  1. Well, in some cases that's all they can provide since they are not privy to all of the details of schedules, progress, etc. Especially when something is a known issue, they will give a canned response. I wouldn't put it past some reps to have a list of responses they simply cut and paste from given the amount of folks they have to reply to and the repetition of some reported issues.
  2. I know some will never trust R*, question their motives, etc., but they have mentioned several times that they are looking for community feedback to help them develop RDO and made just as many comments to remind folks that this beta is a true work in progress. Folks can complain, discuss their hopes, criticize the direction of the game, etc. but it means nothing unless they make their voices heard. It's great to have those conversations here and the site encourages people to do so but R* is providing their fans with (what I believe) is a rare opportunity to help make a difference by submitting their feedback while the game is still being developed. They even established a dedicated site for this feedback. Obviously, not everyone will get to see their own suggestions come to fruition in the game but IMO, I still think it's worth taking a few minutes out of your day and submitting them. Regardless of how some folks feel about it, the coming anti-griefing measures are a perfect example of how this input has had a direct affect on changes in the gameplay mechanics. ......and it shouldn't stop there as people will (and should) continue to provide their input on how they feel such changes improve or hamper the game. Doesn't matter how people feel about topics on gameplay in RDO, everyone has the opportunity to voice their opinion on that website and I believe they should take advantage of that.
  3. .....and here's the link: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback?step=f2e50892 Just note that the "Bug / Technical Issue" option will take you to their Support site where a trouble ticket will be created and a representative will respond typically within 24 hrs. For suggestions, feedback, etc., you would obviously use the "Feedback & Suggestions" option. Just note that you are limited to 500 characters per request but you can submit as many as you want. Sometimes it's better to break up long requests / lists because of this.
  4. It seems different for everyone. I have tried the process Madfretter spoke of with no success. The items I never get paid for simply disappear if I do that. I've tried waiting after each sale (for quite a long time I might add) without luck. I've tried selling pelts individually, etc., etc. The issue for me is that some pelts (no consistency there either) I simply won't be paid for. R* has acknowledged the problem when I have submitted trouble ticket to them so let's hope it gets rectified.
  5. Depends what you consider "minor". .....but yeah, it seems based on the current information that they are mostly gameplay changes / additions but ones with drastic impact. Also, stayed tuned as there may be more details revealed next week. In case you missed it.....
  6. Make sure you;re reporting this to R* Support: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?redirect_lang=en_us&_ga=2.31599098.516169624.1550337090-1719606522.1525287356 I would include as much detail as allowed.
  7. Textbook griefing and trolling right there..... Had a posse of 7 sit outside our mission objective at the il fields last night (had to steal horses). Against my little voice screaming NO, we started he mission, stole the horses and went to deliver them. The posse followed and I actually made it to the drop off point but because of the requirement to "hitch your horse" I wouldn't have been able to complete the mission. I blew myself and the horse up. The posse at that point decided to grief us with continual kills vs. trying to complete the mission objective. Neither of us fought back and we spent the time blocking each of the seven players before finally switching sessions. Normally, I won't even start engage in missions with other players nearby. There is no balance in this game currently and I for one can't wait to see how the new anti-griefing measures will affect gameplay in this regard. That posse last night we encountered had 2 players over level 100 IIRC and others higher than me (I was about lvl 52). What fun is that? I would have been fine with the whole encounter had they played the mission and went on their way but that wasn't about to happen. They simply wanted to spoil the mission for us and then continually cause grief.
  8. They've already outlined what to expect in this TU but they also said "We will have more details on additional content in the February 26th update next week". The update will also include bug fixes but to what extent, no one knows. We also have no confirmation yet as to how some of these new features / changes will work exactly and likely won't until the update releases and folks get a chance to explore them in more detail.
  9. Oh, gotcha. Yeah, never took out a griefer's horse and then had to go directly to a butcher so I wouldn't know any different. Interesting about the parley notification but again, it's rare that I get rolled enough times for it to pop up for me. Could very well be that they are adjusting things for the upcoming TU.
  10. The latest update which this thread is about won't be implemented until 2/26/19.
  11. They haven't fixed a lot of things and this is also a beta. If you haven't heard, there is a title update inbound on 2/26: I'm not saying this particular issue will be addressed in that TU but there will be updates to help squash some known bugs. .....along with new mechanics being implemented and improved.
  12. Well, that could all change when the update comes out later this month. Griefers are going to have to give up doing what they do or change tactics. The more devious among them will certainly find ways but let's hope it's enough to make others rethink what they do. As it is right now, it's just too easy to grief other players so I think the temptation is there for more players to do it.
  13. Couple things..... You need to realize this isn't an official Rockstar or Take Two forum so we "can't fix it" even if we wanted to. RDR2.org is a fan site with a community of (you guessed it) fans who share information, discuss the game and help one another. Also, if you don't tell us in your posts what you are talking about, then it leaves everyone guessing. As they say, help us to help you. .....please take that into consideration when creating a new topic, etc. Now, there have been several discussions on the topic here and other social media sites as to what causes this with no real clear answer that I could find. Some believe that it's not always an exploit but there has been enough accounts with suspicious behavior to suggest that others are using an exploit to achieve the same thing. My suggestion? Continue to report the players as you have been doing and also block them using the PSN feature or XB1 if that's your platform. .......btw, completing your profile would also help so folks know information like this. More importantly. I would also report the incident(s) through R* Support here: https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?redirect_lang=en_us&_ga=2.141123894.526311906.1550255596-1719606522.1525287356 Doing so will create a trouble ticket where a representative will get back to you usually within 24 hours. If this is occurring to you as frequently as you imply, then I would also try and capture footage using the PS/MS tools available to you. This will go a long way to helping R* recognize the issue and do something about it.
  14. What "hacks and glitches" do you speak of exactly?
  15. Something else to consider is that there is a known bug where posse invites are not always working. What people have to resort to is changing the setting on their posse to "open" and then having their friend(s) join that way. Unfortunately, if folks are in the queue to "posse up" with randoms, they will auto fill the open spots before their friends can jump in. As for killing people for that, I think that's uncalled for as it's not their fault but I'm sure that is why some posses are being set to open.
  16. Not saying it doesn't happen to you. In fact, I'm not convinced the problem is the same for everyone. I've heard other folks talk about not being paid for other things while the only problem I've ever had was only with pelts.
  17. That doesn't happen to me either. In fact, it's the stacks I usually get paid for in full. It's the loaner pelts that I usually have a problem with.
  18. Well, I did say "for the most part".
  19. It doesn't help that some other actions are tied to the same buttons. I've punched horses, had misfires, etc. and still do.

    2xp

Something else to consider (and something @Ragee503 brought to our attention last night) was the wording about what exactly the "2XP" entails. So in other words (from what I understand), you are only earning twice as much of the increased amount you normally get when playing with a posse. Now, I don;t know what that normally is but I have played a lot of missions solo and with posses and it's never been a huge difference IME. ....noticeable, yeah but not really groundbreaking. Last night it didn't even seem to make much of a difference. Personally, I'm more excited about the 20% more XP that is being offered next week on all activities. I think that will make more of a difference.
  21. I've accidentally shot someone who coincidentally was trying to help me. I let him kill me and said it was unintentional. I also told him to loot the bodies and I left. I don't know if he heard me as he never spoke a word. I will say however that if that were me in your scenario getting shot at, I likely would have immediately retaliated. Just the fact that you didn't engage after the mistake should have been enough to show that guy that it was accident though. After the update mistakes like that are going to cost you.
  22. We've got nearly 60 members in this community now and over 40 in the PSN Community I started. However, I know a lot of you are going it alone. Don't be afraid to reach out to fellow members in the group. That's why I created this community so that folks could mingle and find other people to join up with in the game. I know it's not easy but eventually you can typically find at least a couple people you get along with and can consistently "TeamUp" with. I've met up with a few good people from here, a couple that I almost always connect with and others that join us from time to time. Before you know it, you'll meet friends of friends and expand your contact list. .....so get out there and meet more people! Regards, Kean
  23. Worse case scenario, we'll at least have an idea how far the mini map's diameter covers once the update hits. We know strangers won't be visible until they are 150 meters out so we can simply do tests with our friends to see when they begin to show up on the radar & map.
  24. I thought that "Posse Up" option had always been there and that they simply added the 2X XP icon? I hope the ability to choose all of the various starting locations is sorted by this evening. This is obviously a new development and I agree with @jnaron_ngc that this may simply be an update and/or testing occurring on their end.
