survive that horrifying chase. 😁

I watched my buddy do this last week and I was laughing. It was the funniest thing. I think he lasted 13 minutes. They should make some kind of mini game like this.

This has me picturing some of the old Crash Bandicoot levels, where the camera changes so you can watch the big boulder or whatever chasing you and you just have to outrun it. Definitely would be more tense when you're not watching behind you the whole time
