I would like a ghost option. Like if people are pissing you off, you can ghost them. So even if they are on the same server, they can't do anything to you and you won't see them at all. The catch to not abuse this would be to have it where it lasts a minimum of 1 hour on the player you put it on.

What does every great Western have? A showdown in the middle of town. I would love to see this. A little marker in town where you and a friend can enter and duel it out. Cash price for winner.Image result for western duel

Great idea. Such a simple thing they can add in too. Do like a little triggered cut scene between characters and a countdown. I would enjoy this.

Would be fun for others to stand and watch too, like people would have done

Yeah this was my first thought, but it would be way too open to boosting for them to even consider it.

I would like to see some pub activities you can play with friends or just random other players. Like, have card tables going, darts, etc. I think darts was a thing in the late 1800's??

Wyatt Earp

Doc Holiday

Jesse James

Billy The Kid

Buffalo Bill

History of the old West is filled with classic, bad ass names. I think it be cool to be able to create one for your online character and others would only know you as such instead of KillaB_420.

I would like the online options to be the same as RDR, where I can just PvE or PvEvP.   My son and I tried once to play GTAO, he had asked for a booster pack where he got the CEO, Hanger, and MC Club.  1st mission we did, I invited some friends was doing well in the mission and another player showed up with a tank during our mission and we failed.  The other two just laughed it off and made comments like funny that was.  My son didn't play for about a month.  Just saw he had logged on about around the 1st of the month.  Sorry not a fan of griefing and not a fan when it happens to my kid.  Hoping this weekend he will want to try again and we find a few good players that will want to roll with us.  He has been sticking to the MC Club and doing the easier missions there.

Rockstar have added so many features and vehicles to GTA Online, a lot of which can only be described as a griefers' wet dream and because of this GTA Online can be really demotivating for anyone who's just trying to make money.

What platform do you play on?

If you want someone to roll with, you can add Truth Ride on Xbox One. I don't mind blowing my cash if it means killing some griefers.

Man that is pretty shitty of people. Like I get the trolling thing, I like trolling people myself but I only troll other players if they are my friends or if they deserved it. If someone is doing a mission, someone you don't know who has done nothing to you in game, let them be.

Some people would go on servers just to screw others over. I never understood that kind of crap but trolls will be trolls. I just hope it doesn't end up on RDR2. There should be some kind of protection during online missions if that is the case.

Maybe some races that are more skilled and where wagers are placed.

Death Race mode.  Combat from horseback from point A to point B.  Entry fees required, purse goes to the winner.

There are really only a few things I can think of, and they're really just 'features'. I hate the logo above your head when you're trying to hide from someone. Have the option to take it or leave it. This is why I always played HC mode on RDRO.  I would also like to have the option to not appear on the map. I can't even start to think of how many times I've been snipered by cowards while clearing a gang hideout. They snipe you and then leave the session. Besides, in that era, people could not just open a map and see who's where.  Also, in RDR if you shoot an NPC, if there are witnesses, you most likely will have the law on you, plus a bounty. So, how come there's no bounty on you for shooting an online player? Should the law not pursue them too?

But what makes it a "death race"? Are all losers shot at the end??

The fact that you could kill off your competition by shooting them from horseback, or via other methods during the race.

In fact, THAT's how I'd work in a BR mode while having a unique take on it.  These won't be short sprints from town to town--each match should go, say 20-25 minutes with a full lobby, depending on the skill level of those involved.

That's pretty cool, but wouldn't that just come down to who has the:

  • Best armor
  • Heaviest gun
  • Fastest horse

?

Because you're looking at it through the prism of unbalanced gameplay ala F13th.

There are plenty of ways to balance something like this, such as having statistical caps on gear, or limiting player options for gear to the race--not bringing in outside gear.

Perhaps have it set up with a budget where you can select certain horses, armor, or weapons within a fixed price range, gear up, and then participate.  There are a lot of ways to balance the mechanics of something like this to put player ability first; faster horses have lower stamina; heavy armor decreases horse speed; faster horses create more inaccuracy if firing while moving...

That's a good point. In the original RDR, you weren't allowed to use your multiplayer character in challenges - you were assigned a generic character (e.g., Miners, Cattle Rustlers, etc.) who were all on the same leveled playing field.

I guess under those circumstances, it could work.

I just want to see a fair balance between players. Sure some guns, horses, etc. will be better for certain things but they need to have high and low points with everything. A fast horse is weaker and easier to take down for example in comparison to a slower one that is more bulky.

I think they will do the right thing here. I can't see them giving anyone an unfair advantage. I mean unless there is an unlockable weapon that is good all around and you have to do a lot to unlock it, everything else will be a mix of good and bad.
