  1. Yeah, sorry. I guess I didn't mention platforms. Yes, PS4. It came out last year. Not really my cup of tea but the coop portions are kinda fun and I did enjoy the campaign although I usually don't buy these titles because the campaigns are so short and on rails. We really want to play more of the Spec Ops coop missions which are kinda fun. We just need people we know instead of just being paired with randoms.
  2. Couple things.... Their Support appears to be tiered and yes, the initial contact does seem to be from a support center. Not uncommon in a lot of businesses. They operate from scripts which is why folks get common responses and only know what they are fed. Updates the company feeds them can also can get overlooked at times by some reps / supervisors depending on how good these centers are. Unfortunately, you also get some reps who are absolutely clueless and others that seem to have at least some basic grasp on troubleshooting. It used to be that you could get things escalated quite quickly but ever since PC release their Cust Support has suffered greatly. In regard to gambling / poker, R* knew darn well what they were doing and the hurdles in this regard. The issues you are experiencing so far seem to be relatively isolated. I hadn't heard anything about a widespread problem in this regard. .....not yet at least. Also, considering what they've done in GTAO with the Casino, I'm guessing expanding gambling in RDO wouldn't be an issue and who knows, perhaps they will. To be honest, I don't even know how they got away with it in GTAO considering you can buy in-game cash with real money. At least in RDO, GBs are essentially separate from the cash. Either way it appears they felt quite confident they had the conflict of interest concerns licked.
  3. Ok.... Wasn't looking for a critique on the game but thanks. 😄 This was more to find folks who are interested in coop to see if they want to play together.
  4. Anyone playing CoD:MW and if so, do you folks play the Special Operations / co-op missions? I have a friend who bought the game and although I liked the direction they were going with some things, it was still a CoD, twitch shooter to me. ....but I broke down, bought it and started playing when we would get together every other week for 2-3 nights. Anyhow, the co-op really is more interesting to me and while you can do the classic co-op with just two people or solo, you can't do the Special Ops as it requires 4 people. ....and that's the rub. Pairing up with randoms in CoD really sucks. I thought RDR2 could be bad but CoD is so much worse. No team players or they are just downright annoying. Just wondering if folks here enjoy the game and if they are into the co-op aspects. If so, maybe they wouldn't mind joining up with us some time. We also enjoy the Kill Confirmed PvP matches more than others but really would like to get into Spec Ops with like-minded folks that can communicate, work and have fun together. EDIT: Were on PS4.
  5. I drink my coffee black and my tea plain. ......even teas like Irish Breakfast I take without milk, sugar or lemon. As long as both are of decent quality, I have no problem drinking them straight but again, they need to be decent.
  6. .....please don't spam/multi-post. Thanks.
  7. .....thanks for the sanity check. I've been with the game since day one too but haven't been on for a while after the spawn issues. ....although that looks like its finally on its way to being sorted out.
  8. Before the last update I recall having to slow down to equip my hat if I lost it. That msg doesn't sound familiar though. .....maybe Im just remembering it wrong.

  10. Well, this is OT and as long as you don't mind putting it out there, I (personally) don't see a need to remove it. .......unless someone decides to get too preachy and things get heated.
  11. I don't know how much more specific I can be. Perhaps it's the language barrier. Currently, the only way you can block players is through the Playstation Network (PSN). It even gives you the option in the game when you select the player from the list of those in your session. HOWEVER, there is no guarantee that blocking someone via PSN will prevent you from being matched with them in the game. ....so, I would use the in-game reporting feature if they are doing something they are not supposed to and block them for good measure. With all that said, the consensus is "no", there is no way to block people from being matched with you in Free Roam. The only reason I mention that it might is because I've seen replies from Sony saying that it should so I suggest people do it anyway. Not sure how much clearer I can make that but hope it helps.
  12. As @The_Liquor mentioned, the game won't play online if you don't. ....at least not in PS4 and I believe that would be the same for XB1. On PS4 you can also click options in the game tile to see if there is an update available. That was the case before IIRC. I recall always having to be stopped or traveling quite slow to change outfits for instance.
  13. I know you can block players through the PSN network but I don't believe that has anything to do with being matched with them in games. However, I had heard conflicting information from Sony on this. All I can say is that I always block players who I had bad experiences with in RDO (after reporting them) and never had run-ins with them again after that. Now, whether that means the block worked or it was simply chance, I don't know. Other than that, there is no way to prevent being matched with the same people again that I know of. The PSN block will also ensure that these people can't follow you, be part of your communities, send you msgs, etc. so depending on your situation, that could still help.
  14. I dunno..... I've made some very good friends on PS that have lasted a long time. We still game together when new games come out, keep in touch, etc.
  15. Just to clarify once again..... In the 1.17 TU, R* said that they had tried to address the animal spawn issue in regard to some scenarios but are still working toward a fix for all. What this means is that some may not see an improvement while perhaps some others do. .....and yeah, I'd image some may even perceive things as being worse but I think the take-away from all this is that they know about it and also have acknowledged the fact that it's still not fixed. I still haven't seen any official patch notes from R* on 1.18 but some sources only mention "Performance and stability improvements" while others like the one linked mentioned the other items being addressed. .......but even so, they are relatively vague points and again, not necessarily suggestive of fixes for particular issues people are having.
  16. Sorry Shak.... You might want to look into some of the posse threads and see if there is one that tickles your fancy. Unfortunately, it seems some of those groups only join community forums like these to post their recruitment threads and really don't feel a desire to otherwise get involved with our members. ....a sort of tunnel vision with anything outside of their own interests / threads. There are some active members with groups as well so personally, I would hit them up first. The thing is, a lot of folks seems to be cooling their heels right now due to some of the issues R* is working on in regard to the animal spawns, etc. A couple title updates released yesterday and today so if things look like they are on the mend, I suspect folks will start getting more involved again.
  17. There is a locker option in RDO but unfortunately, none in the campaign as far as I'm aware.
  18. I haven't seen the official patch notes from a R* direct source / link yet but here is what it is said to include by other sites like UpdateCrazy (https://updatecrazy.com/rdr2-update-1-18-patch-notes-read-what-is-new-and-fixed/). I will post the official notes once available or if someone else could link to them that would be great: RDR2 update 1.18 patch notes Addressed stuttering and lag issues. Addressed crashing issues. Fixed framerate drop issues. Performance and stability improvements. Added some minor under the hood fixes. RDR2 update 1.18 is now available for download on PS4 and Xbox One.
  19. Yeah, not saying it doesn't suck. Hell, I stopped playing weeks ago mostly due to it. I also think it should have been addressed much faster than they have. ....I understand the deep disappointment and bitterness some feel. I'm just glad many here continue to share their input, workarounds, etc. as it helps others also dealing with this problem affecting their gameplay. There's nothing wrong with venting either but (personally) unless someone from R* were here, I don't see the point carrying on about it beyond a certain point. Everyone is essentially in the same boat. That's just my own, personal feelings about it though. Some will disagree.
  20. Fyi.... There's nothing about dynamic events in the patch notes. Just talks about the animal spawns and possibly fixing the issue for some. .....we'll have to see what future patches will do to (hopefully) correct the issue for everyone.
  21. btw, I included this TU info in the Animal Spawn thread as well as that is really all this patch is for (to partially fix for some). I'm leaving this here for now as I think it's important that folks know what the patch was for. When I get to computer I'll add the date to the title like the updates so it's more visible to people. .....and then I'll add it to the sticky, update reference. Thanks to you and @HuDawgfor making us aware of it
  22. Here is some news @HuDawg mentioned in another thread I thought I would paste up here as well. Please note that this patch is not a fix for all with this issue. This is supposed to address it for some. Who those people are or the circumstances is unknown. If there is any good news in this for those still having the problem is that they are aware it is still an issue and are working to resolve across all platforms. I'm just saying this before some people start making accusations, assumptions, etc. We're all affected by this and it sucks. No one is saying otherwise. ....so let's keep sharing useful feedback, tips and help each other out. Thanks. 23. Here is exactly what was mentioned in the 1.17 TU patch notes so there is no misunderstanding in regard to the animal spawn "fixes". Its obvious that this is still a work in progress. 24. Thanks. Here are the details for anyone not willing to check the link or otherwise unable. In all fairness, they didn't say they expected this to fix the issue comoletely. They do mention certain sessions and that they are still working on it. I just want to make that clear so we don't get a flood of complaints from folks thinking they said otherwise: RDR2 Title Update 1.17 Notes (PS4 / Xbox One) Created February 13, 2020Updated February 13, 2020 Print Share [February 13, 2020] – General Fixes – (PS4 / Xbox One) Improvements to reduce issues with ambient wildlife populations in certain Red Dead Online sessions.
