  3. I was finding Yukon Nik a bit frustrating, seems that anything that could go wrong did - once I got to the stage of bringing him alive, I twice had the situation where I disabled him, picked him up, and when the next gang wave turned up, I dropped him, he fell on his head and died. I did like releasing the bears, though and letting them clear out the gang. I did feel a bit bad once - on one play through one of them was still in his cage at the end. I let him out and he immediately mauled a bypasser to death. Slightly embarrassing.

  4. So.. I got thru story mode. Was quite fun. Joined online... got my first mission. Caravan escort. NPCs were easy enough. Then I start getting headshotted by a player who was so far away I couldnt even see him yet. 5 times in a row. No chance to fight back. Is this what people think is fun? seriously? I quit after that. Not sure ill play again. Totally unbalanced, and not fun at all.

  6. Defensive Mode is in your Free Roam mennu you can bring up using the left D-Pad on PS4 IIRC. Scroll down to Online Options and then select Playing Style either Offensive or Defensive. As for whether a mission allows it, if you are in Defensive Mode, you will receive a warning before accepting a mission that you will be switched into Offensive Mode if you accept. If you are already in Offensive Mode (which is default when you started playing RDO), you will not receive the msg. You can also visit this menu at any time to check what mode you are currently in and your current hostility level. As outlined in an earlier post previewing some of today’s additions, this update brings the option to choose how you interact with players inside the world of Red Dead Online, via Offensive and Defensive playing styles in the Player Menu. The Offensive playing style is set as the default and is how most players traditionally interact in Free Roam – free to engage in hostile contact with other players if you are prepared to accept the potential consequences. The Defensive playing style is for those players who would rather explore the world in Free Roam than engage in conflict with others – and it’s designed to let other players know that you don’t want to tangle with them, as well as minimize opportunities for griefing. At the same time, Defensive players will not be alerted to PvP Free Roam missions and can not be pulled into them while in Defensive mode, allowing them to go about their business as freely as possible. Players in Defensive mode will be indicated by a shield icon, will take reduced damage from enemy players, cannot be lassoed, melee attacked, executed or targeted with auto-aim. Defensive players will also be excluded from being targeted in PvP-related missions such as Player Assassination. Those who attack Defensive players receive hefty penalties via the Hostility system, while players who initiate conflict while in Defensive mode will be instantly pulled out of Defensive mode and also receive similar Hostility penalties. Today’s updates also build on the player radar and visibility improvements introduced in February to create a smarter and more responsive approach to mitigating griefing behavior. The Hostility System tracks aggressive behavior across both Playing Styles, making hostile players visible to others and helping to balance the needs of players who want to get away from others who habitually attack or kill during unstructured Free Roam gameplay. As before, player blips change color - beginning dark blue and transitioning to red as their hostile play persists. A bright red blip indicates an enemy. With today’s update, players will never receive Hostility or Bounty increases for defending themselves against a player who is blipped as an enemy, or for killing high Hostility players. If a player attacks another player, they will not be marked as an enemy to everyone - but rather to the attacked player only, who will not receive a penalty for firing back. You can view your current Hostility level through the Player Menu. As you become more hostile, you become more visible on other player’s radars at longer distances and will respawn further and further away from your point of death – at the highest level of Hostility, you will respawn in a different region. Hostility increases do not apply within structured events such as Free Roam Events, Free Roam Missions, Showdowns and Races. Engaging in PvP behaviors related to Free Roam missions will not incur Hostility increases while in the Offensive playing style, however attacking other players not engaged in the activity will cause your Hostility level to rise.

  9. I'm glad you got a refund I tried and kept getting denied... I suppose I can try for a charge back to my bank account considering I didn't break their EULA the other player did, but it's not worth the hassle to me. Makes me a bit bitter towards Rockstar for letting this happen and not even trying to hear me out.

  10. A bit OT, but how long did it take to get fully refunded? And are you planning on ever playing it again on PC or just done with it entirely?

  11. My character wears all black, gathered bandana, always up, with balloon goggles and only uses a Springfield. Any of that match? Nah definitely not you. This Guy was hopeless as well. Left the lobby after I killed him a second time.

  12. Will do. Everything seems fine at the moment now, though.

  13. When Google bought it, which was back around the mid to the late 2000s, was when YouTube really started going downhill. Back then, you could upload practically anything beyond real snuff films and no one, not even copyright holders, seemed to care. Then Google bought it, copyright holders suddenly started caring because they probably realized they could easily sue a billion dollar corporation for millions in free money, and then Google began removing content wholesale.

  14. I haven't heard anything about this but now I will keep an eye out for it. I would imagine after all the issues, they want to reward players for sticking with the game.

  15. A cautionary tale. This seemed like a good idea at the time. Now....not so much.

  16. That's the key to the game's alternate ending. The rest of the hints, you have to find through a series of random videos of My Little Pony episodes I've uploaded to YouTube and various other video-sharing sites. Only then, when you've gathered all the clues, will you learn: * Why that Nigerian prince keeps contacting you * Sadie was planning on killing Abigail and taking her place Face/Off style * Tilly is the missing princess * Gavin's location * What Pearson REALLY got up to in the Navy

  17. Well, apparently there are a lot of freakshows out there, it took me forever to get a number like 9191 it would accept. Doubt it was me. I haven't been in a pvp that wasn't related to wagon defending/stealing in a looong time. Plus I absolutely hate that side of the map. I'm never over there. I hang out from tumbleweed to Valentine. And contrary to popular belief, I largely leave people alone. My character wears all black, gathered bandana, always up, with balloon goggles and only uses a Springfield. Any of that match?

  19. Who else would move your camp clear across the five states for a dollar?

  20. Me either... Nothing personal. But if I’m bored I’ll most definitely do my best to get my hands on your wagon... I expect the same from anyone I happen to shoot while passing through (kind of why I shot them in the first place)...

  21. Let's be careful about listing names here. My suggestion if anyone does have information on the individual(s) is to contact R* Support via their site. Their is a specific way to report players and / or groups there. Also, you can bring up your ban and request they review your case. Personally, I would use the route of creating a trouble ticket regardless as there is no other way to plead your case apparently. ......unless someone knows a phone #?

  22. Sorry, the glitching solo lobbies isn’t even the biggest gripe I have with your stance... But it’s continually calling the legitimate conflict built into the game griefing and harassment. If you don’t want to take the risk, take the smaller reward. If you do take the risk and someone gets you, they’re not out just to harass you or grief. I’m not saying there isn’t griefing in the game, because there is. And yes, your cheating does have an effect on others. It’s giving you an unfair advantage in receiving larger rewards without taking the risks in the game... Kind of like stealing money from the Monopoly bank to cover rent because you feel like the other players are harassing you when you land on Boardwalk and are asked to pay up.... Not to mention, if people keep exploiting glitches, developers spend extra time trying to address glitches and less time developing new content...

  23. I keep checking to see if they put the game on Steam yet, still nothing. I am thinking because of the issues they may not release it till near the end of the month in December, possible not even till January, we will see. I'm not bothered. Did you get a refund? Is this the flat rate for all games? I mean that is a HUGE chunk of money.

  24. Thanks guys. Yeah I am going to try to get a black friday deal. Her birthday is on the 30th but she is going out of town with her sister since they are both turning 30 this year (twins). Works out for me because she will be leaving the wednesday before thanksgiving and won't be back till the 1st. We are going to celebrate her birthday the following saturday (the 7th) so assuming I can find a deal and either buy it in store or order it online and it comes on time, that will be great.

  25. I recommend just keeping an eye out, especially with "black Friday" coming up, you might find a great deal on one. There are also quite a few Wacom units on the used market, and used Wacom in good shape is usually a good bet, just the normal precautions apply as for any used electronics. The great deals are out there, you just have to be persistent and ready to move on it when you find it.

  26. It wasn't. It became an issue when the roles were introduced likely because so many are trying to use the feature now. I'll wager the problem isn't due to some bug but simply a flaw in the logic / design that the new content has made much more apparent.

  27. Honestly, it varied from year to year. Sometimes it'd be sausage/bacon, eggs, hash browns etc. Sometimes it was Pancakes, waffles, or French toast. Or sometimes it'd be something different like a croissant sandwich with cheese, egg, and ham. It depended on what pop's wanted to make.

  28. I'm not concerned with how they operate their departments within the company. I'm the end user, all I care about is that the product I paid for works properly. If you buy a new Honda car, and it runs great but the seats suck, you don't say "Honda's drivetrain department did great but their interior division needs help". No.... You say "Honda needs to fix these seats" Well, "rockstar" needs to fix their glitches.
