After all the rumors, leaks, the petition, and the constant hope, you'd think Rockstar would have dropped a smidge of info about Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to PC by now - but no, the developer known for its secretive tendencies is quiet as a mouse. However, the recent release of the Rockstar Games Launcher and a mysterious rating board classification have us wonder whether it's finally happening? The Rockstar Games Launcher was released not too long ago, last week. Functioning just like any other game launcher used by most AAA publishers these days, it lets you download, install, play and buy Rockstar titles. You can activate your copies of supported titles even if you bought them or buy them via other means, allowing you to collect your entire library of Rockstar titles in one place. It's also only available on PC, of course, like any other game launcher app. To entice players to start using it and migrate over from whatever launcher or launchers they've been using until now, Rockstar is giving each new user a free copy of GTA: San Andreas which can be activated through the Launcher. However, chances are there's more behind this sudden release. Rockstar hasn't bothered with a proprietary launcher all this time even though other companies were putting them out left and right. The PC release of GTA 5, which is relatively speaking recent, would have been a great vehicle to push this app and get millions of users to adopt it, but instead Rockstar is relying on a game that is such an absolute classic - and really cheap, these days - that chances are most people who care have it already. It would make more sense to roll out the launcher with a new release, and if not, then we'd guess it being launched now means there is an upcoming major release that will require the launcher around the corner and that will boost user numbers. What release could it be if not Red Dead Redemption 2? The Rockstar Games Launcher on its own was hardly evidence of a PC port coming. It got us thinking, sure, but it wasn't enough. Then, in what seems like too much of a coincidence, the Australian Classification has rated Red Dead Redemption 2. The ratings board had already rated the game back when it was released, and games are only rated again if they are re-released on new platforms, as new games in the case of remasters, or if they are significantly changed. It wouldn't make sense for Rockstar to make large enough changes to warrant reclassification unannounced, and it's obviously too early to remaster the game - even Red Dead Redemption hasn't been remastered yet! Considering leaked footage of the alleged PC version's graphics menu sort of, kind of, confirmed that the port does exist, but isn't official yet, we're guessing this "coincidence" is everything but. It would make sense if Rockstar would put out the Rockstar Games Launcher to collect some starting users, as a proof of concept and to show the world it isn't a buggy mess in order to prevent it being a dealbreaker for some once they announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC will require its use, which it almost certainly will. Then again, Rockstar might be throwing us the curveball of the century and will announce Red Dead Redemption 2 on Nintendo Switch Pro. Better keep your eyes peeled for a possible announcement later this Fall! The post Is Red Dead Redemption 2 Finally Coming To PC? appeared first on RDR2.org. Read the full story1 point

I was getting disconnects all evening / night last night. I don't think it was my end. When I did get a decent connection there were only 12 people on the server. When it filled up to 20 I got dropps.1 point

*EDIT* Well that was quick! Rockstar have patched this. Amazing how quick they can issue patches when it jeopardizes the carrot on the string of playing a game you paid for on THEIR schedule. YAASSSS I've been following that post on Reddit all morning and even linked this forum in the comments, thanks for bringing this here, to my other RDO home Basically ANY limited stock item you may have viewed or purchased in the past may still be cached on your browsers history. The links are specific to item, gender and colour. There's a list being formed over on Reddit and I've managed to buy a few items I had missed this morning. If possible I'd request a bend in the rules to link the info compiled thus far from the original Reddit (to credit all involved) to be hosted permanently here. @Kean_1, your updates have come in handy to see what was added and when.1 point

Bretons is my favorite horse by far. I actually bought both of the level 20 Bretons. It has one of the best temperaments in the game by far. Only my Tiger Stripped Bay Mustang is a close second. They make this weeks Legendary Bounty a breeze especially the 4 and 5 star.1 point

You can dismiss your hunting wagon without worrying about losing any carcasses or pelts. Go to the same location you called for it.. Press X button to dismiss it. You won’t be able to call the wagon back for 2 mins. You can change weapons at your camp with the weapon locker. If I'm not near my camp, I just dismiss the hunting wagon call my horse & change weapons. I use the hunting wagon the same way Savage_Reaper uses it. As a storage unit & go back to horseback when I'm done.1 point

https://www.rdr2.org/forums/topic/6166-hunting-wagon-possible-spoilers/ I had a lot of the same frustrations as you. 😁 Call/dismiss the wagon using the stables option in the in-game menu - it becomes a lot more useful!! The way I use it now is travel around by horse as normal, make a kill, put it on horse. If I then find another animal as good or better I kill it, dismiss the horse, call the wagon and stow it, dismiss the wagon, call horse back again and continue. I still think it could be better (maybe it will be?) but it does a useful job.1 point

With the number of issues there have been with disconnects I don't buy into the argument that ISPs or router settings are the root cause. I don't have problems with any other internet connectivity when I get a RDO disconnect and the game should be able to work without people fiddling around with router settings, especially as these days most providers lock them down pretty well to reduce the chances of idiot users causing their own problems and flooding their call centres. The best piece of advice I've seen on here that I would absolutely recommend to everyone is to hard-wire your PS4/Xbox to the router. If your console is in another room then get some powerline adapters - they work great. It may well reduce your chances of disconnects but it will certainly give you a much smoother and stable online gaming experience (and faster downloads). I thought I was going to get a disconnect last night as the screen faded to black in free roam but to my surprise it came back again - not sure if this is something R* have improved on the matter, allowing a momentary dropout?1 point

Money isn't carried across from Arthur to John. However, you'll find that by the end of the main game, you won't need to worry about money at all. Arthur will have more than enough to suit his needs after a few treasure hunts/missions, as will John in the Epilogue (and beyond).1 point

I wonder if they changed their compensation policy in the knowledge that they had a fix coming on Tuesday? Or they had no way of telling which players had a valid claim and the sheer volume of cases caused management to stomp on the compensation? That doesn't change the fact you should be compensated properly though. When I got the 50 bars I was thinking that's not going to cover 21 days of getting way less gold than I could be earning, what with the new challenges paying gold too. Luckily for me there was then the bug (now fixed) that the multiplier didn't work on the role challenges so I wasn't losing as much. Now I'll probably just about break even or thereabouts. Good luck, I hope you get a positive outcome from R* Support.1 point

Or, you know, you can just blow both yourself and your opponent up with a stick of dynamite. I know that's my preferred method of conflict resolution.1 point

I found a guy sitting at my camp yesterday, he was shirtless and looking pretty ragged, he told me how he was hungry and asked me if I had any meat for him to eat, I had an option to give him some food or not, so I fed him, and then he ran off. I love how these various events keep popping up with variations to make the world feel so dynamic.1 point

Hey! I’m looking to find new posse members because my normal members haven’t been playing lately. I’m level 132. 20 collector, 20 trader, 9 bounty hunter. I’m 36, and prefer to play with adults. You’re welcome to add me on ps4: Lindseyloowho72 My posse name is Grab Em by the Posse. I don’t have any posse rules or anything like that. I just play the game and enjoy having other people to play with.1 point

I always thought they should have released an enhanced or remastered RDR1 prior to the release of RDR2. I would have bought it back then. ....probably still would now but definitely back then.1 point

Like I said, it’d never happen. But if it did, I’d pay full new release price for it. I’m sure many others would.1 point
