Tell me about the how you are not required to be fast and accurate to shoot someone in the face before they do the same thing to you in free aim... FREE AIM clearly requires more talent because you don't auto lock into someone, you need to actually AIM at someone and shoot, there is no praying involved. I'm inclined to think this whole "topic" is sarcasm hahahahahaha5 points

.....well then, color me unimpressed with the whole epeen thing. Frankly, I consider games entertainment and not life accomplishments, but more power to you. .....I yield. Your button mashing skills and talent for killing virtual characters with virtual weapons and arcade shooting/aiming/ballistic mechanics are to be commended.4 points

Thanks to everyone who has participated in the Beta so far, we appreciate your help in testing the game! Your feedback from these early days will be instrumental in helping formulate updates to every aspect of the experience. Our current areas of focus include the in-game economy, which will require some additional balancing in order to ensure all activities are appropriately rewarding and fun, as well as some persistent bugs that are causing some players to be kicked from sessions. The game has been developed so that we will be able to quickly make any adjustments like these, and we plan to get updates out as early as the end of this week with more updates to come next week. Feedback from the community has been invaluable, and we will continue to keep you regularly updated as things progress. We hope you continue to play and enjoy the game, and please keep sending your feedback to reddeadonline.com/feedback. Source: https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/60726/Red-Dead-Online-Beta-Status-Update So there is some light at the end of the tunnel. Sooooo ... I cleared a gang hideout near Lagras and went a-lootin'. Half way through, while searching a hut, the entire gang respawned around me and started moaning about the bodies on the floor!! I tried to run for cover but got riddled with holes before I had a chance to get somewhere safe. Ouch! Got ambushed by a bug! Oh well ... I cleared them out again after the respawn, and looted them for the second time3 points

... not seeming to realise I can break out of it and shoot them in the head? Happened a few times now when they lasso me out of the blue, obviously thinking they can have fun with me, only to find they get an unexpected bullet to the brain. Have I found a rare cache of imbecilic trolls?2 points

For those of you struggling trying to obtain max health stats, here's a really easy way to do so: buy a bow & arrows and just kill enemies, either by replaying story missions, doing gang hideouts, or killing other players (sometimes it's amusing to bring a bow to a gunfight). Each kill will either give you +10 or +15 health, but make sure you aim for the chest. If you aim for the head you'll more likely get +1 deadeye stat instead of health. Two days ago I was still at level 6 health, now I'm almost to level 10.2 points

Auto Aim.. does 99% of the work for you. To say auto aim takes more skill than free aim is pretty funny. You are out of your damn mind if you believe any of that..lol Free aim takes no method? No strategy? No navigating the map?... It takes luck? Dafuk are you talking about? Auto aim literally seeks out targets, even if you don't notice them on your screen. And for the record, people who are highly skilled with manual aim..don't pray for their bullets to hit. They just shoot you dead..2 points

Auto aim takes more skill than free aim. You've got to remember that while I've got auto aim, my enemy also has auto aim. And if i'm not fast enough and accurate enough I will get killed pretty quickly by a good player. That fast reaction time and the accuracy it requires is not demanded in free aim. In free aim, you pray your bullets will hit. It takes no method, no strategy, no navigating the map efficiently and being quick and stuff. It literally takes luck and the right settings (deadzone acceleration etc). If a top auto aimer played a 1v1 with a top free aim player, the auto aim player would surely win by a greater margin in auto aim than he would lose in free aim. It's honestly not that skilled. People think, well its manual aim you have to do it yourself, surely that takes more skill right? Don't pretend its easy to hit a good player in auto aim either. I guarantee if you play against someone who knows how to spin and sidestep well you will not land a hit on them all game long.2 points

Some good ones there Poggy! The Voice, and the weather effects would be so cool! - But to add even more random events, the Bar fights with people thrown out of the windows, would be even more cool!!2 points

I tried to submit this to the Beta Recommendations link, but it was more than 500 characters. 1. Leave PvP as it is, simply remove the player blips from the map, that would go a long way. 2. If a player kills another player, they are highlighted on the map as hostile for 5 minutes. 3. If that player kills another player during that 5 minutes, they are marked as hostile for 10 minutes with a small bounty. 4. The hostile marker and bounty goes up each subsequent crime. 5. Killing a player marked as hostile with a bounty does not mark you as hostile, in fact, your respect level goes up. This puts a consequence on senseless PvP and it allows players to exact revenge with impunity and gain some cash.2 points

Feature Request for RDR2 Online: Having everyone shown on the map is discouraging. It creates a toxic environment for players whose main focus to piss others off by killing them repeatedly and makes it too easy to find others. Solution below. Spotting Players: How it would work: "Spotting" another player would mark them on the map for you (or everyone) to see for a limited time (i.e. 2 minutes). Introducing a player spotting system would provide the community with the following benefits: 1. Reduce the amount of unnecessary PVP by trolls who kill others while trying to do tasks, missions, etc. 2. Encourage players to "scout" enemies before engaging. People would use binoculars, scopes, etc before engaging to ensure their target is not with a crew of other players. 3. Increase the online mode's realism. 4. There would be large community support for this - many posts on Reddit would confirm this idea as beneficial for the community. 5. Encourage use of microphone/global chat vs party. Thank you! Matt Rockstar responded to me! They gave me this link to submit the feature request: www.rockstargames.com/mouthoff. They told me the more people that submit the feature the more likely they will implement the feature!1 point

If you crouch, you're icon will show as grey which means no one can see you. Also, I suspect some are using the respawn feature to get out of firefights. I've spent a while examining other player's behavior on the main map. Sometimes the players disappear only to show up a bit of a distance away. .....sometimes they disappear but show up relatively close to where they were. Other times the icons seem to jump around a bit in close proximity which I can only guess is lag. On the minimap though, if a player disappears, it could be that they have crouched to avoid detection or respawned. I have a feeling some trolls may be doing that to get around their victim and to try and gain an edge. If you start running when crouching, you will be seen again. If you skin and animal, look at the catalogue, etc., you're detectable. You have to walk while crouched to get around anywhere and remain undetected.1 point

Good to know. I was having this problem for 3 days and even contacted Rockstar about it but they never responded. I am going to see if this works for me as well.1 point

I had something similar happen to me. I must have taken too long to kill them off cause it seemed like soon as I looted the last body they were all over me again. I didn't make it out alive though. lol1 point

I mostly just hunt. I haven't really established anything yet but I figured this is the most fun way to earn money considering I can make it a game in my own right. Me and a buddy will set a timer and see who can hunt the most deer (or other animals) in that time frame. We will also see who can get the most quality pelts. It is a lot of fun.1 point

I actually want to tell people to just send me money via PayPal now to see what they say. When you think about it though... if everyone is just giving each other cash... what is the point of it? You either end up with the same amount, less, or more. Gifts are no different. You are basically buying people things in return for things you may not want or even need so it is like we are blindly spending money for no reason other than because the fat cats trick us into believing it is part of the "holiday spirit". Grinch had it right. Spend nothing and STEAL EVERYTHING!1 point

I like to hunt in the Heartlands, generally the space of land in between Valentine and Emerald Ranch. It's very open and contains a lot of birds and deer, which can be very profitable if you kill a lot of them at a time. It's best to do it during the daytime because that's when the birds like to fly around. I make about $40.1 point

Haha. I've had that happen a couple times. Always cracks me up. I've had a couple people waste a lot of ammo trying to shoot me as well. Makes me think that they do not know about the camps, probably only know how to find players and troll them. Actually had a dream after the first time that they could shoot the white flag to make me attackable again, was relieved when I realized it was just a dream, cuz that would really suck.1 point

I would love to see the bounty system to be like in story mode. Lots of $ on your head if you go on a rampage.1 point

I'm come to believe that the basic economy isn't actually too bad - it just seems mega rough because of five things: 1) Gold being unable to unlock stuff early, being too hard to get, and being an obvious set up for MTs 2) Missions not paying out enough to make them worth the time - they need better rewards 3) Purely cosmetic items, like many clothes, haircuts etc. being overpriced 4) Very arbitrary level locks on stuff 5) Trolls making hunting and fishing harder than it has to be1 point

No spoilers, just some new information. It's been confirmed that Arthur cannot see prostitutes or engage in any sexual activity in the game. I wasn't bothered by any of the other information (like clipping of objects), but this I have to admit is a let down. This is a game where you HAVE to eat and sleep, change your clothes based on the weather, feed and look after your horse, etc. Horses dynamically crap, their testicles shrivel dynamically, animals decompose dynamically, and there are over 80 pages of dialogue for each NPC... And yet they drew the line at sex. Arthur Morgan, your Wild West outlaw, can butcher entire towns and settlements, but will never be able to visit a brothel. Figures. It made sense for John. But for Arthur? Nah. I'm still hyped for the game, but I gotta admit I don't appreciate that they purposefully kept this from the game. It's not like it was an oversight. The game has dynamic horse pooping. This was intentionally omitted from the game. A Rockstar game. Potentially the only Wild West game of this caliber that will ever exist and your outlaw can never have sex. Murder indiscriminately, sure. Sex, nah. That's too much. I don't know if you can tell -- I'm pretty salty right now.1 point

Ironically enough this is the reason I never liked wearing band shirts. So many people do and yeah that is great, you are supporting a band but you are still supporting a label. People pay extra for the name. My girlfriend is always shopping that pink crap at Victoria's Secret. The quality of the clothes itself is less than that found at Walmart but you pay $45+ for a single shirt that is basically paper thin. You have to figure though for women they are not just paying to wear a brand but for vanity sizing. A size 6 woman at Walmart would be a size 2 in designer clothes. Such a stupid concept people fall for.1 point

Change #3 & 4 to "gold" , with separate cool downs for the bounty and the claimer (24 hours for each--you can only get a gold bounty once, or claim a gold bounty once every 24 hours--to prevent exploits gaming the system).1 point

Bro, how much ya bench? Everyone knows that they didn't have powdered protein in the Old West, so to build muscle mass they had to rely on a strict lean protein diet and maxing out reps. Hydration was important too, bro, but you had to watch out for both Cholera and Dysentery. Basically, lots of campfires and boiling water. After the water was boiled you could boil chicken in it too--that's another lean protein that was widely available. Everything a bro needed to build muscle mass was provided for by the land around him. Water and lean protein, bro!1 point

Yeah, the star icons are posse leaders. ......red icons are players who you are engaged with. ....little black and white crosses are dead players. .....your icon will apear grey when not visible to others (e.g. while kneeling). ......but does anyone know what the eye icon represents? I've seen that a few times where a player's icon changes into this for a moment or so.1 point

I don't work for Rockstar. When and if they choose to ban your account you can accept that as proof. So I don't have to prove it. What I know is if they ban you they won't play the "oh we didn't know, that you realized you was cheating over and over and over." They will ban you and that will be that. If you don't care then it won't matter. I have spoke with those who got banned in GTA Online, cause they used a glitch and didn't know any better, *wink *wink. I would also suggest if you come on forums and claim to cheat, I will point it out for 2 reasons. 1st) you may actual don't realize you're cheating and can be banned for it. No refunds. 2nd) your cheating and bragging about it in the forums can lead to others doing it, which could get them banned. In turn, that decreases the shelf life of the game. Which I do enjoy playing. So if you want to brag about it, it makes it my business cause you are affecting the whole community which I am a part of. Also if you do feel a need a rulebook, feel free to look up the Terms of Service for the game. It is usually pretty general to cover their backsides legally. They may or may not doing anything, but if they do they can ban you no questions asked and with no warning.1 point

Why use a glitch to make money? Most players will use a glitch to buy better gear and advantages. Guns and Horses. Many not all players that race for these benefits do it so they have an edge in PvP in a shooter game. Now by the examples I have seen in the past of games like this. Those same players will go looking for players that off doing there own thing for sake of fun. Now if you are just starting out, do you really want to have some tool that is already level 20+ and bored deciding to kill you, wait for you to respond come and kill you again and again and again and again. Eventually, that kind of PvP gets boring and yet Trolls just won't stop. They you find yourself quitting and complaining about the game and telling everyone how bad it is. Not because of the game, but because some players have no restraint. Now if you are lucky a player like myself may intervene, but then your attacker feels the same way you did, cause now I ruined their fun. So the money you gain from cheats and glitches to give you a upperhand? While others are grinding the game to death?1 point

Does the money situation suck currently? Yes. Is it a released game? No. It is beta. So what you are saying is that rather than test the game and offer feedback about what is wrong, you will do something you consider to be exploiting in order to benefit yourself. I have no issue with that. You do you. However "before you judge me"? Bugger off, mate. You willingly exploit in a sodding beta, you are being judged. Would you like a legitimate way to make decent money? I know it is not what you asked for but I will tell you anyway. Birds. Outside Saint Denis is easiest. Herons, pelicans, loons, ducks. Anything that flies. 40-60 dollars for ten minutes work. Only works during daylight though. Exploiting for personal gain hurts everyone who plays by unbalancing the economy. Is it crap right now? Yes. So offer feedback on the beta. Tell them what they need to fix to make the game successful and fun. Don't use it as an excuse to game the system.1 point

I was just hoping they would be able to curb it with an aggressive bounty system but it doesn't look like that's happening. Make it so killing other players comes with a harsh bounty and hunters at every corner. Make it so continuing to play the game after committing murder is burdensome and frustrating. Zero fun and costly to erase. Rockstar doesn't want that though. Or they would have done it. Hell, they did it in single player.1 point
-
Maybe that works for some, but I fall in the catagory where I stop playing this and go play something else. I spend money for me to have fun. PvP or Trolling what ever you want to call it, is becoming less fun, cause most players don't care to be the best, they just want to bully others.1 point
