Yeah, it's not like a cougar/panther attack where with those, if you have decent health, you can survive the initial attack, throw it off you and shoot it in the head as it's charging in for the follow up attack. If a grizzly gets a hold of you, you're done! Too bad there isn't a defense mechanism built in, so that if it gets you, you pull out your knife and stab it or something, giving you time to recover and shoot it albeit at the cost of damaging the pelt.

I find it funny how black bears are labeled as red dot predators in this game, but I've never had one not run away from me when it appears, unlike grizzlies that put you immediately on the menu as soon as you're spotted.

She counts as an escort mission(when it's not an ambush), not a rescue mission.

I think I've found a good spot for vultures. The last time we had to do that one, I was riding north from Armadillilo following the rail and spotted 2 vultures perched atop telephone poles along side the tracks. I lobby hopped, followed the same path and got my third. I look for my prairie chickens in the Heartlands between Valentine and Emerald Ranch. For the horse jumping, I found a good spot climbing the water tower by the tracks just south of Van Horne. Park your horse on the tracks, climb up the tower and leap off onto your horse. Easy peasy. I can think of 5 locations in Lemoyne that I cycle between until one pops up. There's the gator lady in Blue Water Marsh, the lady who has been captured by Lemoyne Raiders also in BW Marsh that needs to be brought to her husband camped on the Kamassa. The captured black man north of Rhodes who needs to be brought to the Rhodes sheriff. There's 2 in Saint Denis. The one who needs to be rescued in the cemetary and the one who needs to be rescued in the back allies behind the gunship. There's also another guy near the beaver dam on the Kamassa that needs to be rescued from an ambush and brought just outside of Saint Denis.

Never had that happen to me. I have had to fight for my right to ride a train after getting picked off while riding atop one of the cars and having to catch up and jump on-board. I've since learned to ride on the inside of one of the cars.

We need the update to get here just so that we have something to talk about again. This place is a ghost town now. The last post here was 9 hours ago.😲

The gold bonuses stack. I was getting 1 gold for every daily completed just now. I got all 7 of today's done.😎

I can't complain about the gold bonus. I'm already raking in .5 gold for each daily completed thanks to my streak, any more on top of that is gravy.

Yeah, the cougar did go after the hogtied NPC. I don't remember if he used predator bait or not. I have also personally witnessed cougars chasing after NPCs on horseback as they are passing through the area.

Are Mausers better than semi automatics? I've been using those. The damage sucks, but the lightning fast fire rate and pinpoint precision makes up for it. I have Mausers but have never used them, they were just something to spend my money on. I'm mainly just interested in PvE.

I too think that the update is more likely to hit closer to mid Sept than today. I'm a little bored with it myself. I still log on every day to do at least 1 daily to keep the streak alive( it's currently over 90 days). I have over 100 gold and over $2700. In the last few days I've actually gotten back into SP mode. I started over from the beginning since I had only gotten to chapter 3 by the time online came out and I abandoned it.

I know someone who would hogtie NPCs and use them as live bait to attract cougars.

^This. PVP is rampant with cheaters. The only time I'll take part now is to complete the daily challenges that are involved with it. There are some days when I'll just say screw it and skip those. I'm sick of repeaters, and even worse, the varmint rifle, seemingly having the range of a sniper rifle and being able to headshot me with pinpoint precision from great distances sometimes even through cover. They draw and fire faster than me and hit their head shot everytime, whereas my head shot attempts often hit them high in the chest or neck. Don't even get me started on the overpowered, overused slippery bastard!

So in other words, nothing new today? It's just a rehash of last week's sh*t?🤬

As for the chickens, I did have a little trouble. It took several trips back and forth across the Heartlands before I spotted the 3 I needed simultaneously flying overhead.

The best story mission for payout seems to be "Where your morals lead you". It's the one at Mananita post where the encourage you to use a bow for stealth kills. For best stranger mission, the "On the hunt" missions always seem to have the best payout.

No issues here. Plenty of animals to kill on my end.

When the summer update gets here, one of the features for the trader is going to be the ability to upgrade your satchel, do that should include being able to carry more stuff in it.

A waste of resources imo. I don't even like to use express or high velocity ammo because you can't replace it in between matches, only regular ammo. I only use explosive ammo when defending myself against other players in free roam or player assassination missions and maybe explosive shotgun slugs during on the hunt missions.

In free roam, at Flatneck station there's a pen with 5 pigs in it. Easy pickins!😉

Trying to get a perfect pelt for on the hunt missions is pointless. You can't sell the pelt. It disappears after you bring it to its destination. You won't get any more money delivering a perfect pelt/carcass. Because of this, I dispatch the animal as quickly as possible, usually with explosive shotgun slugs.

I believe you're well over level 100 aren't you? I am as well and imo, after level 100, xp means nothing other than getting to the next treasure map level. I'd rather have the gold. I'm working on a streak in the 70's myself. Eventually it's going to have to come to an end but in the meantime I want to squeeze as much gold out of it as I possibly can.
