In what fashion would you like to see John Marston?

Since we don't know if we will see John at all in the game, I thought this would make for a good discussion. 

If given the choice, how would you want to see him in RDR2? Would you want him to be mid-way in the game around the halfway point of the story? Would you like him to make an appearance near the end? Maybe part of a DLC story? Or just not at all?

Near the end. I want him to be tied into the main story somehow whether it be killing Arthur or killing someone else for Dutch. I want to see the beginning of how he started with the gang.

Mid-game. I want to see him introduced near the middle just so I can see how he actually gets roped in with Dutch.

This. Pretty much my thoughts on it as well. I would like to see him be initiated into the gang and a common way of doing that is offing someone else.

Na, I think he will be in from earlier, integrating into the gang. As part of the gang you would play as Arthur Morgan partaking in all the things that John doesn't like, see how he starts to separate himself from the gang and eventually depart, giving us then the aftermath of that event.

I would rather see him come in the story as DLC. I know a lot of people will disagree on that but if you put Marston in the main story, it will only take away from Arthur. I am fairly certain they want the focus to be on him and Dutch in this game.

I like him showing at the end. This will keep it open to have one more game with him, maybe showing us how he was a bad man turning good. 

Then again, that might be too much and it may be better to just have his story be told in this one.

This is how I feel. 

It would make more sense to introduce him no later than halfway in the game so we can get some depth from his whole story.

End of the game for me as well. I want him to be in the game for sure but I want the focus to be on Arthur and his story. I feel like if John entered too soon then I would just honestly be focused on him and wanting to play as him. He was such a great character in RDR.

I will be the one to say it... I don't want to see him at all. If he ends up being a big part of the story or even the ending of the story, I feel like it may ruin Arthur for me. I am still on the fence from what I had already seen with him. I felt like I could connect with John from the get go but not Arthur.

This. I just want to see the wrong side of the law John we didn't get to see in RDR. I loved his morals but I always wondered what he was like before.

Midgame. Why have John only appear at the end? It appears the game won't be starting back too far in the past. John should be from middle to end. Even if we aren't directly working alongside him all the time, knowing he plays a role in the story gives it a HUUUUGE bonus for me.

This is what I was telling someone on another forum. If you are going to have John in the story, have him be in the story! Don't just feed us like 10 minutes of story and that be it.

I would like to see him and his wife from the beginning, just to see exactly how they ended up together.  According to the story in RDR, she was passed around a bit.

End of game with some DLC story to extend it, please. 

I would much rather have that than some ET style DLC or ghosts. Having him mid-way would make me hate Arthur. lol

THE ROCKSTAR GODS HAVE LISTENED! I am not sure what point John enters the story but it would seem that he will be in a good portion of it from the look of things in the new trailer.

Yeah so we know he is in the game now but at what point do we see him enter the story and in what fashion?

I would assume he is in at least half the game, if not 75% of it which is great. So much of his past history was hinted at in the first one and I really wanted to see how it all went down and now I will be able to which is really freaking cool to me.
