  1. Several folks are reporting issues in RDO over the last couple days. My suggestions is to submit a trouble ticket with R* Support here: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?redirect_lang=en_us&_ga=2.43637154.687156781.1558287130-1821848105.1558287130 The more people that report these issues the better the chances are of having them addressed.
  2. That code is fairly general. I'm sure I've had it before but just never noticed what exactly the code was because it was a rare occurrence. Over the past 4 days is a different story though. I've never had this many blue screen crashes before.
  3. I'm beginning to suspect that this might be a PS4 / Sony issue. The folks on the Division 2 forum are complaining of the same thing and are pointing to their title update released on the 14th. https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/2054560-Bluescreen-CE-34878-0 What do you guys think? I'm not having any issues in TD2. ......only RDO and the one save file in Minecraft for now.
  4. Updated the link in my post per your suggestion that leads directly to this path.
  5. Well, the initialization took 10 minutes including setting up a few things since it pretty much puts everything back to default. I'll check the one save my son was having a problem with in Minecraft later and then RDO as well. There are two options btw when you initialize. You can initialize and reinstall the system software or just initialize. I chose the latter for now. I may go back and do the reinstall of the system software if this doesn't work. If it does then it may be that my system code was corrupt or my HDD. .....could still be the HDD. If I had this error any time before this I would most likely be looking at my HDD as the culprit. It amy still be but it just seems odd that it started at the same time as everyone else here (after the RDO update).
  6. Well, I've got the 1TB external drive so I'm moving everything over to that. The initialization will be essentially for just the system. I'll let you know. I'm not going to be babysitting the TV all day but I'll let it do it's thing while I'm doing mine.
  7. I have an external SSD that I'm going to move everything over to and then try the initialization today. I may also have to reinstall RDR2 as that might be corrupted. I just don't see how this can affect a save file in another game unless it's something to do with my internal HDD which would be an unbelievable coincidence if it is.
  8. Perhaps some countries or regions they were simply unsure of so it was a "better safe than sorry" approach. ......or perhaps an oversight....or.....? I don't want to appear like I'm belittling your country but in the grand scheme of things, Malta was probably one of those countries that just wasn't really on their radar or maybe your country is grouped in with another region that has the restriction? .....who knows. You may want to submit a trouble ticket in with R* Support to see what they say.
  9. It's not the fact that I don't have the money or that I can't make it back. ......just the feeling of potentially losing in seconds what I had grind for. Perhaps once I have a few grand I won't mind.
  10. Well, R* Support got back to me and requested I do the (somewhat) usual troubleshooting steps: 1. Close the application, install the latest System Software and game updates and restart the system. 2. If you have upgraded the Hard Disk Drive ("HDD") in your system, please re-install the original HDD. 3. If the error occurs again, back up your saved data, and then go to [Settings] > [Initialization] and choose [Initialize PS4]. 4. If the error occurs with every application, or as soon as the application starts, please contact PlayStation Support. Needless to say I responded telling her no way was I going to initialize my system because ther game is not working correctly. I also told them about everyone else here who is experiencing the same problem, the same error code and all of us right after the last title update. I'm waiting for a response back but I won't let it rest. On top of all that, her suggestion to contact PS Support suggests she is dismissing this as a system problem. .....not an issue related to their product. I will escalate if I have to. Quite frankly, I have no idea why that one save file from my son in Micrecraft was similarly affected. However, my other games are not as I've been able to play them without issue. .....I set RDR2 aside again because of this issue. I'll keep everyone posted and again, I urge anyone having this issue to report it through R* Support.
  11. While R* made no official announcement regarding the end of the beta (AFAIK), they did say this in the patch notes: "The Beta label has been removed from the Red Dead Online logo and text" In fact, all traces of the beta label for this game have been removed as far as I can tell. In the game and even on the Feedback website. I can't see them doing this if the beta was not over. It seems to me they purposely wanted to avoid any fanfare at this point in relation to the "beta" label on the game or the removal of it. Maybe after the squash any bugs arising from the last TU they will revisit it (e.g. referring or confirming the TU signaled the end of the beta). .....but that's just my guess.
  12. Welcome Sean. We have a Posse Recruitment forum for you to browse or even create your own thread to find other players if you want to: https://www.rdr2.org/forums/forum/16-posse-recruitment/ There are a few active posses on here you might want to check out and I'll wager there will be more given the new features and content as a result of the latest update.
  13. Something to add here...... I just discovered that now my son is having the same error code and crash in Minecraft. It's come to the point where he can't even stay in the game for more than about 30 seconds without it crashing. HOWEVER, I never recall ever see this code before the last RDR2 update. I think I will try other games nd see if they are affected too. Thoughts? Could this be a PS4 / Sony issue? Could it be the update somehow corrupted data on my HDD (to affect other apps/games)? .....or? This is too much of a coincidence IMO to just write off that it's my system given the issue first popped up in RDR2 just after the update like several folks here. If any of you are experiencing the problem in other games as well now, please let me know. UPDATE: I have my kid playing on another saved game and so far, no errors after 20 minutes. Sound like corrupted save files? I even reinstalled the game and had the same crashes on the save file he was previously trying to play.
  14. It doesn't have to be reproducible to be a bug. If your game is crashing, it's a bug / technical error. Folks were reporting other crashes during the beta and R* recognized and fixed those. Most were not reproducible as they happened randomly.
  15. Funny.... I was just about to create a new topic on this. There are several of us affected including: @Hubs @Jackalope_Jill @DNMNetTech @The_Liquor .....and of course me and you. All PS4 and the same CE-34878-0 blue screen crash. I WOULD LIKE TO REMIND ANYONE WITH THIS ISSUE TO PLEASE REPORT IT TO R*: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?step=5edceab4 The more reports they get, the better for us as it will gain more visibility. Thanks.
  16. What kind of error are you getting? Is it a blue-screen crash with error code CE34878-0? If so, a few of us are getting that with or without the Lemat revolver. Either way, I would definitely suggest putting in a trouble ticket with R* Support here: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?redirect_lang=en_us&_ga=2.262802764.1741854551.1558123976-1352247028.1558123976
  17. I had a couple instances in one session where the mission-giver would show they are open but the dialogue choices are "Accept" but it's greyed out. ......and the mission-giver is not explaining what the mission is.
  18. Hi @Rick and welcome to the forums. As Lumper pointed out, the "Land of Opportunities" missions are simply story missions within the RDO universe (i.e. Free Roam). This is a continuation of the story that introduced all of us into RDO. The Stranger missions are side missions. Some include characters from the main story, etc. If your question is how all this fits together into RDO, that's essentially it. The story missions are your continuing story while side missions and other activities are what your do in between, before or after. R* plans on continuing to build upon all off it into the future. Hopefully, that will include heists like in GTAO. .....which follows a similar format (e.g. story missions with cutscenes, etc.). Like Lumper, I'm not entirely clear either on your concern but I hope between our responses you found an answer.
  19. Although this is a small sample, I think it's safe to say that this issue may likely be big enough to warrant R*s attention. As long as folks keep reporting it, R* will notice and have to take some sort of action. I hate to wish this issue on anyone but I'm hoping it is widespread as that could mean a faster resolution. Let's hope it's an issue they can fix on the server end as those tend to get implemented faster than patches.
  20. Like I mentioned, I would prefer you ask me this stuff in a PM as it's a little disrespectful to @lumper as it has nothing to do with his thread. However, as you describe it, I (personally) would say no.
  21. Hi @Anthony, As Kormath pointed out, RDR2.org is not affiliated in any way with R* or 2K. If you want to make a suggestion to change something in the game, they do have a Feedback site located here: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadonline/feedback?step=decd9bdb For bug and technical issues, I would use this link: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?redirect_lang=en_us&_ga=2.23950910.583896847.1558112372-586962211.1558112372 Of course, we would also encourage you to ask questions, help others, share ideas, discuss topics, etc. on this forum as well. R* doesn't have an official forums so the community has to rely on sites like this where they can gather and contribute. We hope you stick around because even if you can't always find exactly what you might be looking for in one instance, there is still a lot you can tap into here. .....and we hope you can be a part of that.
  22. Creating a thread to showcase your video(s)........I would say no. Sharing a video in a related thread is a different story. The whole idea is that it shouldn't be about "hey, I got these videos I want people to see on my channel". Personally, I've let some videos / links in the Posse Recruitment slide simply because that sub-forum is all about recruitment and essentially advertising the group / posse (which is unique). However, I've also had to stop several people from posting or linking because I felt it was more about them wanting to drive traffic to their channel than it was about contributing and being part of the community. Again, it boils down to intent. Shoot me a PM if you feel the need to discuss further. I don't want to muddy up Lumper's thread with an OT discussion. I appreciate it.

    Welding

I bought a Miller MIG welder (Millermatic 140) several years ago. I use it for stuff around the house/property and to fabricate small items. My intention was to start fabricating craft items like horseshoe wine racks after retiring. I built a prototype but haven't really started making anymore. My goal is to make several this Summer and see how they sell. My previous experience was all in high school over 30 years ago so my skills are pretty basic to say the least. I'm still running flux core since I'm not doing enough to warrant a gas set up in my garage (although my 140 unit is able to). Flux core can be a little messy and annoying but it works.
  24. Hi @CPUTestUnit, It all boils down to intent. Sharing a video in a relevant thread meant to help someone with a specific issue, confirm a specific problem, share a similar experience, etc. should be ok. Posting videos to drive traffic to your channel, not so much. Here are the rules: Advertising/soliciting/self-promotion/selling/trading: Your purpose in joining our community should not be to sell or trade items/services, promote or advertise your site, social media, Youtube videos, etc. Forum contributions made for those reasons will be deleted and are cause for an immediate ban. Legitimate recommendations and external sources of information/help/entertainment etc are of course permitted, but just make sure your mentioning them for the right reasons. Again, it's all in the intent.
  25. Thanks for confirming. I will mention it to R* Support once they respond.
