Am i the only one, that cant stop Roleplaying for myself when i login to Red Dead Online? I dont have friends playing Red Dead, and i am mostly a sole player.. However, when i login i try do the stuff as realistic as possbile, because its fun.. Since the first few months of RDO, we have seen massive improvements, and updates, that makes it even better to play RDO in a Roleplay kinda way, but there is still a long long way to go, that i get the feeling will be adjusted in the future.. We know the "Animal spawn" problem, that needs to be fixed (and will be) but what about the Npcs being really really dull? - Sometimes i go into Story mode, and i just get blown away by the atmosphere that it has... that online misses.. and yeah, i get the fact that online has servers, with players and tons of other stuffs.. but with the content, and future content, why not add some more "Atmosphere" in the game? 🙂 This is why i made the topic.. to try figure if i am the only one, missing the content that i dont understand was not there from the start.. Give us the damn prostitutes in the cities.. GIve us access to the hotels Let us rent a room, and grab a bath! Give us the possibilty to tip our hats when riding slow past Npcs.. They all greet you, why cant we do it back to them?? Give us more, to use our money on.. i have around 36000 dollars ingame, but nothing really to use em on.. So the things above would be really awesome! Rockstar already hinted, that they will never add unrealistic stuff, that was not time related, so lets hope we get a shitload of things, that people on forums have been wanting for ages... Cause, FINALLY in the moonshiners update, we got our beloved "Bandoilers".. If we think Roleplay additions.. What would you guys love to have? - And am i totaly alone/lost with these things?4 points

While not as active as any subreddit, this place is definitely alive. It is well moderated so most of the time you get quality over quantity. Most active users try to lend tips and share information. You've been here for less than 24 hours by the looks of it. Stick around and contribute to conversations. Good things come in time. If fast paced is more your thing, with poor moderation (the same low effort content every 2 hours) and more unmemorable usernames than memorable ones, check out the subforums on reddit, where posts you actually like will get pushed into the netherrealm in 25 minutes.4 points

Well, I always see enough deer to fill a hunting wagon... But they’re plentiful enough to be a nuisance around here lol. But the difference is the method of hunting I’d imagine (I’m not really talking about the animal spawn issues, more the role play aspect here). When I hunt a deer in real life, I’m often looking for a certain type of deer... Or sometimes even a specific deer I have my eye on. So many deer pass by me without much notice. in the game, my character is hunting for a much different purpose. He’s simply looking for meat and bits for Cripps to make his trinkets out of. I’d say it’s more like what I do while trapping... Trying to fill up a pickup truck (hunting wagon) with as many useful pelts as I can get my hands on, while avoiding critters that aren’t worth the time it takes to skin them...3 points

Animal spawns are a bit low to be filling up Cripps in a timely manner but how often are you run down by animals in the RW? If you are roll playing and hunting. When animals are far and few between, it is more realistic. I may only run across a few dear in an hour of hunting but in real life isn't it sometimes even worse?2 points

I’m with you here and agree with the npc interactions, prostitutes and all you say ... I play the game the same way and have thought these very things ....also wish they would add the progressive hair growth like they have in the story mode, and you could shave and cut your hair the way you wanted instead of the instant change your style at the barbershop ..... can’t have a mustache or side burns, etc along with stubble ....2 points
-
Your not alone partner. All of our adult community likes to get imursed in the game. If you really play it right , like hunting , get off your horse and track the animal without alerting it ( when there are animals ) use a bow it's quite spectacular. And I agree that the things you mentioned need to be added to online. Such a masterpiece !! It just needs a little tweaking.2 points

Today I got half a gold for killing 5 crows. I got another .5 gold for picking 5 mint leaves... One gold total... but there was more.. I made 3.5 gold from dailies so far today AS THEY ARE ALL WORTH HALF A GOLD EACH AND i DID 7. Why are my dailies worth half a gold? Normally they are only worth .2 gold Because of the daily MULTIPLIER. To keep your multiplier going.. YOU MUST LOG IN EVERY DAY AND DO 1 DAILY... That's it.. That's the big secret. Sometimes a daily can be eating 3 camp stews... sometimes its killing 5 small birds or feeding a horse... there is usually one you can do almost instantly without leaving camp.. pet a dog, change theme, etc. So even if you are too busy... you can take a few minutes a day.... After 28 days you get 2.5 X value of daily... so I should only have gotten 1.4 gold from todays dailies (.2 each) .. but instead got 3.5 gold (.5 gold each)... and it adds up. I am not a person who likes buying gold or pay to play... but I have spent close to $100 on gold in the past year... once to buy an arabian near time game got lame with changes in spring.... and I spent $25 recently also to get the first pass for 35 gold bars. I had enough to get the pass and one role.... The pass quickly gave me enough gold to buy all roles... But I kept logging on and doing 1 daily every day since then.... because getting half a gold per lame daily.. is too easy. So now I'm on day 76 out of 28 day of dailies.... No resets (unless they read this). Each day I earned at least half a gold... usually 2-5. By the time moonshine update hit I had 150 gold (no purchases since I was gold poor in first pass). I had also bought certain items with gold in that time.. here and there.. maybe 30 gold worth... so I made about 180 gold... from last pass and doing dailies. So I bought this current pass.. the cookhouse... some clothes and upgrades... (including bar upgrades)... and I have leveled moonshine to lvl 20.... and I never had to buy any gold... and I have 25 gold again.. with nothing interesting left to buy. I own all game assets recipes, etc. But dailies give good gold... you need to log on for at least 5 minutes every day.... or buy gold like others... Im just cheap.2 points

MOONSHINE DELIVERY GLITCH SOLVED! MOONSHINE DELIVERY GLITCH SOLVED! MOONSHINE DELIVERY GLITCH SOLVED! Trying to get attention to this posting because it could save a lot of aggravation to some... I am a level 20 in moonshine role and believe the faulty deliveries were to locations based on customer/flavor. I AM NOT POSITIVE... Working THEORY! For example all the $226 deliveries work fine but a few of the $247 flavors/customers.. just will not work... but im not positive. If you notice this and are convinced it is accurate.. then maybe make it its own thread because its an important "fix" or method to bypass glitch.. if we can just skip a few higher end deliveries. Never re-flavor.. sell it cheaper. I THINK that helps bug out marcel. Stay in bar and drink 4 drinks of high end whiskey.. 1 drink past where it misspells.(not weak whiskey from barrels as it doesn't count to achievement/award/buckle). You need 100 self drunks... and even 5 and 25 achieves give some experience i think.. unsure. Then make sure marcel has started before doing something else.. like maggie (man is not made of wood)... and now you have an image of maggie in your head.. sorry. So... If you want to run moonshine glitch free... These tips MAY hep.. I'm pretty sure ??!?! I'm running high profit glitch free by watching netflix and going back for deliveries... it doesnt time out if you play in the band. I'm paying the higehr price for mash but enjoy the roadblock missions.. lots of loot... and ends at fast travel... and these cabins are remote... ugg... better to do a maggie mission and end closer to a travel post. So... GLITCH SOLVED... P.s. and if your not driving ALL your bootlegging missions on CINEMATIC MODE... your missing out. ALLWAYS DRIVE THROUGH ROADBLOCKS... half the time they let you just drive by... but if you hear enemies voices.. you have time to stop and face them... If they let you drive by.. they will never give chase. Please someone make FLAVOR/CUSTOMER Glitch remedy a thread if it proves true... It deserves a special place in our bootlegging knowledge (until glitches gone). Edit: Evergreen $226 delivery has bugged on me (perhaps customer changed?),.. but not the berry flavor yet... Deliveries seem to go to a few same places... and Im happy with that... at first I wanted a zillion recipes and flavors. but now I just want my $200/hr. I only do maggie missions to get to town or back to camp when leaving bar.2 points

I racked up 610 Gold bars doing dailies since the Spring update. Down to 462 Gold since the Moonshiner update. Try to do at least 2 a day incase one resets2 points

ON Ps4 CINEMATIC MODE (is correct name... I said "view mode" thinking people would know... It is akin to fast travel in story mode and old RDR. Just put your wagon in cinematic mode and it will bypass the roadblocks half the time.. They (NPC's) say , "move along", "keep this lane clear", or nothing... sometimes they say pull over... I always deliver 20 out of 20 bottles now. Got 1- 19 because of a phone call... 1 bottle will cost you $50 RDO If they wave you through.... drive through... nobody will stop you for rest of delivery... (pretty huge).. not one shot at you for entire deliveries If they say pull over for inspection.. keep driving.. by the time they start shooting you will not lose any bottles. However.. if they did shoot at you.. you will have a few chasers come after you in a few minutes... You will hear their voices well before they are in range. Stop cinematic mode... wait for them.. shoot em... loot em... continue... I use PS4 so For my cinematic mode I musty hit the large square button and hold it until it clicks in.. Then I can simply hold x to drive (weapon shouldered).... I drive ALL my wagons like this... most always. I am level 20 in moonshining... level 20 in all roles. level 70 (30 lvls to go before April) outlaw pass 2. level 170+ (unsure) in game... I normally win against griefers because I have all exploding ammo and keep them handy. Most griefers use normal ammo.. most.. not all... So TRY CINEMATIC MODE.... I highly recommend it both so you drive straight without crashing.. but also so you can go fix a coffee in the kitchen while driving your bottles or anything. or dont...2 points

Small tip though. Don't fill it up completely until after you've done a resupply mission, as that gives you some free materials. (Usually 5 or 20.)2 points
-
So let's say you have a delivery ready... Wagon is full with 100 pieces, ready to go. I realize the next step is to deliver the goods, but in the meantime before you make the delivery, if you keep donating to Cripps, are those donations gone or will they stay in queue for after you make the delivery? Would be nice to know because sometimes you'd rather wait for posse members to do a long distance delivery, and would be nice if while you were waiting you could stock up for the next one.1 point
-
I agree with you (sorry, in a hurry for Christmas stuff so not posting examples) but I have strategic faith that they will keep adding in the sort of content you're talking about.1 point
-
Pretty sure you can over-donate though, and lose materials - if you've gone into the donate materials option while its not grey and you keep adding from your satchel/horse/wagon it won't count them past 100% but will let you keep donating. It's only when you go back out to the trader summary screen that it will grey out the option if the bar is full. So if you're at 95% it will for instance let you donate a 3* cougar but you won't get full credit. When there were actual animals in this game I would stock up on all the things I could carry in my satchel to keep the bar topped off when I needed to.1 point
-
I'm down to a single page in my satchel for materials to give to Cripps and my wagon is empty for the first time since I bought it as the only way to supply Cripps for the past week has been from my reserves. I couldn't even find small birds to kill for one of yesterday's challenges. I did somehow manage to find the single alligator the game spawned when I had a hunting resupply mission a few days ago. Hell, I even ruined one of the moonshiner story missions because I got so excited spotting a deer that I just had to shoot it when I was supposed to be being stealthy. Typical R* update - some shiny new stuff (tho buggy as hell), a few fixes that we should have had ages ago, and a whole host of new & old broken gameplay mechanics.1 point
-
I would say it's a bug or server issue or whatever, not intentional, since animal spawns have been generally fine for me (on PC.) Some very iffy stretches the first day of the update, but since then I've had no major issues with animal spawns.1 point

Yeah, definitely do the Trade Route event, it's a lot of fun. Basically, you and a bunch of other players work together to defend a train from non-player enemies who attack it along the route. You earn however many goods survive at the end, up to 18.1 point

I did the Sam Elliot one from the same film and got him to level 75, only for a friend of mine to accidently delete him while at my house (Long Story). I am now running a Female Native which I am now very happy with and back up to level 67 with. Love the Doc Halliday character you have, looks great. Hoping the add another character slot in the future so I can have another crack at the Sam Eliot one, one of my all time favourite actors especially in Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze may he rest in peace.1 point

Thanks guys, I managed a whole level yesterday I am now level 9, I was getting really annoyed yesterday all I could get was small game like skunks a few birds and the odd rabbit, I forgot to mention to Freakshow that I haven't got a wagon being only level 9 and don't see the logic in buying one if there are no animals to put in to one. I keep seeing the Trade Route event popping up but had no idea what it was so have never tried it, the only ones I do are fishing and the salvage one which is awesome. I will keep plugging away and look into the Trade Route event..1 point

1 year ago..... I would wake up in the morning and switch on RDR2 before work. I would run around the three islands (the 3 you can run to each other) off rhodes. My goal would be to empty my .22 which held 100 rounds. Today I went there to fill up on mint (islands have like 20+) and did my same routine I did 100's of times before... Not 1 toad. Not 1 crab. Not 1 Iguna. Not 1 No eagles, owls, bunnies.... I thought maybe it was the added canoes.. but no... its like this everywhere. I got 3 ducks and a muskrat. I used to get my animal fat exclusively from ducks on that island.... now I go mostly for boars and "spotted pigs" by the station... (even thats nerfed). I liked the hunting.. Id rather they nerfed what the animals were worth than making us ride around like tools for 30 minutes at a time. The game is useless for hunting if they remove entire sections of animals depending upon what day it is or however they do it. The only way to hunt now is on mission servers (notice more bunnies when on missions.. there is a reason..).. so go on a delivery for cripps and deliver 1 item... then hunt ... or if he sends you to hunt a deer for trade with a trader... forget it and just hunt for yourself... you can always redo supply missions. Today I left the islands with 85 rounds in my .22 That's 85 more bullets than I used to leave with for same amount of time.. That is how many animals are taken out of the game... A good 85% I'd feel sorry for anyone starting now. I maxed out collecting and kept at it because I knew it would be nerfed. I got rich first... but a person starting today is screwed.1 point

Thanks everyone. Mizz Lucy, that would be cool. If you ever get an Xbox One, you can join me. I still haven't given up on the PC. Simon, I wouldn't mind you posting photos of your character here if you want to. Madrigalian, this was the first try, but it took forever to get the game to generate a character that I was comfortably starting with. I still wasn't certain until I was able to get to a barber and add the mustache. That is key and you won't know for certain until then.1 point
-
you can keep donating until the donation option is grayed out regardless if its ready for a delivery-I never make a delivery until I'm fully stocked1 point
-
Providing your Materials bar (the top one) is empty or has space in it, you can continue to donate materials for the next Goods delivery (bottom bar). I think a full Materials bar equals 50 goods so you'll have to top it up as Cripps produces product to sell by doing resupply missions/buying a resupply or donating to Cripps. If the Materials bar is full and your Goods still haven't been sold, you can no longer donate to Cripps.1 point

- Smaller player counts on free roam servers until the animal spawn issue is solved properly. Say 16 players max. - Matchmaking on the Maggie Fike moonshiner story missions - Speakeasy "drunk interactions" in/around all saloons and triggered by regular intoxication from beer/bourbon/whiskey/rum. - Daily challenges that count properly - Ability to own multiple dogs/pets but just choose a current "Active Companion". I like some of the other dogs available but I can't say goodbye to my goodest boi. - Moonshine delivery wagon damage buff (Currently if you cross a railroad track, river or a posse mate jumps onto the passenger seat, it damages your bottles) - Horse training at the stable to add stat bars to speed, acceleration and health which could cost $500 per bar with a max of 3 to 6 bars between all three categories depending on "tier" of the base horse. (Higher tier horses would get 3 bars, lower tier horses up to 6 bars) - A posse ability to chain multiple trader goods wagons into one caravan/sell mission if 3 or more members each have a wagon ready. More risk, more reward.1 point

For me personally it opened up a whole world of friendships. If you had asked me 10 years ago if some of my best friends in the world would be people I have never seen in real life, I'd say you were crazy. I now have a completely new appreciation for how much love you can have for people without sharing the same physical space. I have met many Reaper Lords in the real world, but the close bonds of friendship were there long before that. I am truly thankful to be part of this family.1 point
-
Yeah. A bunch. Like any group we have lots of different personalities and many stressors both internal and external. We've had our share of ups and downs but one of the great things about being a Reaper Lord is this sense of obligation to the club. We really do try to put the club first. It's hard to fully explain just how much work has gone into building the club. From the outside people only see the tip of the iceberg. Internally we have a massive operation that administers club business. Many LORDs are shocked at what they find after earning membership. What from the outside looks like any other gaming clan, on the inside operates more like a miniature government or corporation. It's too much for me to even go into. The point is, it's this underlying foundation that has allowed us to weather the storms. We have robust protocols in place for dealing with many situations and a collective sense of duty to the work done by those before us. Another significant factor is our culture. We have very well established ways of communicating, resolving issues and most importantly respecting each other. We certainly have arguments between members within the club, but it just doesn't get out of hand. When things start to get too hot, other members start jumping in to cool things off. I can't stress enough how important it is to just focus on family as well. We are very judicious in how much external drama we allow into our club. We focus on our friendships and what's best for us at all times. We pay very little mind to what other clubs think of us or our relationships with them. We certainly maintain friendships with like-minded clubs, but for others that seem to thrive on drama and conflict, we just ignore them.1 point

Since the update for me: -2 whitetail deer -3 jackrabbits - a dozen assorted songbirds -1 pronghorn I wish Cripps would take fish.1 point

A ton!!! Seriously. It takes a tremendous amount of work to keep the club running. As National President, I probably spend 15 or more hours per week dedicated to club work. Other positions within the hierarchy may require a little more or a little less, but it is damn near a part time job. The officers of the club often forgo game play time or other leisure activities for meetings, membership administration, conflict resolution, training, club promotion, event coordination and on and on. Serving the club requires a lot of personal effort and sacrifice, which leaves all of us with a high level of satisfaction. There's no pay and you don't usually feel the appreciation until your term is up, but knowing that serving the club requires so much personal sacrifice, even if no one else knows it, provides a great sense of pride and satisfaction. As for other pursuits, I personally have a family and a job that always come before anything, but I do find time for other pursuits, based largely on the outstanding team of individuals that run the club. We back each other up and cover down on each other's responsibilities when life or leisure calls. I fly 50-100 times per year for work, so nearly every week I'm flying somewhere. That provides me with lots of time in hotels at night to work on club business or get online to play with the LORDs. I also like doing motovlogs riding Harleys in some of the cities I visit.1 point

Unlike many role play organizations, we don't really have a story that we follow. Our form of role play is very light. We essentially agree to abide by certain rules, follow a chain of command and treat each other like family. The club was founded by a small group of very driven individuals that enjoyed riding motorcycles in real life, but also had a passion for gaming. They took knowledge of real life motorcycle club hierarchies and bylaws to form something resembling an MC in GTA. Based on what I know of the founding members, I think they always had their sights set high. In particular, the person that conceived of the club and took the first steps toward creating it is a very talented, confident, and driven individual. As in business or other endeavors, it often takes borderline fanatical vision and drive from a very small group of individuals to get something like this off the ground. The passion and do or die attitude at the founding of this club absolutely laid the solid foundation that we've built on in the years since.1 point

RDO is now vegan friendly All I know is until they fix this bug/Nerf I'm taking out the dairy cows and beating the Java chickens with a hammer daily as a sign of protest. It's so bad that I believe some dude stole my perfect cow pelt off the back of my horse while I was clearing a hideout (and the only reason I didn't torch him and his 2 man posse is because I'm not sure and have had a couple of large pelts disappear bug happening again)1 point

I've been hunting in New Austin the last couple of days and found almost no wildlife day or night. I found one ram yesterday and found a couple of small varmint type animals. That's it. No pigs, no pronghorns, no iguanas, almost no animals anywhere since the big moonshiner update.1 point

You probably already know this but you can check the stats of the saddles, and then remember you will add stirrups and that will make them even better. But you can comapre saddles tats to give you an idea of what to expect, the Nocolches is the one to match or beat, it is simply the best as far as stamina drain is concerned, you can run forever without losing stamina, But if you dont love the look some other pretty solid options are: If you are planning on doing a lot of running around the map and missions, then use the Noco, or try it anyway, then try your favorite looking saddle and se what the different in your game play is like so you can decide how important it is for you to have the very best in stamina drain. The new one for the moonshiner role is really good, again, if you like the look it is hit or miss, but I tried it with the best stirrups and it was really good. My old favorite was the Panther one, it is very good, as is the beaver roping and rattlesnake one too, all need the best stirrups and you still need to praise the horse as you ride hard for long distances, but they are of the top saddles. The Black and gold one that came with the bounty hunter role I forget the name, is also pretty good, I use it a lot on a few of my horses just because with my outfit and horse it looks amazing, it isnt as good as the Noco but it isnt a problem either. all you have to do is to praise the horse very so often to kind of refresh or sort of partially reset the stamina, on the Noco you basically dont even have to do that, but with these others you will have too here and there but its pretty simple and straight forward, I have many saddles I use them based on how they look on a given horse and what I am wearing, but lately I made a couple outfits that using the various Noco saddles look fine, I have 3 different ones, the blue, the red and the grey. DOnt be afraid to buy and try saddles, my advice is never spend gold on one if you can help it, use cash. Cash is very easy to come by in this game, use your trader and collector roles to make a lot of cash fast, you can make upwards of $4000 in a day if you apply yourself, and with the cash you can buy these saddles, most of them, I think tthe panther saddle is gold only and I think it is like 18 gold, but to me it was well worth it, I'm pretty sure there was no nocodolches saddle when I bought my panther saddle, and even though it is tan, I used it on my Grey Trotter because it was so good, but now things are different, there are a lot of great saddles.1 point
