  2. I really don't care if theres a 1000 of them all strapped to a chair with diapers on so they can hunt me 24/7. It wouldn't bother me in the slightest. I also think something else is going on here. If these guys are joining your games and finding you so easily.. You have a rat in your group.

  6. My loooong winded complimentary rant about this game. If you have a life just skip it, I bought Far Cry 5 a week before I bought RDR2, I bought RDR after I finished RDR2 the second time, because I didnt want the story to end, I have other games I used to love and play daily, COD WW2, Star Wars Battlefront 2, etc.. After playing RDR2 three times now and having just started the online part, I just cant play my other games. Rockstar really got this right despite any shortcomings with online. I was stoked about Far Cry 5 for a long time, I only played Far Cry 2, never saw another so I figured 5 has to be great right? I loved 2 it was really fun. It looked good, I played it a few times, and then I played rdr2, now I just cant bring myself to turn it on, lol. This game is too good and I want to tell every other game maker, hey, you, step it up!! this is what we need, these physics, graphics, AI, etc.. you want to make a ww2 game, fine, make it like this, make a fictional sci fi game, great!! like this though!! lol These npc's and random encounters and stranger missions and side stories, holy cow!! this is it!! this is how I would to see games coming out work on. honestly Im shocked as the money seems to be in online games and I am not a big online player, other than COD ww2 I really do not play games online, too many hassles and headaches, cheaters, lag etc.. So to make a game this deep on the single player side I feel like it was made for me When I started playing video games it was in the early 1970's Zaxxon was an early 3d game at arcades and later on I think Colecovision maybe? I dunno we had it though, The Adam computer that ran on cassettes, lol, not even floppys yet. I loved it and I remembered thinking, I hope games keep getting better. Then later Goldeneye came out and blew me away, but then Quake 2 came out on pc and if you had a decent gamer, lol like a 400 mhz p2 or something you could play it at 99 fps at 1600x1200 and we were blown away!! That started about 8 years of building gaming pcs and over clocking them long before you could actually do it like today, we used graphite pencils and connected circuits on the chip itself to unlock multiplier's and open up the Front side bus, because if you did it right, you could take a pc game and crank the settings to the max and still get 60 fps, for a few years this was all I did. then came Half life, and counter strike, then HL2, and Crysis, and veitcong, eventually Call of Duty world at war. All of that led to Red Dead Redemption 2 and it was a wild ride. Now that we are here, I can say this is the apex of gaming in my lifetime, the smoothest running highly detailed game I have ever seen, I am very thankful people are so dedicated to this that I was able to witness the entire evolution from pong to RDR2. I'm old, but I'm a gamer, always have been, as an adult I either have had gaming pc's or the latest consoles on 70" 4k tvs, it just makes me smile and think about 10 year old me, and how awesome this is compared to the old black and white spare tv in the basement playing Atari games like pitfall and breakout. End Rant, RDR2 is amazing, the sp side of it is unparalleled. Even the online side for a Beta is great! and only goign to get better, it is simply amazing and after playing it for a few months it is easy to get desensitized to it and forget how awesome this game really is.

  7. With "20 Players killed" as a daily challenge, I'm not quite sure how much Rockstar really is trying. I've stated before that this split personality type behavior confuses gamers as to what is really considered acceptable behavior. I guess we'll have to wait and see how "restructured Daily Challenges that eliminate hostile gameplay in Free Roam" really plays out, compared with 20 Players killed, but today's rather confusing behavior does very little to clarify Rockstar's real attitude toward griefing. Griefers and disruptive players use the fact that they can complete challenges such as this while in free roam as some kind of tacit approval that they should.

  8. I got a few games for Christmas, one of which I haven't even played yet. Do the math on that. lol I feel you. I love and hate the situation I am in. Online is "meh" at times but the story just sucked me in. I loved how the game felt playing it, it was aesthetically pleasing, and the storyline was solid. Hard to top this.

  12. yep. as we recruit new members, and they get their uniforms, we give them a code to the channel and they are then in the group. We have a big battle tomorrow so we are all out recruiting hard all week.

  13. Locking weapons behind money is pretty much the same as locking them behind rank. How do you get money? By playing the game. But how do you do that in your world when the playing field again is not level? So your argument has to be that everything is just given away and then people just play shooting everyone else because that’s the only point to the game anymore. The kid in the football league analogy is ridiculous and nothing like what I’m suggesting or what the game situation currently is. I’m not advocating a Wild West game with no hostile players at all - another exaggeration - there is a difference between hostile tendencies and just being out to ruin everyone else’s game.

  14. The game has 3 types of players in it. Sheep, Wolves and Sheep Dogs. You need all 3 to make the game enjoyable IMO. Not everyone wants to be a sheep. Some like to be Wolves , but there are always Sheep Dogs around to check them. I think everything balances out well. You remove all the wolves from the game and the Sheep Dogs may start to turn because they are bored without the wolves to hunt.

  15. 100% here ! I had to check everyone in our community to see what community's they were in and peak at friends list. I think @HuDawg may be right on the trail. Check for spies bud. I do not condone going after them if they truly have those kind of numbers with them as your day will end in frustration. Don't think there is an answer here exept keep yourself loaded with dynamite and take as many of them with you as you can. Not sure even the bravest cowboys could handle those numbers. Hope you find peace bro !

  16. Well, heres how I see it. Even if your friend is the most popular Red Dead Streamer. Its still shot in the dark trying to land in a lobby with him in it. I doubt they are constantly joining lobby after lobby trying to land in your lobby. Someone is helping them either by mistake or on purpose. Either by inviting them to come to the game OR by having one of them on their friends list. If what you're saying is true and they're constantly finding you so easily every time you guys stream. Id go with someone is inviting them to the game. Or someone is friends with one of them. (Maybe not even noticing) and they are just joining any time they want.

  18. I'm been on PSN for years and I don't think I've added any players to my block list. RDO pops up and I have now added over 100 and reported them in the game itself. I have no idea if it works (I haven't really kept track of the griefers that have popped me while spawning in, fishing, walking the butcher with a pig in my arms, etc. I just report/block and forget). Reporting and blocking is all I have right now because I feel fighting back gives the griefers what they want. Even if you kill some of them, I think that feeds into a weird psychotic...well, I won't go there. It's obvious that with current daily challenges of "20 Players killed" and upcoming promises of "restructured Daily Challenges that eliminate hostile gameplay in Free Roam," some players are even confused as to how they should play. Younger or more impressionable players who aren't fully mentally developed are definitely not being helped by Rockstar's rather confusing behavior. While Rockstar could choose to lead them in a positive direction, they have chosen to meander a little aimlessly at this point. Hopefully the offensive/defensive update, along with "restructured Daily Challenges that eliminate hostile gameplay in Free Roam," will have the effect that most of us seem to want.

  19. I'm kind of guessing that you're running around forums trying to recruit a lynch party to deal with the guys on your hit-list. The problem is that this only perpetuates the problem. Instead of one group running around griefing others, you now have two. As above (a few times), all you should do is report/block/move and accept the fact that high-ranking streamers will get targetted, it's the price of fame. For advice, contact other popular streamers and ask how they deal with being targeted like this. I really doubt that it's through raising lynch parties.

  20. This seems to be a common topic on here and other places. I think it is best to handle this a few ways depending on how the other player/players are acting. If you are just being annoyed by them, block them on your system, then go to a new server. If they are known griefers, you want to report them in the game then block them on your system, and hop on a new server. This is not full proof but this is the best approach. Most of the time once you block them on your system and go back online, you are not likely to end up on the same server as them. It can happen but it makes it a lot less likely. I have done this enough times myself to see that it works. As for reporting players, I really don't know how Rockstar handles that on their end but if they are genuinely bad players, I hope something is done.

  21. If they are really that big of an issue, contact Rockstar about them. I am sure they don't want other players doing this kind of stuff and threatening other players. The group sounds like a bunch of pussies. lol

  24. Meh.. To each their own. I work long days. I smoke extremely good high quality weed. So when I boot up and open world action game, I don't got time for that leveling sh*t. To me its just.. Like dangling a carrot in front of my face. I would rather punch the guy dangling the carrot and just take the damn thing instead of chasing the carrot all day long..

  25. Its a clever way to keep players playing especially those incl myself who have a tendensy to trigger the dopamine system upon ranking and unlocking things aka addict behaviour. If nothing would have been locked i never would have played this alfa/beta/peta/fullonlinegame/crap at all. Its as simple as that,,,, get the player hooked and you get away with almost anything. Just my personal opinion of course

  27. Wow. Way to go rockstar. Make it easier for all the new players to access equipment, items, and perks that higher level players had to grind there way to get. Your not even trying to compensate anyone for this...

  28. i mean these people are legit scum. im gonna be posting it on ever forum and reddit i can find. they earned it. this isnt a 1 day thing. i has been over 7 weeks. my friend is an up and coming streamer with 1.1k follows in 2 months. she is the most consistently watched rdr2 online streamer on mixer. she helps the game more then anyone on this site, no offense. she puts it out there, like herself .. has fun and lets anyone play with her. she is good people that just wants to play rdr2 . one of the few that has stayed on the game that continues to grow more and more irrelevant every day because of... griefers/ streamsnipes. ggs tho dude. no words and if i sound salty, it is because i am. i am beyond salty. not with you @Kean_1 particularly .. just the over situation. ive quit rdr2 because it is stupid. i have a lvl 105 character and 125. but as i stated earlier it is DYING because of people like this. we can usually make griefers quit. but when there is SIXTY+ members, it is kind of impossible.

  29. I wash my horse with water all the time. It works, I can see the blood from pelts come right off. I've done it both on SP and online. The water has to be fairly deep though. I'd say at least up to the horse's belly. Since baths aren't available online, I'll go for a swim to clean my character off. A heavy rain will also clean you and your horse.

  31. Foretelling the future most of the time is simply paying attention to the present. All games available on various online services are a commercial enterprise. Sure there are the hard core geeks that are passionate about the product on their payroll but ultimately its a money thing. No dollars, no product. Human history, let alone corporate history, is littered with the remains of people/companies who fly too close to the sun, pride before the fall kinda thing. Rockstar has a track record courtesy of GTA V online of being able to turn around a buggy, glitching game to make money. The question is, do they have the money and the will to solve the problems with the Beta online? In a previous post I mentioned that less than 10% on people playing the Online Beta have reached rank 50, that was a mistake. Less than 1% of people playing the online Beta have reached level 50 and less than 10% of players have reached level 10. Some players will delete their characters numerous times and start a new profile in an attempt to stockpile cash and clothes, you don't lose them if you start over. Beta or not a beta, those figures are what is happening in the present.

  34. You know, it's funny. Since the blip color change, I've been killed by more blue dots than red ones. Not that big of a deal since I just kill them right back and move on, but it's still annoying as hell! I can't wait till the implement the offensive and defensive flags. Of course griefers are always going to find new ways to grief, but at least R* is trying.

  36. I'm not sure to be honest, I know it started after I sold the horse that I had selected for story missions, so its almost like it still thinks it should be that one? I suppose all that can be done is wait and see for the moment. Whatever it is it seems to have glitched it completely, as I logged in yesterday and its still the same.

  38. Think about what you said for a second, you are generally a nice person so please don't take offense to what im saying lol. 1.This game was in Development for damn near 8 years? that's a whole lot of time to get their sh*t together. "they made one of the greatest single player games" sure I believe that but the issue is they also included, advertised and even the previous rdr had single player. So its entirely their fault for not working or having a dedicated team to work on the online aspect of the game. 2. They included micro transactions from the get, they made around 725 million on the first 3 days of release lol so idk why the hell they brand a beta yet have micro transactions instantly when they don't need it. I would be fine if they released them after the beta was fully released but not during. 3. Its not a beta, its a quick cash grab companies do now a days to make as much money as they can before they either succeed or fail miserably. Look at Fortnite its still on beta yet its at season 2,000 lol. 4. No point in staying in a dying game, there are gonna be more AAA titles releasing such as Gears of War, Cyberpunk, days gone, rage 2.. just to name a few, im pretty sure that most if not all of these games will be finished products with updates rather than a half assed Alpha (bare bones) that they plan on releasing at the span of 5 years. It doesn't work that way for true RDR fans, it works for GTA but not here unfortunately.

  39. I play online now more than ever and it is mainly due to the decline, fewer players means fewer problems, it is still loaded with plenty of people I wish would get bored and move on, but it gets better everyday. Trying to get your stuff to the butcher in Tumbleweed is nearly impossible, so the whole lower part of the map is basically off limits, everytime I go to hunt, I end up having to run for my life or lose all my stowed carcasses it isnt even worth the trip anymore. Ill be glad when they implement this hostilely system but until then, at least in a few corners of the map you can still do your thing without people distracting you from what you are trying to do. Id like to see the game succeed but they already succeeded with the single player, if they cant get rid of all these red dots and A holes then the online part will never be fun except for the people who enjoy ruining every one else's game time, Im watching the numbers decline and loving it. Ive only this past week had a chance to really play the online like try the pvp games for instance and those are fun, and they beg the question why are people still griefing everyone instead of joining a pvp session where killing is the objective? Why arent they playing more and why do they find it fun just starting trouble everywhere? It is a frustrating conundrum. I was getting bored just grinding for cash but now I am past all that, I hit my goals and bought everything I needed, now I really dont need anything, so I am trying the various games and most are good fun, they really help learn the fighting part well. The most annoying thing I see is a high level player with two others with him, lower levels, and he is the posse leader, so you might think, ok they will do some caravans or mail deliveries or other stranger missions as a team right? Nope, just hang around town, wait for unsuspecting players then ambush them for nothing, these people are the real problem. But I digress I know this has all been addressed and they are working on it.
