I wouldn't mind being able to play as Micah. There are plenty of bridges to throw myself off of! I'd probably be more creative about it though (insert video of @BropolloCreed79 being kicked off a bridge by his horse)4 points

Makes sense. Given the creepy/weird/supernatural elements that are already in the game as side quests and/or Easter Eggs, I fully expect them to incorporate some element of that into DLC, although maybe not until later on, to coincide with Halloween later this year. Releasing "Undead" content or a variation of that in February or March hardly seems appropriate. First of all, I'm stealing this idea and creating a "Micah" for online play. It'd be worth sitting through the cinematic again. Second, anyone can go out with a bang like that, but a true "Micah" player would be the ultimate troll: betraying everyone in his groups during online play, driving stagecoaches of NPC's directly into a game of "Chicken" with a locomotive, or even just shooting eveyone's horses out from under them for hours on end...2 points

What an entertaining thread this turned out to be, been real busy lately so I haven't been on the forum much so I feel a bit late to the party but it's been hilarious to read through the comments nonetheless. Poor moron trying and failing to promote his mediocre content gets salty when others critic his stupidity and lack of skill, I love it.2 points

Ron America became the behemoth it is today because substantively of the two world wars.... Wars which it stepped into at the most opportune moment for itself and it's currency. Whilst I see nothing wrong with that per se, that is the reality... It worked the wars to build the replacement for the tangible European empires it denounced at Versailles in 1919 and created a hegemonic fiscal power base, an intangible empire if you will.... That has not lasted.... Because capitalism turns and the USA along with the UK are now majorly 5th world countries, post industrial and wandering a wasteland of economic misery ..... Both were built on vast export power and control of other countries trade... But that has all withered and now they are left with the patriotic sentiment of power, but not the actual export/fiscal power. It is difficult to explain this highly complex subject, simply ..... For an economy to grow in a capitalist model, one must have immigration of poor people ... They in fact do not take jobs, they create work by their presence... They are willing to work longer and harder for less money than 'a local' because in their view, the money has more value. This creates new work....... It is somewhat strange that America, entirely built on immigration now wants a wall... well, the lower classes and less educated of course. There are many parallels to be drawn between the conditions both social and political of the US and the UK presently with European conditions of the 1920's ... The masses are swallowing the exact same propaganda for the self same reasons..... Economic demise, poverty and mostly fear of the unknown. Whilst businessmen say "Leave me alone so I may prosper' .... The working class/blue collar say "I must be given work" ... When there is no work to be had they look for someone or something to blame ... Immigrants are a very simple target but not the issue in any manner. But people like Trump and the Brexit mob, they pounce on this ignorance and they preach FEAR - GREED - HATE, just like the Fascists or National Socialists or Ultra Nationalists or indeed, Communists .... "Your life is awful because of those people... they are taking what is yours and laughing at you...." Then the masses work out the hate part on their own ... Now the clever part, because they fill in the hate, all of a sudden they think it was all their idea ... as Dr P Joseph Goebbels correctly identified "Propaganda works best when those who are being manipulated are confident they are acting on their own free will" Jobs did not leave the USA or UK because of cheap wages per se, they left because the wages of the masses in those countries were dropping in real terms...... In the UK for example, ordinary workers have not seen a rise in their real income since the early 1970's and I suspect the US is the same...... So to sell them goods, one has to make them cheaper... so one sends the work elsewhere ... Today in China they send much work to Myanmar, because China has become too expensive for many products to be made there for it's local economy. The capitalist wheel never stops turning. However it gets worse, much worse very soon ....... The real issue and the change from 20th century Europe is Ai and AGi ...... Ai, Artificial Intelligence and the more problematic, AGi .....Artificial General Intelligence. Ai means we program a robotic machine to do something and it follows those instructions to the letter ... Nothing more or less... If you tell it to paint the car pink, it paints the car pink until told to stop. Or pours coffee or flips burgers ........ Whilst AGI means a computer brain which says ... I think, therefore I am and it learns exponentionally by it;s own powers as a human child does.... but at billions of times the speed In tests so far the issues start when these AGi units talk to another, the fact there is another 'brain' tells them they are in existence, they have something to make comparison with. .... So quite soon while you might tell it paint cars pink, it might decide it prefers blue, or you have too many pink cars. The real upshot is this ... The turn of capitalism has created the loss of millions of manufacturing jobs in the USA & UK ... for them to be replaced by poorly paid service industry work .... But within 30 years there will be no service industry work either, because AGi and Ai will be doing it. Then one has to start to talk about a Universal Basic Income model, as is already happening in the halls of power ... Somehow people, the masses, they have to be sustained when there is simply no work for them...... We are returning to Rome and 'Bread and Circus', or maybe 'Rollerball' ...... But certainly free food and free entertainment. The fundamental issue with that, as my wife a Dr of Psychology will tell you, is the complete loss of hope. Who really buys lottery tickets? Plays bingo and other non-skilled gambling? Poorer people.... Whilst it is often millions and millions to one that they will win.... they still expend a relatively high % of their income on hope. That is what they are buying, hope. So when you have no job, no possibility of a job, when your life choices are very limited and almost totally dictated ... where is the hope? Just as these same people say 'I must be given work', then 'I must be given food and entertainment' they will soon say 'I must be given hope' It is a conundrum yet to be answered ... But the wall? That's just a smoke screen to stop the masses thinking.2 points

Howdy everyone, Padalex here. I’ve been playing RDR2 for 2 months now I think and have completed the story, on my second playthrough right now. I also play Online with some of my friends, but spend most of my time in single player until more Online content comes out. I am a down to earth person who talks about everything and I love game photography (and so happy that this game has a fully functional 19th century camera). My playstyle is varied, but I usually like to take my time and explore everything, else I feel like I got to backtrack all the time or even do everything over again to get the full experience. Looking forward to get to know some of you! (I’d say everyone, but that’s virtually impossible).1 point

Your crazy guy sounds a lot like my cat. She's run up to an unobservant squirrel, sniffed it's tail and walked away. She also chased off a coyote once. Not sure what she was thinking there.1 point

read this wrong, you're talking expansion to the game. We know what happens with John after RDR2, why not the rest? I think it would be fun to play as Sadie and see her story expanded. Or play as Bill/Dutch/Charles up until they get killed by John in RDR. Or why not go farther back and see how each member (and the ladies) got to be in the gang.1 point

I think your biggest issue is expecting it to be resolved immediately. You were told that they're working on it. Just have a little patience. If you REALLY needed that $20, you wouldn't have spent it on in-game currency in the first place.1 point

those were easy except the hit 3 and win. I'd repeatedly hit 3 and end up wiht 18 or 19 and sometimes 20 and lose. i lost track of the stats i had posted on how many people died because of that by the time i finished. My son took the click counter i was using and reset it for something he was doing. i'm stuck on the 3 kills in 10 seconds with the throwing knife and shooting the 3 hats off peoples heads without killing them still. Going to try them again tonight as i just finished the mission to upgrade my deadeye in chapter 4 last night before i went to bed.1 point

Congrats! I don't think i'll get 100%. After restoring my game way back when to get the white horse back i can't get some of the challenges again. Trying the same way i did the first time and i'm unable to complete them.1 point

How do you miss a main mission? Aren't those forced on you? I know there are optional side missions, are those required for 100%? I only used the guide for the chapter 6 and the epilogue (regarding missions). I guess I just got lucky, I got my 100% on Sunday.1 point

No. The posse is not active when the leader is not online. You or the other posse members have to form your own persistent or temporary posse. Posse leaders can delete members to make room for new ones should they wish. You can be a member of multiple posses at the same time, just being active in one at a time.1 point

I have the initial tutorial, but the freeroam seemed available after just a few missions. You may not have went far enough yet, but should be close.1 point

Yes, that would be correct. Everyone sucks at the game. If you auto-aim, you suck. If you free aim you suck. Great there goes our self-esteem out the window. Thanks Everyone.1 point

I never met ghost/cheater in RDO yet, maybe i'm lucky But for sure YodaMan is right: Some ability cards can gives you huge defensive advantage. Personnaly, i mixed "Slow and Steady III" (less general dammage and no insta-kill from headshot while using dead eye) with "Never without one III" (way less dammage if wearing a hat + block 1 headshot). Just with these two cards you are already 3x stronger than at the beginning.1 point

Well the main issue with everything is the auto aim...... I would prefer it if we would have more options to dodge like a roll or so, however the ability to shoot whilst doing it should not be there .1 point
-
ALCON Haha y'all arguing over some thing like a bunch of 2nd graders. 1. Auto aim is definitely easier than free aim, hence its name "aim assist" 2. There is nothing wrong with using auto aim, if that helps you. 3. Have some humility and common sense...don't create a rhetorical post IOT brag about your video game prowess (hand/eye coordination, reaction time?) But thank you for the entertaining read. God Bless. v/r The Coca-Cola Kid1 point

I'm really not sure. Anytime I heard people having an issue with this mission, it was down to losing the gun. I mean you will need the mission completed to 100% the game so if you can't find a way to correct it and you do want to 100% the game, you may have to start over, unfortunately.1 point

As you play on and slowly rise the bid, other players usually fold one after the other, once there is only 1 or 2 left, no matter what cards you have bet enough to make the one with less cash go all in, its 50/50 for him to call your bluff and then another 50/50 for you to actually win but if you do you bust him out. Its the way I did it anyways ;p took me like 10 mins I think. Hope it helps1 point

My friend finally admitted to it, said he did it on a dare. To much drinking going on yesterday. He bought my 25 gold today so I could replace some of my stuff again.1 point

As a Western themed game I can see future implementations of game mechanics which work to allow more outlaw/lawman roleplaying. Currently people seem to have to kinda make up their own ways of being a good/bad guy, and I can see both points of view. There's also another point that some kids etc and genuinely nasty people want to impose misery on others...and there should be ways to do this which enhance the game, not lead to endless arguments about what is/isn't "griefing". And for anti-griefers there should be incentive to hunt these people down...like a bounty system perhaps? Should people be allowed to ruthlessly rob and kill NPCs and PCs? Clearly, yes, because all of these GTA/RDR games are focused on those themes. Should there be a penalty system built in to the game mechanics, like the bounty system...yes, because that happened in real life and is present in the single player. I don't think we should confuse people's play styles with their real world personalities: an actor plays a role; a player does the same. The character that they play is not the person playing it! I can see that The Ugly (as a stranger to me) may be the nicest person in real life, but in this game world he wants to be a nasty piece of work...that should be allowed, as this is a brutal genre, where hard people would do what it took to survive...however if people committed crime they would be hunted down, wanted, become renowned for their eveil deeds and bounties would be placed. Do the crime, do the time sort of thing. I'm not sure whether this is truly Beta, or not, due to the presence of microtransactions, however if we consider the life cycle of this game in the context of GTA Online, we can appreciate this is very early days. I think more mechanics will be introduced to reflect the Old West, bounty systems where killing leads to real consequences. The Ugly wants to play an awful, ruthless killer and that's cool, but currently the mechanics don't quite cater to a fulfilling way of doing that. Poggy and others tend more towards the Lawman role, wanting peace order and prosperity from lawful means, although I'm sure even he would not play a hunting/fishing simulator and accepts that in an outlaw game people will do bad things to NPC and PC alike! The game is SCREAMING for an official implementation of systems to allow and enhance the good guy/bad guy roleplaying elements. Also as per history, sometimes lawmen and outlaws weren't so very different, and sometimes a person would act in ways that went against their roles, lawmen committing crimes, outlaws becoming lawmen etc. So imagine a guy like The Ugly wants to be evil and get hunted down...implement a bounty system where there would be a price on his head for his crimes. Maybe at some point he is so wanted, and there is a reward for players that kill him, that he can't go anywhere without being relentlessly hunted: so there is some "redemption" system, where he can ease the heat by doing some good deeds etc. Conclusion: Rockstar may be working, watching and listening to feedback, to see what players want combined with their own vision of the game. It seems logical from the genre, the singleplayer, history of the Wild West, and feedback from players that enhanced roleplaying mechanics are needed and will most likely be introduced. Griefers could grief, with consequences that hurt ther character through fines etc. Anti-griefers could be lawmen and bounty hunters. People's online character could fluidly change from good to bad and back again as people are not generally all good or all evil. I think changes are needed, obvious, will come soon, and could make this online aspect a really good simulation of the West with its cops and robbers implemented in a truly satisfying way for all concerned.1 point

Thanks for the support, but I think you've over-egged your pudding. Bit strong. I'm not sure there's a direct line from troll to murderer, for example. I suspect the hyperbole here is ... Deliberate? But I do believe his actions and attempted justifications belie a character flaw, yes, a bullying mentality, and that probably does have real life correlations.1 point

Great ideas. But unfortunately, this game looks like following the GTAO model of milking players of their real cash. By implementing a ridiculous economy that demands players grind for many hours or visit the Playstation store.1 point

Seems like a lot of what’s in the single player is missing from online. - Making temporary camps to cook. - Hair growth and cut. - Bad rep in each region for bad doings increasingly giving you bounty and law after you. - Horse wrangling where you can keep the horse. Etc etc... all these features are what make the game. As well online is not multiplayer... it’s go play a watered down version of the game and either avoid or shoot on sight other players so you don’t continuously die. In the multiplayer world there’s more than pvp... that’s why rdr has the pvp challenges. What would be so wrong with playing the full game minus the story missions with other players... and if you want to be a bad guy have ever increasing consequences to deal with for your choices?1 point

actually, they do. they have a whole group who does nothing but test. But even then there's no way in hell they can catch all the bugs and exploits and glitches. They mainly just test for major issues. Beta testing by players is by far the most effective testing for any game, but they usually do closed beta testing with a selected user base. I think it's cool they did RDR2 as open beta. Thins out the idiots you'd have to deal at release if they did closed beta1 point

Diving doesn't make you immune to being shot. Diving does break auto aim lock ons.. Are you saying auto aim is realistic? The fact that you think using diving to break auto aim lock ons is an exploit is kind of funny tho.1 point

Actually no, I use Auto-Aim because it makes it easier due to my physical disabilities and it's people like you that make the case for games to include Auto-Aim as an accessibility feature fall short of delivering to include gamers like me. Your attitude and hunger for attention is shameful and embarrassing. Congrats because the only attention you're getting here is negative attention. I'm enjoying reading your nonsense and awaiting more roasts on you from other members... it keeps me warm on this brisk December afternoon1 point
-
You're using auto aim.. And score boards don't care about RNG skills. Auto aim or free aim. So taking cover is noobish. Something that soldiers and police officers in real life learn to do in REAL shoot outs. But its noobish in video games.. Because your scraggly ass said so? I don't think so.. Again.. you're using auto aim. Oooh please. Real pros like me. Only shoot people in the nuts. All nuts shots.. All the time.1 point
-
A fact that you can't back up.. Isn't a fact. Its an opinion. So let me get this straight... If people use free aim and go for body shots its noobish or just luck. But when you use auto aim.. Its 100% pure skill and you're the best ever. LMFAO.1 point

All I learned from that is that diving out of the way seems to be way over used. Did you really create a thread on an internet forum to call yourself the best RDR player? That's turd city bro. Also, isn't this what everyone does in online? Aim-flick-fire? You're not too bad at making montage videos though. Need to work on your narcissism.1 point
