Rockstar server issue with no animals, birds, etc.

Yes, it's beta.  Yes, it is technically "free" unless you're one of the many of us that have already invested some money in gold bars.  My point isn't even so much that it's completely BROKEN atm, but that R* hasn't publicly addressed this fiasco.  Of all the big-name game companies, this is my worst experience with communication to the playersbase.  A simple post would at least give us some idea that they do actually care about us and are actively working to find a solution.

As it is now, I'm stuck logging in every few hours in hopes that the servers are fixed since I know R* won't bother to let us know when they are.  I want to believe they are better than this, but a quick Google search proves that I'm far from the only one losing faith around here.

yeah, i talked to a tech and they could not give me a time frame when they would have this issue fixed

Don't tell R* that, they told me it is a small percentage of the player population having issues like constant disconnects.

I put in nearly 8 game play hours the last 2 days, scattered through the days at different times. I haven’t had this problem happen to me even once. (Although, I have had it happen longer ago, several times). So... ?

i have been having this issue since sunday night. i went into a lobby last night, no wild life. i left, went into another lobby. could not get my horse!! so li went thru several lobbies with the same issue. quit the game, went back in, no issue with the horse, saw wild life, AWESOME! started hunting. That lasted about 5 minutes, it disappeared. Simply disappeared like RS was watching and they said "watch this..." poof, they were gone. 

 

Seriously beginning to wondering if it is worth the time. yes i have reported it, even talked to a tech. of course got the run around they are working hard to solve the issue.

but i never had this issue last this long. the missions get old, the same thing, thats why i do the hunting to break it up.

this was the chat i had with the R* tech, maybe this may help any of you. 

• i have been throw many servers, since late night, 2.17.19 to today 2.18.19, 4pm est. rebooting the game.several times. i am not seeing animals, birds, people in towns, or fish surfacing in water. i have even rebooted my xbox and modem and router. every time i go thru servers i dont even see animal trails. why am seeing issue?? xbox one. i have had this issue before, but it never lasted this long.

I've reported several issues and responses I have received were always open about known or common problems.  Of course, the answer is always going to be the same though (that they are working on it).

Just for fun, try and go into story mode, directly from Online.

You litteraly get animals thrown at you.. they are everywhere... 

So they definatly know the problem, so maybe they are adjusting, and maybe preparing some cool stuff for the update coming next week. Seems like they want to include crafting from animals in the near future, so my guess is, that they know, and working on it

Just a little note, R* do listen when reporting things as missing animals, and stranger missions, that fail. ! ..

the last response i got from R* was to reset the modem, etc. did all that of course from the beginning. not my first rodeo. but im sure they have to cover all bases. so im waiting another reply to that. will keep.posted. 

 

last night i was on for a few mins, got my horse, saw a few animals for a.few mins, then again, they were gone. anyone having this phenomenon???

I've been having this problem for the last few days..  Same with a few of my friends.

R*s been telling people to reset their modem since GTA O.  Its clearly a problem on their end, since many people are getting this problem.

Missions work fine.. But free roam is broken.

On top of the wildlife issue and no npcs, my game has been crashing every few minutes since this morning. I have to jump to a mission real fast in order to stay on. Freeroam is seriously broken.

still in conversation with R* They are asking deep detail, pretty sure they have no clue. 4 days now. and they have 5 days till they release their upgrade??? someone screwed something up somewhere.

They obviously are interested in trying to rectify the situation.  Not all issues can be easily replicated and require as much detail as they can get their hands on which is why the Support reps are asking so they can pass it along.

Fyi....

I talked to a rep today from R* Support and he said they have been rolling back patches the last week or more so that is resulting in issue with the gameplay.

I mentioned it before but I received a confirmation that this is indeed due to preparation for the upcoming update next Tuesday.  Hopefully the recent and many of the long standing issues get resolved with that.

Had this a few days ago on PS4. Had just replayed a mission & went off hunting...... 

No animals/birds anywhere. Went into town... No NPCs either. Only the traders in the stores. 

Haven't played since though, so I'm hoping the update will sort it.

Now i haven't gotten any word from R* that it is. can not guarantee it is for everyone. this is just my observation this morning.

I have noticed they been sneaking in some stuff. Yesterday we did a couple free roam missions we've never done, and believe me we are constantly doing missions and have seen every variant. Then there were missions that would just suddenly end on us.

Meanwhile, I've been taking advantage of the bounty of wildlife in my sessions.  I never shot so many birds in this game before.  There is literally double the amount there normally is for me in some cases.  ......really odd.  Gang hideouts and ambushes also seem to be more frequent.

I made a post about this at least a month ago, where I was getting no NPC's at all (except merchants) in any towns. So it's been happening for awhile.
