NewsBot Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Being one of the most anticipated games since its announcement back in 2016, Red Dead Redemption 2 is setting out to be a smashing success. Sales data for the United States and various European countries has yet to be revealed, but it seems like the game developed by Rockstar Games is off to a really strong start. Earlier today, UK sales charts firm GfK released the latest sales figures, as reported by Games Industry, which confirm that Red Dead Redemption 2 sold incredibly well in the United Kingdom in just a few days of availability, earning the top spot of the weekly sales charts for all video games formats, beating strong competitors like Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and FIFA 19. Exact numbers haven't been revealed so far, but it's been confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 launch sales are over double those of the original Red Dead Redemption, released back in 2010 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Despite doubling sales over its predecessor, the game failed to be the biggest launch in the United Kingdom of 2019, as FIFA 19 managed to outsell the Rockstar Games developed game in its launch window. Comparing the numbers, Red Dead Redemption 2 managed to sell around 600K retail copies. The total number of sold copies is surely higher, as GfK doesn't keep track of digital copies. Red Dead Redemption 2 is also the third fastest-selling game released during the current console generation, behind Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Call of Duty: WWII. It may not be smashing success that was Grand Theft Auto V, which sold over two million copies in the UK at launch, but it still managed to achieve an impressive result, considering that Grand Theft Auto is a more established series. The Red Dead series is still at its third entry, but we can be sure that Red Dead Redemption 2 will make its popularity soar higher than ever before. Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available worldwide on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Don't let rumors of the possible PC version stop you from getting the game right now, as it's an amazing experience that can be enjoyed to the fullest on consoles. YodaMan 3D Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Not big on squashing dreams, but instead of begging for help from strangers. I would suggest going back and talking to your parents and discuss how doing something like this could help make you a better person by showing initiative. I would also set down and think about all of the reasons you feel this is a good idea. Go in with a plan not an argument. 1 1

19Eric95 Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 (edited) Hello there, am I the only one who find's that the performance on Xbox one X isnt ok? I mean every site tells there are mostly rocksolid 30fps. either my eyes are spoiled from 60 fps gaming at pc or somethings wrong. The camera Rotation feels unfluid. Maybe its normal maybe its the tv i dont know hope the improve the performance. Love the game but this kills the immersion. Edited October 30, 2018 by 19Eric95

Benjo Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Really looking forward to the first major patch since release. Hopefully they will develop some of the gameplay as well as bug fixing moving forward too — despite their failing this is something that was done with Battlefield constantly. They review aspects of the game and update them accordingly — hopefully R$ will do things like sort out the lawmen etc rather than just concentrating on online adversary modes. 1
NewsBot Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Control schemes can make or break a game. Your main way of interacting with the virtual world, the middleman between your intentions and their manifestation in-game, comfortable controls are key for an enjoyable gaming experience. Red Dead Redemption 2 has several control presets allowing you some measure of customization. This guide will help you with the most common control scheme related problems. One of the most common control gripes with Red Dead Redemption 2 is sprinting. Many, many games have managed to put together comfortable control schemes, making Rockstar being bogged down in this a bit of a headscratcher. To sprint, you need to tap either X or A, depending on system. This won't do. In the controls settings, you have several control preset options to choose from. These have been named after what they're most suited for, however you should disregard that. Switch over to the "Standard FPS" option. You don't need to switch your camera perspective, as this preset is better in third-person view as well. This control scheme swaps the sprint and crouch inputs, making the left analog stick responsible for sprinting. Now navigate to Accessibility Options in the menu, and select Running Mode. You should set this to Toggle to Run. This way you get the sprinting controls common in most games these days - press the analog stick to maintain sprinting. Pressing it again will return you to jogging and easing off the stick will return you to walking. Depending on your preferences, there are a number of other control tweaks that can improve your experience. We recommend turning Aim/Look Dead Zone to the minimum setting for more responsive controls. When it comes to Aim/Look Acceleration, pushing the setting to the maximum turns it off for some reason, but this results in much smoother camera control. Every player should tailor Aim Assist and axis sensitivity to their own liking, but you shouldn't just leave it at default. You might not even know you need to adjust these settings, but once you've played around with them you'll almost definitely find a setting better suited to your playstyle. Something that should be standard practice by now since companies refuse to set default FOV to max is turning FOV to max. This is easy to forget, but your Red Dead Redemption 2 experience will be greatly improved by it. Another smaller tweak we suggest is disabling auto-center. This rubberbands the camera to refocus on the default state, which can be annoying when you want to take in the sights. If you're running low on cash, check out our money making guide as well as our gold bar guide. NoleyMoley Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 There seems to be no way to feed your horse any of the elixirs you carry in your satchel at any given time. For example... let's say you're riding from Valentine to Rhodes (one of the challenges in the game) and your horse starts to tire as his stamina is critically low. In my satchel I have a number of elixirs and food items that would help the horse recover more quickly (as this is what works for Arthur Morgan when he's low). For some reason you cannot feed the horse these elixirs either from the saddle or when standing next to it. Consequently they are totally pointless items and just take up valuable rom in your inventory. Can anyone explain why this is and if there is some way of using them?

Any help with the issue would be great though!!

Poggy Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 I might have to try an experiment, but I seem to be able to feed my horse elixirs ... You just can't do it while galloping, only gently trotting.

I've tried everything Poggy... walking, trotting, standing still, even off the horse etc. Nothing I do gives me the option to feed the horse and elixir. The horse elixirs are greyed out. When the horse's stamina is low due to long range galloping the need to feed it with a horse elixir is essential in order to replenish the stamina bar and fortify the horses vitals. It's not possible which must be an oversight or game glitch as they are clearly meant for this purpose. If anyone can find out how this is done we'd all be very grateful !! Rockstar... have you forgotten this feature in the game menu?
sLLiMM Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 So I don't have internet for my Xbox, should i even bother trying to install the game?
Poggy Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 I suggest starting a new topic thread on this to see if anyone else has encountered this and hit upon a solution. Good luck! I'll get back to you if I figure it out.

puxxled Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 Gonna sound like a idiot here but I can’t figure this out, I’ll keep it short, went hunting got four deer pelts stowed them on the horse, hitched up @ camp and I can’t get them off my f**kin horse to upgrade satchels etc, it gives me The option to discard and that’s it how do I give them to the butcher.

You can't remove them in the camp, but you can have the horse near the camp, and go to the butcher to donate. 1
redscrew Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 I have a bit of an odd question... My male horse seems to sometimes lose his "members"... Like I don't know if it is glitch or not but I have both genders and the female horse isn't growing any so I am a bit confused. It doesn't happen all the time, it was just something I noticed since my female looks a lot like my male and I thought I had the wrong horse. And if you were wondering... Yes, I was thoroughly inspecting my horse's dingleberries. 2
puxxled Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 Yeah hitched up at the posts, couldn’t take the pelts off so I walked over anyway to chat and it didn’t show the pelts in my inventory. I tried a different way and it’s worked, instead of skinning the deer I just brought the whole thing to him and for some reason all the pelts I’d accumulated suddenly appeared along with the deer. Idk why i couldn’t just go over my pelts. Sorted now anyway cheers.
