5 days of no stranger missions or hideouts.just wondering is this the norm for most people here.i know they are updating the game but it seems excessive that i cant even get one to load then all missions go from the map and i have to close app to start again.

Other folks are having the same problem and some have reported that R* has acknowledged the issue and are working on it. Other than that, there is no new news on the topic.

Hello, Red Dead fam! I’m just enjoying the masterpiece that is Red Dead Redemption 2’s story mode, reuniting with Arthur for a second play through. I’ve dabbled in a little Online, but not too much just yet. (I think I’m level 16 there.) Just looking to meet fellow folk that enjoy this game as much as I do. I work in the oilfield industry and, when I’m not doing that, I make a few videos on my baby youtube channel. Here’s a pic of my Arthur and my beloved stallion Stormy that I found in the wild.

That's racist. Everything they do is calculated to protect the company from liability. I'm convinced that same logic is why they don't have official forums, to prevent employees from speaking in an official capacity. Limiting that gives less exposure from a liability standpoint.

This is open to everyone to comment on (the irony). Yes, this has to do with the #BuildTheWall that 'Mericans are going on and on about. What is your opinion on this? This isn't meant to start some political debate or get angry, I just want to read opinions on it. I am for border security as all countries should have a say who comes into their country. Letting in a bunch of uneducated and unskilled workers just adds to the already high levels of unemployment. If you want to come here for an opportunity be it education or career, I am fine with that but if you only want to come here to squat and take advantage of the country you end up hurting us the most, the ones born here, the citizens. I think building a wall is a great idea but it sends a bad message. Instead of building a wall, why not have more security guards on duty down there? This will create tons of jobs for people and also do what the wall would do in a more attractive fashion. Completely open borders is moronic but jumping from one extreme to the other isn't a good idea either.

Not really impressed either. Fishing challenges and new items sound ok, all the other stuff is more of the same and all PVP related. Hopefully the anti griefing mechanics work out for people. I for one am hoping that at least improvements will be made to the bugs and several glitches will be addressed as well. I just do not understand these software companies, a gazillion PVP games out there, let our fanbase not get the feeling we focus on PVE / MMO like content. Let's just alter the current game modes a bit and label it new content. On a positve note, perhaps I actually will like 1 of the new PVP modes and change my mind, although I sincerely doubt it. TLDR : Minimal "deeper" content will be added, no word on day1 bug fixes, not getting my hopes up for this and the wait for the next real update will be too long.

Just follow these steps: Press the Xbox button on your Xbox One controller. Press LB to arrive at the People tab. Select Find someone. Type the player's Gamertag. This will open their profile. Select Report or block. Select Block. The block will be immediately applied. I don't think there is an option in game but this should really make it harder for your friend and these people to be on the same server.

they need free aim lobbies like yesterday.. the griefing will come to a halt guaranteed at least 80-90% of it. hell keep auto aim for people who don't want to PvP and can auto aim all the NPCs they want but disable it when it comes to other players. bam problem solved

Especially, when you see how flawless and live the story mode is. I understand the online is a different thing, but it should be just as good as Story! IMO, they announced the ONLINE too fast.. The idea of putting it out as a beta, i understand, and respect.. But its so empty.. Maybe its different in one year? - But most of the things they said they will ad within this year, should have been added from the start..

I agree with Xped. .....especially if they are doing it through messaging as that would be definitive proof. Although nothing is likely to come of it, I would also try the R* in-game reporting option as well. On PS4 we have an option to block but I just don't know how that works on XB1.

If he's on Xbox, he should report them for harassment through the Xbox Live service. No one deserves to be harassed. That's not part of the game.

These commercial holidays are just that, commercial holidays. They are meant to target consumers to spend more and feel obligated to do it. I once dated a girl who broke up with me because I didn't get her anything on Valentine's Day. She didn't talk to me for a week after and when she finally did, she asked why and I told her I don't celebrate it. She said I made her feel worthless and look like a fool to her friends, then she dumped me. If your confidence in yourself our your relationship is based on a stupid holiday like this, you have problems. Couples like you and your wife are an inspiration. I wish more people felt this way.

I really didn't think anything of it. I mean it isn't that kind of game. It isn't like we are playing The Sims Red Dead Redemption 2 Edition or something.

R* is horrible when it comes to balancing their games and understanding their own game play mechanics in public sessions. GTA O proves that..looks like RD O will have the same issues. I mean, I kill players horses all the damn time and for good reason. Hostile player will try and stay on their horses, in order to keep wearing more hats to block head shots (Never without one). Yet I get punished for it with paying $4 for killing their horse. Sort of like GTA O.. Where people use vehicles to attack players from because it protects them from bullets or explosions.. Yet if you blow up the vehicle to deal with those pests you have to pay insurance for it. This is why I cringe when R* says they will add anti greifing mechanics to the game. Sure.. R*.. Sure you will...lol

The amount of draw on a crossbow needed to have a bolt puncture a target at anything more than a few meters or feet is going to require both a considerable amount of time and strength to properly secure. For the size of the device, it's wildly non-pragmatic for most small scale engagements, particularly when compared to the speed and efficiency of regular firearms. Riles and pistols have a longer effective range, larger loads (i.e. stopping power), are capable of firing more shots without being reloaded, and reload quicker than a crossbow. The only reason for a crossbow would be for an assassination mission where stealth was necessary, and a bow is more maneuverable and versatile (with a longer effective range) in those instances anyway. Realistically, the most practical application of a crossbow is for castle or fortification defense from a stationary position against a mobile opposing force. A crossbow affords the user more cover in tighter spaces (like atop the wall of a castle) than a bow or longbow, making it better suited when being besieged from a fortified position. Edit: I knew that course I took in college about medieval castles would pay off one day.

What I don't get are some of these YT personalities that should know better but still let slip racial/derogatory slurs that they then regret, make excuses and have to apologize for. .....especially when they portray themselves as "culturally sensitive". I'm far from being any kind of SJW and I certainly believe a lot of that stuff gets taken too far, folks being too sensitive, etc., but I would never say some of the things these people have said and I think there's no excuse for it. That's not the way I was raised nor the way I would raise my own child.

It worked the wars to build the replacement for the tangible European empires it denounced at Versailles in 1919 and created a hegemonic fiscal power base, an intangible empire if you will.... That has not lasted.... Because capitalism turns and the USA along with the UK are now majorly 5th world countries, post industrial and wandering a wasteland of economic misery ..... Both were built on vast export power and control of other countries trade... But that has all withered and now they are left with the patriotic sentiment of power, but not the actual export/fiscal power. It is difficult to explain this highly complex subject, simply ..... For an economy to grow in a capitalist model, one must have immigration of poor people ... They in fact do not take jobs, they create work by their presence... They are willing to work longer and harder for less money than 'a local' because in their view, the money has more value. This creates new work....... It is somewhat strange that America, entirely built on immigration now wants a wall... well, the lower classes and less educated of course. There are many parallels to be drawn between the conditions both social and political of the US and the UK presently with European conditions of the 1920's ... The masses are swallowing the exact same propaganda for the self same reasons..... Economic demise, poverty and mostly fear of the unknown. Whilst businessmen say "Leave me alone so I may prosper' .... The working class/blue collar say "I must be given work" ... When there is no work to be had they look for someone or something to blame ... Immigrants are a very simple target but not the issue in any manner. But people like Trump and the Brexit mob, they pounce on this ignorance and they preach FEAR - GREED - HATE, just like the Fascists or National Socialists or Ultra Nationalists or indeed, Communists .... "Your life is awful because of those people... they are taking what is yours and laughing at you...." Then the masses work out the hate part on their own ... Now the clever part, because they fill in the hate, all of a sudden they think it was all their idea ... as Dr P Joseph Goebbels correctly identified "Propaganda works best when those who are being manipulated are confident they are acting on their own free will" Jobs did not leave the USA or UK because of cheap wages per se, they left because the wages of the masses in those countries were dropping in real terms...... In the UK for example, ordinary workers have not seen a rise in their real income since the early 1970's and I suspect the US is the same...... So to sell them goods, one has to make them cheaper... so one sends the work elsewhere ... Today in China they send much work to Myanmar, because China has become too expensive for many products to be made there for it's local economy. The capitalist wheel never stops turning. However it gets worse, much worse very soon ....... The real issue and the change from 20th century Europe is Ai and AGi ...... Ai, Artificial Intelligence and the more problematic, AGi .....Artificial General Intelligence. Ai means we program a robotic machine to do something and it follows those instructions to the letter ... Nothing more or less... If you tell it to paint the car pink, it paints the car pink until told to stop. Or pours coffee or flips burgers ........ Whilst AGI means a computer brain which says ... I think, therefore I am and it learns exponentionally by it;s own powers as a human child does.... but at billions of times the speed In tests so far the issues start when these AGi units talk to another, the fact there is another 'brain' tells them they are in existence, they have something to make comparison with. .... So quite soon while you might tell it paint cars pink, it might decide it prefers blue, or you have too many pink cars. The real upshot is this ... The turn of capitalism has created the loss of millions of manufacturing jobs in the USA & UK ... for them to be replaced by poorly paid service industry work .... But within 30 years there will be no service industry work either, because AGi and Ai will be doing it. Then one has to start to talk about a Universal Basic Income model, as is already happening in the halls of power ... Somehow people, the masses, they have to be sustained when there is simply no work for them...... We are returning to Rome and 'Bread and Circus', or maybe 'Rollerball' ...... But certainly free food and free entertainment. The fundamental issue with that, as my wife a Dr of Psychology will tell you, is the complete loss of hope. Who really buys lottery tickets? Plays bingo and other non-skilled gambling? Poorer people.... Whilst it is often millions and millions to one that they will win.... they still expend a relatively high % of their income on hope. That is what they are buying, hope. So when you have no job, no possibility of a job, when your life choices are very limited and almost totally dictated ... where is the hope? Just as these same people say 'I must be given work', then 'I must be given food and entertainment' they will soon say 'I must be given hope' It is a conundrum yet to be answered ... But the wall? That's just a smoke screen to stop the masses thinking.
