Turkeys are hella plentiful, and super cheap. One 3 star turkey ain't worth much to even think about. Food sharing sounds nice but isn't needed. If you can't get food in this game on your own, you're slow in the head. Plus you're adding another thing griefers can grief on. Hell, I run deer over for the fun of it because the sounds they make amuse me and I still have a vendetta against a buck in single player for knocking me off a cliff.4 points

I always try to shoot fellers as need shoting, save fellers as need saving and feed them as need feeding XD3 points

Well I don't have a chart or anything, but I can tell you that hunting is one of the slowest ways to gain xp. Do as many of the daily challenges as you can each day. Each one is worth 200 xp. Clearing enemy hideouts is worth 150 xp plus the xp you get for killing the enemies themselves. You'll get bonus xp for headshots, long distance shots, using special ammo, etc. Go into your progress menu and look at your awards. If you've achieved any gold belt buckles, make sure you reset those awards if it lets you because you get xp for each milestone you reach on every reward. You can reset awards up to 10 times as you achieve them. Stranger missions are always good for xp. Take your time, the less time left on the clock when you finish it, the more xp and money you get. Finally, there's always pvp. The showdown series is pretty good for money and xp. Spoils of war was great for it.3 points

So, I was thinking, and yes I submitted it to R* feedback. It would be nice to have a food share. Today for example, I had to make a choice and in the end I had to leave a 3 star turkey on the ground to rot, instead I noticed a blue dot near me, so I sent him a note and told him, if you want it, I am leaving it here, on the road. I cant see wasting it. then it occurred to me, it would be nice to have several designated food share locations, where you can elect to send your extra food, or a way to designate it to a player. Player trading and assisting should be a thing, with all the hunting we do, it just makes sense. I thought maybe leave a food share bin at several locations around the map, or have an option that allows you to either designate an item for the local share or to the nearest players. that way a player can alwasy check a food share to see if there is anything in there he or she needs and also be able to use those pelts and carcasses we cant carry, this could also be rewarded with an xp or honor boost for taking part in contributing, or low honor for taking from it, I dunno I think in there is an idea.2 points

Hey all, Thought it would be fun to see clips ya'll have caught of funny or entertaining moments in the game. Here's 2 of mine - How to painfully dismount your horse The Bridge Method I was doing the challenge to trample 5 animals and saw the rabbit..... The Rock Wall Method No explanation needed lol.2 points

If you don't like waste then don't overkill, that simple. You're trying to solve a problem that you created and honestly doesn't matter. If you couldn't fast travel then ride there. You have a horse for a reason. Yeah I started two weeks after launch and didn't have a problem getting food. The animal doesn't need to be 3 star. Again, you don't even necessarily need to hunt. Go loot houses for cans of food. If you played single player, then you'd know this is possible. Yeah I was alone and it wasn't intimidating. Not everyone that started out was terrified to do anything. Some people are seasoned mmo players, some not so, but it's a game. It sounds to me like you just want things handed to you. Like you don't want to have to work for it like the rest of us.2 points

Yeah, I hated how one of yesterday's daily challenges was to kill 3 players from a moving train. You can't do that outside of free roam and I refuse to kill another player in free roam unless they attack me first.2 points

I really like this idea of item sharing/trading between players. Initially I thought ammo/tonic trading between posse members may be useful , especially on missions, etc.2 points

I bought the hobo life camp theme(the cheapest one) just to complete the stupid daily challenge of updating your camp theme, otherwise I wouldn't bother.1 point

You're mean. I feel bad when I wound an animal and don't kill it outright and I have to stand there and watch it suffer as I wait for it to die because I don't want to put another bullet in it and ruin the pelt.1 point

THIS!!! Structured "challenge" would be awesome in this, you can accept or decline. "Player23" is challenging you to a fist fight. ACCEPT/DECLINE "Player23" is challenging you to a duel... "Player23" is challenging you to a showdown... If you decline and Player23 kills you anyway, MAJOR HOSTILITY increase/honor reduction to Player23, bounty too for murder. If you accept, you two go at it for a set duration, after that is over and the victor declared, no hostility increase/honor boost and go on your way.1 point

This is a game......if i kill more animals then i need it doesnt really matter. I just know that every time i try to be nice ingame i get a stabbed in the back and as mentioned animals are easy to get by and it would most certanly be abused as a moneysource or a waterhole for griefers1 point

No. Because just like in real life, I don't kill in excess. If I have 6 big game meat, I know I just need to kill one gator to top me off at 10. I'm not going to pop 5 more just because. I'm just always aware of what I need (ie fat, deer meat, big game meat, etc). I actually memorize what I need before I go hunting . I'm also cheap, I don't waste bullets if I don't have to. Like I said, I get the idea. But you can also buy meat from the butcher if you really need it. Not a fan of anything being given out for free . But that is just me.1 point

Then most people would just wait for the food and not bother to hunt themselves. Getting food is far too easy for something like that. It's literally everywhere. Canned goods in most abandoned houses. Plates of food in some camps. Every animal you can kill can be eaten. Also I've literally asked random people if I could kill them for the challenge and offered the same to them and they accepted. Use your words. And if you have friends, then do the daily challenge with them.1 point

I think the other one was to kill 3 players using explosives while on horseback. That one I completed by joining the dispatch rider free roam event as soon as it popped up. At least there you are supposed to kill each other and everybody is ready for it. I shot 3 players with some explosive ammo and died plenty of times myself.1 point

I'm with you. Lol. I'm gonna feed you so that you have the strength to kill me later? Nah, I'm good. Besides, it isn't that hard to find an animal to kill. They are everywhere.1 point

Same. Actually I believe yesterday had two kill player challenges, I refuse to take part in either. It needs to be in a situation where the other player has some idea it is coming, so they can partake and prevent it or get a kill out of it without incurring a red dot. The system is just needing tweaking is all. Last night I was fishing, facing the water a player snuck up behind me, tackled me from behind and then shot me and left the game, lol, I dont let that bother me anymore as I cant do anything about it right now, but I am not adding to that chaos and upsetting some other player just trying to enjoy his evening. If we could say let a player know,, I am going to start a fight so they can fight back or defend or get me first, then it would be ok, but just randomly killing people with no motive and leaving them confused and pissed isnt my idea of fun or a good game Maybe a challenge system, where we can select a player to challenge to either a fight, a dual, or just a general shooting, so at least they can accept or ignore would be a god start. Lastly, fist fighting was very common in this time period, way more than shooting. People fought for honor and pride. If you accused a person of cheating, you were gonna have to back that up with your fists, everytime, same with calling a man a coward, you are 100% fighting, so this needs to be more present in the game, challenge a player to a fist fight, and then duke it out, and not to the death, ll just til one concedes or is knocked out.1 point

Holding out the 15 minute missions net you about $20 and 450-600 exp. 20 minute missions (namely those wagon ones), give about $25-30 and 750-800 exp. I've had a couple of the 25 minute ones give $45 and 850 exp though. But while you're waiting out the mission, hunt do whatever. Kill birds, 10 exp per bird. As I generally need animal fat for explosives, I have to kill quite a lot of geese/ducks/pheasants. On the way to other missions if a hideout pops up, do that. Kill predators like cougars, gives 15-20? exp per one. Plus good money. Story missions, the dishonorable one gives $55 and 1080 exp if you hold it for 25-30 minutes. Same thing applies, hunt fish do whatever but this time without having to worry about other players killing you. Lately we've been doing showdowns, the ones we're invited to like fools gold and King of the Hill. Gives about $25-30 and 500 exp if you win or get second place and my posse and I almost always win those. There's more to it. But I'm at work. Generally we're constantly doing missions. Couple of us watch over it, rest of us do whatever. Daily challenges help now too, we didn't have that until recently. Reset your challenges too for the gold.1 point

If im not mistaken fishing does not give you xp at all same thing with herb picking1 point

They've mixed it in with the rotation of the other showdown series(regular not large) modes. It really sucks. I wish they would make it so that you can choose which one you want to play instead of it being completely random.1 point

You can't buy in game cash with real money, so as long as they use that and not gold, it should be fine.1 point

Typically tier 1 cards give you a small boost, tier 2 gives a medium boost and tier 3 gives a large boost.1 point

Just play an hour or so of some showdown series or free room a day. Back when free room was 32 players a win netted me like $60 and 2800 XP with 20% bonus, plus the XP for headshot, special ammo before match starts. Now it's somewhere around $30 and 500-750 XP tops, around $15/250 XP for 2nd or 3rd MVP in showdown small is around the same, depends on your score as compared to the rest of the field. Even a loss on showdown/free room I believe is like 100 to 150 XP every 10 minutes plus headshot/special ammo XP As others have said the horse races pay squat, gun rush pays pretty good too.1 point

Not that I know of. I think it's always been like this. You just don't get much xp from shooting animals.1 point

Was this nerfed by chance? I reset my character and it seems like it is taking me so much longer to level up. I do quite a bit of hunting but I feel like it is getting me nowhere fast.1 point

There are some females on YouTube that became famous for playing video games they never played. I can't remember the one chicks name but her boyfriend would play for her and she would pretend to be playing for attention. I find those "female gamers" to be the saddest of all.1 point

We had a voice in the campaign because we were playing the role of Arthur. In RDO, you're playing the role of yourself so there is no scripted dialogue on your behalf. It's definitely a design decision and R* isn't the only one to choose this route. In fact, a recent example is the Division 2. As I recall this was actually addressed in an interview during development and the decision had something to do with what I mentioned.1 point

Thats great man, good memories too. Clint did many great movies, those 70's Any which way but loose films were great. Fun fact, you probably already know this, but in case ya dont, they call those films of Clints, the man with no name films or no name series, but more commonly Spaghetti Westerns they call them that because they were filmed in Italy where regulations were much more manageable and less expensive, many big directors and actors of the day Henry Fonda, Glen Ford, for example, usually preferred to film at least in part at Monument valley Utah where all those great tall stone things (for lack of a better word) are, Clints films never had those amazing views and vistas but you really dont mis them either, he had a way about him unlike most that came before him, You can find Clint in episodes of Maverick, Wanted Dead or Alive, Death Valley days and Tales from Wells Fargo, at least that I have seen him in, he was very young, some of those were 1959ish so he looks barely 20 in them as a cowboy, and you can still see that quality that he brought to the role of the outlaw very early on in his cameo or early opportunity roles he played.1 point

Hello Zampen, Thank you for contacting Rockstar Support. I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience, as it is clear you have a passion for the game and would like the game modes listed differently. As it stands now, the newer game types are listed directly on the page for selection while the rest are placed into the general queue for playing, which starts up with a random section. Again, I can tell you dislike this feature and want your voice heard. Please send that feedback here, so it gets right to the developers as quickly as possible. I am again, very sorry for this and thank you for your continued support of the Red Dead Online Beta. Best regards, Ian D. Rockstar Support1 point

Seems to be weekly with resets on Tuesdays. No way to tell which items will come next or when certain items will return (yet)1 point

Well, people could already be providing that input for all we know. It could even be in their future plans although gambling in game with in-game currency can be a little risky if not implemented correctly. If you haven't already, I would suggest you provide your feedback on the Beta Feedback website: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback?step=f2e508921 point

I go the sniper route, i like to hang back and headshot then run in with a shotgun and finish off anyone left. My second load out is an LMG and assault rifle when i want to just spray and pray1 point

I know @BropolloCreed79 was playing the Division 2. I am too in fact. Days Gone is coming up quick but I have a funny feeling about that one. I just don't get a good vibe from the hype, interviews, footage, etc. .....a good vibe for me that is. I don't know..... What do you like that you've played? I'm just waiting for the Spring RDO update which I have a feeling will land in April since that is when their published schedule ended for their weekly release of challenges, etc. ....I'll still be playing other titles at the same time though as I do now.1 point

Except for sometimes. I wonder whether I had some bugged games early on, because I have had situations where 2 or even 3 members of my team have had bags at the same time, but for the past few days it has definitely been 1 bag at a time. One game in the orchard we won 19 deliveries to nil, and all 3 of us could hold bags simultaneously.1 point

That's what pay to win is. Letting low ranks buy overpowered sh*t just cuz they have the irl money for it. A bad disease that seems to plague most MMOs. So far it hasn't fully touched RDO yet. It's not crazy and feels good when you finally get to the rank to obtain/use it. Low ranks with explosives is like giving a tantrum ridden 5 year old a flamethrower. Also slippery bastard basically makes your accuracy sh*t and you can't lock on to them, they can't lock on to you. Very handy in showdowns like fool's gold and that one I can't remember but you gotta get the other team's loot bag.1 point

Afaik the limited items: I think they will be in the catalog fo the next week or so, and then be replaced with other limited stuff. The first of these limited offerings are several rare outfits and pieces of clothing. They include a Tasman outfit for male characters, a Danube outfit and hitched skirt for female characters, tied pants, a winter shotgun coat, a gardenia hat, and a squat stovepipe top hat.1 point
