If it wasn't for the good crew I'm playing Buckie I would have moved on, we just have to hang in there Bro & hope things get better, it will I'm sure.2 points

You know, it's funny. Since the blip color change, I've been killed by more blue dots than red ones. Not that big of a deal since I just kill them right back and move on, but it's still annoying as hell! I can't wait till the implement the offensive and defensive flags. Of course griefers are always going to find new ways to grief, but at least R* is trying.2 points

Yea bud I am truly in awww of rdr2I and can only keep hope alive that the big update is close. Such a beautiful game and honestly think it will have a long life ! The short lived part was aimed at my high hopes. I'm down to medium hopes now. Lol still playing it though bud.2 points

dogs have only one flaw for me, they live too little. I have had so many in my life. I always say "stop! This was the last" and then I take another one. I love dogs ! ā¤ļø2 points

100% bro ! It's dam sad the way Robstar is leaving us hanging ! Had really high hopes for rdr2 o. But like most things in life it'll be short lived. Can't express my dissapointment enough. So sad really.2 points

It takes a few days, yeah. I remember by the third day I was out of the overweight status and just average. Takes about a week to be completely max underweight. Once there you can easily maintain staying within 3-7.5% underweight. Trying to have perfect weight is hard to do as the window for it is pretty small. But yeah just keep your health core red, don't eat anything. And you'll go down. Worked for me and I haven't gone over 5% underweight since.2 points

Why is it so hard to imagine that people wouldn't cheat to get where they are in the game? I've heard about a lot of these glitches and exploits but I never used any of them. Why you ask? 1) I don't like the idea of cheating to get ahead. 2) I know that for those that do there is the possibility that the devs could at some point reverse any gains I have been achieved from exploits. 3) I play games for the fun of it. If the journey to get to my next rank, unlock, to earn cash for a purchase, etc. isn't an enjoyable and rewarding experience, I simply won't play. Exploiting glitches is neither fun nor challenging for me so it really doesn't matter how much I gain from them. Rapid advances in level & cash also leave nothing else in the game for me to strive for. I shelved the game a few weeks ago because I came to a point where it felt too repetitive. I'm also not into PvP events so there really hasn't been anything added lately that appeals to me. I will likely revisit the game again after the big Spring Update as I will from time to time after that. RDO will be evolving for a long time into the future and I currently have other things to keep me occupied while I wait for the additional content, changes, etc.2 points

Yeah, me. And probably the vast majority of high ranking players that you havenāt met.2 points

I'm conflicted over this Initially I had the same thought about: "Oh awesome *sarcasm*. Now even more people will have access sooner to high powered stuff to grief with rather than use in PvP." Then I thought about those who've played intently all this time to naturally level up to these rewards and how absolutely sh***y it must feel to see everyone else get them easily. Now I'm only level 36. It would be nothing to sit here all evening grinding out Plunder to hit rank 40 for those horses. Rank 60 could be achieved if I played every night this week. I won't deny the temptation is there. Granted I've felt less inclined to play these last few weeks. I honestly feel this is a smart-but-di*k move by Rockstar who've noticed the playerbase is drifting to other games. This is them dangling the carrot, but at what cost? Simple. Gold purchases. There's no way you can play normally to rank up and earn enough cash to collectively buy these items, be it horses, stalls, saddles, and pamphlets. The temptation has just jumped to throw in $20 or so to get some gold bars. And to boot, you're feeling a little tug to jump back online to take this "great opportunity" up. (at least I'm speaking for myself, but I refuse to buy gold) I also feel like I'd rather wait for the satisfaction of achieving these at their normal rank requirements.2 points

If you park your horse over the animal the animation gets cut. This makes it a bit faster to skin. I do this to avoid getting head shot as easy when roaming by myself.2 points

I can't help but think the current state of RD O player base and unhappy players will push R* to rethink its mindset when it comes to RD O. And this will end up being a good thing in the long run. And hopefully gets rid of the people in charge of RD O for being completely clueless and bad at their job. Because if RD O was successful, nothing would change. Just more of this, for years. Im literally the only person left out of tons of friends who own this game that still plays RD Online.. And when I say plays it, I mean 1 hour a week. Compared to end of 2018 and early 2019 when EVERYONE I knew was playing and I was playing this for many hours a week, (Its kind of sad šŖ) I've gone back to single player. Because I can play FREE AIM in peace, no ability cards.. no bullsh*t.. with a world that actually seems alive and is built around fun. The end of the BETA is going to be R*s second and probably last chance to really bring players back and keep their attention... And give players what they need instead of what Take Two wants.1 point

Finally got it to pop... coincidentally it was this past Saturday... was the swamp version... and managed to pull out in 1st with relative ease... all those hours put in fishing certainly helped... would also recommend to @Vaderspupil to NOT use the special spinner for these events... use the specific lure depending on the body of water1 point

No idea Iām afraid. I think that story mode is basically static now. Online is where all the juice goes these days.1 point

Ah..... There it is. Sorry, I didn't doubt you, I just didn't recall reading that. Guess it didn't stick in my mind since it was never a big issue for me as I hadn't had the problems with griefers as some have especially after the radar / blip changes.1 point

They said the same thing about Asherons Call in the late 90's. Can you believe there are still many people playing it? I can't believe the servers are still up. A friend of mine said our group still had members as of last year. Server still up even after AC2 was dead. Almost a 20 year stretch.1 point

Found it. It was in state of the update on 3/18. It mentions restructured daily challenges that eliminate hostile gameplay in free roam.1 point

....funny. I remember people saying the same thing about GTAO in the early days. Some still did throughout it's life and yet here we are with one of the most successful GaaS models to date in the gaming industry. I rarely buy into these kinds of prophecies from hubbub via the internet/YT. The fact is that some folks will move on from RDO while others will stay. Some folks may come back and new players will join. .....and yeah, there is that chance the game will be a failure although that could be arguable as well as many define that differently. However, if I had to put my money on the experience and track record of a company like R* (with one of the most successful GaaS models in the gaming industry) or internet naysayers to predict RDOs longevity, I'll go with the former. That's not to say that RDO will continue to grow in a direction I personally like but then again, my personal issues (or that of a group) with a game doesn't mean I believe it will fail. I've already shelved this game once and I may likely do it again in the future. ......but like GTAO, I have a feeling I'll keep returning and may even stay a while at times.1 point
-
I don't recall them saying that those would be removed in the Spring Update but if they are, that would be nice IMO. .....or perhaps at least make it so they are "event-only" where PvP engagements are recognized and expected. Defenders would be expecting a fight but attackers are not penalized for their aggressive actions.1 point
-
I try to do those in a showdown series or free roam event. The other day though when one of the challenges was to kill 3 players with thrown weapons from horseback, I was struggling to complete that in said modes, I ended up completing it in free roam against unsuspecting players. It made me feel like dirt. Thankfully, iirc, R* said that when the big spring update hits, it will do away with those pvp based daily challenges.1 point

Donāt disagree with you but griefing starts with that first kill (if theyāre using explosive ammo as you have no defence) which comes completely unwarranted and unprovoked. Iām very aware of whatās going on around me at all times as I use the companion app but Iām the sort of person to give people the benefit of the doubt. Blowing away any player that comes a bit close or ālooks at you funnyā only makes the situation in the game worse. Canāt buy money? You can buy gold which can be used as an in-game cash substitute, I donāt see the difference.1 point

A friend of mine whos level 61 just bought the explosive ammo papers. Hes already dealt with griefers with explosive ammo.. by using explosive ammo against them. Theres two sides to this.. And always has been. Griefers are only a real problem if they have access to weapons, items and ability cards that the players they attack don't have. Which is a problem for RD O pvp. The reality is there should be no rank unlocks. It should all be money/gold based. Ranks make no sense.. And, Explosive ammo should not be in RD O.. Among other things. But hey.. If you're just minding your business and bunch of REAL griefers (Not just random pests) decide to attack in a group, with slippery bastard, while on a horse, flip hats for head shots. Then Explosive ammo is the only real counter. A full inventory of explosive ammo is 40 kills... I've had explosive ammo for a while. Its basically pest control ammo. See another idiot on horse doing pony hat show.? BOOM! **** him, **** his hat and **** his horse all in one shot. And from my experience, they never really want to come back. Even if they have access to explosive ammo. But this is also the future. Basically everyone will be riding with explosive ammo soon.1 point

Red Dead Online is steadily getting its scheduled beta updates week after week, fleshing out the game and adding more and more content. This week we got one more Showdown Mode further buffing out the game's PvP selection, as well as new clothes, and a number of rank requirement decreases on items. The new Plunder mode takes the classic one-flag CTF rules and puts a new spin on them, as do a few other of the existing Showdown modes. Players team up to acquire supplies strewn about the center of the map, and return these safely to their bases to score points. The more supplies are in the base at the end of the match, the more points you get - obviously, the goal is to have more supplies than the enemy. Aside from grabbing the supplies from the map, you may want to decrease the enemy's count while adding to your own by stealing supplies from the opposing team's base instead. Keep in mind that when you are carrying supplies, your blip will be visible to all players at all distances, making you a target. Fill up your cores and buff yourself up with consumables. If you're rolling with a group you are familiar with, make sure to equip ability cards that have team benefits. This week's selection of limited issue clothing is a little more limited than usual. We don't mean it's rarer, just that there are fewer options. The Owanjila Hat, the Concho Pants and the Porter Jacket are only available in the catalog this week, so grab them before they're gone. Rockstar has also temporarily reduced the rank requirements of a number of clothes and other items this week. All clothing items within the coats, holster, boots and gloves categories that are usually restricted to Rank 40 or above are now available to all players. The Turkoman, the Missouri Fox Trotter and Arabian Horse is now available for Rank 40 players, and finally Volatile Dynamite, Incendiary Buckshot, Explosive Slug, Express Explosive, and Dynamite Arrows are all available to Rank 60 players. The limited item clothes are available through the 17th, and the rank requirement reductions are available through the 15th of April. The post Plunder Showdown Mode Available In Red Dead Online appeared first on RDR2.org. Read the full story1 point

Glad to know this wasn't just me! Thanks for sharing them addressing it as well. I guess I have to level up to make it appear normal again. I thought I was being punished for something lol1 point

That's not what kills you. The empty stall is $750 + $125 insurance. That's a lot of black squirrels and jack rabbits, Cowboy. Everybody raves about the black Arabian but the sticker price makes me weak in the knees and I just can't pull the trigger. Somebody at Rockstar must have a garden because I was surprised her name passed the censors. I'm saving my remaining gold, waiting for Rockstar to release the hot air balloon like the ones used in the so-called Civil War š1 point

Negative XP Appearing in the Red Dead Online Beta Created April 9, 2019Updated April 9, 2019 Print Question: My Red Dead Online Beta character has a negative XP number being displayed next to their Rank. What should I do? Answer: An issue which appeared to show players receiving negative XP has been resolved. If you are still seeing this, please note that once you've earned enough XP to reach the next Rank level, your XP and Rank will display normally.1 point

To be fair, there shouldn't be any guns/ammo/ability cards locked behind levels. This borks the balance beyond belief and makes no sense. And the game is too boring to grind for most people. Also there's plenty of griefers out there with explosive ammo.. Hunting down low levels and knowing full well the low levels have no chance. But I can tell you this much. With more people having the explosive rounds now, this is what the future will soon look like. Imagine one year from now. RDR end game will be either hiding in passive 'defensive mode' OR getting blasted by exploding ammo with auto aim. Old Red Dead Online had explosive rifles that would appear during a special hideout.. With limited amounts of ammo, that would disappear when you died. If it was up to me.. There would be NO explosive ammo. But if R* is going to add this BS to the game, then all players should have access to it.1 point

All i can say is that i regret playing past lvl100, absolute no point for me when i look back. I thought they would update this mess so i grinded away but i was wrong. Killed 30000 players and 40000 animals there is your answer to Most of the xp, money is easy to make so no need to duplicate animals etc.1 point

If you are real good at PVP getting XP in a short time is easy. I'm not that good at PVP. I do have fun trying tho.1 point

Yea they probably just should unlock all stuff so kids can buy Gold, away with all lvl recuirements so more can enjoy the same repetetive few things to do or just shoot the crap out of everything without anything to work towards.... this game would have been dead already1 point

No exploits just days and days grinding this game did we get to the level we are.... tonight should be fun š1 point

I have never done any of the exploits and made it to level 54 playing a lot and doing missions, story, hunting, fishing, etc. Only been playing for a couple months. I play just about every day for at least 4 hrs. Most all weekends. Weather hasn't been good so why not. Although, if I have the money and make it to 60, you bet I will get the pamphlets.1 point
-
Calling like you see it? Lol...Ok. Why do you act like you have it so hard because you are solo? Just curious. I have been there too. We all have. Not that big of a deal. I didn't start running in a posse until I was 50s-60s. And that wasn't because I was like "poor low level me" , I was asked by a friend to join their RDR Group. But I would have been fine solo if I wanted to be. Game isn't hard or overwhelming. Lot's of people grind solo daily with minimum issues.1 point

Just made rank 82 so right in the neighbourhood for the pamphlets I was really looking forward to getting and now anyone at rank 60 can get them? Seriously R*? Way to piss off the most loyal portion of your player-base. Why not just introduce the Oppressor to Red Dead already and be done with it so I know not to waste any more of my time?1 point

That's because we are both right. And its R* being wrong in terms of a ONE lobby fits all type mindset. When money is involved R* always labels it as a top priority. Which is why im happy about the decaying player base, because that means less money for R*. Which will light a fire under R*s ass and hopefully lead to the RD O getting the proper handling it deserves.1 point
