For me to decide if it’s worth it. Does it hold more large skins, how many? Does it hold more large fish, how many? And most important; If I get kicked off the server does it keep the skins or does it lose them like on the horse? Update! I bought it and love it. At least 5 large skins. 5 of the large fish so at $7.25 + one on my horse I made $43.50 in about 20 minutes. Got kicked off the server kept all the skins even one I added just a few seconds before the kick. With insurance if you wreck your wagon you get it back in a few minutes with everything you had on it. Best Buy of the game for me so far.1 point

Most gaming platforms like this don't allow it but from what I have read, you can do the reverse. You will be able to see all your states from Steam to Rockstar. They just likely won't be handled the other way around.1 point

Ryzen 5 for sure, It is plenty powerful enough for any AAA title for years to come. Your graphics card is much more important. Just make sure you meet the recommended requirements for RDR2 and make sure you have enough ram. The Ryzen 5 is also the newer of the two you mentioned. See how little the difference is below: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Ryzen+5+2600&id=3243 https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Ryzen+7+1700X&id=2969 Here is a build that will very comfortably play RDR2, just add a case and other extras if needed: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yd3yXv1 point

I can say this, my gaming desk currently has an Asus VG245 60Hz 1080p monitor with the PlayStation 4 Slim and the Xbox One X. Keep in mind that I'm only running at 1080p. GTA 5 is far better on my gaming laptop with Intel i5 and GTX 1050 TI 4 GB then the Xbox One X. But comparing Call of Duty WWII, it is way better on the Xbox One X. Assassin's Creed Origins is amazing on the Xbox One X, but I don't have it on PC to compare. In general, I find that the PC will offer you more, but not alway's. Optmization is key. Digital Foundary concluded that the Xbox One X provided the best experience for Red Dead Redemption 2 on console due to the hardware. No doubt that the PC version will be great!.1 point

Not sure, but as a guess I would say no. Let me explain. I purchased Grand Theft Auto 5 on Steam. I then received Grand Theft Auto San Andreas for free in the launcher. If I go to Steam and search for Grand Theft Auto San Andreas in the Steam store, nothing shows and I only have the opition to buy the game.1 point

There are several of us even older than that. I recall a thread where many of us chimed in. .....I'm in my fifties myself.1 point

Just remember. 1st Week of the new update. "SOME" Players where disconnecting on purpose at the end of their delivery to keep their product at full. So R* SPRUNG to action a week later, (Another patch in one week) and made it so everyone suffers if theres a disconnect. And now everyone loses their product. But... When it comes to camps not spawning and animals not spawning. R* ain't in not hurry to fix that.1 point

The wagon holds 5 large animals (cougars, bucks, & whatnot) a bunch of pelt as Simon mentioned. My opinion, I don’t use it to store fish since Cripps doesn’t accept fish for the trader role. Best part is you won’t lose any carcasses or pelt if you get disconnected. You can also dismiss your wagon without worrying about losing your cargo. Once you put a carcass or pelt in the wagon, just dismiss it & go back to hunting on horseback. So you don’t waste time driving the slow wagon around. I use the wagon as a storage unit.1 point

Most definitely. They said as much in a recent interview regarding expansion of roles and the introduction of new ones .....also properties, etc.1 point

.....just remember that the forum isn't about self promoting YT channels, websites, etc.1 point

You can take part in all three roles at the same time. To become a trader, all you have to do is go to the post office and pick up th he letter from Cripps. Then locate him on you map and go meet with him. It will cost you 15 gold to start it up unless you're a PS4 player. To become a collector you have to find and talk to Madam Nazar. She can be hard to find since she's in a different location every day. When you do find her, buy a collector's bag for 15 gold unless you play GTA online and collected those playing cards. I would also recommend buying a shovel from her asap so you can dig up the collectibles buried in the ground. It is $350 for the shovel.1 point

and once you get the fishing rod you can fish all night and make some good money.1 point

Yeah. At first I didn't know what was going on. I thought it was one of those new dynamic events where a random dog shows up and points you to a collectible. It wasn't until zi got the prompt that my camp was under attack that I realized it was my dog. I don't remember what happened on the way back to camp. I think he followed me. It wasn't that far.1 point

Day and night last the same, just use nights to stay in towns cleaning guns, visiting stables, replenishing from post offices, feeding/cleaning horse, selling to butcher and fence and crafting at fires, and dont do any of these during daytime so you have all tasks waiting for you at night1 point

Yeah forgot to add that part. Maybe with standard wagon it only lets you do 25/100 regardless. I don't own any upgraded wagons so couldn't test it. So essentially I would still have 75/100 goods to deliver at camp. Thanks for clearing it up I appreciate it1 point
-
Just go to your campsite bro it's the little blue icon on the map you'll find cripps there walk up to the butcher table and redo the mission. Took me a whole day to figure that out1 point

You can make "Potent Snake Oil" with your Indian Tobacco as well as "Special Snake Oil". For selling horses, you can only sell your horses that are in the stables, so if you want to sell the one you're riding, you need to swap to another horse first and sell the other one when it's in a stall. Then you can buy your third horse. You can have three horses - two in the stable, and one that's under your butt.1 point

LOTS of Big Game Meat... I set up a camp in the swamp and it took approx. 25 big game to go from underweight to overweight... after each eating session, talk to cribbs in camp and enter wilderness outfitters then back out as the game treats this as a "save"... same for fast travel, completing a stranger mission, hideout, ambush etc... best to get a save in after all the effort1 point

I created a map you can download of animal location & a bunch of other stuff. The map shows wolf locations. It's not a complete map, just what Moosh89 & I have found. If you want to avoid wolves, just stay South of Emerald Ranch in the Lemoyne area. Haven't seen wolves down there. You can download the map in this topic, v5 is the latest version.1 point

Here's another tip. Conserve deadeye by using it in short spurts. Shut deadeye off when you don't have a target immediately in your sights that you can lock on to.1 point
-
If you want to make deadeye last longer, the two best cards for that are unblinking eye and eye for an eye. Unblinking eye(blue card) slows down deadeye and eagle eye drains and eye for an eye(green card) restores some of the outer deadeye ring for every headshot kill. Also make and eat lots of thyme big game meat. That will give you a gold deadeye core.1 point

When you purchase quick travel for your camp does it also apply to any temporary posse members?1 point
-
I do. I lasso, hogtie and loot. Then look for a gator, cliff, or body of water (doesn't have to be deep). You can even be creative-- hide in the bushes and rope them as they ride by. Even better, use a machete, throwing knife, tomahawk or other melee weapon. It's good practice. So I don't think Rockstar would put a high priority on that.1 point

i forgot to say , your in-game Control settings for your controllers should be set at max look / aim sensivity , low dead eye look zone , and wide auto-aim lock on1 point

You can only save 3 custom made outfits (outfits that you create yourself) to your horse cargo. In addition to those, you can also save 2 pre-made outfits (complete outfits that you buy from the catalogue) if you have the "upgraded saddle bags."1 point

@lumper As previously stated, catching fish gains you "Health XP" towards your maximum health. I don't recall the exact amounts, as this was one of the 1st things I did when I started playing in November, but it's something along the lines of: +10 for small fish, +20 for medium fish and +30 for large fish. You will see an indicator on the right side of the screen, with the health icon and the amount of XP gained. If you are already at max health, then you will not see these indicators. In game, Press the Menu button and click on "Player", then click on the tab for your character, to access your character sub-menu... click either Health, Stamina or Dead Eye and go to "Progression"... It will tell you what activities you can do to increase your outer rings to their max level. Health: Fist fights, bow shots, FISHING and other physical strength related activities. Stamina: Performing strenuous activities such as sprinting or swimming. Dead Eye: Trick shots, hunting, crafting and other survivalist activities.1 point

This doesn't help, but I feel your pain. I had to make a large run to Valentine Station over the weekend. Was attacked by a human posse on arrival, fought them off but went back to the cart in a hurry (before they respawned), raced to the delivery point (all of 100yds away) and got the darned cart stuck between the fast travel post and the station fence. Was wedged about 2m from the yellow delivery zone. Lost the lot.0 points
