The little rectangle in the red crosshairs is a cabin. You will find platinum earrings, a platinum necklace, liquor, canned goods, and express ammo for your rifle 😁 and maybe even some gun oil. You can hit this once every 24 hours. Also, Braithwaite Mansion has platinum jewelry, first bedroom on the left upstairs and there are liquors in the dining room. Premium cigarettes in the living room You can only hit these spots once in a 24-hour period1 point

This is the second time in a week that the following thing happened to me. Today my last daily challenge was to clear out ONE hideout (I've already cleared out one). I have been roaming around for about 4-5 hours and went specifically to the spots where hideouts should spawn and NOTHING! I mean, I can understand that R* wants to keep us busy, but this is a big screw over. A few days ago, my last daily challenge was to pluck 2 whooping cranes. Took me 3 hours and went through all the specific locations where they spawn and couldn't find ONE lousy crane. Anybody else having these kind of bad experiences with the daily challenges??? Cheers!1 point

Yep. Power off completely, wait a minute or two and then switch back on. And make sure it’s a full shut down, not just going to standby. If that doesn’t sort it and other games work fine, then try a Rockstar ticket.1 point

Personally, I would try a hard reset of the console first. If that doesn't work, then I might try messing with the audio settings (changing the settings back and forth to see if that makes a difference). IIRC, another player had a similar problem recently and a fellow mod suggested something similar (even unplugging the XB1 I believe). Have you played the large showdown series pvp games? you get an awful lot of action in there. If you want to do single player style things like home robberies and train robberies then I understand, I too wish they would add these and more, BUT its Beta, they spent years, millions of dollars over budget, passed a deadline by a year making the game, they obviously still needed a lot more time and money to get it they way they wanted it. But I say that is to be expected with something this awesome, there is no mold for this in business they broke the mold and defied the standard limitations to bring us this incredible experience and I think they delivered, so we just need to give them the time they want, I say take all the time you need, because I love what they do when you leave them alone and let them do it. I really hope that they deliver in the end, I truly believe they will, so far they have given us what they have that is working, but I really believe that lots of amazing things are coming, just hang in there and keep leveling up.1 point

Got a handle on how to get the online game working for you pretty well now it seems @lumper. Congrats. 😉1 point

They feed off your attention. A reaction from you is what they crave. Just hit parley and ignore. Pretty boring for them.1 point

The game has 3 types of players in it. Sheep, Wolves and Sheep Dogs. You need all 3 to make the game enjoyable IMO. Not everyone wants to be a sheep. Some like to be Wolves , but there are always Sheep Dogs around to check them. I think everything balances out well. You remove all the wolves from the game and the Sheep Dogs may start to turn because they are bored without the wolves to hunt.1 point

Total slap in the face for the hours of grind I put in to level up so I could have the perks of a high rank player. Really getting ****ed off with this game.1 point

Its a clever way to keep players playing especially those incl myself who have a tendensy to trigger the dopamine system upon ranking and unlocking things aka addict behaviour. If nothing would have been locked i never would have played this alfa/beta/peta/fullonlinegame/crap at all. Its as simple as that,,,, get the player hooked and you get away with almost anything. Just my personal opinion of course1 point

Wow. Way to go rockstar. Make it easier for all the new players to access equipment, items, and perks that higher level players had to grind there way to get. Your not even trying to compensate anyone for this...1 point

For me my play style is to be fast and mobile. The weight slowed me down too much, sure I could take more bullets. But don't need a fat cushion if I just do better. Not saying for everyone to git gud, but that's how I hold myself.1 point

Lucky you. I have issues almost every week. I stopped bothering with them like a month and a half ago. Seems like for some people, the issues only got worse. Not sure why this game is unevenly broken.1 point

I try to do those in a showdown series or free roam event. The other day though when one of the challenges was to kill 3 players with thrown weapons from horseback, I was struggling to complete that in said modes, I ended up completing it in free roam against unsuspecting players. It made me feel like dirt. Thankfully, iirc, R* said that when the big spring update hits, it will do away with those pvp based daily challenges.1 point

A lot of the challenges actively encourage griefing/cheap shots, unfortunately. The other day I noticed 2 red dot players in a posse lassoing a blue dot who was AFK and dragging him. I killed them in defense of the player who was being dragged and they seemed to return to their controller. These two moved on and I chased them a ways before letting them go. About 10 minutes later I noticed they appeared to be fishing just by looking at the map. I rode down to them and circled, came back and chucked 2 or 3 dynamite sticks at them for a challenge of "Kill 3 players with thrown weapons from horseback". They got pissed and came at me hard with their best weapons lol. One even messaged me (I never responded). It seems they thought they were something to grief, but when I griefed them back, they got super pissed hahaha I let them kill me over and over, by just standing and waving at them to let them know I didn't give a s**t. One player was level 38 so I figured he'd think he was cool and get some XP, but his posse leader was around level 235 and killed me way more times than the level 38 guy did. I probably sat there taunting them by waving/"I'm hit!"ing for about an hour before I got bored and parleyed hahaha.1 point

The hide outs did not show up for me or my posse and we rode to every hideout location over a 6hr period normally they pop up many times during that time span.1 point

the other day it happened to me with turkeys. you realize ? the turkeys! they are usually everywhere .. well, that day seemed extinct for me! when I finally found one, it was by itself (they are always in groups of three or four elements).1 point

Same here. I noticed the ones that do work hardly give you anything either. Like how they expect us to level up doing these when more than half the time, they can't even be done?1 point

Yes, for example on days where you need to kill 2 roosters, plenty other players also have the same challenges and there are no roosters to be had anywhere. I think what's happening is somebody in the lobby gets lucky and gets to them first and then they never respawn. Often I'll notice players going to the rooster/chicken areas, walk in and stand there, defeated. I've messaged them quickly asking if they too are there for a rooster or chicken and every time they say "OMG, YES!". I listed their spawn locations and asked if they've checked those places too. I always get told that nobody ever sees any animals at McFarlane's Ranch. I had to get quails once, none spawned and I've found that if you kill birds especially from too far away, they despawn before you get to them, adding the frustration that they also will never spawn in again no matter how long you wait or how far you go and come back. Herbs on the other hand work great for respawning. If you find a small area with a variety of herbs you can pick them, leave the area a fairly short distance and immediately come back and they're all respawned again.1 point

Yes. Same thing. The things you need for daily challenges seem to disappear the day they are challenge. Last couple of mobile games I played did the same thing. You spend more time, resources for little reward on daily challenge. MCOC, a few years back, was real $ for daily challenge @ the time seemed worse than this If I fall into them fine but I'm not grinding for them.1 point

Same here,,,, broken as Most things in this game/beta/alfa?/delta or whatever1 point

Yes half of them don't work especially if you have to get more than 1 of anything, I gave up.1 point

More things to do mean more reasons for players to shoot you, Rockstar doesnt want you making money in this game remember? so if they add new things to freemode they're more than likely going to make you a target one way or another. The only fix is separate lobbies and i'll push for it until its a thing lmao.1 point
