Hi @Kaedstar, As Moosh mentioned, this is a fan site not affiliated with R* or 2K. However, since R* doesn't host their own official forums, fan sites like ours are all there are for players to gather as a community and share ideas, tips/tricks, problems, experiences and simply to engage in discussions about various topics regarding the game. btw, the feedback site is limited to 500 characters per submission on your feedback so you'll likely need to break down your list and enter them piecemeal. There's no limit on what you can submit so feel free to go nuts. I've done my fair share myself. Welcome to the forums and we hope you stick around. I think you'll like it here.

You're absolutely right. There is a lot more to the RDO game world although some tend to over simplify what "PvE'ers" want as just picking herbs and a hunting simulator. That's a part of it but not what I want at all. To me, that's just being dismissive and not conducive to an open, honest and constructive discussion on the topic. Nor is the suggestion for folks to go play another game or that their opinion doesn't matter. Personally, I really liked the campaign and I don't see NPC engagements as brainless encounters. If others do, that's fine but I like clearing gang hideouts, random rescues, ambushes, missions, etc. where you have to battle NPCs. I really enjoy the coop in RDO as that is something that wasn't offered in the campaign. I also agree with @The_Liquor that I wish conflicts between players in Free Roam made more sense. IMO, it would be more fun that way and perhaps even give me a reason to engage with randoms. These new classes might open the door to something like that. I also like the direction R* has taken this game. The new defense and offensive modes give players an opportunity for a little more flexibility in their choice of play style. It's not a "cheat", it's a choice in a "one size fits all" game mode. Personally, I respect that some don't like these changes but I appreciate them. ....even with their flaws that I hope will get ironed out as time progresses.

I'm curious too and kind of excited about those upcoming additions.

It was a bug but it was supposed to have been addressed in the last update. I would submit a ticket to R* Support: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadonline/feedback?redirect_lang=en_us

Yes, please report it. THe only way R* will recognize this issue is if people submit trouble tickets. I know this is a general PS4 error but most of us here haven't experienced this problem until after the last update. .....and whether it is a Sony issue or R*, it still affects their game. In my case, it's the only game that is affected by this currently on my system.

The bad news is that this is a bug that occurred after the last update. The good news is that R* is apparently aware of it and is working on a solution. Ok..... 45 minutes into my gamin session tonight and I got the error code again. My case is still open so I reported it again to Support. CRAP!!!!

Yeah, it was in an article from R* at some point. I just don't recall which one but I remember reading about it. This is one of those mechanics in the game that seem like it's tribal knowledge. I wish all of these types of things were documented in a manual, FAQ or similar.

Wow..... When I opened this thread about your long journey to lvl 100, I was expecting a much longer post in classic Lumper style. 😁 On a serious note, I would also urge new players to download the RDR2 app for their phone, tablet or other iOS / Android device. .....assuming your device is compatible. The app allows you to view the big map on your device which makes it easier to plot paths, check you waypoints, etc. You can also view the map on the device when you're fishing. .....you can't see your minimap on the screen during this activity so you're essentially blind without it. It helps when evading people, spotting "red blips" and is generally useful in that you don't have to open the main map on your screen as often which can sometimes leave you exposed. All of the icons, blips,etc. you would see on your in-game map on your main screen you will see in the app.

Well, holding the button should only result in one shot unless your operating a Maxim machine gun. It's the "or nothing" that concerned me.

In my conversation with them, they didn't seem aware of this as being an issue shared by others. ......or at least beyond the isolated few.

If you get the RDR2 app (assuming you have a device compatible with it, you can view the map via the app while you fish. As for being griefed, personally, I haven't had an issue in recent memory before or after the latest title update. I do use some of the tips like Lumper mentioned however to help avoid contact with randoms.

Yeah, Creed took a hiatus from RDO to play the Division 2 but he helped me too. He was really hyped for it. I bought it as well but I'm just not as big of a fan of the series. I mainly got it for my friend who loves the game and likes to co-op. We still have a blast. Now, when Insurgency Sandstorm makes its way onto consoles later this year, I'll probably be hooked on that for a while. I was hoping for a good sequel to GRW but the futuristic robots, drones, etc. in GRB turned me off when they announced it, even with the Punisher ( Jon Bernthal). .....but I'll likely get it, again, for the co-op aspect with friends. As for the forum, I don't see myself really going anywhere. .....as long as Lonestar will have me. I'll also still be playing RDO into the distant future just like I do GTAO. I agree. This is one of the best forums I've been a part of and I was happy to help as a mod when LS asked me. The members, the mods, Lonestar......everyone helps make that possible. Great group of folks here.
