That would be a question for R* although I doubt they will change whatever it is in their system that is filtering it. It would easier to simply choose another name or a variation on the one you want (e.g. adding characters, spaces, etc.).

Interesting theory. 🤔 It seems camp placement may also be dependent on others as well which (I believe) is why sometimes it's is set up in a different province than what a player will sometimes select.

Its based on the number of posts. IIRC, it's after 100 posts then maybe 500 and 1000. You're at 94 right now as far as I can tell. I don't recall the specifics though.

Yeah, I was really just busting your chops. ....but since we're on the subject, IME there are a lot of folks who use these things as I do as defensive options which can include fighting back. Just last night two of us had a pair of what I can only assume were griefers run straight at us (both on the same horse). We tried changing direction and they changed with us so I made the decision to strike. Each of us split off, circled back and killed them along with the horse and then rode off in the opposite direction from where they respawned. I checked the map and noticed they made a bee line for Valentine where it appears they were trying to troll others. I was tired of taking one-shot hits to the noggin before I could reciprocate so I have been trying out the NWO card. When I reach the appropriate level, I'll get explosive ammo too. ......but again, as means of self protection.

I prefer to wait and see how it pans out but that's just me.

The simply fact is that there is no official release date for the next TU and any potential fixes in between (if any). If there is any hope to some of the common issues some folks are experiencing, I suspect that they will likely be in the TU.

I use the Never Without One but I wouldn't consider myself a scumbag or a griefer. 😥 I have actually been using it for self defense against them.

I think they already gave us the answer about what to expect in the next TU but yeah, I'm expecting bug fixes, the new player blips, parley changes, law and bounty improvements, daily challenges, etc. ......although I really doubt any of that will come this month.

No problem. I'm not big with Twitter but I follow a few RDR sources including R* news feeds. No idea. They only say "all week" this week so maybe that's through next Sunday or maybe only Friday? .....dunno.

Just a helpful tip.... You might want to include your platform in your profile and/or the thread title, etc. Also, your time zone might be appropriate when talking about times you may be playing as we have community members from all over the world here.

Yeah, of course that's a personal decision but I agree. I buy all my titles these days digitally since I have never really sold off any game I ever bought. Personally, I prefer a wait and see approach rather than one based on the current state of the beta or negative speculation of what the future may hold but that's just me. If the game turns out to take a direction I don't agree with then maybe I'll uninstall it at that point. For now, I would rather see how it pans out even if that means taking breaks from the game until things get rolling.

Just to clarify.... Properties haven't been officially confirmed although there have been place markers found in the code for the companion app last year that gave a strong indication that they will be implemented at some point. Same with wagons.

Thought I was being fair in my post. I wasn't dismissing the problem, quite the opposite. As for reporting, my point was that anyone who has had the problem even in rare cases like me should submit a trouble ticket with R* Support. The more people that do, the more it will become apparent to R* that this is more widespread problem than perhaps they will admit. Well, IMO they need to fix the camps first so you can't be lasso'd, drug out and killed. .....tested this last night with a friend's camp after he told me it happened to him. The kicker is that you can't reciprocate. .....so I like the camp defense idea. I also think he should be able to help with trading some items. Maybe there is a delay or a restriction with some items perhaps limited to just pelts or something along those lines.

I feel bad for you folks this is happening to. I get random disconnects too but in my case they are very rare and seem dependent on the session. ....I can usually tell something is not right (e.g. lag, missions not appearing on the map, etc.). Even in those cases I might be disconnected once or twice but again, it's rare that I ever do. I still reported it to R* however as this was something they said they addressed in one of the first updates. .....it's not fixed IMO / IME.
