I thought you sold the game back in December? Anyhow, no one here knows when the next update is coming. The last status update has been linked around here a few times and we don't know anymore than that. I would encourage you to submit your suggestions/concerns directly through the R* Feedback site and Support. Beyond that, we're all in the same boat as you.

I like your idea and actually, I think it would be easier as an option/alternative to brining up the L1 menu. A lot of times I want my horse to stay but don't want to hassle with the way the commands are set up to work now. It would be faster and more convenient IMO just to do the whistles like you say.

I don't recall for sure but if you hover over one of the peach colored missions icons, it will tell you the types of missions they give out. One of them will say something along the lines of hunting an animal. Certain quest givers usually give specific mission types. Sorry, I just don't remember off the top of my head at the moment the details.

Well, I guess that was my point. Even here you can see how some people respond accepting as fact what is essentially conjecture. ....and then they pass it on and so on. I think speculation is fine and even fun sometimes. I engage in it myself. I just wanted to clarify what was actually being said in this recent meeting vs. some of the rumors / claims I've seen deriving from it.

Well, even the mention of "weeks" in that article is an assumption. The last update from Rockstar said something along the lines of "coming months". I just said this is another thread but I listened to the shareholder webcast and there really wasn't anything very specific in that meeting to draw any concrete conclusions from. Essentially, Zelnick said that the beta is still in the early stages and is a work in progress (nothing new for those have been following). There was the mention of a "content drop" for RDO in FY 2020 but no details as to what that actually would entail or how it affects releases/updates throughout 2019, the beta period, etc. This is all big picture stuff concerning the forecasting of sales / performance. Zelnick actually mentioned at one point in answer to a question that R* would be the one to look to regarding such news and updates on the product. I hate speculating on this topic but I think it's safe to say that with what we've been told "officially", we still have months to go for the beta. As for what content and how frequently that will drop during that period, I have no idea and I don't think anyone else does either. I don't think there is any merit to some of the rumors coming on the heels of this call about no updates coming out until 2020 (because that is definitely not what was said) or specifically what that FY2020 "content drop" means. .....could indicate when they anticipate the beta to end and add new content like heists, a new PvP component (large scale BR), etc., etc. The fact is that no one knows for sure and quite frankly, there was nothing in that call that (IMO) anyone could really draw and concrete conclusions from. A lot of it was generalized as I would expect from an investor meeting. Let's hope R* will be releasing at least some more news soon as to what we can expect.

The only thing close to that I believe would be the "On The Hunt" side missions where you have to go after animals that are quite a bit stronger and usually bigger than normal.

What I find is that some "news sources" are taking what everyone else knows from what R* has already made public and then draw their own conclusions based off speculation. Some even begin to throw out their own dates or specific time frames even when officially, none have been announced. IMO, I would rather see the source of where these articles and/or claims come from before I would even consider them legitimate. The problem I find is that folks see these claims and then run with it as fact when for all they know, they could be unsubstantiated assumptions. Personally, until I hear it officially from R* or a source that can substantiate their claims, I simply look at those "stories" as opinion.

Maybe if they get a bounty immediately upon committing the crime, that follows them regardless if they log off. In other words, if they log off, the bounty sticks when they log back on. ....including time limit penalties or whatever. Maybe that might make logging off a moot point? Just spitballin' here.

I immediately report users like this for disruptive behavior and then block them. Knock on wood but I've been lucky so far in being able to do this before they log off. Personally, I would also submit feedback on the R* website. IMO, this is something beyond the normal griefing issue given that people using these kinds of hit & run tactics could certainly make things worse over time. Even with the anti-griefing mechanics R* has talked about implementing, I could see something like this being used to escape consequences if this exploit isn't taken into account when they implement them.

Yes. You really need to get rid of anything on your horse first before engaging in missions, etc. Sometimes they will stay but other times they will vanish which has been my experience. ......although with gang hideouts I don't usually have that problem unless of course I die.

Glad to see your found the problem but sorry to see you may need to buy a new controller. Just a word of caution if you try to open and fix it yourself..... It's very easy to break tabs and other bits in these things. They are tough but not when you start cracking them open. I'd suggest watching a few YT videos first on different techniques. .....probably want to buy that new controller first though in case the inevitable happens.

No problem Luke and I hope this is something they will be able to sort for you but if it is a bug, expect that it may not get addressed for a while. .....especially if it's not one shared by many others.

UPDATE: I'm now level 51 but I haven't been playing as much as I was. I'd likely be about 80 by now if I were.
