  1. Rockstar Newswire (official source) has been updated. Here's the info they posted which has a few new additional details we may not have heard but more to come tomorrow: https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/60711/Red-Dead-Online-Beta
  2. It would help if you were going to spread the news to also provide the details so there is no confusion...... This launch will be rolled out this week. .....meaning, not everyone will be able to play tomorrow on Tues unless you bought the Ultimate Edition of the game. Here is the schedule:
  3. Here we go....... 🙄 I never knew poor people were a race. You hit the nail on the head. Much better to roll it out than to launch with everyone on at once. RDO is going to be huge. I think this was a smart move to include this as a neat little perk for those who chose to buy the Ultimate edition and the fans / supporters who played at launch. Looks like I'll be playing on Wednesday since I bought the regular copy. I may have to stay away from the forums tomorrow so I can still have a sense of discovery when finally get to play myself.
  4. A bit more information apparently from an email to RockstarINTEL from R*: I can already see the complaints rolling in to say how broken RDO is, lacking features, etc. Remember folks, this is a BETA.
  5. It was actually 0.01% and likely attributed to playtesters.
  6. Just to clarify..... It's not going live for most people tomorrow. It is a staged release.....
  7. Yeah, it's a little confusing. I was playing within minutes of the launch so I should be in the clear. .....but I'm not exactly sure why they mean between the 26th and the 29th since that seems to include the 26th which is launch day. This is obviously a little unclear for those of us playing Thursday night and Friday. .....I was actually playing around 2100 on 10/25 since I'm on the West coast of the U.S. Release was midnight EST.
  8. Yeah, well..... They had a 1 in 5 chance. Just keep in mind however that the release is staggered and will depend if you have the Ultimate edition or when you first started playing RDR2. So the release isn't actually Tuesday unless you bought the Ultimate version. It will be Wed thru Fri for everyone else.
  9. More info regarding the details about RDO from R* Intel site:
  10. ....same here (barring any issues with being recognized as such). Worse case, at least by Friday.
  11. Yeah, it's already posted in the Online sub forum.
  12. When hunting for perfect hides, I try to find a point where I can perch over a rich hunting ground. Then I use my binoculars to find 3 star prey and take them down with a headshot. ......using the appropriate weapon of course. Deer and medium sized animals, I use Express ammo and a powerful rifle with a long range scope. .....for critters, I use a bow or varmint rifle but those are always a pain in the ass.
  13. Twitter is blowing up right now......
  14. I'm sure it is. I'm keeping an eye on R* Newswire as well although they are slow to update.
  15. Just saw this. Thanks. ....curious how the first source I saw was from Variety. Weird seeing this as a first source for this kind of news.
  16. UPDATE: Here's the news from Rockstar Intel who got it from (oddly enough) Variety magazine . I didn't find this on R* Newswire though. TAKE THIS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT UNTIL WE CAN VALIDATE:
  17. Hmmmmm.... How can I put this without disappointing you........ There is no Santa Clause and Google is just a search engine. Unless you see a source that is reputable / official with news about RDO, take it with a large grain of salt. If RDO was online, there would be news from R* and other, well known, trustworthy news sources.
  18. Yeah, I'll wager some sort of announcement comes this Tuesday and then a release toward the end of the week. .....unless something unexpected comes up. Either way, I have no doubt that there will be some news next week.
  19. Replay the game, partake in some of the other activities you may not have during the first playthrough (those that are still available), etc. If you're hung up on keeping your character totally "good", create a save and then start trying some of the activities that this game is all about (outlaws for life). .....try robbing stores, trains, people, etc. Try getting better at those activities so you're ready for online. RDO is on the horizon so that will also have things you can do solo, coop or against other players in the game world. It's not as if the game dies after the campaign. .......unless you're completely against the online experience before we even have details of what it will consists of. IMO, my friends and I can't wait to play together (co-op) when RDO arrives.
  20. Why you would spend 1 1/2 hours trying to hunt down a 3 star buck is beyond me but ok. .....I can usually bag one in short order simply approaching from an elevated position in a target rich area and using a good rifle with an appropriate scope (headshot). ......but yeah, I have a feeling none of this will make a difference and you've already made up your mind so......
  21. Why do you need someone to change your mind? .......and why the massive font? You're either confident in your assessment or not. Doesn't matter what the rest of us think. Ratings are mostly subjective anyway based on our own expectations, experiences, likes and dislikes.
  22. Yeah..... The N, S, E, W indicators are also a little hard to see. Perhaps putting them on the outside of the ring would have been a better choice or another alternative. As for confusing them for an "X", not really but they can tend to mask them at times. I run with the minimap at normal size and then expand it when I'm looking for kills, etc. Easy enough to tell at that point for me.
  23. What makes you think they won't? You also have to realize that GTAV set the benchmark for success with relatively few games ever lucky enough to come close. GTAV:O continues to break records today. Also, RDR2 is not a replacement for GTAV:O. Both games will continue to live alongside one another into the foreseeable future. R* has no plans to abandon GTAV:O anytime soon and will continue to release updates. RDR2 has already shown impressive sales records and I have no doubt that RDO will also be a hit. Both will supply years of enjoyment to their fans.
