Answer: We are aware of player reports of low animal counts in Red Dead Online while playing in certain sessions. We are currently working on a fix and will provide an update as soon as we have more information. No problem. Thanks. I believe that was what it was called. Either way you'll know when you see it in the list. It is obviously regarding griefing. On PS4 I also block them just in case so they can't send msgs, follow me, etc.

Oh, I understand now. ....yeah, 50 cents isn't much and to be honest, I'm disappointed that they reduced the amount of time a griefer will remain "red", etc. I think the bounties should be higher and they should stick with them for a lot longer. If they are truly doing it for PvP action, then they shouldn't mind being a target for other players themselves. If they are just doing it to bully others, then who cares. .....they deserve it. Pressing charges is pretty much worthless IMO but I would do it anyway although I rarely have opportunities to do so since I am usually able to avoid those situations. As for reporting players, I'd suggest using the reporting feature. There is a selection for "disruptive behavior" and that report goes to R*. I'd imagine if they were to take any action it would be based on how many for these reports they receive about the person(s) in question and by how many.

Their messages? ....not sure I follow. Pressing charges increases the attackers bounty but this doesn't apply to missions at least where the player is forced into Offensive Mode IIRC. I believe the bounty is 50 cents and I don't think it lasts very long at all. For Defensive Mode players, the parlay and protections the mode provides are much more useful IMO.

I appreciate that. The expectation that the fix was incoming days ago was based on an assumption from a response. Obviously, it didn't come with the Tuesday bonuses and such. Those don't usually come with patches anyhow so it wasn't surprising. IMO, folks should simply take this exchange at face value. If true, then they are working on it. We don't have a date though so anything suggesting when it's coming out is purely speculation at this point. Personally, I wouldn't get your hopes up until there is something official.

....so again, are you trying to log on with 2 different accounts from two different machines then? ....two people playing (one on the main account and the other on the ALT)? I have 4 accounts myself and play on all of them (PS4). .....not on RDR2 though as I never really had the need to.

I'll tell you what.... I'm going to move this to the Troubleshooting section as that was created for discussions about issues with RDR2 and would be more appropriate IMO. We'll see about the sticky.

Sorry about that.... There are protections in place to help mitigate issues with spammers, trolls and those who otherwise have "less than honest intentions" when joining our community. As inconvenient as these restrictions may seem when creating a new account, they are unfortunately necessary to help keep RDR2.org a pleasant experience for all of our community members.

The animal spawn issue is a widely known one and has been a problem for many since the last big update. As Dave pointed out, RDR2.org is not affiliated in any way with R*. As for us removing content, as long as it's within the rules of the forum, I see no reason for anyone to censor you if that's what you're worried about. .....so, if you wish to stay and participate as a community member, you're more than welcome. If this was your second and last post, then I'm not sure what else to say other than good luck. @DiamondDave, Thanks. I moved this to online although it could also fit in PC since this is a unique issue for that platform. ......hacking and modding.

Hi @White Bear and welcome to the forums. This is a known issue that has become a problem for many after the last big update. I have moved your thread to the master thread on the subject. Hopefully you can find some answers in here as well and others will likely chime in to help as well. We're all hoping R* gets this fixed though.

Agreed..... Right, wrong or indifferent, randoms interacting with you during deliveries, player bounties, etc. are simply playing the game as designed. That's not griefing. ......indiscriminate killing and harassing of other players while not participating in those kinds of missions is.

He's on PC. People are using mods / hacks to grief players and it's apparently out of control to some extent on that platform.

Yeah, but in my case it's because I changed my MTU settings on my PS4 to force me into solo sessions. ......btw, what was this thread about again?

Hi Cod and welcome to the forums. I don't have an answer for you unfortunately but hopefully someone else will and chime in. I'm guessing you're trying to play with your main and alt acct on two different systems at the same time?

Question..... If you don't know what it does, then why are you looking to use it. ....why did you buy it? Just curious. Valerian root is typically used for sleep disorders. IIRC, it's similar to a sedative to help you get a better night's rest, etc. I recall that some also used it for anxiety and other mental health issues but I really don't know how effective it is for those or even for sleep disorders for that matter. Personally, my recommendation is to talk to your doctor whenever taking something new like this that could have side effects / interactions or even negatively affect your health if you have other issues or take too much. No offense to anyone here who might respond, but I wouldn't take something your unfamiliar with like this based off of what someone says in a forum.

I have no problem with Free Roam either as I believe they've done a decent job at mitigating the griefer issue at least on console. What some fail to understand is that you still need to be proactive in your approach to activities, around randoms, etc. I'm not sayin it's perfect but then again, R* continues to tweak it and so far, I have been happy with the direction they are going with RDO. .....way different than GTAO in this regard. RDO never did follow those footsteps nor did it turn into the apocalyptic mess some had been continually predicting since the beta. I'm not necessarily against private lobbies but I also have concerns that the addition could change the role of Free Roam in the game. ......like becoming more of a PvP affair with possibly certain anti-griefing features being removed or new ones added that favor PvP, etc. Also, if they use GTAO as a model, players won't be able to access a good portion of activities, business or roles, etc. while in private sessions. If they continued with the current vision of Free Roam while adding a private option, I guess I'd be fine with that. Also, I said it before and I'll say it again, but if R* simply fixed some of the more current, glaring issues (e.g. animals spawns, disconnects, camp issues, etc.), I think most would be quite happy with that. Hell, if they simply fixed the animal spawns I'd wager there would be a lot less animosity flowing around here.

Don't know what to say. They were bountiful whenever I was in a solo session with just myself or with friend(s).

Are you talking about how your character drops the pelt you're carrying? .....because if that's what your talking about, then all you have to do is pick it up again. I also discovered that if I made sure my hands were empty before I started skinning, I didn't notice the problem. ....or is this something entirely new where you can't skin them at all, etc.?

Level has nothing to do with it in my case. .....I'm lvl 80 something and hardly any animals spawn. Also, regarding the bounties you choose, your choice may also boil down to what region you want to spawn so you'll figure out which ones you might prefer over others. ....there is more than one. I'd also check out the Owlhoot one Dragon mentioned (thanks for that). My friend and I had to experiment a bit since we weren't too sure ourselves at first (he forgot at the time and I had no clue).
