To answer your question, no I had no issue but it seems to be they mess with difficulty on instances. Some enemy ambushes last night where like that And I agree they didn't fix squat with the animal spawns. All I see is a crow or 2, and couple large animals spawn here and there. Plus I lost all my moonshine on a crash and shooting from the hip doesn't register for the challenge. Shooting normal does. And to top it off, I'm finding camps, that don't show up on the map where the wagon is a rocking (and I ain't going knocking) It's like 1 bug solved, and 2 new ones rise to take it's place.

@Kean_1. They just posted it. https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/61282/Red-Dead-Online-Moonshiners-Now-Available Yeah they fixed the camp issue! **** Ok I take it back...now I have a camp but it's blinking continually between 2 different close locations, so I have a general idea of where it is And I lost my dual pistols. Edit 2... I'm taking to myself but I fast traveled to camp and it's not at either of the blinking locations, not even close.

To answer your question, just flee the horse and call a different one. No need to restart the mission if the timer hasn't started. The next server change, Sometimes they seem to want you to pay vet fees, sometimes they don't... it's bugged out like everything else. Plus you were in valentine and could have just changed the horse at the stable, given you have more than 1 And griefers going to be griefers, defensive mode with the right cards is a huge advantage... unless they using explosives. Yeah I am debating whether or not to write a whole post on how bounty Hunter and dailies is becoming a joke. I got a game that's crashing frequently (once again) isn't registering half the challenges I complete and now the bounties are falling/jumping off cliffs and the bolas at $30 a pop is ridiculously overpriced. If you are solo it's impossible to tie up 4 B4 the 3 you bola escape. Plus my bounty wagon doesn't come 90% of the time. Got watch the timer tick away as you sit alongside a road waiting for the wagon to either not move or move slower than a turtle drawn wagon. Never mind I haven't been able to pitch a camp for 3 weeks now, I just stopped trying. I already vented most of this directly to R*.

Hogtie the winner if you don't want to get hit with murder and chased. Loot them both. I'm going to try to hogtie one B4 they shoot, see what happens, but I'm usually too late to the party. * Same with the dogs, it's some kind of RNG ... never know what you will get. Sometimes great, sometimes okay but I too have also gotten maps and collectibles. * Okay that didn't work. Kidnapping.

**Animal Spawn Issue Discussion** (Since Summer and Recent Updates)
Dissention replied to Jimblob's topic in Troubleshooting
Only thing I could add to this conversation is I also don't believe that level has correlation with the animal spawns, but it's some is kind of Nerf/throttle on progress. As others stated it seems to be the server you are on. Doing a bounty and stuff does change the server (and seems my camp respawns Every 2nd bounty, except it's rarely ever where It's supposed to be but clear on the other side of the map) and puts you on a less crowded server with better spawns. On the individual level... When you are doing anything that has a timer (bounty, resupply, delivery), yep you get thrown on empty server and the animals seem to spawn at a much higher rate to distract you. I also find if I'm lingering on a server for long periods of time and have racked in the big $'s the animals disappear, Gun's get dirty quicker, rains much more and the fog is so thick you can't see. Especially right before they flash a free room invitation. Also sometimes I get charged with some random meaningless crime till I change servers. Then yesterday bounty took me from blackwater, to strawberry, through big valley, past Madam Nazar, to valentine. Darn thing took like half hour, and timer didn't go off till closed in on the dude, but I just stockpiling along the way and unloaded dupes at madam Nazar. IDK. Can't prove it but still think it's intentional on their part to get you to do other things or slow money making -
IDK. I haven't been attacked on a delivery mission yet but I hear you. Riding solo has it's benefits but also it's risks. I have been on the old wagon missions and have been attacked and fighting them off depends on your and their rank, skills, and numbers. Sometimes it's easy to fight them off, sometimes they got the skills and experience to know how to beat you. That I consider part of the risk/game. I do agree that R* encourages player confrontation but doesn't put any risk on the instigator. Someone shoots at me and I kill them first I get the penality. Whole system is convulted. will also agree that this thing of shooting at someone and then jumping into defensive mode (or jumping off the server) is just lame. You want to play the role of Spoiler or griefer stay and fight. Jumping into defensive mode shouldn't be allowed. It's really not going to help though if the other player knows how to bypass it. What is REAL BS ( and I sent R* a nasty feedback on this one) is that you get all the way to town and as soon as the buyers spawn someone lurking near the spot kills them and you lose the load. Only happened once and I killed the guy once before he left the server, but I should be able to return to camp if I still got the load, As It's not like the load was lost. But the bottom line is that you got to make them pay for attacking you and think twice about coming back for seconds. A raging posse is hard to beat as a solo but it's doable. It's kinda of win or just move on to bounty Hunter or collector for awhile. Personally I think you make more money, and primarily just enjoy, fishing and hunting. Cripps is a demanding pain in the butt.

So I bought a map off a guy in the woods
Dissention replied to Dissention's topic in Red Dead Online
AFK ....away from keyboard. I don't care anymore I just do what I have to in town and if they want to shoot at me, let them. 99% don't try to grief Yeah I thought of that but he went down to $2.50 -
So I was headed North (see long story below) into the woods and sitting on top of a rock was a guy offering to sell me a map for a couple of bucks. He had one offer and then immediately cut the price in half..so I bought it… Thinking I might have just got suckered I opened the map and went searching… When I found the treasure it was a very decent payout, on par, little better gold, with a normal map. Just wondering if anyone else had this happen before and if they actually found a treasure that was well worth the price or bogus? The long story.. the other night I had someone sneak up behind me and try to take shots at me thinking I was AFK. Aggravated me so I proceeded to kill them and all the Pinkertons trying to break it up repeatedly for a while, ate dinner, logged back in and someone who was invisible/passive mode started to try to lasso my horse. WTH. First time I couldn't shoot them, second time my horse kept kicking them down, 3rd time I was able to shoot them in the head. Moral of the story I turned glowing bright red/high hostility …. Don't know if the passive mode exploit is back, if this was compensation for having to deal with the BS and.. I should file this under questions and answers.

*Camps* (Discussions of Issues Since Summer Update)
Dissention replied to zosma2000's topic in Troubleshooting
I have all the bugs listed above and many more. I've reported to R* and get the we are working on it. I've had the camp bug going on at least a week now and believe it's not a bug but just some kind of programming gone mad. If you do a couple of bounties, leave the session for a half hour or so, or move far away from your camp and linger for awhile it seems to comes back. Especially if you do bounties far from camp. that's my current workaround. Tuesdays are my day of hope, that they put out some bug fixes rather than another hat with a feather in it. -
How do you get collectables out of a tree?
Dissention replied to Dissention's question in Questions & Answers
So today I used varmint rifle and worked like a charm. Heron and spoonbill eggs right next to each other Again thank s -
How do you get collectables out of a tree?
Dissention replied to Dissention's question in Questions & Answers
Naturally I can't find the tree anymore but will try the varmint rifle. I was hitting it with everything else Thanks for the answers... appreciate it -
So I was taking a stroll roam through the swamp with the woman who needed saving from the Gators and a bunch of what I am assuming where collectable eggs showed up in a tree. Couldn't climb it, couldn't lasso it, couldn't shoot it, couldn't reach it from the horse and even wasted an ancient tomahawk on them. I just gave up... Anyone else figure this one out?

Their is one resupply mission that you have to steal a chemical wagon and the more the NPC's shoot at it leaks and you lose materials along the way. Whole game is still bugged(at least for me) and It's probably defaulting to the voice over line from that mission. Cripps personality seems to be that he's a trash talking, demanding SOB. Couple times I've wanted to put a bullet in his head. Always wants more. Butchers never give you due respect either, tend to always complain about the one stars never say anything nice about the 3*
-
Yeah I think you hit the nail on the head. They're are only so many spots on the server where I believe they have the proper animations/routes for delivery/supply missions and the demand is greater than supply I also think they want people to also be out collecting and bounty Hunting too, rather than sitting in camp stockpiling cash. I posted earlier in this thread that I was going to contact support and pretty much that's what they hinted at (albeit in very bad English)
-
Yeah I'm having the same problems as my Cripps and company is basically out of business. I can't pitch a tent, just takes my $2, and flashes. Sometimes it spawns on server change/cache clean but as soon as I deliver or resupply it disappears. It's also flashing multiple times that Cripps has packed up when their is no camp to pack. I'm contacting support, but most likely just going to get me more aggravated, and just collecting and bounty Hunting for time being. Also can only put 3 outfit on horse too, last couple of days
-
Yep same stuff is happening to me. If I move too fast defensive gets disabled for agressive behavior (I think it occurs if someone is in the vicinity but not sure and it's pretty far vicinity) Also, If I do a supply or delivery mission my camps flag goes down but does go back up once mission complete. I don't know if it's intended but if the plan is to allow raids on my camp R* better allow me full revenge privelage and they better not be jumping servers. I also get knocked out of defensive on bounty missions but I believe that's intended Worst part I'm experiencing is Everytime I do afforementioned supply/delivery Cripps disappears and packs up camp after I finish. I pay $2 and camp doesn't respawn till I join new session. I think R* has me enrolled in the frequent bug program
-
My first impressions... I could do a long post but don't want to spoil anything yet. Bounty Hunter was my main gig yesterday, and actually enjoying it but it was buggy ... couldn't lasso targets and some gang members impossible to kill. They say dead or alive and I was racking up the kills but alive seems to pay out better. Seems to be some side jobs when delivering the Cripps goods but they where buggy too, as to be expected. IDK I'm happy with the gun changes ...Bolt action seems to be back to where it was with express ammo b4 last update but looks like they nerfed high velocity on that and the Springfield. Springfield seems slower to load though. Movements are much smoother now, especially since I can literally jump right on my horse and go Allot to digest in 1 day but they added some stuff worth taking a longer look at.
-
IDK answer. Once I successfully started one roll I was able to access all 3 directly from the main menu when logging in. Have you started other rolls and Can you go back into from the main menu? Support also always states to reboot console and clean cache
-
Yeah I've had left stick drift on this game for like 2 weeks now. Today the movements are much smoother/better but I still got left stick drift and my dualshock is less than a year old. I was going to buy a new pad but really don't want to put the cash down on a new one or try warranty. Going to have to try another game and compare, would be interested if anyone posts to this thread.

Yeah I collected letter at emerald station and went to Rhodes and he wasn't there so I got bounty Hunter license for$15 gold (even though it was supposed to be free with twitch... ticket opened) Collected my first bounty and had to deliver it to Valentine and he wasn't there either. IDK gonna try again in a little while. May be because I'm bounty Hunter. Bounty Hunter seems like stranger missions so far. Find bounty and deliver it to a sheriff. Update... Never mind Cripps was hanging out in St Dennis for me.
-
Go to a post office or camp lockbox and get a letter from Cripps. Read it and he will be waiting for you at the general store. I haven't figured out which general store yet
-
I answered the poll with the following notes..... R* states that you can do all 3 at once so it's kinda decide as I go, might latch onto one I didn't expect. Question 3 . Maybe and if they do it right is kinda tossup question. One seems contingent on the other New content is one key aspect but my biggest thing is existing bug fixes, raging griefers, the rampant cheating, PVP rework, etc. Ie. They going to address the root problems or just adding a window dressing over it ...and I'm tired of all game developers drip feeding games to death... But when all is said and done I think the most important aspect of this update is actually being potentially overlooked... the new combat/movement system. Been playing since launch and you kinda get used to the existing system. They're kinda wonky as they exist today (especially since I got some left stick drift) but Is the new system going to be better as they promise or a negative change. I've read other posts and kinda in the same camp that in a little over a year from now I'll hopefully be opening my PS5 and have been really looking forward to some decent VR games, once the tech improves. Once I find something new I'm not the type that going to come back every 5-6 months for update if they continue at current snails pace. In summary, kinda feel like that I've accomplished everything in game as it exists today and they're adding new "goal posts". The new goals need to be enjoyable.

Daily challenges what are your least favorite?
Dissention replied to lumper's topic in Red Dead Online
Going to have to check them out. I see Witcher 3 complete for $15, that's a darn good price I got that game already though They (Sony) keep offering me borderlands 3... Trade R* for TTWO. IDK know about that -
Daily challenges what are your least favorite?
Dissention replied to lumper's topic in Red Dead Online
Going into a Holiday weekend in the states + no update = quiet forum. My least favorite daily challenge = anything that refuses to spawn on the day that it is a challenge but pretty much is a friggin cornucopia of abundancy the next day. And showdown Series...not because of all the well documented actual in-game problems but the fact I have to enter it at least 3 times before I get in and then at least once the counter counts down to zero and I wind up back in Free roam. Who knows if it's last minute kicks or just bad servers. Beacons in-game work better than quick join -
Just trying to help but as others and myself have noted PVP is a broken mess, but the way I look at it is all about strategy and preserverance for success... Yes I still get picked off all the time by the lousy carbine repeater and varmint rifle and I don't know how they do it but ... A headshot is going to kill you outright most of the time and the only way to prevent it is slippery bastard, doing dives, using cover and the terrain to your advantage is going to reduce you getting shot. I'm also going to suggest Showdown Series small over large as (impossible to get into) and more chance of getting picked off On one hand, Most of these games it doesn't matter how many times you get shot and respawn (I frequently get tagged battered but who cares).... Spoils of war, hostile territory and similar games you can choose to be a runner or a defender. To be a defender find something close to the bag/territory and just hide in cover and practice your headshots or use a shotgun/handguns to ward off close incoming enemies. Being a runner is just avoiding being shot.... Public enemy I just chase after the target for the most points. Weapon Melee using the tomahawk for 6 points or 3 points for the shotgun is better than the 1 point repeater... Capturing 5 territory's, killing public enemy 5 times or delivering 3 bags, etc. usually gets me the MVP and team win over the player who sits near an enemy spawn and picks off 32 enemies. Most wanted is the one (off the top of my head) that really matters about not getting shot. Most of the 300-400 lvl players have learned to sit behind a tree or something and pick you off. It's either find a way/path to take them out or just pick off the other players Elimination series I haven't played in months because of the long spectate times for reward (and the people who team up, pick everyone off and then lazily fight for couple minutes at the end) and the fact they spawn people directly behind you...but throwing knifes and bow/arrow are good ways to learn headshots and using terrain to your advantage. And I've posted it B4...I have every repeater, fully upgraded and they don't work for me in free roam or PVP. I use bolt action or Springfield but my true favorite is a Max fire rate shotgun. I sacrifice fire rate for damage , but that's my opinion... 100 different players can give you a 100 different answers on guns, if Lancaster isn't working try different load out... Litchfield less accurate but better damage if you want a repeater. Part of the joy of this game is trying out different weapons... And the most important part is having fun... it's just a game with a lifespan. I'm super competitive but at the end of the day don't care if I'm top of the leaderboard Everytime... it's about enjoying the ride
