Hi Guys, I'm looking for a posse to join purely because I want to try this aspect of the game out. About me - Game ID is SIRG12345 (sorry first thing that came into my head when choosing a name) Mainly online 4/5 day a week 21:00 - 01:00 GMT and more at weekends Rank 86 First time playing any online game (so go easy) 20 in Bounty Hunter, Collector and Trader Prefer to use auto aim dual volcanics (sorry can't do manual aim, blame being old and new to Online) Currently doing stranger missions and building my bank balance and wardrobe but getting bored. I've done just about everything the game has to offer for now so just want to join others in whatever they want to do and have a laugh Anyone want me ?2 points

Rattlesnake Vaquero is the best combination of authentic old west appearance and performance . (imo)2 points

Thanks for the info. I understand that Gamestop has the Glacier White PS4 Pro and the regular PS4 Pro for $299.99 USD.2 points

Just wanted to let everyone know that Microsoft has the Xbox 360 Red Dead Redemption game on sale in their marketplace store. I've been waiting awhile to buy this game since it is compatible with the Xbox One, but it is always around $30.00 USD. Today I purchased it for $9.89 USD not to include tax. I belive it might cost a few dollars more if you don't have Xbox Gold. I think the Undead DLC is a seperate purchase around the same price, but I'm not sure. I would like to try it out in the future. Happy Black Friday shopping everyone. Feel free to tell us about all your new toys and items in this forum.1 point

I saw there was a thread just for PS4 so I figured it would be better to just have a general thread for the topic. You planning on shopping around for anything on Black Friday or Cyber Monday? I have a few gifts left to get and I am looking to get a new winter coat so hoping to find some stuff online either day.1 point

Although this update from R* is targeted at the PC community, @Moosh89 was kind enough to point out to me this little tidbit briefly mentioned in the following: And when the next major update to Red Dead Online comes to PC, PS4 and Xbox One this December, PC players will also receive a variant of the brand-new Marino Bandolier, plus a new Off-Hand Holster and additional care package as a gift. Stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for more details on that update and much more in the weeks to come.1 point

IMO, I would wait till you can get the saddle you REALLY want. To keep buying different saddles with slight increases as they become available is kind of a waste. I kept the same saddle (low level) for a looong time, and everything worked out fine.1 point

Could I interest you in some Arthur's Angels? Your time matches up with most of our members Apply within the Recruitment thread linked above ^^.1 point

I rarely ever needed my camp. It only really became really necessary when the new roles were introduced and even then it was really only needed for trading. The only other time it really was of any use to me was cooking but then again, you can cook an just about any open campfire you find. You can do most things without one actually.1 point

Black Turkoman? that would've been horse of the game imo. Ok, maybe donkey is a bit exaggerated. More of a mule then.😉1 point

I was really surprised when I saw that there would be a December update for RDO. I don't mind tho, of course. (I'd love for them to finally introduce properties!)1 point

I seem to have fixed my issues and have been playing for about 4 days now. I suspected (from reading elsewhere) that they did some stupid with the way the game was coded resulting in a couple of things:- 1.) Social Club will only embed itself into a C: drive. If you put it in any other drive it'll appear back in C: and causes issues. 2.) The game (and launcher) itself must be in the same place as the Social Club. My issue was that I have 3 drives with plenty of space but that my main C: drive was only 111GB and my system files and OS took up nearly all of it. So here's what I did and what has seemed to have fixed the issue. 1.) Wiped and unplugged all my drives. 2.) Hooked up one drive, my F: drive. 3.) Fresh install of windows 10 from boot USB. 4.) After installation the machine now recognises my large F: drive as my C: drive and has dumped my OS and system files in there as its the only drive connected. 5.) Downloaded DX12 (now I'm on windows 10) although I'm still using the Vulkan thing so this may not even matter (but half of computing is black magic witchcraft anyway). 6.) Installed RDR2, game, launcher, social club all into my new C: drive. Nothing else is plugged in so it cannot embed itself anywhere else. I currently don't have my other 2 drives plugged in but I assume it's safe to do them now.1 point

It doesn't need to be Ginseng, by the way. Other health herbs work as well. Or at least Milkweed does, I tried that the other day. And Milkweed is a lot more common than Ginseng.1 point

Nacogdoches is the best because it is the only saddle with 4 performance improvement stats instead of only 3. I don't like skull themed things, so wish there was a non-skull option for it, but the white version at least makes the skulls nearly invisible. Add the hooded stirrups and it does make a big difference in performance.1 point

Going to recommend this to my brother who I have been trying to get to buy RDR2 so he can play with me online. I think if he plays the first one, he will end up buying the second one. Heck, for less than $10, I'll just buy it for him and bother him till he plays it.1 point

Those are all pretty good deals. I am going to be keeping an eye out for accessories mostly. I would like to get a new controller for my PC.1 point

That did work. Tried it out the other day and meant to respond. Seems to be much less noticeable. I don't see it at night at all now. Thanks guys!1 point

I hardly ever see those around here. A friend of mine was looking for one just in August. I will let him know. He can check the stores in our area if he wants one bad enough.1 point

Stat-wise: Nacogdoches with Hooded stirrups all day, every day Looks-wise: Rattlesnake Vaquero or Fletcher (Trader saddle)1 point

But it's so damned ugly! For style points the Bounty Hunter special saddle looks nicer (a bit too bling, but never mind) and isn't too far behind on performance (with hooded stirrups also, of course). My silver Nokota isn't blessed with the top stamina in the game, but at lvl 4 bonding and careful use of the left stick click, she can sprint from one end of the map to the other without running out of puff using that setup.1 point

yep. it's still working. i never understood why it didn't work for a couple of days1 point

I did not. I ended up sending two more messages and finally heard back from them I think it was on Sunday. Not really much help but at least they responded finally.1 point

Red Dead Redemption is on sale in the Microsoft marketplace and is compatible with Xbox One. Gamestop has both the regular and glacier white PlayStation 4 Pro on sale for $299.99 USD. The PlayStation 4 Slim is going for $199.99 USD. Best Buy has the digital only Xbox One for $149.99 USD. The Xbox One S for $199.99 USD. The Xbox One X for $349.99 USD.1 point

I guess that is a fair point. It isn't like you won't have anything to play on it. Maybe this is just more the case for online gaming then. In which, kind of dies out after 2 years on old consoles.1 point

Kittens will always have high energy. My friend got one earlier this year and the second he hit the 6 month mark, he was bouncing off the walls. You just have to make sure you have enough time and patience to work with a kitten to train them. It helps to have a second kitten or an adult cat to help with training. They will mimic what other cats do in the house. Maybe consider adopting an adult cat who is great with kittens this time around. Lord knows there are always adults in need of a good home.1 point

I mean as long as it taste relatively the same, I don't care if it isn't as thick. Thanks for letting me know. I'll pick some up after work tomorrow.1 point
-
From what I know, kittens are a mixed bag. You are less likely to get a hyper, energetic, wall climber if the kitten you adopt comes from a home birthed litter. Ones that are born outside or have been outside previous will instinctively be more wild. You can also consider calmer breeds. It will be more expensive for sure but you will have a much higher chance of getting a kitten that doesn't keep you up all night.1 point

If you are going to go the route of declaw, only adopt an adult cat in a shelter who has already had this done. There is a reason it is being outlawed around the world. It causes long term nerve damage and emotional distress. I worked part time in a pet clinic when I was younger, they remove actual bone with the nail. It would be like removing your nails and the first bend of your finger tip at the joint. If you can't handle nails, try caps. If that isn't an option, get a bunny or something else small and less likely to claw. You never know what you will get with a kitten. I had raised a litter of three and while they were energetic, they weren't climbing the walls. They had each other to play with. Maybe consider adopting two kittens from the same litter.1 point
-
I'm of the mind that declawing is inhumane and cruel and really no different from cutting off a person's fingers. A cat's claws are its main defensive weapon and as much as it can be annoying when my cats set the furniture in their sights, I'd rather not take away their means of fighting back if they're ever attacked by someone or something.1 point
-
I believe it does wear off after some time, but it does damage your health core periodically the same way extreme temperatures do. I think I was forced to have it wear off as I didn't have any ginseng once. I just kept eating snacks to top off my core.1 point

I'm guessing your avatar is reflective of this situation? 🤣 I've had cats all my life and, yes, this is normal cat behavior. Sometimes they mellow out with age, sometimes they don't. It can be a crapshoot. Do you happen to know what breed the cat is? If you got him from a store that got him from a shelter, at least one of the two parties should know. Some breeds are more hyperactive than others. Bengals, for example, can be extremely hyperactive. Scratching is natural for them, since they have claws and all. Sometimes it's simply a matter of playing gone wrong and paying attention to what your cat was doing when the scratching occurs is the way to figure out if it's just play or defensive. Kneading, now (where they push their paws into you and continuously deploy and retract their claws), shouldn't be confused with scratching or clawing because it's a sign of affection they learn from their mothers from when she was still feeding them. Biting is, to some extent, also an affectionate behavior because of how their mother would carry them around as babies. I had a cat whose usual routine was to come to me, bit the absolute sh*t out of my chin, then she would become just about the most loving and affectionate creature on earth. Step one to solving the furniture scratching problem is to get a scratching post. Keep on the cat about not scratching on furniture and reward them with a treat when they use the scratching post, and they'll usually start to realize that everyone is happier when they use it instead of furniture. Another thing you can do, in addition to the scratching post, is identify the places where your cat scratches and, if the locations are convenient for you, put sticky paper or something like that on said spots because cats hate those kinds of surfaces.1 point

It depends on your system really. I would put TAA on medium like Anteronoid does and then change your screen resolution scale to 1.2501 point

I get some ghosting from the TAA Medium settings i use. Maybe it could be that? It'll go away if i turn off the TAA. Try experimenting with your AA settings.1 point
