YES! This is one of the most ludicrous things in the game. Like if you want to be a shitty player, other players should have a way of knowing. If I can run around and screw people over and ruin my rep and then throw a few bucks at Rockstar to clean my name, it is just a crap move.2 points

Rockstar wants to have it where they can continue to earn from the game without forcing people to buy things. As mentioned, this is the minimum. You can certainly earn much more in the span of 8 hours just with general exploring and leveling up. They need to take in something in order to keep pumping out new content. You aren't obligated to buy it but for people are willing to, it helps the game.2 points

Im sorry but to whoever you quoted. they definitely aren't gamers, more of a bandwagoner imo. 1st if they actually continued to play the story you actually get all your items back. 2nd It actually makes you feel desperate for a well liked character and you hope for a cure and wonder if at any moment he will drop dead or not. I personally was hoping there was some sort of cure. looked hopeful when rainfalls comes into play. (I guess a slight spoiler but if you're on RDO instead of playing the story then that's what happens) 3rd Yes its showing you that John was actually trying to be a law abiding man, and had to follow the rules and work humble jobs, not just getting in there and owning everything, pfft do you people lack imagination or understanding?? what you expected to be a billionaire after you literally lost everything John even mentions that they were robbed on the road. I'm all for bashing Rockstar for their current Online (im one of the few that thinks they started off horribly) but their single player was amazing, and was so damn good that I wish it kept going. I definitely believe it was one of the best falling at the top of the line with gears, halo, Last of Us and Detroit Become Human (best game ever story wise) I honestly hope people reconsider their choices and come back to rdr2's story not even to rdo, to finish it rather than hoping on their shooting games where they do the same repetitive shoot and kill they do in any game.2 points

Whichever way they decide to use the blips they need to factor in people who pay gold to correct their honor. There needs to be some sort of distinction so we know they're still a potential threat. Can't have someone grief for weeks and then they pay 3 gold to show up as harmless on my radar.2 points

I got struck by lightening yesterday out side of tumbleweed. That was a cool light show.... rumble, and a loud explosion and screen turned white as my guy flew like 15 feet. It was very obvious what happend, and quite frankly I had to go check my drawers.2 points

For those who have never heard of us before, we are The Born Brothers. We are not a clan nor are we just a posse, we are a well established brotherhood which originates from a group of people who have known each other for years in real life and Xbox who truly consider each other Brothers. Who have also led a successful movement in the Red Dead Redemption world during the first game. In Red Dead Redemption 2, you will see us riding together, patrolling the wild lands of the American West. We are a respectful posse led by Native Americans (in game characters). We never shoot at others unless we are shot at first or sense real hostility. We are a skillful gang that never uses auto-aim and even helps non-allied players at times. While we are friendly towards others, players who cross or disrespect us will always be met with a relentless justice. Together we: Hunt, Take stranger missions, Do gang hideouts, Occasional posse wars, and many more activities which involve the whole crew. (Meetings, story missions, promotional ceremonies, fight clubs, light role playing, and much more). We are in search of like-minded dedicated players interested in earning a place among our ranks who value Honor, Integrity, skill, and are looking to expand their experience within the Red Dead World beyond what the game has to offer. Visit us on our Website for more info: thebornbrothers.com We have a unique ranking structure derived from our ranks in the first game, adapted for a broader reach that fits with any character type that joins us, because although we're a crew led by Native characters we are open to everyone who is embracing the new lands and way of life. Those who do wish to be a part of the Brotherhood will be placed in our Prospect rank and will undergo a trial period where they will show whether or they are a good fit and decide if this is the crew they have been looking for. Once proving you are a capable warrior with honor and skill you will then become an Official Born Brother/Sister who will earn our lowest but highly regarded rank of Pathfinder where you will be given the opportunity to be more involved with the gang and achieve higher ranks. In time, you may gain the power to start recruiting like-minded individuals, create and develop an immersive backstory for your character where it would be displayed on the website for all to see (under the About Us page), create War Stories regarding events, battles and interactions within the Red Dead world which will also be displayed on the website, and to choose a specialized division amongst our ranks that matches your combat tactics and playstyle under a specified Warchief (Regardless everyone should be able to fight with all styles). Other responsibilities and roles can include: scout, escort, driver, assassin, supply runner, hunter, messenger, and more. Below are a couple of our ranks and their descriptions that fully captivate your growth, level of commitment, and loyalty you have shown in the Born Brothers Gang. Requirements: MUST PLAY ON FREE AIM or willing to adapt a Free Aim skillset for free aim lobbies in the future. We play mainly on Defensive Mode. Have a functioning Mic. Be in any of the USA time zones. Be Active. 17+ years of age. (exceptions will be made based on maturity) Your character must be the same gender as you are or identify as (for immersion). (requirements may be updated or changed entirely at any time). As stated above for those who are interested in Becoming a part of something greater than PvPing, grinding, being a lonewolf upon full release or a part of a Brotherhood in the Red Dead world beyond the features presented as well as other games then feel free to either Message me directly on the forums via messages or on this thread of recruitment otherwise you can go and click on the actual Posse page on these forums: The Born Brothers Gang and request to join and we will contact you shortly after. Also you could add any of the following people of the High Council: Born A Beast (Chieftain), Born Defiant (The Praetor), Born Homicidal (The Commissar), Born Vigorous (Warchief) via Xbox to get more information as well as the opportunity to become a brother or sister. Go forth in glory and may we see you on Red Dead! (Rules and an Application may be added in the near future).1 point

I am so happy to see older gamers on here. I only know a few over 35 and they aren't actively part of forums. Some don't really even know how to use a computer outside of basic tasks. I guess you can tell when a person has been invested in gaming and computers most of their life.1 point

"resume free rom where you left it" should be "resume free rom where the **** I want" 😅1 point

I don't understand why they allow other players to know where you will spawn back in. I have gotten killed and lassoed a number of times thanks to this. You should at least have a 30 to 60 second window of time before you can be attacked.1 point
-
This is probably the most annoying thing to me. I have signed out in camp to come back later and be surrounded by wolves or something. How they going to allow you to leave the game protected and then screw you over. I now find the nearest town and sign out in a bar or something.1 point
-
I had some random dude spawn in a bar I was in. It was an actual player. I don't know how that happened. He said he exited out of a mission or something. He couldn't leave the bar riding his horse either. He got off of it and the horse glitched itself into the wall.1 point
-
Judging by that video, the kickback would probably make me accidentally shoot my horse. lol1 point
-
Hi Mihail, This isn't a decision left to the player. A skin is either deposited in your bag automatically or requires being draped on your horse. The smaller of animals will be placed in your shoulder bag after you skin them. Others will be rolled up, tucked under your arm and then require you to place them on the horse or drop them. The biggest of them will be rolled up, carried on your shoulder and will take up the space behind your bedroll on your horse. Your horse can only carry one of these at a time.1 point

That is crazy looking. Thanks for the link. If anyone needs me I'll be standing on a mountain with my fishing rod out.1 point

lol, was he trying to emote wave... opps, fired my gun. I think I did that when I was lvl 5 and I only play on weekends especially when I have field work during the weekday. Those pesky controls.1 point

LOL I never had this happen. I love these rare glitches that you can get a laugh off of. Nice find. This the only time it has happened for you?1 point

Half the time I ride my horse on the roads, I kill about 2 or 3 animals by trampling between destinations. Once that challenge came up, I couldn't kill anything that easy. I ended up locking onto rabbits with L2 and full galloping in a circle chasing them until I killed them lol. I once stepped on a chipmunk 2 times and the little sh*t kept surviving lol1 point

I try not to buy things I can make at home. The upshot is, as a taller person, I can make things that work for my frame instead of buying off the shelf, and I can get it to look exactly how I want it to right out of the gate. Wood is surprisingly easy to use as a construction material with minimal training, and is very forgiving with a little bit of patience, trial and error. I actually built my own chair to sit in for gaming out of a wooden ceiling beam scrap leftover from when my folks had an addition put on their house 20+ years ago that was just lying around. Stain and poly with 1/2" black steel pipe fittings to make the arms, legs, and back all fit me comfortably. Built in a lumbar support with the pipe and some U-joints, and padded the arm and back rests with pipe insulation that was then covered with custom made covers that have Velcro seams so they can be washed as needed. Spray paint the pipe fittings and flanges with matte black finish and then secure them to the wood with screws, and I have a heavy duty chair ready to go. I've built tons of stuff for my house, storage lockers, coffee tables, and more. A desk, depending on the design and utility you are looking for, would be a fairly straightforward project. If you have the means and access to tools, you could probably build a decent computer desk for $50-$100 in lumber and hardware (stain, wood glue, screws, etc...). Depending on your level of comfort attempting something like that, a few hours of planning will go a long way to making something you'll take a lot of pride in.1 point

Well I noticed when I actually bother to speak they sometimes get upset cuz they realize I'm a woman or in some cases they think I'm a kid. Burns them up a bit. Their salt feeds me.1 point

It's really the ultimate troll move, and R* is aiding and abetting it. When you enter the cutscene, your character exits the map, but his or her silhouette stays. People can literally camp it until you come back, and then put one in your melon before you have a chance to move. It happens to me every time I do a "bring me a boat/wagon/horse mission that other people are encouraged to attack you at. They stay out of range until you enter the cut scene then pounce like single ladies when the bouquet is tossed at a wedding reception.1 point

You can also toss dynamite/fire bottles if you have them. Dynamite arrows, any spread damage (shotgun). Or yeah like they said wait it out. If you're lucky enough to get close enough to tackle them or rope them, there's that too.1 point
-
I think it's funny when someone decides to do that and their whole mini map lights up red cuz that person they shot was in a 7man posse then they get mowed down and deeply regret their actions...1 point

I like these creative short story reads. I will keep an eye on the thread. I can't write for piss but I enjoy reading stuff like this a lot. Great thread idea OP!1 point

yes its like the warning shot you can give if a player gets to close. it notifies them that if the get any closer you gonna kill em. think its aim. directional pad up and fire.1 point

Whew thats alot.. R* take notes haha. Peaceful ranching herding and hunting incentives would be amazing. Only played the 1 mission herding sheep and the 1 photography mission herding horses in solo. Along with that we will need a Meat Rack for storing carcasses in camp, a Pelt refining station to possibly turn good pelts into perfects using other ingredients. and CAMP STEW. Looking to games like New Vegas could be a really good idea for R*.. I dont think we will get campfires just *anywhere* but having the option to make a small fire and tent vs. a whole camp would be really nice. and being able to go inside your tent for sure. Hell yes to random events without being repetitive. Limits to 1 player activating them every 4-5 hours. NPCs could absolutely have new and better roles. Low honor should allow hiring Del Lobos or certain Mercenaries while high honor should allow bribing police or hiring bounty hunters/Grays. Low/ high honor should also affect what Missions you can accept and Honorable sheriff-type missions need to give player assassinations as well. So players dont miss out on mission types because of honor. But More player assasinations from low honor people like Joe or the Boy. Hiring NPCs and camp guards will be crucial. Completely agree about smoking longer just like drinking a beer, prostitutes should be acceptable in online as Arthur may have had his priorities / standards to not accept them and thats fine. They could easily have the screen go dark when you accept them and just wake up in the bedroom with your clothes back on n with cores refreshed. Instrument emotes or items purchasable for camp, banjo and harmonica. We share alot of the same ideas.1 point

People moaning but in truth weve all asked for realistic games for years.we should deal with it.its the wild west after all.wasnt a nice place to be or survive in.if you dont like the lobby change lobbies.i dont wanna see a game where its not realistic.and pussy foot around people because they dont like the gameplay.i hate being griefed but its apart of the game.if i struggle solo to much and get bullied i just leave lobby.cant control how others play just because some get fun out of griefing.or if people decide to try rob my mission.its annoying but fun at same time.i dont grief anyone but of someone tries it i will come back at them.if i decide ive had enough i will leave.its male ego that gets in the way.i couldnt care less if another player is quicker or better than me.good for him.just move on and enjoy this beautiful game.its only gonna get so much better.i never played read dead one and this game has blown my mind.peoples moaning is whats negative and taking the fun out of it.it is a work of art only this art can be perfected.keep the WILD WEST the WILD WEST.1 point

Yes bucky.im losing my mind with the whinging.the games forcing you to teaam up and have each others back.its why i bought it in the first place.i hope rockstar do not listen to all the moaning and actually make it a bit more rough.or the game wont last in my house.free roam means FREE ROAM.i actually sympaphise with rockstar on this.for once they have made beauty for it to be pulled apart one month into BETA stage.yes they will milk us for money but aslong as i get my fun and whoever is with me has fun i aint complaing.i like the grind because again aint life just a grind for us poorer folk.get on with it.ive had the game over a month im level 77 got 81 gold bars and 6000 dollars.upgraded cards and got weapons and horse i like.from this point i will just stack away until the major updates.i never bully and will protect others if i see bullying.. The Western Avengers will carry on.this game is a moral mindfield.peoples true colours will show.let it be.just add good realistic fun content to this game and DO NOT take out the realism of the western cowboy era.1 point

I hate the fact that this feature is always prominent in the latest rockstar games (GTA Online you could barrel-roll then aim and shoot with no accuracy loss). Although I would love to see more features come to Online, sooner. Right now it's just a constant grind of either missions, events or some form of hunting to go towards unlocking cosmetics, guns and horses only. If you think about it, there could be so much more that online offers that already exist in the game; Selling/buying ranches/homes or cottages. (Farming and managing/trading livestock) Trading of horses. Buying/selling/trading of wagons and coaches. A bounty system to deter griefing (the more you kill players who haven't shot at you or shown any aggression towards you the higher your bounty and it stays with you regardless of lobby refresh, just an idea). Private lobbies which we can invite friends and other players to hunt and just mess around free of worries. Free-aim lobbies. Flesh out the online story mission more maybe with appearances from more side characters from the Van Der Linde gang (e.g. Lenny handing out bank robbery missions, Pearson sending you for herb (other food items) gathering missions or Javier giving you train robbing missions, etc). More ways to interact with the train. An OFFICIAL FIGHT CLUB (this is my dream for online) where clubs can be formed with daily/weekly/monthly leaderboards and events to compete with other clubs, bets can be made, griefers can't ruin it and different locations/setting each time. Ability to sell or trades guns that you don't want anymore (the ability to remove any gun from weapon wheel and store in some sort of gun locker in your camp). PLEASE PLEASE more saved outfit slots (upgrading horse satchels giving ability to store more saved outfits). The ability to be a Hired gun. When activated, players in lobbies are able to see a list of available Hired guns and based on your stats/experience/honour can hire you for protection by an hourly/minute rate if they require only temporary protection without wanting to invite to posse. More horse breeds with more choices of coats to buy and more mane/tail styles. To be able to trade and actually sell horses, not just discard them) PASSIVE MODE and maybe a Passive Hunter mode to be able to only use the bow and other hunting weapons but not able to lock onto players and npc's, only animals. It should be noted that some of these features could already be planned for release soon, who knows. Let me know if I've missed any more ideas (which i'm sure there's plenty more).1 point

Yes, it is official this is a forum. I don't think it is backed by Rockstar. That would require them to pay people to monitor it.1 point
