What is this Murfree Brood Online? The females are even worse. They are all old (even with 18 on slider and complexion adjustments). They are lumpy and disgusting. Rotten teeth, deep wrinkles, unrealistic facial proportions. I just want to be Charlotte, or Sadie. They made them ugly on purpose! The main game everyone is good looking! I am not even going to play unless they fix this.3 points

Obligatory "Post your Creature-I mean Character" thread, anyone? Man, I was appalled when I saw the default "Granny" offered to me. I tried my best to make her look like "sort of" Me at the ripe age of 29, but daaamn, there's some Neanderthal-looking ladies options. And no option to pick separate eyebrows or eye colours? Your eyebrows are tied to the brow bone width, and even the "Narrow" option has a massively round head at the top. Pic incoming of my completed Character... If you visit a Barber, you can get nicer hair styles and not look like you fell out of the hayloft. I got excited to see "Dentistry" offered at the Barber, so I was gonna get me some pearly whites instead of my piss-brown "Chompers" but NOOOPE, you can only choose the exact same options you first get, except the really nasty ones are super expensive!3 points

Feature Request for RDR2 Online: Having everyone shown on the map is discouraging. It creates a toxic environment for players whose main focus to piss others off by killing them repeatedly and makes it too easy to find others. Solution below. Spotting Players: How it would work: "Spotting" another player would mark them on the map for you (or everyone) to see for a limited time (i.e. 2 minutes). Introducing a player spotting system would provide the community with the following benefits: 1. Reduce the amount of unnecessary PVP by trolls who kill others while trying to do tasks, missions, etc. 2. Encourage players to "scout" enemies before engaging. People would use binoculars, scopes, etc before engaging to ensure their target is not with a crew of other players. 3. Increase the online mode's realism. 4. There would be large community support for this - many posts on Reddit would confirm this idea as beneficial for the community. 5. Encourage use of microphone/global chat vs party. Thank you! Matt Rockstar responded to me! They gave me this link to submit the feature request: www.rockstargames.com/mouthoff. They told me the more people that submit the feature the more likely they will implement the feature!2 points

That's what I meant, and also what I figured they would do... I need to play it myself, but as of right now you have my support. Sounds like a much better way to do it to me. I hated GTAO because of that...2 points

There's your update. Didn't they just announce the release schedule recently?2 points

Rockstar Support Twitter posted about an hour ago "We are aware of an issue affecting Xbox One Ultimate Edition players not being able to access Red Dead Online. Please be patient as we investigate this issue." https://twitter.com/RockstarSupport/status/1067428861485420544 It seems there's a small number of PS4 players not able to connect either, but the Xbox issue seems to be affecting all players. I myself have been sitting here for two hours now, unable to connect, just looking for info on why it's not working, seeing streamers not connecting (have been trying to avoid people actually in the game, don't want any spoilers), people without the Ultimate Edition complaining they can't get on, etc. About to have to leave for work, hoping it'll be working when I get home.2 points

At first I was thinking that the name for each actual symbol would be the actual English word for what it is, But House, Lizard, Lizard... but that didnt make any sense. So then I converted each symbol to the respective year. and got 1] 3 4 4 1 5 3 4 4 4 3 1 [2] 1 4 1 1 4 2 1 5 4 4 2 3 1 5 3 5 1 5 1 [3] 1 5 3 2 1 1 2 5 1 5 4 2 4 3 1 1 [4] 5 4 1 1 4 5 2 [5] 1 2 3 1 1 5 4 3 4 3 1 5 [6] 1 1 3. I tried a symbol letter number cipher to decrypt, but it did not make sense. as what i go was the following C D D O C D D D C A N K D U E D D W O C E A O C U L E O D X C K E D A N E B L C K E D C D C A E A M Even tried changing the numbers to give values between 1 and 26 and adjusting 1 4, to 14 to see if it made sense. I just need to figure out what the decryption key is.2 points

Do you want to rule the west? Murder, burn, and pillage everything you see? Are you toothpaste and orange juice, step on legos, hardcore, tough skin mean guy and you want to be surrounded by people just like you? Well too bad. That’s the Wild Bunch. We’re…The MILD Bunch. A group of outlaws who are really just looking to make friends, and run around together. Mischief, more than mayhem, we’re a mixed bag of players who wanted something a little more casual than the raid level intensity of other groups. There’s no interview, no strict hierarchy, just a bunch of gamers who enjoy each other’s company and want to hang out with other fun people. We consider ourselves on the border of serious and casual, leaning more toward casual. We’ll run events and plan, but if you don’t want to join those sorts of things, and just want people on your friend’s list who will always be down to posse up, we’ve got that covered too. Even if you just want friends who play the game, and a place to gush about it, we’re all over it. Of course, there will be murdering and we DO intend to have a branch of the posse that runs our patch of land, but we also have plenty of players who just want to fish, gamble and be merry. So we look forward to seeing you in our Discord (PM or comment for an invite to it), but if not, see you out there on the plains, hopefully on the right side of our shotguns.1 point

I've been using it with mostly success. If you plot your trip on the roads, it is safer for sure. Still, I have.. 1. Ran into another rider. (Had to kill him) 2. Been ambushed by bounty hunters along the road. (killed them too) 3. Ran into the pilings of a bridge and almost killed the horse and me. I find that it works very well with relaxing your hands while letting the horse take the reigns. You just can't leave it unattended. You never know when you'll have to jump out of cinematic mode to quickly respond to a random encounter or event. Otherwise, it's been fantastic.1 point

Two things, unless I find a group of awesome players that make it worth getting online for or they give us a co-op only server. My time online could become limited, cause I have no interest in buying online cards just to keep up with players that troll 24 Seven.1 point

Almost 100,000 views... a month later... not even a confirmation that they really acknowledge the problem. wish they would just say that it can’t be fixed so I could stop checking this thread every single day....1 point

They really could have tried harder. I am sure some of the people back then look like some brokeback mountain family edition monsters but not everyone did! I was hoping to make a real looker (female character) and it seems I will have to settle for my cousin who is also my brother's wife. 😨1 point

Crouching is with the left thumbstick, cover is RB (R1 on PS4). You also have to be near something that you can hide behind for cover (rock, wall, crates, etc).1 point

I tested it on a 1080p TV from Sony and it looks much better than on my 4K TV from the Samsung MU 6100.1 point

Not a good look for R* to have a total failed launch for online1 point

HOLY COW! Just watched a few trailers, I'll definitely be watching this! Thanks for the heads up. 😀1 point

That's the entire point of releasing it to a small batch of players first. They disappoint a much smaller crowd if something goes wrong. Hopefully they can get it fixed today. I'll probably stick to offline for a while anyway, but I know online was the entire reason some people got the game.1 point

ouch Updated November 27, 2018:Xbox One Red Dead Online players are experiencing issues at launch, with a "Coming Soon" message displayed to those on the console.1 point

Yeah saw some footage from about an hour ago of a dude on PSN playing it so idk if it’s just local to Xbox or if they took the server down sucks though!1 point

The Pro team must have realy bad eyes or they just don’t care. It will be fixed i think, but it will be when they feel like it and NOT when we want it to be fixed. Such a shame to leave game of the year in such a poor state!!!!1 point

So it was said that it goes live for Ultimate Edition today at 830a EST (in about 5 minutes). I'd imagine it would open for other players on the other days also at 830a EST. Either way, I'm excited. It's almost 530a for me (PST) and I have about 2 hours to play before going to work 😃Even set an earlier alarm to get up right before it launched.1 point

Yup, beans on toast is a legit thing. You can't beat the full monty one for lunch. Has sausages and other bits with the beans. I have got to admit the one which has always baffled me is the whole sweet and savory on the same plate at breakfast. Pancakes, syrup and Bacon caught me off guard the first time. To be fair Bacon rocks, so I can sort of see the logic of trying to get it included everywhere. Thanks for the great welcome mate, hope to see you online.1 point

I have done crouching and taking cover and messed up myself a few times. I wasn't aware there was a difference and thought it was an auto thing.1 point

Welcome to the forum! I have to ask, is beans on toast a legit thing over there people eat on the regular? Always seemed a bit strange to me. haha I'm in the US though so you all likely think a lot of things we do are weird as well. Either way, hope you enjoy it here man!1 point

Certain missions you will not be able to go back and do but I believe everything you mentioned is still available to complete so no worries on that!1 point

Begrudgingly completed the game with my 55X900E ps4 pro setup and have to agree with many of the posts here in that the post effects are detrimental to IQ at times and the aggressive TAA is an awful match with the 1920x2160p checkerboard upscale. Coupled with the shambolic HDR hack job and I feel like half the value of my experience has been cut away. Been playing hitman 2 of late and IOI's 1440p HDR presentation is a breath of fresh air from a FAR smaller team on a VASTLY lower budget.... What the hell R* how can you leave RDR2 like this A MONTH AFTER TAKING MY MONEY!!! Sorry for the vitriol I just feel like R* left the 4k hdr crowd behind un-necessarily here.1 point

Same thing i was wondering. Never had a problem with the Lenny mission, done it twice now after forgetting to save and having to restore for something else, haven't gotten to Dutch's mission yet. I like to ignore him when he calls my name in camp.1 point

I would love it and my posse would be down as well!1 point

I spew explicative laced tirades at them all the time. Especially during poker. Then I stand up, manually save my game, and go full OJ on them.1 point

Maybe a leaderboard where it tracks your kills against another crew so you can have rivalry’s and when you have a rivalry with another crew you can join their lobby at will.1 point

I would definitely like to see more competitive activities between posses.1 point

I think my buddy did one of these in GTA on that forum. Not entirely sure what his username would have been but I remember him trying to get me in on it. Sounds like a lot of fun. I might be interested.1 point

I don't remember the amount, but I do remember what I did, I was in cinematic mode and the Idiot Magnet on my horse turned on, I auto ran into another guy that was sight-seeing in the middle of the road in Valentine, I was charged with assault he was charged with dynamite to the chest, trying to take care of the lonely witness one thing leads to another and at the end I was shooting an elderly woman when I tried to take cover at the Inn... I was feeling like I was on the Mad Max movie, my character was shooting everything while yelling "WITNESS THIS!" to the town.1 point
