Hey guys,

I am curious as to what should be implemented into Undead Nightmare... if it's even going to be a thing (it very much should) I wanted to hear some ideas from you guys on what you think should be in the mode, and what are you most excited about in Undead Nightmare. Are you excited? Do you think Undead Nightmare can set the tone for the zombie modes in the industry? Comment down below and tell me your thoughts, opinions, predictions, and expectations.

I liked Undead Nightmare DLC.  Thought it was a good spin off of the original, yet kept it familiar to the original design.  I would love to see it updated for the new game.   Though I don't think they will repeat it, I would like to see something similar that could have been tied to that era.  Lots of myth and legends that could be used.

Not a fan of the whole alien theme, hits too close to the whole GTAV vibe for me.  Prefer to stay away from bringing that stuff into RDR2.

I never did like or enjoy it, hate zombie's anyway, hope they come up with some better

I enjoyed Undead Nightmare but I feel Rockstar could do a lot better in terms of DLC for Red Dead Redemption II, recycling the tired old zombies trope seems like a waste of Rockstar's skills and creativity.

Rockstar have already done the whole western-zombie setting. I'd like them to do something different, like Aliens or just anything else apart from zombies.

I, honestly, would love to see them doing a storyline with an infestation of vampires. I mean, technically they're still "undead," but it's very different having to battle a cunning, logical, evil group of monsters who are actively converting the whole area -- than just a bunch of shambling dead guys creeping toward you trying to eat you.

Think about the fun angle of this: gaining specialized wood-firing weapons, joining a posse of vampire hunters, finding their lairs, having to use holy water, crucifixes, stakes and -- if you can -- throw them out into the sunlight.

And, if you get bitten, it starts the clock: there's only one cure -- and you have to race to reach it before your vampirism takes hold.

Seriously. HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE??!!

Please stop with the ‘hey let’s add zombies’. If you rework the idea into an alternate reality, like Deadlands RPG, then by all means have at it. But adding zombies just for fun is sorta worn out in my opinion.

Uh, I always considered "Undead Nightmare" to be an alternate reality. Sort of a "what if?" version of the game.

I would rather zombies, then say aliens.  Personally don't want players flying around in UFOs and using hi-tech bombs in PvP.  As long as they can make it fit the time period.  Zombies isn't all bad idea.  Yeah it has been overused by other games.  If Rockstar can do it right.  I do don't they will though.  Cause it has been done.

Okay fine, wild west vs battle droids it is then!

Another bad idea, that would get out of hand by Rockstar.  Like I said before they need to keep it grounded to a point and not let it get out of hand like they did GTA Online.  Too many OP items that allow serious griefing online.  Prefer just to avoid that style of gaming.

Vampires, Werewolves.  That kind of craziness.  Yes.  Aliens.  No.

Totally. I really don't want to see any kind of advanced technology - alien or otherwise - in an 1899 game.

However, hunting a gothic band of vampires at night with holy and wooden weapons - THAT would be an AWESOME follow-up to "Undead Nightmare".

Hell, it could be called "Unholy Nightmare"!

. . . wish I were getting paid for this.  😒

That was a pretty fun game. An old friend made me play it all the way through. I think that would work REALLY well honestly.

Cannibals.  Basically make Bone Tomahawk into the DLC; like a raid/dungeon on their lair.

That looks more like "The House of The Dead"- style graphics

It was released in 2005 (by Capcom), so shitty graphics are to be expected lol

I thought it was good for what it was. I can't really remember any details about it, but I enjoyed playing it. I liked the good/evil options that they gave you throughout the game.

Enter an outpost like Ravenous. Have to solve a murder mystery. Figure out who the cannibal is.

I do hope for some sort of ghost town experience.

Whereas I am cool with zombies, they did already do that and Borderlands, and Call of duty, etc.

I would enjoy something a bit more Lovecraftian.

Those all sound like viable ideas.  Shadows of Brimstone does some nice Lovecraftian things in Tabletop form, so maybe something like that?

What about a combination of ideas stemming from writers, written works and myth from the period. .....Brahm, Stoker, Shelley, Stevenson, etc.  Maybe you fall into the role of a 19th century "monster hunter" of sorts with main characters that you need to defeat (Frankenstien, Dracula, etc.) but also other minions and victims that you encounter throughout the world.  Voodoo in the Lemoyne region and yeah, maybe even zombies from legend.

Just spitballin' here.....

That would be pretty cool actually.

I feel zombies has been a little overdone in the past decade or so.  The vampires and werwolves thing sounds kinda cool, kinda like Underworld in the Wild West. Could be a lot of fun if done properly.  Aliens seems more like what Rockstar would do, considering some of the stuff they put into GTA V and online.

Cowboys vs Aliens. I'm digging it.
