Starting off solo?

I remember when GTA V Online first started, most people seemed to just jump on any time and no one really had any gangs formed right then and there. Since this game is a bit different and more gang oriented than GTA V was, I am wondering who here plans on going at it solo in the beginning. Will you just hop and explore everything and mess around or will you have it planned out to go online as a gang with your friends beforehand?

Really depends on how the online mode is designed.  I would want to go it alone in GTAV but in RDR2, who knows.

I also have a couple good PSN friends that I know will play online consistently with me so I don't think it will be a problem for me either way.  I've also met some nice folks from here that may want to team up as well.

I will be online, if I see friends on and playing or they see me.  Then we can group up, if either of us are just doing the solo thing.  Then solo it is.  Not picky.  I do know one friend who has stated he is getting it, but he also works weird hours and sometimes he is difficult to set up a schedule with.

I really don't know. It depends on who is playing that I know and when they decide to play online. I am more focused on the story. The online end of the game is just the icing on the cake and I can wait to play it. I know a few of my friends won't be waiting.

I'll hop on when I finish the story like most other people here seem to have said. I don't know if I will go on by myself or not. It is likely because I stay up way later than my friends do. Some are in college and some work morning shifts. My work schedule allows me to stay up till like 4 or 5AM with no issue.

There something pire about the single player experience that has been list from gaming.  The principal reason I have been looking forward to this has been for the single player experience.  Multiplayer will always be there for me, like beer , friends, or a warm blanket, but for me, the RDR experience deserves the respect of my undivided attention.  I shall bask in it splenor and majesty before devilci g into the ceaspit of filth that is online gaming.

I will be 100% Han on this one.

As for the OP... I don't know. I feel like I would be better off going online with at least one friend just because of trolls and what not.

Isn't it a shame that you have to consider players just fkn with you online so much so that you make sure you have someone on your side just in case? It is like high school all over again. You don't want to go solo in the locker rooms before or after physed lol

I just hope it is like a Fallout 76 experience, without the fallout 76 (bitterness intended). I want to be able to venture out into the unforgiving wilderness at my own discretion and get lost for a couple of in-game days. all the while knowing that there are others just like me doing the same, what life was likely like then. If I want though, I can work my way back into a local town to sell the fruits of my labor. Basically, I don’t want to be hunted down and killed by some jerk who takes pleasure in ruining others experiences. I also do appreciate the social aspects of online, I just don’t want that to be everything you can do. I am hoping for some sort of way to go dark on the mini map, which would make encounters with other players feel memorable and organic.
