  1. I know its not scientific but I bought them for mine and didn't notice any difference (online). I really wish R* would provide feedback on items like these as to what (if any) advantage they have in-game. For things like saddles it's easy to see their effect because they have descriptions showing what they are. Are these others things simply cosmetic or are they intended to provide a benefit?
  2. Oh no Mahuk.... I knew you were joking around. I just mentioned it because I submitted the complaint earlier today and they responded. I saw your reply and just thought I would mention it is all. 😀
  3. fyi... I received a response from R* Support that they are aware of the issue and working on it. I just hope it gets addressed in one of the updates coming sooner rather than later. .....but I could say that for a lot of the issues.
  4. Fyi.... I contacted Sony and couldn't get a straight answer to my question that if I block someone through PSN if it will keep me from being matched to that player in the game (specifically RDO). They kept running around the question with their answers instead of just giving me a straight yes or no. THey referred me to R* which is no surprise. It appears that the PSN block doesn't control that but game developers may take it into account. ....or (more likely), game devs don't take that into account at all and base blocks on their own in-game features, reporting techniques, etc. I guess at this point it appears it really doesn't help blocking people. .....unless the guy had no idea what he was talking about which it seems like that may have been the case since he kept dancing around the question.
  5. You might want to also try going through R* Support to ask them. https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback?step=f2e50892 Report it as a technical issue and see if that gets you an answer.
  6. I know, it sucks. I take it XB1 has a block feature? I would use it. I would also use the report option in the menu to report "disruptive behavior". Personally, as soon as everyone else started spawning in, I would have moved on. .....especially once the griefer showed himself. I would have slipped away as he trolled the other players who stayed behind. As bad as that sounds, you gotta do what ya gotta do. I guess we just have to see how the anti-griefing measures pan out. I'm a little skeptical too.
  7. This has nothing to do with me being a moderator or a reflection on RDR2.org. My replies to you have been from one community member to another simply asking you to show the same level of respect I have shown you here. I would have replied the same if I weren't a mod. The only difference then would be that I would have simply added you to my ignore list. Again, I wasn't the one making the "spewing nonsense" remark about you had to say so if that's taking the high road because I don't, then so be it. Good luck Luke.
  8. Yes, it is. It's refreshing given how toxic many other forums can be that I've been a part of over the years. The community in general is very nice.
  9. I'm not the one who was saying you were "spewing nonsense" now was I. I've been quite civil about it. We're done. Let it go.
  10. I think it's apparent that R* is dead set on blending PvP and PvE together in their games. I don't think RDO will ever truly be a PvE experience unless they introduce private sessions. However, I also believe R* wants to take a different tack with RDO in the sense of how far they are going to allow trolls to grief unwilling victims in this game. Frankly, I don't think the fixes they have announced will actually get us to the point where everyone is satisfied that griefing has been addressed. Quite honestly, while I thought it was a great idea before, I am now having reservations about the proximity blips. As it is, I can currently see everyone on the map so I know the places to avoid. With proximity blips, griefers will have a level of anonymity too. .....at least until they start killing people. Watching your back will be even more difficult. I like the marking idea for griefers but still not sure on the while proximity idea. I guess we'll have to see how that works out. IMO, I think trolls may use this to some sort of advantage at least in the beginning since the marking of trolls will be implemented after the proximity change according to the update:
  11. Nonsense? You were suggesting folks on roofs were "glitching" which they are not but you chose to ignore the point and get into the semantics of the term exploit. An "exploit" or even a "glitch" is a flaw in the game's mechanics, game world, programming, etc. that people take advantage of. In this case (and the main point), the rooftops are accessible to all players by design. There are ladders everywhere in the towns as well as the climbing mechanic that you can use. That is not an exploit, glitch or a cheat and neither is shooting up the town from that position. To Skully's point, if someone is shooting up NPCs from those positions to gain XP, there's nothing to report. If however they are griefing players from those positions, then report it as disruptive behavior using the in-game feature if you so choose. I would also suggest blocking them as I do. As for "cheats" and real exploits, again, I would encourage you to report this kind of behavior to R* if you have proof. I'd be happy to continue this discussion with you in a civil manner (as I have been) but not if you're going to become disrespectful. Seems a select few of you have been projecting your frustrations with the game / R* on fellow community members. You need to remember that this is a fan site, not a R* forum.
  12. I would keep up the input if you have new information to share with them. Repeatability is a big help when trying to diagnose problems. If you find it drops at certain times, instances, etc. (like what you said when you get close to other players), I would let them know that bit of info if you aren't already. For me, while it doesn't happen frequently, it's usually when I'm in a posse. I'll wager it has something to do with player lag and how it affects others. I've had problems in posses before and then when one player leaves, everything goes back to normal. This may be totally unrelated but in GTAVO players were able to use an exploit using the MTU settings on PS4s to force themselves into a public session alone. I use it because I hate griefers but still want to participate in the CEO / VP missions, etc. Anyhow, my point is that I tried this exploit in RDO and it would not connect. In fact (IIRC), I had to have my MTU setting set to 1500 (max) or close to even get a connection. It makes me wonder that perhaps RDO is less forgiving of fluctuations in internet performance? .....I dunno, I'm relatively clueless when it comes to network matters.
  13. No problem. Please share anything you find out from Sony as I'm quite curious as well. Thanks.
  14. In GTA you were given the choice IIRC to close the mission of to others to fill the rest of the empty slots. Could be a missing component/option that they may some day include in the matchmaking process.
  15. Likely part of some future content like heists in GTA.
  16. Agreed..... I don't like the parley system but it should at least be applied to the whole posse or why don't they just make it that the player can't be killed by anyone in the session and vice versa for those 10 minutes?
  17. Tried that and it doesn't work. .....at least I my case. As soon as the next item sells, the ones that didn't will simply disappear with no cash value added to your funds.
  18. You had two threads open for the same topic. Likely a mistake. I closed the other one for you. It also appears you copied an unintended format with your text so I fixed that for you as well so your message could be more easily viewed.
  19. That's not what he was saying at all. As for exploits, his point is that you don't need to use exploits to do what was described. The roofs are accessible to everyone. He was not excusing griefing, just the opposite. If you know of someone using a glitch / exploit, then report them. If someone is griefing you, then report them. ....and block them.
  20. You do essentially what I do. If someone is tracking me, making a bee line for me when I'm off road, etc., I don;t hesitate to shoot first after making sure I don;t know them. It also depends on where I'm at (e.g. in a town, on the road, at a mission point, etc.). It most cases, it pretty apparent what their motives are IMO/IME.
  21. Nope. I have been paying attention to the amounts provided and when I click on some pelts it simply does nothing. Once I click on an item that I can sell, the items that did nothing will then disappear.
  22. I would just suggest that you make the replies meaningful rather than simply trying to reach a particular post count. .....but there are plenty of subjects being discussed around here so it shouldn't be too difficult to find ones to participate in.
  23. Hi Zombie, While I'm not in the UK, we have quite a few folks from that region in our group. Feel free to join if you're looking to meet more people in your area to co-op with: I have also set up a PSN Community group for the same purpose (to meet like minded people to team up with). It's "Red Dead Redemption 2 - TeamUp" (without the quotes).
  24. I know I've said this a million times before but I would encourage folks that do have problems to report them to R* perhaps even providing your screen print. https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback?step=f2e50892
