  1. I do remember reading somewhere it was based on honour. When you are more honourable your action can shots focus on you making the shot, when you are dishonourable you get to see the gory blood spurting kill shots...
  2. Did you try parking the horse closer? I usually ride right up to the butcher. also, when you approach your horse does it have a remove (x-pelt) option? If not, you may not actually have a pelt there, just a weird glitched image of a pelt... perhaps open a rockstar ticket.
  3. I don’t have a definitive answer... but it does only seem to trigger when you hit tight in the neck, heart or head, but not every time.
  4. You can ‘rest’... it’s good for the cores.
  5. I must admit... I still have a blast shooting old cans and bottles every now and then... But I do clean up my mess after...
  6. Yeah, I haven’t seen it yet myself, but it’s kind of a lame cheat... I mean, I can see why someone would be tempted to do something like this, it’s nearly impossible to catch your target most times if they start running as soon as the mission starts. But a last second teleport and headshot isn’t the answer. Perhaps waiting to notify the victims until the wannabe assassin is within a certain range. But that isn’t really fair to the victims (then again, neither is the earlier discussed one death for the victim vs unlimited tries for the assassin).
  7. Maybe not for ‘honour’. But it wasn’t that long ago when we still had independent stores of various types. The kind where the guy behind the cash register also owned the place and knew all the regular customers by name... If you had a decent reputation at a place like this you could do things like ask him to hold your cheque until Friday. Or maybe he’d toss in something extra just because, or not worry when you came up $10 short for the bill... I’m thinking back in the RDR2 times this was even more a thing.
  8. First off, that was no accident... secondly, it wasn’t me, it was the Liquor...
  9. I’m pretty sure anti-littering campaigns and the like didn’t exist in the late 19th century... or even into the mid 20th century for that matter.
  10. Sometimes it’s just not worth the effort of going after the target once you look at the time and see how far they are... I once got a four man posse. They had a big head start and scattered the second the mission activated. By the time I caught up with the closest one I only had about 15 seconds left.
  11. Well, in a 16 year army career and an owner of all sorts of firearms... I can’t think of one situation where I forgot I had a gun in my hand, or accidentally aimed at something I wasn’t even thinking about shooting because it happened to be in the corner of my eye while I was getting ready to aim at a deer or other target.... But your comment kind of made me laugh thinking of people doing such things in real life.
  12. Yeah, all this time and I’ve never bothered with the binoculars. I just aim over the herd, see what one is perfect, make a nice head shot, then blast whatever else I can lock onto before they run to far away.
  13. The problem with that... griefers are already baiting players into shooting first and then pressing charges on the griefed player. So add in some well intentioned lawmen players, suddenly the griefer has another 5-10 guys helping him grief. a system like this can’t be put into place with what we have as is. It’ll just compound the existing problem. But, I do hope down the road they tweak the agressive and enemy system to be a little smarter. Perhaps recognize ‘antagonizing’ as an act that makes you agressive and an enemy to another player (it sure seems to be that way towards NPCs). Then we can start working the lawman angle in and they would less likely be targeting the griefed. Even more, I’d like to see a system where ‘bad’ players end up with a bounty of some kind where other players can collect the reward. Bad players being those who are being legitimate outlaws in the game, and likely griefers will end up taking on some decent bounties.
  14. I didn’t mean deliberately, such as to look at someone. I mean legitimately accidentally, like going to wave but forgetting you have a pistol out. Or going to shoot a critter but accidentally locking on to the guy galloping down the road well away from it... it happens often to me, but I just may be a clumsy oaf...
  15. Sounds like a fun side activity while enjoying some liquor by the campfire
  16. @KylesDad7, I can sort of see your frustration. But, did you not get the stuff promised you for buying the special edition of the game? This is a different promotion completely than the edition of the game. Game companies and console companies have been doing various versions and types of exclusive content with each other since video games were a thing... sometimes your console of choice wins, sometimes it looses. on a side note, I purchased my PS4 pro and rdr2 bundle with the promise that I’d get extra perks for choosing Sony....
  17. Yes... targeting should make you an enemy instantly... the only downside to that I can see is I frequently accidentally target people with absolutely no intentions of shooting them. I’d be an enemy to a lot of people. But in a way, if I point a gun at you, accidentally or not, I kind of have it coming.
  18. I’m pretty sure nwo is now set to just block shots directly to the hat... Though I haven’t experimented much to confirm.
  19. I’m not sure about clothing, but do you have to pick it up at the post office (like other things you order through the catalog) before it become available at the wardrobe?
  20. I’m sure it’s more the fact that that Sony payed so they could use these benefits as a way to promote their platform rather than rockstar snubbing Xbox just because...
  21. I don’t feel bad lol. I’m guessing Sony just paid the bigger bucks. It wouldn’t really be exclusive if everyone got it... besides, it’s not like we can go onto Microsoft servers and take advantage of them lol.
  22. I had a guy pick a fight over an elk I shot... I lost, but the whole encounter made me laugh.
  23. Yeah, I’d say immediately post war, around 1865 to around 1880. Different weapons, less law, less government interference, more gunsmoke (Black powder)... and less ‘Wild Bunch’ feeling
  24. No, he’s not describing RDR online, more like Baulder’s Gate set in the 1890-1910 era, with optional co-op story play ability...
  25. I’ll do the same... I tried to model my character after a drunk trailer park supervisor from a kind of dumb TV show I liked to watch for a laugh... almost there if i could only give him a haircut.
