  3. Snakes definitely poison you. Perhaps a poison arrow too. In story I recall trying to use a health cure to cure it as it has ginseng in it but it didn't seem to work. Only sure way I know of is to eat a ginseng herb from your satchel, so in Online, I always keep ginseng on me.

  6. First, please forgive me if I am missing something. But, to my knowledge there is no way to perform a mercy kill on an animal that has been shot but is only slowly bleeding out. If you do nothing, the animal will eventually die, but only after it has lingered for several minutes, moaning and thrashing, and your upset wife and daughter leave the room and don't want to speak to you anymore because of your heartless cruelty and lack of compassion for pixels. And I have to admit, I hate waiting around and listening to the slow death, as well. Or, you can shoot them again or stab them to finish them off quickly and end the "horror". But my experience has been that either option almost always results in a decrease in the quality of the pelt or carcass afterward. Like hell, am I letting that happen. So, is it just me? Am I missing some method of Mercy Killing that would keep the women in my home from looking at me as if I am a monster and at the same time preserve the quality of the kill? If so, please share. My marriage may depend on it. If not, has anyone seen anything from R* as to why it isn't a feature in the game? It seems to me to be something that should have been included from the beginning. Thoughts?

  7. It was either updating my AMD graphics driver or switching to Vulkan from DX12. I made both changes after closing out once, so couldn't say if it was one, the other, or a combination of the two.

  8. Have you reported this to Rockstar? RDR2.org is a fan page, not an official Rockstar site so its not granted Rockstar Devs even read stuff on here. If not reported, heres the link for it: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadonline/feedback?redirect_lang=en_us Before i dropped SLI i was running nvidia surround in triple wide to play games as you, and i found wsgf.org (Widescreen Gaming Forum) to be my top site to find solutions and fixes for triple wide issues, there are modders and some devs there that can makes fixes for some of this stuff. Check it out and ask in the forum there also if someone knows a fix or workaround. Good luck!

  9. Every...single....time...I've restrained and waited to shoot, it's cost us. They shoot the horse or the wagon with incendiaries. Automatic $225 loss to the wagons owner. So new s.o.p., kill everyone. And leave someone behind to slow their respawn and pursuit. Usually means shooting their horse. Better to lose $4 than $225 or $112 for escorts.

  12. I have had my fair share of complaints when it comes to other players. I think this all boils down to two things... Players are getting bored and Rockstar didn't manage online properly. I know their aim was to have conflict online and gang wars but not everyone wants to play like that all the time. Like most of the time, I just want to chill and hunt or fish, maybe take out some hideouts. I seldom look to actually interact with other gangs since I mostly play by myself or with one or two other people.

  13. Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC Update – Nov. 16, 2019 Created November 17, 2019Updated November 17, 2019 Print Share We have identified several ongoing issues some players are experiencing on specific machine configurations and are currently working to resolve them. While this is not a comprehensive list, we have identified the group of key remaining issues below as high priority problems that we are working to resolve in future updates targeted to release starting early next week. Crashes on Start Up We have identified several crashes as the game is booting related to certain settings configurations. We are currently testing fixes for these issues to implement as soon as possible. Crashes After Start Up In the last update we were able to fix instances where players reported their performance degraded over time. While this fix helped many players, it also highlighted other undiscovered crashes in certain circumstances that we are now addressing. "Mouse Cursor" Issues Some players using the Epic Games Launcher are experiencing issues with their mouse cursor. We’ve identified the root cause of this issue and will address it in the upcoming update. Until then, please follow the steps here to resolve the issue: https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/360038700293/ Settings Greyed out In order to implement certain workarounds related to ongoing issues, we have temporary delayed the accessibility of the settings menu. We will work to restore regular functionality in a future update. In the meantime, the setting options will be available after 120 seconds. Framerate Stuttering Some players have been experiencing intermittent frame rate stuttering despite powerful GPUs. We’re working closely with Nvidia to eliminate the remainder of these issues. Framerate Affecting Core Drain A small number of players are experiencing an issue where their framerate is altering how their cores drain. GPU Drivers Please note that many players are using older GPU drivers which have not been updated to support Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC. 14. He showed up AGAIN! I hogtied him and was riding off to find somewhere interesting to take him......and was spotted by a random NPC and instantly ‘kidnapping’ appeared and the law was after me. I lost them but just dumped him in the swamp to be rid of him. He haunts me he does.

  15. This should have been a no-brainer for the PC but apparently Rockstar thinks otherwise. Rather than scrolling through reams of dialogue within the menu to try and decipher it all (and many things aren’t included anyways) would be nice to simply include on-screen key mapping.

  16. "Clearing path" 😂😂 Yes. Exactly. don't understand what they are thinking. i was fishing alone & suddenly get killed from this group. I respawn & pull out my dynamite arrow & shoot the wagon. Then realized they were delivering wagon mission. Well, that is what they get for messing up for no reason.

  17. IMO the griefers are not the problem. The person in charge of RD O is.. Hes the REAL griefer. (Wonder if hes the same dumbass in charge of GTA O) Auto aim, Player blips on Radars, Unbalanced Ability Cards, Tonics, Explosive Ammo/Dynamite Arrows when combined with HOSTILE interactions between players is the issue. The game is backwards.. and has been since day one. In terms of pvp, this game is a joke. I don't mind getting killed by players. But even my dog could roll over my controller while sleeping and magically get a kill on a player. Meaning any idiot can kill anyone.. All pvp encounters turn into tonic chugging, ability cards spamming, explosive ammo auto aim fests. And that is R* fault..

  19. Yikes! This sounds like a pretty big issue. I know they are struggling to keep up with everyone's problems but I hope things do get fixed sooner rather than later, especially pretty bad bugs like this. It really sucks the fun out of games.

  20. Also saw an article about this from PC Gamer this morning. Thanks a lot @Anteronoid. It's appreciated that some are going out of their way to research and share potential solutions to these problems with the RDR2.org community. This is what it's all about IMO.

  22. good luck storing 50 pelts on your horse without a disconnect.... the hunting wagon also will hold 50 pelts but at least you don't lose them with the inevitable rockstar error

  23. Twice this weekend, I was just standing in my camp when the white flag went down by itself and my status was changed to Offensive. Reason stated was that I had acted offensively. But I was just standing in my camp. Nothing else. No gun drawn. No other player anywhere nearby. Nothing. Status and flag changed on their own for no reason. Between disconnects that cause all progress made during a session to be lost, to other problems, to this new camp bug, the game is very discouraging these days.

  24. You've got a knife, right? Just off the top of my head.... You can kill someone and steal their money. You can trample on fish in the shallows of rivers and collect them in the water or as they wash up on shore. You can get up close and kill animals in a pen on farms. Obviously, some of those actions come with consequences of their own. .....or how about this.... Pick herbs and sell them to the doc / shop. There's plenty of them and you can get enough money to buy some ammo so you can hunt. Build up your ammo next time and keep an eye on it.

  25. I looked up ps4 controller buttons. I think LB (on Xbox) is L1 for (ps4) & RB is R1. Everyone starts with the cattlemen revolver, you should be able to test it with that.

  26. Some of the newer horses for the roles are pretty good, if you haven't had a chance to try them yet. Hope you find one that works for you eventually. I started the story mode with a standardbred and after bonding with her I was really happy. Not the fastest for sure but steady and great for riding across the map. I also really enjoyed the big Belgian draft for a good long while. Slow going but solid .. griefers who thought to run into us on the road were usually knocked flat out and only a shudder from my big ol' gal - LOL

  27. That is what I am waiting on. I gotta do a few upgrades. The game will run fine with what I have now but I want it to run smoother and my PC to be able to handle more games coming out later this year as well as next year. I have to make sure it can handle Doom Eternal.

  29. I’ve got my starter horse, a gray Kentucky Saddler stallion named Blue. He’s loosely named after the character Bloo from Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends combined with the fact that the gray coat looks more blue than gray. (He’s a dork.) I also have Missy, a bay frame overo Criollo mare. She got her name because “Missy” is just fun to say.

  30. Well this has certainly been a discussion, thank's for your post's info and suggestion's. I have also noticed once I have completed the daily hunting task's for Cripps the spawn rate improves. So in conclusion I have decided this is deliberate by R*, example I joined a possee of 30 & 40 Lvl players to do long distance trade run's wih them, one was a bit short of the 100 so they went hunting and they found very litte to shoot. so I tried an experiment I left the possee jumped server and with in a minute got a message from possee leader saying animal's in abundence. i am Lvl 264, so it apper's R* are nerfing it for higher Lvl player's. Nuff said.

  31. Only thing I could add to this conversation is I also don't believe that level has correlation with the animal spawns, but it's some is kind of Nerf/throttle on progress. As others stated it seems to be the server you are on. Doing a bounty and stuff does change the server (and seems my camp respawns Every 2nd bounty, except it's rarely ever where It's supposed to be but clear on the other side of the map) and puts you on a less crowded server with better spawns. On the individual level... When you are doing anything that has a timer (bounty, resupply, delivery), yep you get thrown on empty server and the animals seem to spawn at a much higher rate to distract you. I also find if I'm lingering on a server for long periods of time and have racked in the big $'s the animals disappear, Gun's get dirty quicker, rains much more and the fog is so thick you can't see. Especially right before they flash a free room invitation. Also sometimes I get charged with some random meaningless crime till I change servers. Then yesterday bounty took me from blackwater, to strawberry, through big valley, past Madam Nazar, to valentine. Darn thing took like half hour, and timer didn't go off till closed in on the dude, but I just stockpiling along the way and unloaded dupes at madam Nazar. IDK. Can't prove it but still think it's intentional on their part to get you to do other things or slow money making

  32. I do the same and it's annoying as hell. but with bigger problems such as not being able to get a camp to spawn when you desperately need to work on your Trader, and other problems oh, I have to put this annoyance into perspective and say please dear God get these other ones fixed

  33. I have noticed significant changes in animal spawns. I rode from St Denis to Van Horn and only saw a few ravens. Frogs...Gators...Turtles used to be piled up in that area. Now it looks dull and lifeless. If R* is trying to make it feel real and overhunted, kudos you did it.

  34. My character appears to me Mexican and is dressed as such read so I named my red and black Breton "Cholo Chido," which roughly translates to cool hooligan or cool gangster.

  35. This is the problem. I know a lot of people (myself included) who, just like CosmoKramer, it sounds like, run those two cards specifically to give a chance against the 'random headshotter' (to avoid the term 'griefer'). In fact, the only passive protection you have against those players is Never Without One. Bad people (AKA A$$hats) use the card because it is, all ways up, the most powerful card in the game. I really don't think it's sustainable to argue that NWO use = A$$hat player, unless you're arguing that everyone's an A$$hat. Maybe your actions are self fulfilling? If someone randomly headshots me, and knocks my hat off, I will then go after them until they're dead (usually several times, to make a point). So, we have the following scenario: - I ride somewhere in your vicinity with my usual card loadout. - you see S&S and NWO, and despite me making no hostile move, you decide I must be an A$$hat, and shoot me. - I take exception to being attacked in a random and unprovoked fashion, and come after you, guns blazing. - You feel justified in shooting me, because I'm obviously an A$$hat, you just managed to get your retaliation in first. - I feel justified in returning fire, and in using NWO, because it protects me from (apparent) A$$hats like you who will randomly headshot me while I'm minding my own business. That's no way to live.

  36. So anybody that's trying to give themselves the best chance of survival against griefers you shoot on sight? Interesting.
    1 point
  37. Yeah, the coloured blips/hostility level system doesn't work at all as blue blips can become red blips through justifiable self defence and red blips can pay to become blue blips with gold. The whole hostility system is a sad joke, it's better to go by your own judgement when another player is approaching you. When RDO first dropped I never shot anyone first no matter how shady/hostile they appeared to be but RDO is more like GTAO than RDR Multiplayer and has a mostly hostile community, there's always someone ready to dome you. Before GTAO I didn't have an opinion on tryhards but after playing GTAO for a fair few years I don't trust them or like them in the slightest and that's why the only people I shoot on sight in RDO are tryhards because they seem to be the only overly hostile/problem players for me at least, anytime I see a player with Never Without One or Slow & Steady coming my way I just shoot them. RDO's first update has been a real shitshow in my opinion so I won't have much confidence in future updates until I see a good one, I don't think the anti-griefing systems Rockstar are including in the Spring update are gonna fix the problems Rockstar want them to, I think these new systems are just gonna make for more problems but I hope I'm wrong.
    1 point
  38. I know how you feel, each of us has been through some very similar stuff. One thing I can tell you, if they shoot your horse, it sucks because you will lose your carcasses and stowed animals but thats it, you can call in another horse from the stable if you own one, or sometimes you can save your horse with revive. If you have a second horse you will be able to call it and keep fighting. Shooting your horse out from under you is a means of stopping you from escaping and from getting to your weapons, so no people dont care about the $4, although I think it should cost a lot more.
    1 point
  39. How many people can use it though? I know I can't.
    1 point
  40. Yeah, the Spring update will have even more "anti-griefing" features that could help. Something else I should mention which I don't think gets touted enough is the RDR2 iOS / Android app. You can have this running while in game and see the big map without having to switch to it on your monitor. You can zoom out / in, see some potential threats before you would on your minimap, etc. It just provides an extra level of situational awareness. You can also use it while fishing since your minimap disappears during this activity but the app will still show what's around you.
