My thoughts exactly, be patient, trust R* and try not to over think it, we get it, its not ideal, but let's see what happens after the Spring update. Personally I think the greatness will come later, I dont even think the Spring update will "complete" the game, I think it will deliver what they explained to us in Feb, but there will still be many things not done, It will be a while yet I believe, but I have faith. I played the Single player 3 x, once in a rush to see the whole story, then a second time, just to go see all the stuff I rushed by the first time, the third and final time, I did it so I could see everything in game as I played the story, it was amazing, and I know the people who made that game, want the online to be just as great, so try to be patient and let them finish the game.2 points

It's also possible that they're hard at work on something pretty awesome and want to get it right more than "right now".2 points

Not saying they don't need time, but they have been working on it since off and on since the release of the 1st one. GTAO seems to be their business model. Just curious on how long players are supposed to go blindly into the night before saying, "Hey, you know I don't think this is going to get fixed?" Beta shouldn't be taken months or even years. It should have been fixed and ready to go. I have even heard players state that we didn't pay for RDO, that we only paid for RDR2 and RDO is just a freebie they through in. I just laugh, cause you had to buy RDR2 to get that freebie. I say don't give too much to Rockstar's generousity. They are doing it to make money above all else.1 point

My son and I were talking about the same thing. TD and TD2 would make a great series. Much better than the stupid ones on now like swat and fbi.1 point

Never paid much attention to doom & gloom predictions about most games as they usually turn out to be wrong. Heard a lot of the same stuff about GTAO when it was struggling initially. They lost a lot of folks in the beginning but then gained some back and much more after they started refining, adding content, etc. I already knew folks would be turned off by the fact that they were going to release RDO as a beta while they developed the game. While I'll admit that I thought they would be further along by now, that was purely an assumption on my part. I also expected that this would be a long process and R* has been very up front about that. Personally, I know some are miffed by the actions R* has taking to help mitigate griefing but I like the direction they are going with that and I know that there is much more to come. Spring is almost over which means the Spring Update could be arriving any time. .....likely along with more news, more on the roadmap, etc. I guess the way I deal with it is different than some others. With betas, I prefer a wait and see approach. If I get bored, I will simply will take a break as I have been for the past month. I play other games but keep up to date on what's going on so I can revisit when an update hits that appeals to me. If things don't pan out the way I like, then I simply delete the game and move on. Only time will tell.1 point

rstar aint bothered about the rdr1 fans leaving this game. rstar are wanting the casual mainstream gamers for a quick buck. very sad but very true. rhe evidence is quite clear throughout the beta.1 point

I am finding many new players, lower ranked players, are starting off and experimenting and often are aggressive. So when you see blue blips, and they arent obvious until they are upon you, when they act aggressively it makes it tough, the whole point of blue vs red was to protect the blue non aggressive blips from the more aggressive red blips. I dont know why they arent upgraded to red as soon as they attack a few people, but it seems that many are not. The problem with this is you cant trust them, so I have been telling new players (I met a level 5 yesterday) how it works, but I had to add to my advice, "lately blue blips under level 25 have proven to be hostile, so be careful, when you see anyone approach you at speed especially just be prepared for a possible fight, have your weapons ready and if you have a mic use it, introduce yourself, ask them not to grief you, tell them what you are doing , I find this can diffuse a lot of situations, I know it stopped a few attacks in my case." It doesnt always work, but it does help. Also, any player can spend gold to buy their honor back, so a red blip can be a blue blip anytime they want for some gold in game. When I see three new players, a level 5, a 12 and a 14 hanging around a level 61 all in a posse and all around Rhodes lets say, I know enough to avoid the butcher in Rhodes for the time being. Its not that I cant dispatch 4 newer players I just would rather not lose my carcasses and stowed animals if I am in a grind for something, I will wait them out or go to another butcher, whereas if I see the same thing, 4 players, but over level 61, say a couple 125's and a 90 I know 90% of the time, they arent griefers, even if they are red blips, and getting to the butcher wont be a problem, so... take it for what it is, know your place and dont trust anyone 100% but new players the least, as they are unpredictable.1 point

Well, Xbox players have State of Decay 2, which is pretty similar and something I was annoyed I couldn't play until I found out about Days Gone. IMO, though, I think platform exclusives (maybe excepting certain PC games like ArmA that give you so many control options that you'd need six controllers and twice as many hands to actually play it) are an outdated concept that should be done away with. Anyone thinking of getting Days Gone might want to hold off or at least shelve it for a bit, though. The 1.06 update that was released for it the other day is causing some consoles to crash, with yours truly being one of those affected. As much as I want to fire it up and play right now, I'd rather not risk my PS4's hardware or hard drive being damaged in some way.1 point

Here are some of our posse characters that have been made. In are Posse/Crew every member eventually receives their own Cigarette Card. The first card is my player.1 point

Blue blips are red blips that haven't shot you yet. LOL Most red blips I run across just keep on going doing their own thing.1 point

Plunder isn't gone. It is lumped in with the series joins (I think the small series). I hate that you have to wait playing ones you don't like in hopes that it shows up in the rotation. Plunder, Up in Smoke, and Spoils of War are all lumped into the rotation.1 point

Nothing was removed its just buried in showdown series modes. Up in smoke and several others are in small showdown series. Others are in large. Featured series is what changes and is currently target races. We play everyday. Just a tip for stranger missions , keep your posse at least 80 yards from mission giver. They will start most times. Good luck out there on the prairie cowpolks ! It's great fun all in all1 point

Yes, Plunder has completely disappeared, and the only options left are some series choices with different games. That would be ok if the games were fun. Unfortunately too many aren't really, Too many of them are just running around solo being lost. I think most of the games left are only fun for a few. The rest of us are there to pad their stats. I need a posse...1 point

My advice don't move your camp. The way the economy is in RDO now days. You are wasting cash that is hard and at times tedious to earn. I have spent $2600 on my camp and I never use it.1 point

It's in the Free Roam menu. There is a camp option within it. On PS4 the Free Roam menu is accessible with the left D-Pad button IIRC. If you're solo or in a temp posse, you only have access to small camps. Persistent posses have access to large camps.1 point

Guess I'm missing it. I didn't see anything in the new promo / mission news that says they removed anything.1 point

If that is your opinion then you are certainly entitled to it, I disagree, strongly. I have never seen a game with such good acting, good story, great graphics, and physics, or AI, etc ever in my life and I have been playing video games for a long time, since 1975 or before, that is my earliest memory of it, 74, / 75. Not only that but they broke the mold of finishing a game within the deadline no matter what, even if that game isnt quite right or could be better, Rockstar said no way, we arent releasing this game until it is near perfect, (talking about the single player game) they werent willing to sacrifice any quality for time or money, and that is a huge step in the right direction for gamers who want the best. If you dont think the game is amazing and realize that with enough time, they will release a great product then why do you care so much, just move on to a better game. I think the reason so many people are so upset, is they are very passionate about the game and they want to play it right now, and they arent considering what it took to make this game and the fact that yeah, they fell behind on budget and time, get over it, its not the end of the world, it is a video game, and they arent going to hurry it along because you want to play it right now, they didnt listen to their board of directors and they arent going to listen to us either. It is a matter of father knows best, they know your pissed, they know you wanted it yesterday, but they also know what they are capable of and they know what they want the game to look like and feel like and play like when it is done, so you have to trust them and just find something else to do in the meantime. It seems crazy to me, to ":demand" anything or to roast them over it and call them names and complain about them,etc.. this is a game you like, the people who made this game and put this much into it have my respect 100% and I will be patient, after seeing how amazing of an experience they already delivered in the single player version I have no doubt that they will make online as good as it can be in time. Acting like your mad, making threats to leave and not come back, etc.. all the things people are doing, they are doing out of frustration because they simply want to play the game in its glory, not this un-finished mess of a game that we have at the moment. Just hang in there, once it is released and fixed, everyone will come back, people say nope, Im out, Ive had it, they did this and that and because of that they lost me, well I Say good, see ya, we have plenty of players, and will have plenty more, there is no shortage of players, even now as it is and those who stayed away until it got better will come back when it does, why wouldnt they, again, this game is amazing on its own, the online portion of it will also be amazing, in time. IMO We just have to wait it out.1 point

I don't share most of the OPs complaints. 1. I like auto-aim. I'm not playing RDO as a shooter, pvp, skill oriented, shoot-em-up. I play RDO for the immersion. (more on that momentarily) If I want to really test my skills and play a true free aim pvp game there are plenty of better games to choose from. 2. I don't get griefed very often. And when I do, I like it. There are some bad Hombres in the world. Not everyone can be trusted. Strangers should be met with suspicion. Bandits roam the open plains. This creates tension in the world and makes me happy to be a pretty formidable Hombre myself. In the immortal words of Doc Holiday; "I'm your huckleberry". This isn't toxic. This is fun. I don't even pay off my bounties. I prefer to have random bounty hunters looking for me. Keeps free roam more interesting. 3. I have no issue with them lowering the level requirements for crafted items. (Ammo and tonics) I felt this was needed to make the playing field more level for the vast majority of players. Prior to the reduction, only a very few had an extreme advantage. Now at least, there is more parity with the community at large. 4. Losing connection for me is rare. It happens, but not often. For me, my complaints revolve around the need for more immersive content. More missions, more random encounters, more NPC interactions, etc. I would like them to fix a few of the bugs, ie; Character weight bug, Horse bonding level bug, walk style reset bug, etc. Expand the use of camps. And so on... I'm not playing as much or as often as I once was, but I still hold out hope that R* has more surprises coming. Besides, it's not like I am being charged money to log in and play whenever I feel the call of the wild, wild, west.1 point
