One is enough if you just let the winner pick which console. I don't think it matters either way. It is a free game. lol

My thoughts exactly. Free is free and I think it is more than generous to offer a free copy of the game. I don't see other gaming niche forums doing this for their games. Though I have not seen them all.

I gotta work on being on more often lol I am going to fail this...

I seen someone else running something like this for another game. I like the idea. A good way to give back to members and promote the game too.

I see people on Youtube doing this as well. It is an old marketing trick that works really well. Obviously, just getting new members on here for the contest and hoping they stick around is the idea but on Youtube, you do it for views, likes, and ultimately money.

Youtube is a popularity filth pool anymore. People do anything to get like and views. It is all about money and being popular, not about the actual community. It is so toxic on there anymore. I would much rather join a forum like this then follow a bunch of people with morons for fans.

I always thought something like this could be sponsored. I know you (site owner) will likely be buying the game to raffle off yourself but what are the odds of Rockstar actually sending you a free copy for this event? I mean clearly, we are all RDR fans and it would be good PR for them.

I entered a few giveaway over the last few weeks I found through PC Gamer and out of curiosity, have you considered using Gleam @lonestar? I guess it is a bit late for that but it makes doing things like this a lot smoother and easier.

Thanks, you are right, probably a bit late, but will consider it for the next time!

Just curious...

Since we know the release date and all. When do you think you will do the raffle for the game? I intend on buying it day one, I am too impatient but I was just wondering.

I would imagine it is this...

We’ll choose the winners by random draw and if you’re one of the lucky ones expect to receive an email from us. You’ll then have five days to respond with your name, age and address after which we’ll send the game (approximate value US$60) to you as soon as it’s available.

lol it is in the OP. So yeah, soon as it releases. It is worth seeing if you win unless you don't want to be in it at all.

No worries man, I do this kind of stuff all the time. My family (especially my mother) always says I should have been born blond. ^_^

Any thoughts on running a second giveaway for the collector's edition? Just curious. I know that would cost more but it could be something you do later on before they sell out, like maybe in December or something. I don't plan on buying it, I just don't want to spend that much on it. I am guessing it will be $100+

That would be tight but I am fine with just winning the game itself. I never win anything I enter online haha

As a side note, I'm in marketing and I ran a big competition on Facebook not long ago for people to win a piece of jewellery, and there were SO MANY comments from people saying things like "OMG I really hope I win this for my mum, she has cancer and she would LOVE something like this." as a way to try and influence the winner decision.

It was a $20 pendant.

It's like... why don't you JUST BUY YOUR DYING MUM A F****** PENDANT

It should be complete about a week prior to release

I see this kind of crap all the time on YouTube and Twitter. Especially for giveaways on forums and such. I can guarantee most of the people doing this crap are lying to get a pity win. They act like no one anywhere else is going through what they are.

Thanks for letting me know dude. Like I said, was curious. So I would imagine it will be bought on Amazon and shipped out to the winner that way? Any other things I have been a part of like this do it that way.

Yep, will be shipped from Amazon (or another way if the person can't receive from Amazon)

Can it be hand delivered on horseback?

Ha I would love that! Amazon needs to step up there game and have horseman deliver packages. I would pay $30+ for shipping if a dude would ride up to my house and deliver me something on a horse.

Someone down the road from me owns a few horses. If this is going to be a thing, I can "borrow" one of those horses... Though they may notice and I don't want to be in prison when RDR2 comes out... Nevermind. ????
