All underlined prices have been verified by me. I just hope it makes sense to everyone, I've added an asterisk next to animal size if it can be drug with the lasso. Any other Hunters, Huntresses or Anglers want to "ADD" me you are welcome to. I'm on PS4 same name. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/183ZjUE6ipmNJ3ThCorpE5NNynsnZL4Enp_ksAbJaPUw/edit?usp=sharing2 points

I think first person controls and views was an afterthought and not really designed properly for the game. I play it in third person and I do believe that is how it is intended. But I do feel that they should not have allowed us to play with first person controls if they cannot even line up a gun sight properly. Sorry for my English, I know my grammar is lacking.2 points

Please forgive an old guy (69) for doing what old guys are known for....ranting nonsense. I played RDR1 on day one, and enjoyed every minute of it. I waited years to see a RDR2 release. I havent been disappointed with it. Although I am far from considering myself a hardcore gamer, I am a person that has been known to pay 200 bucks for a new video card and memory upgrades for any game that caught my fancy. I also thought that Doom was a technical marvel that would never be surpassed. Overclocking and water coolers. Tetris will never die! I have always looked at video games as being movies that we get to play the lead character. Those are the type of games that I have enjoyed the most. Shooting monsters or robots in outer space just never got the bone stiff. And like movies, everyone has their likes and dislikes. There is no accounting for taste. If anybody wants to debate whether Rio Bravo is a better western than Shane, go for it. The Wild Bunch was my favorite. I consider this a western themed video game. A genre all to itself. Rockstar put a lot of effort into this game and I think it shows. The crunch time stuff and all of the problems in production paid off in the finished product. The devils in the details are amazing. They took RDR1 and polished the sh!t out of it. They took the newer tech and made it work. To me, they wrote a compelling story. When Travis shot old yeller, it kicked me in the nuts. When .............................I got the same feeling. There are times in this game where I wished they would just get to the friggin conclusion and end it. I consider that my own impatience and not a fault of the game. At my age, slow pace isnt considered a problem....its a way of life.2 points

More pig stories... As I was killing three pigs, a shirtless character named An_HonestMan or something like that showed up. I continue working but prepare myself to be shot in the head by this half naked player. I finish up and had to leave one of the carcasses, of course. Still no headshot. My horse and I run back to town straight to the butcher. I go into the sale graphic. When I come out, there he is, waving at me and the carcass was at my feet. Then he just walked away.2 points

The best guns? I have finished the story twice and I am around 98% done with the game in total. I have played for way too many hours as I enjoy the hell out of this game just hunting and being an outlaw/friendly Cowboy. I love each and every aspect of this game and it is now my go to game for relaxing and just having fun and I am just playing the story mode as I hate online. Despite all this and the fact that my main save is way beyond the ending of epilogue 2 and that I have every talisman and such, my favorite weapon is still my two pimped cattleman revolvers! I am a sucker for the Colt SAA models and the cattleman with long barrel makes it the equivalent of Colt SAA Cavalry, and it is sexy as hell! I am a little strange that way I guess as I only use revolvers when it comes to handguns, the volcanic is ok because it still has the old west aesthetics and flavor but the more modern handguns is a big no no for me. I do use all the rifles and repeaters since they are good for hunting but my favourite among them are the Lancaster aka Winchester yellow boy repeater and the Springfield trapdoor rifle.2 points

Please feel free to join the PSN Community "Red Dead Redemption 2 - TeamUp" to help make it easier for all of us to invite players to a session, make new friends, ask questions of one another, etc. This isn't a clan with ranks, structure or anything like that. This group is intended simply as a resource for all of us to use to TeamUp with like-minded folks when RDR2 finally arrives. ...enjoy.1 point

Anybody want to take over a solo free roam session xbox? 4 hours in 🙂😁1 point
-
When you create a posse in game, you can send invites to anyone you wish that is in your session. You can make the posse private (invite only) or public where anyone in the session who wants to can join in. With friends, they will need to either join your session or you can invite them. You then would need to send an invite to join your posse. You can name your own posse anything you want and change it whenever you wish. Temporary posses will go away when the session ends and/or is disbanded. Persistent posses cost $200 IIRC, can contain up to 7 players (vs. 4) and will remain available to use.1 point

Totally agree. I get bored just hunting or fishing or doing anything else for more than bout half an hour. I keep changing what I'm doing about every 20-40 minutes. Fishing, hunting, looting, herb collecting, shopping, stranger missions, exploring, death matches, beating up random NPCs, riding the train, stealing a canoe, whatever I can find to do. But I'm running out ... They need new stuff ...1 point

Past 100 there's no unlocks. Yet. Ive sunk a lot of hours into RDO, only Lvl 36.1 point

It's probably about bragging rights between friends. I'm just happily plodding along, and have managed to get to level 52 rather easily. Oh, and by the way, the game doesn't end when you reach 100, it just means you need to make shitloads of money in order to buy all the stuff you unlocked.1 point

Nooooo... LOL, you can't do that!!! I'm a bad boy and got told off for that.... Apparently one mustn't name the pond life on here. Nawty (sic) bad man that I am, apparently. Firstly my apologies if people find this all a bit wordy.... However requiring immediate gratification is the sign of someone being one of life's losers.... So maybe read things and think instead.... Like books and stuff Here's what I do not understand about this whole RDR2 On-line PvP and the Free Roam killa (sic) fools and all the rest. There is a rally driving game that is truly garbage.... It possesses good graphics, good representation of cars, good audio, good physics and indeed it should be really quite brilliant... But it is not, it is totally flawed because; A) It is all way too difficult... So only a few people who spend their lives on these rally games can get anywhere B) No rewind ......... Personally after a 10+ minute stage if I fall off the track 100 yards from the end... I cannot be bothered to start all that again C) My game driving is good enough, I'm not a minor deity but I am in the top 1% on many tracks ... Yet in one section of this game, I cannot win against Ai... indeed I come 4th out of 4 all the time at the lowest entry point. After just a few months this €50 game was remaindered for €15 ... I soon saw why...... If one checked around you could find that world wide literally there were just a few hundred players left on the online tests. Less than a year after release. Why? Because you could not play the damned GAME as you wanted to...... Complaints to the company were met with ".....the integrity of the game" LOL.... Idiotic little jerks NEXT... Then take the 2 major XBone driving games ... Millions sold, millions continue to play them until essentially the new games arrives, including buying DLC ... Yes I play them and have spent many €100's on them over the past decade ..... Why? Because they are games which not only do fantastic graphics, physics and everything else .... But I can choose every parameter. On-line? Not interested myself but I can enter Ghosting lobbies if i wished where there is no PvP contact allowed... You can play combative PvP if you wish but then guess what, it is those combative lobbies which are always basically empty .... But I can play the same game solo, I can choose any one of my 700+ cars, I can choose my driving style be it auto, manual, manual with clutch... ABS on and off or super easy... type of tyres, engine and on and on ... plus colours and graphics..... Then I can set the track action... Aggressive or non aggressive Ai drivers and their ability level from Unbeatable all the way down to New Racer ... Then I can choose day, night, dry and maybe 50 different ways to make it rain.... The game can be set from no driving help to full help where a 3 year old can just push the go switch. Personally I have thousands and thousands of hours on these driving games and still play them every day. Far, far more than RDR2 On-Line NOW with that all said ....... Here is what I simply do not understand with RDR2 On-Line ... What does it matter to gamer tag 'Bread_Filla', (Note... this might or might not rhyme perfectly with the name of a pathetic little canker... BTW canker is a word.... it is not missing a W...)........ how I play? If these heroes (sic) wish to act like that and kill every thing that walks, slithers, flies or rides a horse..... Then please go play with other people who act like that... Because I do not act like that nor have I any wish to share a map with anyone who does. Myself I am presently just below level 15 on-line, because I cannot be bothered to watch the map with one eye all the time to see when the next inbred gaming tool will arrive. But what I REALLY do not understand is why R* etc, wish to lose all that money which I will not spend on their micro-transactions... Because I will NOT be a split second entertainment for some brainless little social misfit, who has got way too sore down below to watch any more XHamster for the next 30 minutes. Whilst I require zero back up from anyone on here or in life... I am certainly not alone in being fed up with this situation, quite obviously. Today I tried RDR2 on-line for about 30 minutes... Did I die? No. Did I have any fun?..... No. Did I get shot at for NO REASON AT ALL? Yes, three times..... 3 TIMES! Indeed I spent 30 minutes watching the flaming map for those little pink idiots. If R* or whomever, change the game so it has a mode which allows one to NOT interact in free roam plus enables people to complete on line challenges, tasks etc etc etc solo ....then it might do OK. But if it doesn't get changed very soon indeed ...... Then one has to suspect that after not too long, like a certain rally game... it'll die just as it deserves to.1 point

roughly translated, some players dont stop to smell the roses. But i can tell you only 0,55 procent of players have reached above lvl 50, atleast on xbox.1 point

Going to have to disagree with you on that one. Online services are subject to Terms of Service. Gaming companies and developers employ armies of attorneys, both in-house and outside counsel to protect the company from risk exposure and lawsuits. A common form of protection has been a trend away from calling an online experience a "game" and defining it as a "service". When you read the terms and conditions that usually get glossed over, part of the ToS is that you don't actually own the game, you're paying an access fee, or license, to use the content/service. There are arbitration clauses embedded into most of these agreements that people agree to when they select "I agree" prior to playing. Guess who gets to pick the arbitrator? (hint: it's not the customer). Even if a claim against a company has merit (although when it comes to these things, 99% of claims do not), you're still looking at an arbitration process that will result in finding of no fault against the company and a paltry reward (if any). Now, you're saddled with extensive legal fees, which you won't be able to repay, since the arbitration clause probably prohibits the recovery of attorney's fees (meanwhile, in-house counsel or outside counsel on retainer speaks on behalf of the gaming company, costing them almost nothing by compairson). And even if somehow, by some MIRACLE you are able to get a gaming company into court, they will throw MILLIONS of dollars into the case to win. Why? Because it sets precedent. If one claimant prevails, it opens the floodgates for similar claims. Hell, a smart attorney acting on behalf of the claimant would probably seek class status at the onset on behalf of all players similarly situated (it may or may not help the client, but it WILL significantly increase the firm's payout), and at that point you're looking at at least five to ten years of litigation, appeals, attorney's fees, subpoenas, discovery, motions.... At worst, the company may run afoul of some sort of regulatory body possibly paying a fine, but in terms of legal ramifications for not banning players? I have a better shot of beating LeBron James in a game of one-on-one.1 point

I tried fishing near a legendary spawn with a like last night for almost an hour. It's terrible. If I wanted to play a fishing simulator, I'd play a fishing simulator. They make it unintuitively difficult and the tooltips are worthless.1 point

You can see the trail behind me in the second picture I posted. It's faint, but it's there. I wish I could post a video. It was very obvious while I was riding, but as soon as I went to take a screenshot it was more difficult to see. I tried to point it out: Like I said, it's faint here, but was very obvious while playing (at certain moments/angles). These lines are the outline of my horse's ass/ the pelt, but I was seeing the entire outline.1 point

Not only the process but also the fact that people are playing the game as designed (like you mentioned before). We can all agree many of these actions are griefing / trolling, but the game is made to allow and even encourage this style of play. There are no rules preventing playes in RDO from killing other players on a whim. There are no rules saying they can't lasso us, hogtie us, stalk us, ambush us, etc. It's all part of the gameplay R* allows in Free Roam. I just can't believe that someone can be or would be banned for simply playing the game as designed (essentially a griefers paradise at the moment). In all honesty, I don't blame the trolls as much as I do R* for the frustration many are experiencing with these types of folks. Now if trolls are using exploits or hacks to accomplish their deeds, that's a whole different story. That's a bannable offense but even then (as you pointed out) it doesn't usually mean they will be banned on the spot or even at all.1 point

Most of us are here, you'll fit in just fine! Sounds like your only option is contacting R* support (lol)1 point

From the xbox one x (no spoilers, just using the tool): I was riding full speed and noticed a trail behind me (mentioned before). You can kind of see it in the second picture, but it was WAY worse than it appears. I could literally see 3-4 copies of me in the trail. Regardless of that, the amount of blur in these screenshots is ridiculous. I guess that's to make it run more smoothly? Edit: I guess I never really noticed it because I didn't use cinematic mode too often. When I did, I wasn't paying attention to the tv.1 point

On this screenshot from youtube video comparing graphics on all consoles played on FHD display we can see that problem is probably not a checkerboard rendering technique implementation, but some kind of AA similar to FXAA which gives blur effect and is used on all consoles except XB1X, where they probably realised it is not needed because of its native 4k resolution.1 point

Here's what I do when playing solo.... Since you don't know where players are beforehand, I usually choose to spawn into the Ambarino region which is typically vacant IME. Immediately, I will crouch which keeps you from being detected. I pull out my weapon, check the minimap and then the big map if everything is clear. I will take a little time looking at the players on the map taking note of where they are and then I plan my destination, hunting area, etc. SOmetimes I will even take a minute to see who might be the obvious trolls killing others players, etc. and then block them as an extra measure for future sessions. ......I will also take note of where they are and make especially sure I avoid contact. I constantly check my minimap for blips but I rarely put myself in a place where players show up on it. If they do, I reassess my situation on the big map, observe and make a decision on where to go from there.1 point

I read the rules each time and for your info in future debates. Microsoft doesn't always enforce their rules, especially if they can pass the buck to someone else. Yes Sony is the same way. It is also known fact that in the gaming industry no one wants to be the bad guy and be the one that cost the companies customers, even if they are detrimental to their business. They would rather set back and let things blow over. I experiences with these things have proven this to me time and time again.1 point

You bring up a sore subject, Bro. I heart dynamite. But it really chaps my hide that I bought ALL the ammunition upgrades for my camp and STILL can't get dynamite there! You have to go to a stupid FENCE for the stuff! That being said, I can't tell you how many O'Driscoll and Lemoyne Raider camps I've snuck up upon with a well-placed sizzling stick. BOOM! - gone.1 point

I saved a griefers horse last night...lol After he blasted a friend of mine in the back of the head. We then killed him about 5 times in a row. I mistakenly sniped his horse while he tried to get away. Ran over there and saved his horse. He stopped shooting at us and started doing waving emotes. We then all went over to the Tumble Weed Bar.. drank and had bar brawls...lol1 point
