  1. I hope you are also submitting your feedback to R* via their Beta Feedback site: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback?step=f2e50892 Just be warned that there is a 500 character limit so you would either need to reword your suggestion/grievance or break it up into separate topics. Telling us why your leaving the game is all well and good but won't make a bit of difference since this is a fan forum (not affiliated with R* / 2K).
  2. Well, cosmetics are certainly going to be part of it but I'm also expecting to see more content in the way of gameplay. Unfortunately for me, the content that is PvP related (PvP game modes) is not something I tend to enjoy. Time will tell.... EDIT: btw, CoD MW Remastered is free this month for PS+ subscribers. THat may give you a little something to do in the meantime and won't cost you anything.
  3. I was about to buy this last night until I looked at the damage stat. Doesn't seem worth it to me over say the Lancaster or Litchfield. The ammo capacity seems to be the real selling point. I'll still get it but maybe for shooting some game? I don't have too many instances where I find myself in a bad way because I ran out of ammo with those other two repeaters. ......and as it is, I find the Lancaster effective but just on the edge of lacking enough umph in some situations (requiring 1-2 more shots to get the job done). Yeah, I'm not too good at headshots either so the Evan's may not see too much use in my arsenal.
  4. @HOTSKIP, There are many things they will be adding over time. R* has mentioned before the game's release and since that the RDO Beta will be (and is) a work in progress. Personally, I would suggest that you also submit your suggestions directly to R* through their Beta Feedback website: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback?step=f2e50892
  5. Well, a glimmer of good news is that since last week they have been saying to expect more content, updates, bonuses, etc. on a more regular basis. Last week: "Stay tuned each week for new content, bonuses, limited time clothing and more coming in and out of the Red Dead Online Beta and keep an eye out for more updates as we continue improving and growing the world of Red Dead Online." This week: "Stay tuned for a raft of updates big and small including gameplay like the Fishing Challenge, new Showdown Modes, and Target Races – along with new weekly bonuses and a lot more."
  6. Hi @DNMNetTech and welcome to the forums. If it's all the same to everyone here, I'm going to merge this with the "Constant Disconnect" thread you mentioned @Foxtrot. I'll edit the first sentence of the post so it melds in. EDIT: Ooops. Guess I inadvertently locked this thread when merging Tech's response. .....sorry all. It's been corrected.
  7. I got 2 or 3 last night. One was after my friend logged off and before I finished up for the evening.
  8. Yeah, I remember an instance or two in GTA where they did this. I believe one was due to some changes but I can't really recall the details.
  9. What I found discouraging was that you would even think this : "makes me wonder how many other topics a mod didn't agree with were "moved", "buried" or simply deleted" Of course I would give the benefit of the doubt as to why it was moved there. .....because I wouldn't for a minute think one of the mods would do it out of spite. How about this.... We don't "move, bury or delete" things simply because we don't agree with them. I think that's pretty clear cut.
  10. Yeah, this is a good point. I discovered this last night. Another thing that was a pleasant surprise is that you're also able to open your catalogue while on horseback.
  11. Seriously nshanny? You really think that of me or one of the other mods here? I told you why one of the other mods moved it. If you're going to accuse us of purposely deleting content, etc. simply because of a difference if opinion, I think we're done here. .....unbelievable.
  12. It's not being buried. If it was elsewhere then another mod likely moved it into that thread to tidy up the forum.
  13. It's a bug that has persisted since the start of the beta for some including myself but seemingly made worse after the update. You should report it like I did. https://support.rockstargames.com/categories/115001624507?redirect_lang=en_us&_ga=2.175482978.1704273439.1551943099-1719606522.1525287356
  14. No, your post is in this thread so I will go ahead and close this one out:
  15. On the topic of submitting feedback to R* that @dIV4r suggested, here is the link in case you're interested: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback?step=f2e50892 There is a 500 character limit but there is no limit on the amount of times you are allowed to submit feedback on that website. ....so breaking it down may be your best bet. Either way, suggestions are always welcome (and encouraged) to be shared here to spread the word, bounce off others, start a discussion, etc.
  16. It's certainly not perfect but I think some folks are not aware of the advanced option in the character creation menus. I know I wasn;t and even recreated my character early on after release of the beta. Either way, this is certainly something they may decide to revisit which would likely bring an opportunity for folks to personalize their characters for free. I also suspect they might allow multiple characters at some point like they did in GTA but we'll have to see.
  17. GTA gives players the ability to change the look of their character. ......but it's for a price. However, they have a couple times over the course of the game allowed players to change their character for free. I suspect at some point R* will do the same in RDO.
  18. Some of the ones from "the Boy" are pretty fun too although I feel like beating him to a pulp. ......and Shaky for that matter. It's like talking to a tweaker.
  19. I agree @The_Liquor. Sure, games have become more expensive. ......to make. Game prices on the other hand have remained relatively unchanged for years. AAA game companies have a responsibility to their customers but they also have a responsibility to their shareholders. This is a business. A business that needs to make money but also needs to appeal to its consumers. You can't do one without the other. If consumers were not buying the product and continuing to play, these games would not continue to exist. Online games are moving to a GaaS model. A model that relies on MTXs to survive. In R*s case, these are MTXs that are not P2W based but essentially all cosmetic. The more people you can get to play your online game (including those that never buy MTXs), the more money the company stands to make, the more content they are able to release and the longer they are able to sustain it. The fact is that R* has one of the most successful GaaS models to date with GTAO. If I had to put my money on the doom & gloom'ers or R* on RDOs success, I'll take R*. Now, that doesn't mean that I won't agree with everything they do in the game. Hell, I may even shelve it at some point. .....but I can't buy into the implications of many of these opinion pieces, articles, etc. that RDO is on a path to failure because some people can't accept that the game is in beta and continues to be a work in progress. ....something R* & 2K have been very clear about since before release.
  20. Not all posses are structured like that. There are plenty of folks who have established a pool of players that they game with on a casual level. I know I do. If someone is on we see if we can join and do what activities the group wants to do. Sometimes it's just me, sometimes just a friend and other times a full party. The Gold Bar system is essentially all cosmetic items. R* has already said that is what the system will be and I don't see that changing anytime soon. We have no reason to assume they will begin to lock more powerful weapons, etc. behind a paywall. Pay to shortcut is one thing but P2W is not the route R* is interested in going in their GaaS model.
  21. All of the above except the part where it involves griefing others or being griefed. ......and no, I don't consider it "griefing" during missions, assassinations or even random encounters gone bad.
  22. Yeah, I definitely can see them wiping profits made by exploits. ......it's Kean btw (one "e").
  23. Been happy with my Sony Gold's so far. .....although the first one broke.
  24. As tempting as that may be, we can't condone what we call "naming & shaming" here for several reasons. ....one being is that it's against forum rules (sorry). However, as I have recommended many times before, I suggest folks block and report (when appropriate) those that have shown disruptive behavior.
