There are some who live by codes: death before dishonor, only reaching for the holster when absolutely necessary - you know the type. But there are also four-flushers beholden to no morals, no law, no honor at all. Whichever path you walk, the rewards are bountiful - starting today, complete any A Land of Opportunitiesmission for Jessica LeClerk and Horley to earn an additional 30% RDO$ and XP over the next two weeks.

The Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue sees four limited-time offerings returning today, including the Owanjila Hat and the stylishly studded Concho Pants. Fellers would do well to try the Charro Jacket on for size, while the popular Clymene Coat returns for ladies, made from premium top-grain leather.

In addition, all vests that typically require Rank 31 and above have been temporarily made available to those at Rank 30, while Vests typically requiring Rank 11-29 are currently reduced to Rank 10.

Whether you prefer to handle your business from a safe distance or up close and personal, stop by your local Gunsmith and take 25% off the Double-Action Revolver and Springfield Rifle. Local Fences are also offering 50% off the Hatchet and Cleaver for the next two weeks.

And for the same period, all Ability Card Upgrades can be acquired for 25% less than the regular rate.

For a limited period, Twitch Prime members who have linked their account to their Rockstar Games Social Club profile by August 2 can still pick up the high-powered Carcano Rifle, the Tasman (male only) and Danube (female only) outfits, and the "How Dare You" emote - all for free and without Rank restrictions.

All Twitch Prime members who signed up by August 2 and play Red Dead Online this week will also receive an additional 10% discount on top of the current 25% reductions of the Double-Action Revolver, Springfield Rifle and all Ability Card Upgrades.

Visit twitch.amazon.com/prime/loot/reddeadonlinefor more details on linking your Rockstar Games Social Club and Twitch Prime accounts, and stay tuned to the Newswire for more Red Dead Online news in the coming weeks.

Thanks for posting @Kean_1 gives me a lot of hope that we are close ! They have never done a 2 week special so it's just around the corner I can feel it.

No problem.

Summer ends mid-Sept so yeah, I would expect to see it sometime up to that point.

A lot of streamers speculate on the 20th for the Summer update, but over on Reddit, a commenter speculated something (soul crushingly) reasonable...

Basically:

- Sometime this week (August 13-19) we will get a trailer for one of the Specialist roles - likely Bounty Hunter
- Then next week (August 20-26) a trailer for another, probably Trader
- Two weeks from now (August 27-September 2) a third trailer for Collector

And sometime after that, the Summer Update.

I'm going to add to this theory and say the week of September 3-9 we may get another preview/hype trailer for the updated mechanics followed by the actual Update September 10th or 17th.

The fuel for this theory is in the recent preview:

Later this summer, the world will evolve again with the introduction of specialist roles...

There is much more to reveal about becoming a Bounty Hunter, Trader and Collector in the weeks ahead...

The not so new update! Only a week old!!!

This edition of the Newswire was the leftover stock from last week, they didn't give them all out because the majority of players stopped playing 😂

I went for a medical trip last week. I hoped to remote play to keep my x2.5 Daily streak Gold multiplier active but the hotel WiFi wasn't fast enough so I'm back down to .20 Gold bonuses... I have to leave again on my next Day 27 streak (September 5)... My will is fading... 😢

....so in other words, the Summer Update may not release until closer to the end of Summer which is Sept 23rd which (quite frankly) shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

Unless they reveal some new information on a concrete date, the only safe assumption is that it will release sometime before Summer officially ends.  If it comes sooner, great.

Personally, I never expected it to come sooner but certainly hope it would.  In the meantime, I simply keep myself busy with other titles until the release.  ....and then I'll likely switch back to RDO as being my main title that I play for a while.

august is the last summer month. if the update aint here by 31th, it is an autumn release!

Depends if you go by astronomical or meteorological.

Technically, part of Sept can still be part of Summer depending on who you ask. I'll wager R* uses the solstice and equinox dates as I mentioned earlier.   .....astronomical start and end dates.

Personally, I’m not even turning the game on until the summer update comes out. Good timing since it’s summer, I have a brand new baby and I want to get out of the basement. I haven’t been around here much either though, so for that I feel a little bad lol.

Ah, I remember those days.

I actually cut the cord on TV when I noticed we hadn't picked up the cable box remote in over 12 months when we had our kid. It took all we could just to get a good night's rest during that first year or two especially while working full time with a long commute.  ....forget about having time for games.

I don't miss those days although it's all worth it in the end.
