VICKSUN Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 lolcallofpoopy You know the only reason that game is ranked higher is that of all the 8 to 15-year-old screaming children who pester their parents to get the game for them.
DiamondDave Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 This weekend is going to go fast but I have a feeling Monday will be the longest Monday in my existence. Followed by a longer Tuesday...Wednesday... Thursday... 1
NewsBot Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 In case you haven't pre-ordered Red Dead Redemption 2 and are waiting on reviews to make your decision, you'll have to wait until just a day before release. Metacritic has confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 reviews will start being posted on Thursday, October 25th at 4:01 AM Pacific time. Publishers set review embargos on their video games based on a number of factors and major publications generally never break them. Not unless they want to risk being blacklisted and never getting review copies from that publisher again. Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4/XONE): https://t.co/OGdzvWX9tzReviews will start going up on Thursday, October 25 at 4:01am Pacific. Any Metascore predictions for this HIGHLY anticipated title? pic.twitter.com/RUIBXk7ood — metacritic (@metacritic) October 16, 2018 There are some superstitions about embargo dates, with a general assumption being that the closer to release date they are lifted the less confident the publisher is in the game. Some titles have reviews go up a week before release, maybe even more, though that is rare. A couple of days before is common. A day before is also fairly frequent but some take it as a bad sign. If a game's review embargo is lifted upon launch, or even after it (this has happened on occasion) it might mean the publisher knows something is wrong and they want to avoid canceled pre-orders. In practical terms, these theories rarely hold true. Keeping in mind that publishers also have their own unique rules or preferences, even a game that the creators are highly confident about might have reviews embargoed until the last minute. Knowing Rockstar and their secretive nature, the embargo simply seeks to maintain an air of mystery around the game that has been present since its announcement. It's also a way of keeping spoilers from being, well, spoiled. Red Dead Redemption retains a particularly high Metacritic score of 95 and many fans expect Red Dead Redemption 2 to outperform it in terms of critical reception. In recent years, Metacritic has drawn some criticism in its skewed representation of public opinion, with some development companies controversially adopting it as an unofficial means to gauge the success of their employee's work. Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released next Friday, October 26. You can watch the launch trailer here. The post Red Dead Redemption 2 Reviews Coming Thursday 25th appeared first on RDR2. Kkhrome Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 https://yourcountdown.to/red-dead-redemption-2 Not long to go now. And I've taken a week off to play it. Can't wait! 1
NewsBot Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 The long wait is almost over. In just a few days, Red Dead Redemption 2 will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One worldwide, and fans of the series will finally be able to see if Arthur Morgan will replace John Marston as the hero, or anti-hero, the Old West needed. PC players, however, will not be able to join in the fun on October 26th, and it seems like they won't be able to for quite some time. In last couple of days, Dutch retailer MediaMarkt listed and announced Red Dead Redemption 2 for the PC. The listing has now been removed, but in the meantime it excited many of those who don't own a gaming console about a possible, imminent release. Sadly for them, it's been confirmed by one of the retailer's representatives to Wccftech that the listing was just a placeholder and that they don't actually possess any behind-the-scenes info regarding a PC release. Instead, MediaMarkt was simply counting on a PC version getting announced eventually, and so they jumped the gun and opened pre-orders. Considering the state of the video games market right now, it's unlikely that Red Dead Redemption 2 will follow its predecessor in not getting a PC release. Outside of very few titles, like Sony and Nintendo first-party titles, most major console releases are also coming to PC, often with improvements not seen on PS4, Xbox One and Switch versions. Let's also not forget that Rockstar Games' previous big open world title, Grand Theft Auto V, didn't get a PC release at first, with the game first launching on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 before getting an enhanced port on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, complete with some additional features like first-person view, and then later appearing on PC. The possibility of a next-gen enhanced port of Red Dead Redemption 2 is far from being unlikely as well, considering the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles are approaching their fifth year since release, and new hardware is on the horizon. Even without speculation and considering the platform release schedule of GTA 5, it's quite probable that Red Dead Redemption 2 will release on PC, as we have received plenty of evidence since the original PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only announcement. Two years ago, a database leak from Denuvo, the provider of the most widely used DRM software, confirmed that Rockstar Games would be using their services in the future. Then four months ago, a programmer who worked over seven years at Rockstar Leeds listed, listed the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 amongst the games he worked on. Mention of the PC version was promptly removed, adding more fuel to the fire. For now though, Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive are keeping their mouths shut, and so the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 will continue to exist only in the realms of speculation and possibility. In the meantime, we're looking forward to finally playing the game on our consoles in a couple of days time. ashaantha Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 Does anyone know what happens to your horse if you get too far away from it? will it just hang around where you left it until you go back to it? For example: you hitch a ride on a train or something, leaving the horse behind.. will it walk back to a stable, the gang camp or just stay there no matter how long you're gone for? or will something happen like it disappear and you lose it? sure I may have to wait to find out on release day but it's basically the only thing I'm cautious about, lol.

From what i've heard/picked up from the various previews, your horse will stay where you left it and you will have to go and retrieve it. You will only be able to whistle it if its within a certain radius of you. The better the bond you have with your horse, the wider that radius is. 2
YodaMan 3D Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 I can't imagine that they would leave you stranded without your horse cause you went to do a mission and had to leave you horse behind. Most of the online stuff they give you a way to get your vehicle or horse to be delivered to you.

I did know about the whistle thing and it's limited distances, I don't think it's going to help me though! Now I just have to just try and remember where I leave my horse when I go off adventuring on foot... 😂 Not long now! 1
